Clean, good food and fast service. We stopped at this location for the first time as we usually go to the Plano location.

This place is great! They have delicious food at very reasonable prices & happy hour almost everyday! Everyone is friendly and happy to serve you. The chips, come to your table right away w/3 dipping sauces: red & green salsa & a black bean puree. They offer a few different styles of queso too & we ordered the white one. It was thick, creamy & delicious. We also ordered a few appetizers: 1 ceviche tostada & an order of chicken stuffed jalapeños that were huge and came with 5 and 2 dipping sauces...1 looked to be the yellow queso & the other may have been ranch... both were very tasty. My husband & I then split the bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp over cheesy rice and grilled vegetables as an entree. That was absolutely fantastic! I did not have an issue with the establishment until I found a fly in my skinny margarita drink. The service went downhill from there. The manager was too busy flirting with another table that he could not me trying to get his attention. When he finally came over, he seemed annoyed. He initially offer to fix me another drink which I kindly refused and when my friend talked about the service, he begrudgingly offered to comp the meal. I wasn't annoyed about the fly, things like that happen, but I was very annoyed about the service. read more

Hidden Gem!! Amazing food very flavorful and affordable too! We loved every item we ordered. Moving here from San Antonio let me say this is now our go to for lunch and dinners when we want Tex-Mex and margaritas!! Food is amazing. I love the salsa and bean dip that comes out. Queso blanco is always a hit.

Salmon salad was big and wife loved it, fajita chicken quesadilla were very good and son loved them but we asked for no sour cream and of course comes out with sour cream on it which he hates Waitress apologized but didn't offer to fix it. Bryan's tacos were good but when I asked for Pico which should be a staple Mexican food of any kind they charged me an extra couple dollars Hold off on all the green onion and tomato on the side and give me some pico with my tacos. 19.99 for 3 tacos is already steep. Come on Salsa you are better than this. Place was packed service was good as always. Just shocked to be up charged for pico and 12 dollars for a ranch water which was not even anything special. Awesome food, service and ambiance, they have happy hour Sunday to Thursday and for sone hours on Friday. Margaritas are good and we loved it as a family..!!! We have been going to their restaurant in Anna and always enjoyed it. Thought we would try this location since it's closer to home. Very much like the Anna location. Very clean, great service and good food. My wife had the lunch carne Assad and it was excellent. Too much for her to eat so I got to finish it off. I'll probably get that for myself next time. I have gone to Salsa's at least 5 times in the last 2 months and taken different people as guest. I will not return after my last visit. My friend and I ordered each a flight of margaritas. We saw the advertising on the door as we entered and it showed the flight for 7.99 ( happy hour). I had it a couple of weeks before. We were there at 5pm and Happy hour was to 6pm. When we got our bill each flight was $18. When we asked the "manager" she said the flight was not a part of Happy hour even though the flight is the only drink picture on happy hour advertisment for 7.99. I'm basing this review on service alone! I wish I had kept my receipt, so I had our servers name, but she was beyond outstanding! We were a party of at least 20, and she was so organized it was impressive. This was my first time there, and I got basic fajita nachos, and they were good. Came in late around 8:30 for quick bite and to try it .. disappointed as server didn't speak English well and had no idea what we were asking for .. asked for spicy and a grilled Jalapeno but even that was too hard to understand. Left disappointed and food was mediocre. read more

We have enjoyed the food at the Plano location for a decade and the Allen location is just as good. We were there about a week ago and had great service. It has a nice ambiance and when the weather gets cooler it will be nice to have dinner on the patio. read more

Have been to the salsa in Frisco and Plano. My husband and I happen to be in the neighborhood so decided to eat at the Allen location today. I ordered the chicken nachos which came out lukewarm at best. Nothing like the fantastic nachos at their Frisco location. My husband ordered the fajita omelet with the onions well done. We were so glad to find that Salsa opened in Allen, so much closer than the Plano location for us. We have been to this location twice. The service and food, however is a bit disappointing. The Plano location always has the best service, no matter where you sit in the large restaurant, and always top-notch food and drinks. Maybe the Plano location could send some of their employees over for some training. We saw someone who maybe was the manager but he never came around to check on things. read more

Where do I begin?! Pork Quesadillas, easy right, nothing fancy plain & simple food, wrong answer. Took 45 minutes to get this simple food. It should have been called pork jerky on old tortilla round! My wife tried eating it, and had to go around the big strips of tough pork, I should have left, but by this time it was a challenge, me against it! My wife left. I asked for the check The manager brought it & asked those magic words that normally would bring a happy response, not this time. I spoke honestly with respect & and asked if the pork had been killed last thanksgiving. Without changing my expression I advised her they needed to remove that dish from the menu. Very sad to say I must change my previous review. I have been back to this restaurant several more times and have been disappointed each time. I usually order Enchiladas and the last 2 times they have been brought to the table barely warm, have to send them back and wait again. Hate to do it, but this location does not deserve 5 stars. The service from the unfriendly hostess to the waiters is bad. The only way you can ask for anything is by asking a friendly bus boy. This is not from one visit, but many. The food takes a long time, even when not busy. Waiter never comes back, just not good business here. I loved this place in Plano and Frisco and I'm thrilled trust it has come to Allen! Their black bean dip made it a favorite for my girls. I'm originally from Cali and usually prefer true authentic street taco taquerias, like you find here in Texas in gas stations. Although this is Tex Mex it is really delicious and great quality. I love Lupe's but wayyyy too expensive and Uncle Julio's, unless you want to just go to drink is nothing to give a review about. I highly recommend the Fajitachanga. Chimichanga with fajita steak is bomb with their spicy queso. Just learned today that they had spicy queso thanks to the awesome service we had from Martin who was our outstanding server!! read more

we have a group of about 8 who dine out together regularly. we used to go to another restaurant in Allen until we discovered Salsa! The place that used to be there was terrible, but Salsa is terrific. Our waiter, last time, was not good, but the food is consistently delicious. We go at least twice a month and have yet to have a bad meal. The chicken enchiladas and quesabirria tacos are winners! The warm black bean dip is the bomb. read more

I live in Allen. My wife and I love the salsa Tex Mex in Anna. We decided to try the Allen location for a late lunch early dinner. We were seated promptly by the hostess. There were only three other couples in the place. Waiter came quickly and took our drink order. He returned a few minutes later with our drinks. No chips no salsa. We sat and waited about five minutes. No chips no salsa. He came back and asked if we were ready to order. I asked about chips and salsa he got flustered. I told him to forget it and we would go to Anna instead. On the way out I told the hostess and the group of four servers she was visiting with at the bar that we would not be back and compared to the Anna location this place was horrible. Her response "Thank you to you and a big smile. I've never posted on yelp before but this is the worst customer service I've ever had. Drive to the Anna location.
