She really understood what I wanted and the vibe I was going for. She's easy to talk to and it's like hanging out with a friend who happens to have a very special skill. Krystal cut my hair and gave me a balayage. It's perfect! I've gotten so many compliments and, more importantly, I feel confident. Even before I talk about the color I want to lift up that a) they use tech really well (I'm on Zoom calls from one end of the day to the other so picking up the phone and calling someone is super difficult for me most days). They responded to my inquiry through Yelp immediately, forwarded my request on to their stylists, and I had an appointment set up within a half hour max. Ended up with Stephanie and she was wonderful! While she was putting the color in I noticed she didn't apply any protective gel or vaseline ahead of time to protect my skin from the dye. I just figured, "Well, I'm not going to see anyone today, if I'm walking around with a dye headband, it's fine." Well, she didn't NEED to put anything on my skin to protect it because she's that good at what she does! The color came out great -- very natural and healthy looking, and really shiny. And not one drop of dye anywhere except for on the roots where it belonged. On top of all this, Stephanie was super nice, as was everyone who worked there. Loved the ambience, too -- the music was sort of 70s classic rock as was the decor. I'm hoping to be out in this area again in the coming year, and definitely plan to go back to them! She took her time to really listen and understand exactly what I was looking for, offered wonderful advice, and delivered results that exceeded my expectations. My hair color looks amazing -- natural, vibrant, and perfectly blended. The salon itself feels like a relaxing spa getaway -- welcoming, calm, and luxurious. I'm relatively low maintenance but do like to have some grey coverage and found her specifically within this cute salon because she is low chemical, organic processing. I love my color and cut, she is friendly, easy to talk to, good at what she does and gives off an overall warm friendly vibe. The price for the perm on my appointment stated it would be about $125+. Considering I had mid-length hair I expected to pay that price but was a little surprised when the stylist said it would be about $300 because of my very thick hair. $300 is understandable if my hair turned out amazing but sadly it did not lol. For the first few days, my hair looked okay. After the second wash, it was no longer a curly perm rather staightish/wavy hair. I'm quite disappointed because I paid so much money for something I did not want. The whole perm process was quite painful. I felt my hair being pulled through the whole rolling process. She also had another appointment after me, so she was rushing the whole time, and spilling perm solution all over my neck and back Also, they did not warn me that my jewelry will be affected by the perm solution. When I got home, my silver necklace and earrings turned black. I also wanted to note that I followed the instructions on how to care for my hair but unfortunately, my "curly" hair did not last long lol.
