This was a childhood neighborhood staple for me. And as an adult, I love this bakery. My family always gets their loaf of bread for the holidays. I also believe they have the best RI pizza slices in the area! Not to mention their Calazones and baked good are delicious. I've been here so many times, and each time I'm reminded why I keep coming back.

Great selection and even better prices! Staff was very kind. If you ask for recommendations and you wont be let down. I got a Sausage and Cheese calzone fresh out of the oven and it was divine. That, a huge loaf of fresh bread and a drink were $10 all together- what a deal!! Will definitely be returning to Sal's Bakery soon :)

Small cozy little bakery. The calzones are great. They always have a great selection and they don't skimp. Fast in and out for lunch.

This Italian bakery is old school and, in my opinion, the best in RI. The rye, pumpernickel and wheat breads are out of this world!

You cannot beat their party pizza. I buy it for large gatherings. Red, white, spinach, potato. Great finger food.

Love the vibe here. I've been to Europe a few times and this has an exact feel as a patisserie in…read moreEurope. However, prices are not even close. I ordered an apple tart and a small piece was $7.50! Yes, it was good, and the cream was wonderful, but paying about $2 per bite is outrageous. The value of their drinks might be a little better. I ordered a Cortado and it was delicious. The volume of liquid wasn't too low. $4.25 I would give it 3 stars, but I know not everyone is good with money and many are willing to pay these prices on the east side Providence. The staff was nice, but nothing over the top.

First, the young woman who took care of us seemed to keep 'checking out', as in, she seemed to temporarily fall asleep with her eyes open. She would become non-responsive and we'd just wait for her to acknowledge us and then repeat what we said. So that's weird. Even after she said 'OK' and went over to the register to ring it all in, we had to repeat the order, again. The Americano coffee was not made correctly. It literally tasted like dirty water. Definitely did not use the appropriate amount of espresso in this drink. The Mocha was not blended correctly and was grainy with a lot of sediment at the bottom of the cup. I was unable to finish drinking that. The friends we met up with mentioned they are surprised how many tables were open on a Saturday. In the past there was 'always a line' of people ordering and waiting for a table. During our visit there were several empty tables. The pastry were very tasty though, so that was nice. They do have a nice selection of pastry available and we might try some more of those offerings another time. The ambiance is very cute. Bus your own tables. On street parking.

They…read moreshould be airy, light, crunchy, flaky, buttery...but often they are doughy or insubstantial or greasy or too soft. Butterbang's are actually perfect. The best I have ever had! That's saying a lot because I have sampled many, many croissants. The Yum roll was melt-in-your- mouth delicious with the perfect balance of sweet with a hint of salt, crunchy around the edges and topped with a delightful creamy drizzle of caramel. The plain croissants were perfectly fluffy and flaky. The almond square was pure heaven with a deep almond flavored frangipane surrounded by crunchy layers. The bakery itself is really cute. You can get a chance to meet the owner and gaze upon the glorious bounty of pastries available. You do have to subscribe to order so check out the Butterbang instagram.

It's a small pop-up style bakery with a cozy feel, perfect for grabbing pastries and a good coffee to start your morning or treat yourself mid-day. Everything I've tried has been delicious, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the baking. It does get busy and certain items sell out, so going earlier is definitely a plus. Overall, a fantastic spot in Pawtucket for anyone who loves pastries, I'd happily recommend Butterbang to friends and visitors.
