My family loves salsa! It's a great place to take family and friends when they come into town. It can get pretty busy, but we have never had to wait. Service just (understandably) slows down a bit. There are plenty of options, and every time we go we have been able to try something new. There hasn't been a dish we haven't loved! Portions are generous and the food is delicious. read more

This well known secret is a gem! We not only had great service that was fast and efficient, but the fact that you get chips and salsa for free!!! Amazing. I had their chicken fajitas and wish I had leftovers; they were delicious. If you are ever in Anna, this place is a must. read more

Just got enchiladas to go here and the chicken wasn't fully cooked, couldn't even eat it. I've got the same dish several times before and never had that issue so hopefully just a fluke! But definitely disappointing. Edit to add: when I called and told them, no refund or credit was offered. So I paid for a meal i threw in the trash. Just bad customer service! read more

We went to check out another New Mexican restaurant in our area, with no high hopes of it being more than mediocre. They hit it out of the park; Service by Josue was exceptional, Presentation of the food was unlike any others around here, exceptional, everything about the food was amazing and they have a lovely little patio! I haven't even left yet and already needed to leave a review. We eat out a LOT and have pretty high standards and every single thing we ordered was DELICIOUS! White queso, chicken fajitas, brisket quesadillas, ribeye steak and shrimp (can't remember what it was called), and chicken quesadillas (that doesn't include the jalapeño margaritas (hello!! We have been there twice in three days, once for dinner and once for lunch. At dinner I ordered the "tacos al carbon" and my wife had the cieveche. Both were outstanding. The quality of the beef in the tacos (actually several strips of carne asada or fajita meat rolled up in a flour tortilla) was superb. There was no gristle and the meat was tender and well seasoned. It came with borracho beans and rice. The beans were especially good. My wife has had cieveche in many places and this sent her to heaven! The chef us from Guatemala so he sure knows Katin food. For our lunch my wife had the cieveche again (again superb) and I had the carne asada which looked like a thin cut piece of rib eye. Delicious! You must try this place. Hands down, it is the best of the best for Mexican fare. The prices are reasonable when you consider the service and the quality of the food. read more

We were driving through Anna and decided to stop here for an early dinner. We were seated right away & chips and salsa were brought to our table pretty quickly the salsas were great & my kids fought over the black bean dip they loved it soo much, but the service lacked. There were a bunch of workers and it took a while to even get our drink order, our waitress wasn't very friendly and seemed almost annoyed with us when we went to give our order. The food was delicious though! I ordered a platter that came with chicken flautas, chicken quesadillas, stuffed jalapeño poppers and steak fajita nachos. The only complaint I had with my food was the steak on my nachos was cold but everything else was delicious! My husband had the sour cream enchiladas and loved them as well. It was a nice little restaurant great for date nights or a birthday get together. I'd come back, I just hope the service is a little better next time. read more

This place is really good. I was kind of thrown off by the chili con Carne on the cheese enchiladas but omg its delicious. Kids bean and cheese burritos are the side of a taquito so if your kiddo eats a lot I wouldn't recommend them. Overall yummy though. read more

Our family really enjoys this place. I'm so glad Anna offers more Tex-Mex options! We have done both the curbside pick up and dine in. It can get a little busy on a Sunday afternoon, but we didn't mind the wait. Some of our favorites...the grilled salmon salad, shrimp salad, chimichanga, and our kids like the enchiladas and quesadillas. Tried calling to order take out. Called twice and a man answered that said "can you please hold." Said yes.... Waited 7 minutes on the phone and no answer. Called TEN times after that with minutes in between and it didn't even ring. Then hubby tried calling s couple of times and it would ring but no answer. So the first time we came here, it was awesome. Food on point, good service... everything. Today, not so much. The hostess actually had to take our drink order after 5 or so minutes of waiting. Then it took our waitress another 10 to take our food order. She seemed a bit off her game, returning to the table a couple of times to reconfirm parts of the order. Then we waited another 17 to 20 minutes for the order to come out, and when it did, it was lukewarm. One of our orders an egg dish, was ordered over medium, arrived undercooked, even for over easy, and not hot... so we had to send it back. The kitchen nailed it the second time. The chips and salsa was just as good as the first time. As was the quesadilla our daughter got. The beef in my hubby's meal was overcooked and dry, with a burnt taste to it. But the veggies on it, and the rice next to it were all done well. We will try this place again to see if today was just an off day, best 2 out of 3??? read more

Went to Salsa Tex Mex tonight for the first time. Hubby had the chili rellano with fajita beef and I had enchiladas supremas topped with the steak fajita. That sour cream sauce: wow! The chili rellano was grilled, a nice change from the usual fried. Everything was hot and delicious. Took a bit to get our food because they were busy, but they kept our chips, 3 dips (black bean, green tomatillo, and salsa), and drinks flowing while we waited. Service was outstanding, very attentive. They also had tables nicely distanced, had disposable paper menus and plastic utensils in individual bags along with the napkins, salt and pepper. I absolutely love love loveeeeee coming here everytime I visit Dallas. It's the best deifinition of authentic tex-mex food. The chicken, the beef fajita, the ribs, the guacamole, the rice are so good every single time I come. I'm mostly in love with the dessert. The churros, the tres leches, and flan are so amazing!!! It's so sweet, soft, and tasteful (especially with the caramel/chocolate drizzle) The staff are so nice and patient. The owner of the restaurant is the sweetest person ever and he is so patient with customers, I felt like I could express and talk to him about anything over the food and place. Overall, I have never had a bad experience here and I recommend everyone to go try it out! read more

I have enjoyed this restaurant since it opened and was excited to have a new place to eat. Tonight I placed a takeout order. They told me they were no longer providing curbside and I would have to pick up in the bar. I arrived and found the restaurant was packed. The bar had seated diners as well. A number of people were waiting to pickup. There was no where to wait and people were forced to be clustered around the small area at the bar. They also were not requiring masks for pickups so you couldn't social distance or separate yourself. I waited to be helped for 10-15 minutes. They couldn't find my order. They then finally figured out they wrote the order name down wrong. I continued to wait and about 15 minutes later they ask me again. I repeat they had the wrong name. Now they dig through bags of food waiting for pickup and locate the order ( it has now been sitting there at least 30 minutes). I tell the bar tender the food is now cold and he states "you can feel it if you want". I try to explain that I either have to take it cold or wait another 45 minutes for a new order. I give up and leave. I stop and tell the hostess the issues and she calls over a manager- manger replies " I'll talk to them". And seems entirely unconcerned. Get home and not only is it cold it is subpar at best. Husband calls to talk to manager who tells him I never said anything about the food being cold and he has to bring the food back to the restaurant if he wants anything done about the poor order and issues. I haven't had such poor customer service in a very long time. What restaurant manager essentially calls a customer a liar and has no concern about customer service. ??? Update- gathered up order we had tossed since they insisted we return it. The manager was rude beyond belief. Again suggesting I lied and arguing ultimately saying fine don't come back. She actually complained part of the food was missing. Are you kidding me. Yes we did attempt to eat and enjoy the meal which proved impossible. I've never seen anything like it but we will never go back. read more
