Quick stop for a burrito type lunch. The place was very clean and crew members were actively cleaning throughout the visit. I had a bowl. Pretty typical of other like places with fresh ingredients. The chips are amazing. Light, crispy and salty. It's as good as the other chains but less chain like and maybe a bit less expensive.

The food here is fresh and they don't skimp. There's a choice of over 8 sauces and lots of toppings. Service is friendly. Cholula is offered. Seating is private. It's a healthy and clean option.

Kids steak quesadilla - comes with drink and cookie. Good value at $6. Taste was ok.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Place was clean. Good value kids meal at $6, which comes with a small drink and a cookie. The quesadilla and chips were ok, cookie was too sugary, and drink was fine. I do want to return for the queso and salsa!

Welp i guess it's NOT safe to say,....... today was just a s***y day huh for the cook ?!

    This thing is awesome.

If Taco Bell had a walk through buffet, it would be better. Chips are ok, rice kinda stale. I'm giving this a 3 star because that little cinnamon thing was off the hook!

Probably my favorite Tex-mex style taco places to go to! The 2 taco combo isn't a bad price for lunch either. 2 tacos, chips and salsa, and a drink for less than $9. Be aware their salsa is hot!!!! I love hot stuff but even their medium salsa scorches me. Go for the mild, it is just as flavorful! They also have a rewards card

Since we were in the Columbia area, we had to come back! The service here is top-notch, and ALL high end restaurants should take note. Servers and managers are always standing around in the hallway practically waiting to help you, are there to start conversation and make you enjoy your experience. Our waitress constantly came around to check on us. Great work! In Charleston, we got the prime rib and loved it. So, as a result, we got the prime rib again AND loved it again! It was just like how we remembered it; tender and great flavor. Their sides come in large portions (shareable). They do have great mac-and-cheese. It kind of gives us like a Spanish vibe, probably because it consists of a certain spice or Jalapeños (my guess), but that does not make it spicy! All it does is adds complexity to the flavor. For dessert, we shared the cookie skillet. It comes with ice cream on top with chocolate syrup and caramel on the side. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside.. that's how we like it!! I highly recommend you give Halls Chophouse a try. You will not be disappointed!

The problem with the coffee was the cream. It should probably be served around room temperature. Because the creamer was so cold several of our party had to ask for frequent warm-ups. Our server, Kristen, was very personable, pleasant and accommodating. A couple of us ordered Bellini's and mimosas. My Bellini was just OK. My standards are high, since I've had them in Venice, Italy. The Hall's Bellini was not very tasty and on the watery side. My wife tried to order the sweet potato pancakes, but they were out. So she was disappointed, and ended up with the lavender scented brioche French toast. She thought it was OK but was seeking a stronger flavor. I ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy. I don't order this very often, but there was a good portion of sausage and the flavor of the sausage was enjoyable without being too salty. Our daughter ordered crab cake Eggs Benedict which features a creole sauce. She enjoyed it, but the temperature of the dish could have been hotter. Our niece's daughter had the farmers omelette with the apple sage sausage. The apple-sage sausages were excellent (I got to sample one) and a very good deal. The ambience of Halls is always great. The service is usually quite good and the food is usually excellent. This is our second brunch at Halls and I'll have to say that our first brunch experience was a little bit better for the reasons noted above. I still rate it the best brunch in town.

The only downside about my born day is the close proximity to Valentine's day. Which can sometimes make the planning around the commercialized love day tricky... especially when it comes to restaurant reservations.... Womp womp. Backstreets Grill said they could accommodate a party of 8. They were clearly busy and with our party size we could understand. Nonetheless, we had a very loonnngggg wait, which was frustrating and deflating. We waited 4x the time the young ladies initially told us upon arrival. However, once we were finally seated things started to turn around slightly. I say slightly because we were seated on the enclosed patio, with a portable heater but several people were cold. Just to think they kept asking us and others if we wanted to sit outside. (It's February @ night). Now the food: Some of the dishes were more favorable than others and I must admit all of my personal choices were great. Appetizers: -Mussels - White Wine (My Order) -Fried Oysters (I tried) -Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna -Lump Crab Dip (I tried) -Tomato Parmesan Soup (My Order) -Side House & Caesar Salads (I tried) I personally had the Mussels, which were perfect, and the tomato parmesan soup and both made you want to lick the bowl. The broths were so good. I tried the fried oysters, they were also very good, but the presentation was a little messy. The Lump Crab Dip and the Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna completely fell short and were not memorable at all and both of the side salads were sad. Entrées: -Cajun Chicken Pasta w/ Blackened Shrimp (My order) -Buffalo Chicken Pizza (I tried) -House-made Meatloaf w/ mashed potatoes & vegetables -Pork-chop w/ mashed potatoes & green beans -Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadilla w/ Fries -Ribeye w/ Truffle Parmesan Fries My sister and I both ordered the Cajun Chicken pasta, I added the blackened shrimp to my order, we were both extremely happy. The dish was not spicy but it was well balanced. The recipients of the Meatloaf, Buffalo Chicken Pizza and the Quesadilla were all also pleased with their dishes. The folks that ordered the ribeye and the two pork-chops were not impressed... the dishes were just ok. Our server Adrian, was pleasant, but you can tell he was very overwhelmed which sometimes didn't translate well. As the night went on we understood he was being pulled in multiple directions at once and he did good despite of it. Overall I enjoyed my celebration and experience @ Backstreets Grill. Just A Note: I notice that they can get busy so be ready to wait. Even smaller parties were forced to stretch their patience.

Bison, elk, boar, rabbit. These are proteins you don't see on most menus. The restaurant leans into a woodland theme with greenery hanging throughout the space. It borders on a bit much, but the open kitchen visible from the dining room grounds the whole experience and adds a nice touch of theater. The seating was comfortable and well spaced, perfect for a family dinner where you actually want to hear each other talk. Our server was outstanding, easily 5 out of 5. She knew the menu cold, offered thoughtful recommendations, and struck that ideal balance of attentive without being intrusive. She made the evening better. The drinks were mostly a win. Two cocktails were excellent, creative and well balanced. A third was over iced and fell flat. Minor miss, but worth noting. The food is where The Hollow really shines. The charcuterie board was a fantastic start, featuring a well curated spread of wild game meats, quality cheeses, fig, and mustard. The mains delivered across the board: salmon, elk, and bison all came out beautifully with great flavor and generous portions. The sides deserved their own applause, which isn't something I say often. The dessert menu was the one soft spot. Nothing grabbed our attention, so we ended up heading across the street to Kaminsky's for something sweet. For a kitchen that puts this much care into everything else, the dessert offerings felt like an afterthought. A couple of notes on the bill to be aware of: we were charged a few dollars for swapping a vegetable side. There was a 3% credit card surcharge that caught us off guard. When you're out with the family and the tab runs into the hundreds $, most folks are paying with a card. That's a fee I'd want to know about upfront. On the menu, from the server, somewhere visible before the check arrives. The bottom line: The Hollow is a creative, well executed restaurant with standout food and excellent service. If you're in Columbia, it's well worth a reservation.

We just left Bone Appetit after celebrating our daughter's birthday and our 21st wedding anniversary, and unfortunately the experience did not match the occasion. There were definitely some positives. The first set of wings, the eggrolls, the salmon, and the lava cake were all enjoyable. Unfortunately, the rest of the evening became increasingly disappointing. The crab dip was advertised as sizzling hot, but both orders arrived only warm. We waited over an hour for our food on what appeared to be a fairly slow evening, and to be clear, we had no problem with the wait itself. We understand quality food can take time. The issue was waiting that long and still receiving food that was cold. The steaks were not cooked to the requested temperatures and were also cold when served. The tomahawk steak especially was disappointing because it had a noticeably gamey flavor around the bone. I'm not sure whether it was the seasoning or rub used, but the flavor was off-putting. The cheesy potatoes were the only item that actually arrived hot. The Brussels sprouts were mostly dry leaves with barely any actual sprouts. Another issue was the inconsistency from plate to plate. The second and third orders of wings were noticeably different from the first batch. We chose not to send food back because we understand food waste, kitchen pressure, and the challenges restaurants face. We simply wanted to enjoy the evening and make the best of it. Still, after such a long wait, leaving unsatisfied was disappointing. What stood out most was that the owner was nearby, aware that concerns had been brought up, yet never came over to check on the table personally. This review is not about seeking compensation or attacking a local business. It is simply honest feedback from customers who truly wanted to enjoy and support a local restaurant during an important family celebration.

Our server was initially polite and seemed attentive. However, it quickly became apparent that one server was assigned to manage our entire party without additional support. For a group of this size, that decision ultimately impacted the entire dining experience. It took approximately one hour for drinks to arrive and an hour and a half for appetizers to begin coming out. By that time, most of the party had already arrived. Despite notifying the server twice, I never received my appetizer, even though everyone else at the table had been served. I was told he was "speaking with the manager" about it, but the issue was never resolved. Entrée orders were not taken until nearly two hours into the event. When the food arrived, several guests who ordered medium steaks were served steaks that were clearly rare. When this was addressed, the server insisted the steaks were cooked properly and stated that visible blood was correct for medium doneness. There was no immediate offer to have the steaks remade, which led to unnecessary tension at the table. Additionally, drink refills were not offered proactively, and appetizer plates were not cleared until a patron specifically requested it -- and that occurred after entrées had already been served. Basic service flow was noticeably absent throughout the evening. When we requested to speak with a manager, the server stated he could not retrieve one because he was assisting other guests. I ultimately had to personally locate the manager on duty. The manager did listen and offered to comp my meal, which I declined after we had already been seated for nearly three hours. As a local food reviewer, I understand the challenges of the service industry, especially with large parties. However, staffing a group of 32 with only one server is a management decision that directly impacts service quality. This experience felt less like an isolated mistake and more like a preventable operational issue. LongHorn has built a reputation for quality food and dependable service. Unfortunately, this visit did not reflect that.
