I went to go see Eason, and he was very accommodating to squeeze me in last minute, because I was attending a wedding on the weekend. Eason had his assistant Steve helping throughout the process. I appreciated them doing a strength test on my hair to see how it would respond to the color treating process, especially because I have had my hair colored pretty extensively in the past. Eason took the time to explain the process to me, so I understood what he was doing and that I was comfortable with everything, which I appreciated. My hair color was more of an ash blonde color, and I absolutely loved it. Felt like a brand new woman! I was more than happy to stay the 8 hours that it took to get my hair colored. This is my first I got the right gray hair color that I wished for. The color is so stunning. His skill is excellent! He is very professional. I am very happy with the our come. Consulted, hair washed, hair cut and hair styled within 45 minutes. They do not play around. I had two people blow drying my hair at one point. Again, I feel like they are focused on efficiency, so I did not receive the small talk and conversing like I would at smaller salons, but I appreciated that on a busy errand day. read more

I needed a haircut before Thanksgiving and I reached out to Salon Per Se and they were able to take me the following day! I was looking for a affordable and modern salon in my area and I think I found it. First off, ample free parking with a boba/dessert shop next door, amazing. When I went inside the salon, I had to wait about 10 minutes or so before someone was free, but there were snacks and drinks and comfy seating, so definitely not bad. I asked for a mid-length cut with long layers and they were able to cut my hair the way I asked for it. They wash your hair, blow dry, and use really great smelling oribe products. It took a little under two hours for a complete sitting, which came out to $80 plus tip. The service is great, the salon is beautiful, and the overall experience is really nice. I went to Salon per Se yesterday because i need help with my hair. Long is the one did my hair yesterday. She is perfect! She is very thoughtful and very detailed oriented. She makes sure that you leave with satisfied. I asked for a more brighter color than what I have before. However, Long takes her times to explain my hair condition, which i already know that my hair is a difficult case since I went somewhere overseas, and they messed my hair up. She showed me where the uneven spot after bleached my hair. She said that the only color that can help cover it up is Brown, which I am okay with that. However, she kept reassuring me that it will look good, which makes me feel better. Her assistant yesterday was also very gentle and also explained every step before she started on my hair. Lastly, Long is very clear about the pricing before she starts the service. She explained each service with price, and recommended you which services are best for your hair. Long also offer to lower the price down if the customer is not comfortable with the original price. Just let her know, so she can works something out to match with your budget. Alex was awesome! I got a haircut and he was very knowledgeable about the condition and density of my hair, the direction of hair growth, and what I needed to do to maintain and style my hair. The salon itself is also b e a u t i f u l. You can see from the details in the aesthetics and the staff's dress code that the owner really cares about his work! Alex also analyzed my bleached & dyed hair and gave recommendations on what he could do if I wanted to go lighter. I'll definitely be going to Alex for my next hair-coloring appointment! My boyfriend also got a very low maintenance haircut bc he doesn't do anything to his hair. And it looks good without any type of styling/products! Also, the COVID protocols made me feel very safe! Before entering, there's a temperature check, sanitizing station, and a form you have to fill out (for contact tracing I'm assuming?). I had the pleasure of having Alex color my hair and it turned out beautiful! I've been to several salons in Houston and am usually left disappointed with the quality or customer service but Salon Per Se checked all the right boxes. I have white blonde hair which can be difficult to pull off well on asian hair because of potential yellow patching and banding but my hair came out so nicely and evenly even though my roots were grown out more than usual. The staff was very kind and accommodating upon entrance, welcoming me at the door, wearing masks, and checking temperatures, which I appreciate. They offered very nice refreshments and an iPad for entertainment while getting your hair done. They also made me comfortable while I waited for my hair to process with a blanket as I took a little nap lol. The salon itself is also very cute and aesthetic. The premises is clean and I really like that they keep YOU clean as well. I've been to too many salons that are sloppy and came home with too many tops ruined from bleach. Just very high quality service overall! The price might seem high to some people but it's actually very reasonable for the service and quality you get. This is my 2nd time here and I've now found my go-to hair cut place! I called on a Saturday afternoon for a quick hair trim and they were able to get me in 30 minutes after our phone call! I loved that. NOV 2021: I requested Alex because my friend referred me to him. I asked for a trim and curtain bangs and he was able to give me the cut I wanted. -- I also got their hydrating hair treatment and I highly recommend it for those with dry hair or who previously bleached their hair. JUNE 2022: Over half a year later I came back for another trim and Jackson was the one that did my cut. I didn't feel much hesitation trying out a new person because Jackson was able to grasp what I wanted quickly and gave me suggestions of what he thought was best. He was also so nice to give me the price the receptionist initially told me a haircut was; even though it was supposed to be more because my hair length is over my shoulders. Overall, I will definitely be back for Alex or Jackson! I'm currently in my "healthy hair phase" and keeping it my natural color. I contacted the salon through IG and received a quick response. I was able to easily book a consultation through chat. During consultation, the stylist, Hardy, was knowledgeable and clearly communicated the process they use to balayage. At my appointment, a beautiful silky robe was put on me under the cape, which I thought was a nice touch compared to the traditional cape. I was offered a drink, snack, and chocolate. Service during the entire appointment was amazing. Hardy was quick at work cutting and foiling my hair. The end result was beautiful but not what I originally requested via the IG photo chat and was not at all discussed during the appointment. Ultimately, I did not get what I wanted and that's disappointing considering the price. I would highly recommend salon per se and will likely return to Hardy but I'd recommend clear communication on expectations. Through the process there were several high quality photos and videos taken which I thought was nice. Hardy accommodated my concerns and offered free toner to correct the color. read more
