I hired Salon Maison for my wedding and I would highly recommend! First off, I received excellent customer service during these COVID-19 times. They were very understanding when we had to postpone our wedding. When we finally picked a new date, they were very responsive and quick to answering questions and adjusting my contract. I went to the location in West Seattle. Katie was my consultant and I was so happy with her work during the pre-session and actual wedding day. I showed her a few reference photos and she did a great job with the look I was going for. On my wedding day, Katie also did hair and makeup for my sister. She did a wonderful job with the look she was going for too. Katie also listened to a couple small changes I wanted to make and I was very satisfied with the final look. We had terrible weather so Katie made sure that my hair and makeup would stay put. And she definitely delivered! After the ceremony, we held a brief celebration outside, and I am still shocked at how well my hair and makeup held up in the crazy wind and rain! I would highly recommend Salon Maison for those looking for bridal hair/makeup, especially with a larger group. Because I had five bridesmaids and two moms getting their hair/makeup done alongside me, I knew I needed to enlist the services of a reputable company that could handle that. Salon Maison did not disappoint. From the initial booking to the execution on my wedding day, it was a pretty wonderful experience. Celeste, Cindy, and the team are all very responsive and flexible. Angela, my stylist, was FANTASTIC. After my hair and makeup trial, I had a few minor changes and she accommodated them perfectly on my wedding day. My hair and makeup was exactly what I imagined for the big day and looked almost as good at the end of the night (almost twelve hours later) as it did earlier that morning! Additionally, the Salon Maison team was awesome on the big day. My bridesmaids and moms were all so happy with their services and everyone's hair and makeup looked simply beautiful. They finished on-time (actually a few minutes before), so we were able to snap some fun photos in the hotel room with our hair/makeup done, robes on, and mimosas in hand. My only "complaint" with Salon Maison is their contracting method. The contract process is quite confusing - they insist that you sign the contract after each change is mind. While I understand why, it made it extremely confusing at times, and we ended up having to add on several services at the trial, which increased the cost. Overall, I am so pleased and thankful that we went with Salon Maison. Thank you all again!

Of all the salons I've been to, this has to be the best for weddings. I've been a bridesmaid twice in Seattle and both brides used Salon Maison. If it wasn't for their weddings, I would've never thought to walk into their salon or used their services. I had my wedding this past April and Southern California and it was perfect because the salon owner was based out of California. My trial was at Heather's house and she both her passion and excitement for cosmetics and for the wedding made me excited for the wedding. She was easy to talk to and very attentive. All I told her was what colors and style I was looking for and she made it look even better!! The best thing about Salon Maison's work is that it stays on ALL DAY LONG. I was in California in last June 2016 and it was around 90 degrees. I ran around running errands both indoors and outdoors and sweated a lot, but the product was resistant to everything that day. My hair held up extremely well and I was happy to tell her that I loved it and wanted to book an appointment. The day of, I had overslept and both Heather and her assistant were prompt. I felt so bad, but even with my 5 minute delay, we got all 5 of us ladies done and they were out the door. They were so good with my bridesmaids and their requests. Service was prompt, professional, attentive, and it's a wedding, so fun! I highly recommend Heather because she has good tips for hair and skin to prep for your wedding, but she also has an infectious and amazing personality. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOOOOVE this hair salon and would recommend it to everyone.

My wife and I got married in October (2019) at the Mission Inn Hotel in Riverside CA and we really enjoyed working with Salon Maison for our hair & makeup services! Our Bridal and Bridal Party hair and makeup was just perfect! From the moment I emailed and called Salon Maison they were very clear, honest, and communicative. I loved that they immediately in my first email sent me their pricing. I did a lot of research and found that Salon Maison's pricing was very average/fair for high quality services and the years of experience they have! Being two brides, having two Mother of the Brides, and 8 Bridesmaids, Salon Maison was very helpful and accommodating in making sure our hair and makeup looked great for our large party of 12 ladies! I found them to be very communicative over email and the phone and they always responded quickly. Handling payments over the phone was very easy with them too. Both of our hair trials were wonderful and we truly had a great experience. With having two Brides, it was important to us that we had multiple stylists so that we wouldn't get behind in our getting ready the morning of the wedding. Salon Maison said that we would have at least 3 stylists for the day. The morning of the wedding, there was unfortunately a medical emergency with one of our 3 stylists and Salon Maison emailed/called at 5:45am that day to inform me. Due to the medical emergency they said they were sending their most senior stylist as one of our 2 other stylists and that they would work on getting a third person. Our hair/makeup was supposed to start at 7am, but they said they would be about 15/20 minutes delayed because of this and unfortunately they were closer 45/50 minutes late which made our day start about an hour behind. We also didn't end up getting a third stylist like we needed. This delay was unfortunate as it affected our photo taking schedule later, but of course there was nothing we could do since it was a medical emergency. We ended about an hour later than planned. It was unfortunate, but not their fault. I wish there was perhaps a back up stylist plan with Salon Maison, in case something like this happens. Despite the late start, our stylists Heidi and Aliyah were fantastic. They did such an incredible job making sure that our Bridal Hair/Makeup and our Bridal party's Hair/Makeup looked wonderful. They both truly listened to us in what we were wanting and what our Mother's and Bridesmaid's wanted as well. Heidi (the most senior stylist), was a hair/makeup magician. Despite the late start and missing 3rd stylist, she got through our party's hair/makeup so quickly and so we were only 1 hour delayed. She also was so kind to offer our full party complimentary eye lashes with their makeup due to the delay. Overall, we really enjoyed working with Salon Maison despite the hiccup and absolutely loved our hair and makeup on our wedding day! Our hair/makeup lasted till the very end and we felt fabulous every moment.

Salon Maison did a wonderful job with hair and makeup for me and my whole bridal party. I found them a pleasure to work with. They were efficient, professional, and talented. On the recommendation of my photographer, I contacted Salon Maison last December. He told me that they always do great work and they run on time. I had no trouble getting in touch with anyone over there. We exchanged a few emails and a phone conversation. One reviewer here complained about the contract, but I thought it was perfectly reasonable. All the money is completely refundable up to 90 days out so even if you didn't like the terms, you are not on the hook. I originally booked for myself, 4 bridesmaids, and the moms. The moms elected to do their own makeup, and I had absolutely no trouble amending the contract prior to the 90 day mark. I did the pre-session at their salon in Bellevue. They gave me a glass of champagne and put us in a nice room they have set up for pre-sessions. Heidi, the lead stylist for my wedding, did my hair and makeup beautifully. We also talked about my bridesmaids who have all different sorts of hair and came up with a plan. On my wedding day, Heidi and her team of two additional stylists showed up promptly. They had allotted 10:45-2:45 for the five of us. Heidi did my hair and makeup just like at the pre-session, and the other girls worked with Heidi and her assistants. I will say that Heidi did have to have one of her assistants re-start one of my bridesmaids' hair, but that was the only hiccup I noticed. She was also attentive after all of our hair was done, noting if any pieces came out or needed to be re-pinned. My hair certainly stayed in place all night, and I believe my bridesmaids' did as well. And guess what? They finished early! We were all done by 2 pm which gave us a few minutes to relax before getting into our dresses. We even had time to get the room staged for dress pictures before the photographer showed up. I got SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on my hair! Everyone loved it! I am so happy with the work they did. I guess the only cons are (a) they are a bit expensive and (b) the fake lashes cost extra for your bridesmaids and at the pre-session (they are included for the bride on the day of). With regard to (a), you get what you pay for, and I have no regrets on that front. With regard to (b), the lashes take a long time. Heidi spent a lot of time placing them properly, blending them, and removing excess glue from around my eyes. But once she was done, I was so comfortable in them and didn't even notice them for the rest of the night.

Update: I was able to connect with someone new at Salon Maison and she has been incredibly helpful. All I wanted was some communication and responses to my questions and so far she has made me feel a lot more confident in my decision to work with them. Update #2: On the day of my wedding, my hair and makeup looked great but they weren't able to get my bridesmaid's hair quite right and one of them ended up redoing hers herself. I'd say overall, my experience was good/somewhat met expectations. I wouldn't say they blew it out of the park. read more

Salon Maison artists did absolutely beautiful work on my and my bridesmaids and mothers' hair and makeup for my wedding. They truly took the time to create the looks we were hoping for and were responsive to our wishes, incorporating them into their creations and even redoing as necessary. I felt very comfortable in their hands after the pre-session appointment and on the wedding day. I highly recommend them!! read more

I am writing this review to warn other brides of the issues I experienced. Like many other reviewers, I was dazed by their award-winning stats and high reviews on The Knot and Yelp. However, after 3 months of trying to make this work, I have given up. Based upon the response from Mary, who I believe maybe the owner (she never has given a title, just sends the emails), they do not care about my little wedding, in her words - "we always book up and turn away many weddings". Without getting into my long saga of woe, here are is a brief summary of my issues and concerns with Salon Maison to give other brides some pause before deciding to contact this company. 1. No real contract until deposit is received - When I asked about getting a contract, I was told we will send you a sample contract, you have a week from this date to organize a deposit and contract. The definition for sample is ' A portion, piece, or segment that is representative of a whole'. Thus, a sample contract is not the real contract. When I asked Mary for a real contract before making a deposit she said " I have sent you a sample contract already. You must make a deposit then we will send you a contract to sign.". She refused to send me a real contract which screams business practice concerns for me and my fiancee, who negotiates contracts for a living. This raises red flags which organizations such as the Better Business Bureau warn against. By paying a deposit you are agreeing to their terms without seeing their real contract. Why would anyone ever commit to spending a considerable amount of money without seeing the actual real contract first. To add increased concern to this companies business practices, I reviewed the very hard to read sample contract to find that they had sneaked in a minimum bridal party amount for the date of my wedding, even though I had confirmed verbally with 2 people that there was no minimum. When I contacted Mary of the issue and my growing lack of trust in their services, she abruptly said 'thank you for letting me know you will not met the minimum. Let us know if this changes. You spoke with our receptionist who is not trained to answer these complex questions. ' Well its time to train your stylist too. She never even addressed my contract concerns. 2. No Stylist Guarantee - You are not provided the name of your stylist until nearly 3 months prior to your wedding date. I was assured all stylists are trained in the same manner, but I have seen and heard mixed reviews regarding different stylists and was not allowed to get a day of wedding and trial stylist guarantee, regardless that I was booking over a year before my wedding date. Also, based upon the issue that the owner has not trained her receptionist on a basic FAQ regarding wedding date minimums, how can I be assured she has trained all her staff consistently on hair and make-up. 3. Communication - During the initial discussion phase, every email was responded with'someone will call you'. Firstly, I played phone tag for 2 weeks with one of their stylists where I left message after message with no call back until I called their office in frustration, spoke with a receptionist who got the stylist to call me. Secondly, by having a business model where there is nothing put in writing during the 'discussion phase', the client has no recourse when you are told incorrect information. Mary blamed her receptionist for not being trained to answer a basic question of minimum's for my wedding day. I am sorry, but it is not your receptionist fault, its yours for not training her. I personally lose credibility with companies who willingly hide behind their staff's inefficiencies when they should be training them. Thirdly - Mary's correspondence tone is abrupt and scolding. She is not willing to work with you, or answer your individual concerns. Its her way or the highway. I hope this posting helps other brides go into discussions with this company aware of their business and operating practices. read more

Meh. For my wedding practice day, I had an appointment where I had expected to swan in, be handed a glass of champagne and ushered into the styling chair. Instead, I waited for ages in a waiting room (with no seats...oh sorry, make that one chaise lounge that was taken up by a random teenager) only to discover, from the snootiest woman ever, that they had lost my appointment. Once my appointment was eventually found, I was offered a shitty plastic cup of water, a half assed apology, and sat down in a janky side room. My stylist was very nice, but looked directly at my sample picture and proceeded to do my hair in a completely different way. After trying to explain that I wanted like the picture, twice, I came away with something......ok....but not like the picture, and my time was up. It's nice that they come to your house (or wherever) on the wedding day, and my stylist was kind and flexible, she did my Mom's hair even though we didn't have that scheduled (we paid full price for it of course, but the flexibility was still nice.) On the wedding day, we had the same hair issues, and I ultimately wasn't happy with it. She did my makeup as well, which we didn't have a practice session for, but I had a picture....which again was completely ignored. I'd never recommend this place, for weddings or blowouts or anything. The prices are outrageous for a level of service that's sub par. read more

I really really wanted to like Salon Maison. They came highly recommended on all the wedding sites and it felt like a slam dunk. Booking them and scheduling appointments was easy which was nice but things started to go south at the hair trial. The two ladies arrived at my house and it was very clear from their interactions that one was in charge and the other WAS NOT. The Lady In Charge bossed the other around to the point that I felt sorry for her and kept sending her sympathetic glances. The hair at the trial looked ok. The make up was great. Then the wedding day. They arrived on time and had me, 3 bridesmaids, and 3 moms to get through. Our ceremony was at 5:30 and they arrived around 10am. Plenty of time considering there were two of them. However, we all felt so rushed! The Lady In Charge hardly smiled at all and the fun girly beauty atmosphere I was hoping for was sorta ruined. Then the Lady In Charge did my hair and I really really didn't like it. I asked for a small modification (making the part less severe and a little less volume at the crown) and she told me that it couldn't be done. Huh? Had I not been so stressed out, I would have asked again but I felt so defeated by the whole experience that I just said 'ok' and moved on. It's just hair, right? I regret that now. Every time I look at my wedding photos, I cringe at my hair. It wasn't at all what I wanted and that makes me sad. I have great hair and the wedding felt like a time to really show it off. For the price I paid, I was hoping for a truly A+ experience but what I got was weird internal dynamics between the stylists and hair that still makes me cringe almost a year later. Ladies...if you can...go to Swink! I've had wonderful experiences there. read more

I recently got married and used Salon Maison for my reception hair/makeup as well as for my mother and mother-in-law. I live out of state and was extremely nervous about booking with a company with mixed reviews and such a wide variety of stylists, especially when I would not have time for a trial. However, a friend who had also used them for her wedding and loved them, highly recommended them so I bit the bullet and signed the contract. Pros: 1. Very fast. Three girls arrived at our hotel, the main one who I worked with was Madison. These girls were no nonsense and got straight to work-- which was great because we were able to finish everything with time to spare, so that I could relax for a few minutes before the reception :) 2. Good technical skills: she created a look based on a few pictures I showed her right before we started, and as we were going along, she was very open about making constructive changes with me and talking through what would work, what I liked/didn't like. 3. Professional: all three of the girls (sorry I don't remember the name of the other two who came to work on the moms) were very polite, efficient, and technically skilled. Even my mom, who doesn't even let me put mascara on her (me, her own daughter) ended up LOVING the look (both hair and makeup) that the girls did for her. Mainly, this was because they listened to us and were able to work with us instead of just doing what they thought would look good. 4. Affordable. We actually had our wedding and a separate reception in my hometown (not Seattle) where my hair/makeup people were great, but probably about 5 times more expensive. This definitely felt like a lot of bang for my bucks. Cons: 1. Difficult to reach a real person to talk to-- played a lot of phone tag. 2. The secretarial staff and inital people I spoke to and emailed with were a bit pushy in terms of "are you going to book with us now," "send us your money now." I initially got the feeling they just wanted my money and was actually really nervous about working with them. Thankfully, I was worrying for nothing and ended up really appreciating their work. whew! Also- Salon Maison has no idea I'm writing this, I get nothing from them for sharing. I was just so nervous and anxious after I booked that I wanted to share my positive experience for the future brides :) read more

I hired Salon Maison for my wedding, and their customer service was awful. Once they got the contract and money, I could not get a hold of them. It would take several emails and phone calls to get a response to schedule the pre-wedding make up session or discuss any concerns/things I wanted. They didn't provide a correct estimate for what we asked for initially and then tacked on costs once it was too late for to change to another company. It was to the point that our wedding planner had to intervene. Do not recommend them. read more

I am an event and wedding coordinator in the Seattle area and I recommend Salon Maison to all my brides! They not only do an incredible job but they are able to do so many different kinds of hair styles that fit with the girls they are working with. I had them do my hair and make up recently for the head shots on my website and I was so happy with what they did!! read more

I used Salon Maison for my wedding hair and make-up. One of the best parts is that they come to you for their services. I had a practice session at my home 3 weeks before my wedding. Amy was my stylist, and she was great! I loved the subtle but enhancing make-up. She told me what lip liner and gloss she used, so I could get some ahead of time for touch-ups on my wedding day. She looked at pictures of what I wanted and then started working. We practiced two hair looks, took pictures, and I decided by my wedding day which one to go with. She also did my bridesmaid's hair and make-up on the wedding day and it looked great too. I was shocked that my hair and make-up didn't budge, lasting from 11AM to 11PM. I normally become shiny at my t-zone but that wasn't the case this time. I also cried during the ceremony but my make-up didn't care and you couldn't tell. I had the SM team style my wedding party and myself in July. I had a pre consult and i don't feel like they listened to me. I looked very natural, but i could have easily achieved that look myself. When they gave me my "custom color" for my lips to go pick out at Nordstrom's from the Mac counter, the Mac employees told me that this salon gives EVERYONE that color it was the standardized color that they gave people. That really angered me. Its not cheap and they want additional tips the day of the wedding. Not that impressed. read more

Excellent, exceeded expectations! not cheap, but definitely worth it. Salon Maison provided me, my maid of honor and my mom with hair and makeup on my wedding day (May 2012) at the hotel where my wedding took place. They were fantastic, professional, efficient and sweet :) I loved that they made us look like better versions of ourselves, not crazily, heavily made-up. The two ladies who helped us were great about asking about our preferences and advising on what types of products and colors they recommended. During the trial run a couple of weeks prior, they took care to tell us the specific lip products they used so we could buy them in advance and have them ready for touch-ups during the wedding day. I wish I could have Salon Maison on call all the time! read more

As a professional photographer, I need my brides to look amazing. I need to know that the professionals I work with can deliver great results no matter who they are working on. Having used the professionals at Salon Maison for bridal shoots, boudoir shoots, and wedding day portraits, I highly recommend hiring them to any bride-to-be looking to make a stunning impression. They did my hair, 4 bridesmaids, my MIL and my mother for my wedding. 3 of my 4 brides had great hair... to start with, anyway. One of them had a hair meltdown mid-wedding and it turned into a tangled mess. Poor girl. The 4th had awful hair to begin with, but didn't have the heart to say anything. She had a very short hairstyle so she asked the stylist for suggestions (that is their job, right? We aren't professionals!) and what she came up with was horrifying...just plain ugly. My MIL and mother's hair was phenomenal, which is why I'm giving two stars. My hair, however, was not at all what I wanted. I brought in several pictures of similar styles and asked for input from the stylist about which would suit me best, but it was clear that she did not listen to my hopes for my hair. It didn't hold, and the staying spray they used left a gray film on my dark hair. I let them know that the trial run did not go well, that the style did not stay and the many concerns that I had. They scheduled for a second trial run (which, of all the negative things I have to say, I was grateful for a second chance!) but that didn't go any better. My curls wouldn't stay, even after I did EVERYTHING they recommended, including cutting my hair (they thought that since it was so long, it was too heavy...) Then the wedding day happened and my hair was so bad. I stylist even left my hairpiece in crooked until another stylist said something right before they were leaving! Really? You were going to let me walk down the aisle with crooked hair? Thanks... After she left, I looked at my hair and there were stray hairs mucking up the curls everywhere. What the heck? I definitely wasted my money. One of my maids ran after her, she came back, attempted to fix it, but it did little to fix a pretty bad situation. My hair fell out before pictures ended and my MOH recurled my hair before I walked down the aisle...What a freaking nightmare. It looks plain awful in my pictures. I would not recommend these guys for the price they charge. I am sure you can get much better results going elsewhere. Also, I had them do all of our makeup and...long story short, that didn't go well either. She forgot my eyelashes and to put mascara on me. When she was "finished," I had to request mascara. Ugh. AND, when paying so much, I expected a little extra touch up lipstick...nope. I spent an extra $50 per recommendation from the makeup artist to have the same colors from MAC so I could retouch later. Overall, a very disappointing experience. read more

I was very pleased with the on-site hair and makeup services I received from Salon Maison for my wedding. Christine was my personal stylist and did a fantastic job at my pre-wedding consult. She worked with me on a number of different makeup looks until we found the perfect style. She also did a great job of incorporating my veil into the classic French twist hairstyle I wanted. On the wedding day Christine and her assistant arrived at my hotel promptly and cheerily at 6 am and had me and my four bridesmaids dolled up with time to spare for my 10:30 am wedding ceremony. Salon Maison was incredibly flexible and responsive, and I was impressed that they were able to work my wedding despite the fact that I had contacted them only a few weeks before my wedding. Every time I look at my wedding pictures I am grateful for how beautiful Salon Maison made my bridesmaids and me! I would recommend Salon Maison to other brides. read more

I got my hair done with salon maison for a special event and they did an amazing job , i showed my stylist a picture of what i wanted and she talked to me about what would work best with my facial features and something I would feel comfortable with, in the end my updo turned out better than expected, i would 100% go back! read more

Our wedding was on March 31, 2011. Angela and Carla were the perfect pair for our day. They did an awesome job on each of us. Angela took care of me and Carla took care of the girls. My sister wanted heavier makeup than what I wanted her to have and they totally listened to me and gave her what I wanted for my day; without question. Don't be discouraged by their prices. They might be a little high for some; however, you get exactly what you want and they come to you. When they do your trial, they do as many do-overs as you want, until they get it exactly what you want at no additional charge. After a great deal of research and asking others for recommendations I chose Salon Maison for hair and makeup for myself and my bridesmaids and am so happy that I did. Not only were they incredibly responsive with my questions, but my entire experience from start to finish was fabulous. It was easy to schedule time for my hair and makeup trial and I never felt rushed or like I couldn't ask questions or give feedback. When it came to the day of the wedding they arrived a little early which was wonderful (and yes, they come to you!!!), and were a pleasure to work with. Everything went smoothly, each of my bridesmaids looked wonderful and my hair and makeup lasted throughout the entire day and evening. Salon Maison did hair and makeup for myself (bride) and my four bridesmaids. They were courteous, finished on schedule, and did a great job. I danced for hours and cried more than once and all of my bridesmaids commented how I still looked EXACTLY like I had in the morning when they'd finished with me. I took my hair down at about midnight (they'd done it at around 11am) and only one small piece had fallen out. We were home at about 2am that night, at which point I had managed to sweat off some of my makeup, but I couldn't believe how well everything had held. Would absolutely recommend them! read more

I had the most amazing experience with Salon Maison twice in one year! Both my sister and I got married in 2012 so I had their help from both a bridesmaid perspective as well as the bride. We had an amazing morning for my sister's wedding and there were 4 ladies who came out to help 6 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, 1 Nana and the bride get ready in 3 hours. We had hair and makeup that held throughout the day (and through the tears) and into the night and looked amazing the whole time. Heidi was the lead for her wedding as well as my own and I cannot say enough positive things about her. For my own wedding experience, the trial was great. We were able to figure out a hair style that was completely in line with the style of wedding I wanted - romantic and more traditional, but not stiff. My makeup was done with a skilled hand and lasted throughout the evening. Heidi and the other ladies are talented, professional, caring, and efficient! My hair is very long and very straight. It doesn't hold curl at all and I wanted curls for my wedding day. The curls in my first pre-session fell flat so, Heidi gave me a list of products to use in my hair and another complementary pre-session. The second pre-session was fabulous. I followed all of her instructions and my curls lasted for hours. The day of the wedding, the curls and makeup were unchanged throughout the day even through hugging and greeting guests. She helped me artistically arrange my hair piece so that it accented my hair style and added false eye lashes for an elegant touch. She addressed my concerns, made a masterpiece out of my hair and the false eyelashes that made my eyes look amazing. It was everything I was hoping for and more. I cannot express how happy I was with my hair and make-up for my wedding day. Brianna did such an amazing job, I never imaged I would look as good as I did on my wedding day and I got so many compliments on how stunning and beautiful I looked. All 8 of my bridesmaids got their hair done and they all looked so beautiful. They were right on time for the wedding day and went through all the girls and my mom on time and to make it even better, they came to US! I can't even tell you how helpful that was. It's really hard to believe these other reviews because I experienced nothing like what they said. Yes, it is expensive but it's honestly not like it's much cheaper anywhere else in the Seattle area and like I said, THEY COME TO YOU! If you are able to make it work, go to the Seattle Bridal Show, they offer great discounts that make it more affordable. Just like everything with weddings, vendors book up so it shouldn't come as a shock if they are already booked for your wedding date that's why you want to book early enough to make sure you reserve your spot. I contacted Salon Maison to do hair and makeup for my 8/21/14 wedding because I didn't want to be running to another location on my wedding day just for hair and makeup, especially that early in the morning. I booked my maid of honor and mother-in-laws hair and makeup and my sister-in-laws hair months out from the wedding. Then the bridesmaid who was going to do my hair and makeup was unable to attend the wedding so I had to add myself to our Salon Maison contract. This was no problem for them. I booked my trials for 2 weeks before our wedding and was worried because I'd been growing out my pixie cut for months and had no idea how long my hair would be. My trial went very smoothly. My hair and makeup looked amazing. I was very excited about our wedding day. The two women from Salon Maison (I'm blanking on their names now...I'm so sorry!!!) arrive at my hotel room at 6am on our wedding day. They were cheerful and ready to go. They did all our hair and makeup according to the contract and did a great job making sure my bridesmaids and mother-in-law each got a look they wanted and were happy with. My hair had grown quite a bit in just the two weeks since my trial, but my stylist did an incredible job and it looked amazing. We had some extra time and my mother was so impressed that we didn't all look like plastic barbie dolls (a HUGE concern when getting makeup done professionally) that she asked if they could squeeze in time to do her makeup as well. They did. Then my sister-in-law asked for the same. They did. They were so accommodating and did a great job making each of these beautiful ladies look like even more beautiful, without it being overdone. Bonus: the next morning my hair and makeup were still pretty much in place (even though I took out all the bobbypins the night before!), so I just put some pins back in to make it a little less slept on and looked awesome for a second day! My sister didn't take her bobbypins out the night of the wedding and her hair and makeup also looked awesome the second day! I highly recommend Salon Maison. read more

I was very happy with Salon Maison's services the day of my wedding. I had my hair and make-up done along with my three bridesmaids and two mothers. My hair and make-up looked just like it did during the trial run and lasted the entire day. I felt beautiful. Their on-location services are very convienent and worth the price. My bridesmaids and mothers looked wonderful and were happy with their services. I have to agree with other reviewers though about the stylists/make-up artists not being able/willing to make suggestions for those who were unsure about what they wanted or what would look best for their hair/skin type. I just had my wedding on March 1st and just finally got around to writing a review after my honeymoon. Heidi and her team were absolutely amazing. They showed up on time and started setting up immediately. They were very profession and since I didn't quite know what I wanted, they helped me to find the best look. I had 4 bridesmaids as well and started to get worried about finishing on time. Not only did we get done early but everyone look absolutely gorgeous. If I could give them 6/5 stars I totally would. I had Salon Maison for my hair/makeup on my wedding day, and it was a great experience. I chose them because I needed a vendor who would be able to travel to me, because I had such a hectic day and wouldn't be able to deal with traffic - this convenience made the price worth it to me. They were pleasant, professional, and open to my ideas. For my hair/makeup trial, I was able to try a few different looks (I wanted both an updo for my Vietnamese wedding ceremony and then change to having my hair down for the evening ceremony). On the actual wedding day, they were punctual and efficient, and listened to my mom and sisters' concerns and comments as they were getting their hair and makeup done. For my hairstyle switch in the afternoon, Salon Maison was able to change my hair from an updo to a sideswept curls look in a short amount of time. I ended up loving my hair and makeup, and both hair and makeup lasted through the night with no touch-ups required! read more

Salon Maison and Brianna were AMAZING!!! They made me feel beautiful on my wedding day. I'm normally a low-frills person and don't wear any makeup, so I wanted to feel comfortable, natural, and like myself -- but also a dressed-up version. I showed Brianna a few photos for inspiration, and she did a fantastic job with my hair and makeup! I picked a romantic, low up-do (with 16" hair extensions, since I only have chin-length hair and hair gets even shorter when it's curled -- I highly recommend the Halo extensions! They're much less expensive than traditional ones and were extremely comfortable) and a dewy, glowing, natural makeup look. I couldn't be more delighted at Brianna's work, and how beautiful she made my mother, mother in law, and bridesmaids look! She went above and beyond to make everyone happy, and has a wonderful comforting, calm energy. I was so nervous on the day of the wedding that I meditated during the 2 hours of hair and makeup, and while others might have found it weird, she totally understood :) And during the trial, she worked so hard to make each detail lovely and perfect. My trial ended up being almost 3 hours, and my Mom and I left elated. As a low maintenance person who is used to not wearing makeup, I will always remember how Brianna's amazing makeup and hair made me feel happy & confident on my wedding day. Salon Maison did the hair (Heidi) and makeup (Rose) for my daughter's wedding on Sept. 12, 2015. The bridal party all looked lovely, but the greatest transformation was what Heidi and Rose accomplished for me as mother of the bride. I intended to skip makeup and have my hair simply flat ironed, but coworkers convinced me to have makeup done as well, and I'm so glad they did! And Heidi convinced me to have my hair braided in the back and pulled over to one side to match the style of my dress, which was like an ancient Greek gown. The effect of both the hair and makeup was amazing! Guests oohed and aahed and several said I looked like I was in my 20's (I'm 52!) I don't know what Heidi and Rose did that was so different from my usual makeup routine (the hair was clearly different), but based on guests' reactions, the transformation was spectacular, and what they did made all the difference in the world to how I felt and was a huge confidence builder. I know the bride is the star of the show, which is how it should be, but the MOB is a big role too, and it made me feel good to look good! Not only that. She missed half of my head with toner. She noticed. And didn't tell me. She let me leave the salon with half of my head not toned. It's very noticeable from the back. I didn't see it at the appointment because she didn't show me the back - and now I know why. That's the worst of it, but she also didn't rinse my hair properly, so I still had product dried up and crusty in my hair. And she barely used any product while she blew out my hair on the highest heat, burning my scalp a couple of times and damaging my hair even more. And it was still a bit wet by the time I left. I'm usually pretty relaxed, so I didn't complain until after I went home and noticed that my head wasn't properly toned (which is also not that hard to do, I've done it myself during covid lockdowns - so it really is incredible that she messed up this bad and didn't say anything, hoping I wouldn't notice). Nothing about my experience with Haley was positive. Her work was incredibly sloppy, negligent, and dishonest. Edited to add (in response to Howie, the owner): You know the issue isn't with the toner itself - I did not see that she didn't do the back otherwise I obviously wouldn't have been "pleased". Again, you know this. I have a photo attached. You see how bad it is. I don't know why you're trying to act like that quality of service is okay. I didn't realize Red Chair's standards were so low, and I regret that I gave you all a shot :/ Also, I have to spend the holidays looking like this. So thanks for that.

She is so kind, gentle, listens to what style you'd like and takes time to teach you how to style your new do. I came in with very long- more than ultra long hair today. It was thick, coarse, dull and full of split ends. I came across great Yelp reviews and thought I would make an appointment to try out a new place. Surely, i was not disappointed! Olivia began thoroughly washing my hair, with a nice scalp massage too. Once done and in the chair, we then discussed the style being I was looking for: long u shaped with lots of layers and face framing pieces. She used only scissors, no razors. Hair was wet and she sectioned off the hair to blow dry and cut. After she was done cutting, she used a flat iron to show me how to style the layers to make it look fresh and full of volume! It looks absolutely beautiful. I look so much younger too! Thank you so much Olivia! I highly recommend her for your haircuts and all other hair needs!

I found Salon Maison through our vendor referral list from The Four Seasons. All I have to say is: PERFECT! Angela and her team did a beautiful job on my hair and make up as well as all my bridesmaids and both moms. During the starting process of booking them, they were quick to communicate, very responsive and caring. I was working with some pretty tricky family dynamics (mom and mother in law are wonderful people but are like oil and water together) but Salon Maison was great about helping me navigate through all of that. I wish they did wedding planning because with their experience, kindness, and expertise I would have definitely hired them to plan my entire wedding. They would answer my questions very quickly which was very refreshing compared to my other vendors. They are open 7 days a week so they are extremely easy to get a hold of. Because I know myself and know that I am picky I choose to have my pre-session appointment right away which they were totally fine with, they let you pick when you want it. They were so accommodating and were able to schedule me on a weekend even for my pre-session! On the day of my wedding, Angela and her team were on time and got us done a few minutes early. Her team consisted of herself, another hair and makeup consultant (Ashley), and Angela also had an assistant to help her prep curls to keep everything flowing nicely. Everyone loved their hair and makeup and they were very accommodating for last minute addons as well. I absolutely loved my hair and makeup, it even lasted through the tears when I saw my my now husband walking down the aisle. I told Angela I am not a crier but she waterproofed me anyway and I am so glad she did because I surprisingly ended up being a water fountain that day. I absolutely loved Salon Maison! The pre appointment was so much fun. I'm a professional model by trade so hair and makeup was my biggest concern. I was a little nervous but they won best hair and makeup for brides even over Gene Juarez so I booked an appointment with them (plus 3 other local places). They were the only ones that did not disappoint! My makeup was flawless and my hair was a half up style with a soft messy braid and beachy waves which was sooo stunning! Leading up to my wedding some ladies changed their minds on wanting just hair, or just makeup, or both, and management was very accommodating when I had to alter the reservation. I felt so embarrassed requesting constant changes but the office ladies really went above and beyond to make me happy. On the day they showed up early and handled 11 bridesmaids, myself, and the mothers. Using Salon Maison made it so easy to have such a large group, and everyone looked really beautiful. They came right to us for the same cost as others charge to come to the salon. So happy I chose Salon Maison and have referred them to all my friends. read more

My wedding was last weekend and I cannot tell you how awesome Salon Maison was. Brianna and her team arrived right on time at 12:00. They had 3 hours to get all 9 of us done and they even finished early. A few of the girls asked to add lashes last minute and it was no problem. I asked for a Victoria Secret style with volume and soft loose curls and it was perfect. My mother actually started crying when she saw me. During the afternoon I got a call from my photographer saying their car broke down and they were waiting for AAA which may cause them to be late! I started to have a little breakout moment but Brianna was so sweet and calm she helped keep me together. The whole team was so much fun to be around. Thankfully my photographer did show up on time WHOOO that was a scary one! At the end of the night we left about 11:40 and my hair still looked amazing. I actually went to sleep on it and the next morning it looked awesome too! Lol. Just a little messier version lol. I gave gift certificates to all of my girls as a special thank you. My wedding was last Sunday and I looked and felt like a million bucks! Salon Maison was my absolute favorite. They were so reasonably priced too (way less then Gene Juarez) plus they came to me on the wedding day. From the very start they were extremely professional and were quick to answer all my questions. When I went in for my trial they had complimentary champagne for me and I never felt rushed. It was a truly relaxing fabulous appointment. They work with your face shape and my stylist Katie had lots of great ideas for me and was so sweet and nice so I had no problem telling her that I wanted a little more blush. I tend to be shy so I really appreciated how easy going she was. I felt so beautiful leaving my trial. On my wedding day Katie arrived on time with her assistants and we got done 20 minutes early and everyone looked so amazing. Salon Maison is just amazing!...thats all I can say. Salon Maison came recommended to me by our coordinator and I also met them at the Seattle Wedding Show. My consultant Sarah was absolutely phenomenal! She was so kind, flexible and responsive to changes both at my pre-session and day of, and she completely NAILED everything. Sarah arrived a little early to set up and was done early on the day of, and she did an amazing job with everyone's hair and makeup. She took every precaution during a stressful pandemic and put us all at ease. Sarah, you're the best!! And absolutely everyone at Salon Maison was incredibly nice, flexible, professional and comforting during a very stressful time. Some of the logistics got a little mixed up during the process, but it was always resolved and Celeste and Cindy are incredibly quick to respond. I had Salon Maison provide just makeup for my bridal party, mother, and I and could not have been happier. My regular hair dresser did my hair which I later regretted. I should have had Salon Maison for both. I had Angela for my airbrush makeup and was so happy with everything. I really wanted a soft natural look and she had great suggestions and it ended up being perfect. She was extremely friendly and comfortable to be around, which helped a lot the morning of the wedding. I got airbrush makeup done and was so glad I chose it because it looked beautiful and flawless the entire day. The rest of the team who helped with my Mom and bridal party were very professional and did a great job with everyone. It was also wonderful to have them come to our house rather than us having to go find parking over at a salon. Salon Maison had exceeded my expectation in every aspect. I decided to do a pre-session and try out a few different looks that I had seen in magazines and really like. My stylist was AMAZING and helped me to find a style that made me look and feel absolutely beautiful. On my wedding day I received waves upon waves of compliments from my friends and family who attended my wedding! My whole experience was wonderful and more than I expected. First, the friendliness of the staff is superb. They are kind, very professional and ask questions to truly understand what you want. The quality of service was exceptional. Salon Maison was the best! I had no idea what I wanted for my hair and they came to me and made recommendations of styles that work with my facial features. I was pretty picky with my make-up but they did it perfectly. They did my entire wedding party and everything stayed all night. I highly recommend them! I did see 2 negative reviews on this site only and they were less then a week a part from each other so I felt it was a little fishy. It was so long and really mean that I got the impression it was somebody like a competitor trying to make them look really bad. I looked at all of their reviews on several different sites to get to the truth and all of them were outstanding. I am so glad I went with Salon Maison. I hired Salon Maison to do my July wedding and they did an absolutely fabulous job! I decided to do the pre-session to help figure out what I wanted for my hair and makeup. I am normally super picky and a neat freak but my stylist was so sweet and professional and helped me find a BEAUTIFUL look! Coming time for the wedding I was very nervous about everything going smoothly. I had 3 bridesmaids getting their hair and makeup done as well. On the day of my stylists showed up 5 minutes early and started setting up right away. They worked quickly and did an amazing job. We all got done a little bit early. I hired Salon Maison to do my hair and makeup for my April wedding, and they exceeded my expectations. I wasn't sure what I wanted as far as my hair or makeup style, so I scheduled a pre-session for a couple weeks before my wedding day. At the pre-session I asked my consultant what she thought would look good on me. She gave me a couple different styles until I fell in love with a super soft natural look. They are super professional and extremely helpful. On the wedding day they were early and started setting up right away. All my bridesmaids looked absolutely gorgeous. The whole day everyone was complimenting me on how amazing I looked. Bonnie did my hair and makeup for my wedding, and she was fantastic! I was so happy with how I ended up looking, someone at our photo shoot asked if we were models. My hair was in a chignon, with multiple loops. It lasted and was comfortable from 7 am until I took it out at 9pm, and my makeup held up fine with no real touch ups needed. Bonnie came at 5:45 am to the hotel and was cheerful and ready to go. She was on time (early!) to both sessions and really efficient. During the pre-session, she really knew her stuff and was happy to work with me to figure out the look I wanted. Cant say enough about my wonderful stylist Angela from Salon Maison. She is so sweet and nice and talented. Cindy the office manager was great too and handled my contract and all my emails and calls and changes and was so kind and patient with me. My bridesmaids kept adding services which drove me crazy but Cindy in the office was so calm and sweet and always left me with a smile. I was referred by 2 other friends that used Salon Maison in the past and now I know why they sing their praises. My sister is using them for her wedding next year too and I am so excited to see them again. I got married last weekend in Leavenworth. It was the winter wedding I had always dreamed of! I booked Salon Maison for my destination wedding and I could not have been happier. Despite the weather they arrived on time and finished early. My hair and makeup was simply flawless. I went with a soft loose updo and natural makeup. One of my bridesmaids was 40 minutes late arriving and Salon Maison STILL got us all done ahead of schedule. I loved that they sent a confirmation the day before. I LOVE Salon Maison!!!!! The staff is so welcoming and accomodating, and I felt extremely well taken care of while I was there. They feature local champagne and wines, which adds a very classy feel to the whole experience. Madie was FANTASTIC and so relaxed! I decided to not do a trial run and was a little nervous about communicating what I wanted the day of my wedding but she was truly amazing. She really took the time to listen to what I wanted and she had incredible style herself. My hair and makeup was beyond perfect! She nailed the "natural but flawless" look! I loved Salon Maison. My hair and make-up was perfect. I asked for soft loose romantic curls and that is exactly what I got. It lasted all night and even until the morning after sleeping on it. My bridesmaids looked gorgeous as well. I love their policy that everything, even deposits, are 100% refundable up to 90 days prior to the wedding date. And they were actually done with everyone a bit early, which according to my photographer never happens with other local hair and makeup teams! My wedding day unknowingly aligned with a demonstration march through downtown Seattle. Our hotel was right in the thick of it and all the roads around it were closed down by police. However, Olivia miraculously made it right on time and even told me she had to run through the marchers with her makeup suitcase in order to get to our hotel!!! I booked Olivia to do my own bridal makeup along with makeup for my sister and mother. She took her time to make sure that we all loved our looks, while still being very efficient. Having not done a makeup trial with her first (I live out of state), I'm so impressed that Olivia totally NAILED the look I had envisioned, based on some examples I'd pulled from Pinterest and sent her the week before. She did not see my emails and feels it likely got lost amongst the many emails that flood her inbox. She was apologetic and immediately sent me my updated contract after the call. My experience was similar to the 1 star reviews below. Short version: Took my deposit then stopped communicating altogether for the past 4 months. Details: Had to reschedule my wedding to a new date due to COVID-19. I had already paid the deposit. Brooke was initially responsive and understanding, our communication was smooth. She confirmed that my deposit was non-refundable but that she could re-book me with a new deposit for my future date which she confirmed they would be able to do. I agreed and she said she would send me a new contract. I never got a contract. She stopped responding thereafter. No response to my three follow up emails or my two phone calls to her business in the subsequent four months. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt -- busy with all the wedding date changes, , financially difficulties in light of COVID-19 -- maybe they had closed altogether! .... but then I saw that someone posted to their instagram account 5 days ago. Clearly she is not interested in working with me anymore. Would have been nice to get some communication back that they could not or would not be able to accommodate my wedding.

I love how my whole look came together. I wanted to have my hair up and out of the way but still show off my curls. I also wanted to make my eyes look big. She knew exactly what I was going for and delivered. Like many brides, I was sweating every little detail and wanted all of it to be perfect. Brooke was patient and kind the whole way through. She happily redid my braid and tweaked my eye makeup whenever I asked and didn't show a single sign of going nuts over my micromanaging :) She is AWESOME. My mom was super nervous and Brooke arranged a trial for her the same day as me and made sure we both had the same makeup and hair artist for the big day. Having that support made the whole day a lot less stressful. The biggest reason why I chose Brooke is because she didn't give me that "conveyor belt bride" feeling I got with all the other large onsite hair and makeup companies I was considering. I developed a rapport with her over weddingwire and phone calls and she immediately earned my trust. Everyone looked amazing. Thank you Brooke!

The main entrance to the salon is from the back alley, but there's also a door on 3rd st. You can message Courtney to let you in if you're confused. The salon decor is really cute! Courtney has decades of experience and I would 100% recommend her and trust her with my hair.
