I have always raved about Salsa's. However, the last two times I have gone, I have had an upset stomach afterwards. My husband was ill as well. I spoke to a few friends, she and her boyfriend had the same issue. Health Department please go inspect Salsa's. Something isn't right! read more

Went back after a long hiatus, May 28th 2015. The service was great. The food arrived quickly (which was a refreshing change of pace over other local restaurants!). Corn tortillas on my chicken tacos were fresh and soft. Only complaint would be that the fiesta guacamole had a sheen to it. Would have given it 5 stars if not for that. read more

Giving this place 1 star is 1 to many! The worst "Mexican" food I have ever had!!! The enchiladas taste just like Chef Boyardee ravioli, so disgusting!!!!! Taco Bell has better tasting food and it's cheaper! Save yourself money & avoid this crap place like the plague! read more

We have eaten at Salsa's several times, and have always enjoyed the food. We went this weekend and it was bad enough for me to write this review. I had my favorite, Quesadilla Mexicano (melted cheese w/ground beef on flour tortilla). I asked for NO sour cream and a side of guacamole. Didn't get what I asked for (waiter had repeated what I said). I don't think there was any cheese on my quesadilla, or, if there was, I certainly couldn't taste it. It was lukewarm and BLAND, absolutely no flavor at all. My husband ordered Texas Fajita's. (beef, chicken, shrimp w/TORTILLAS). It usually comes out on the cast iron plate, sizzling and hot. This time it came out on a regular cold plate with no tortillas. My husband said it tasted like it had been cooked a while ago and just kind of sat there. It was also luke warm. Needless to say it did not hit NEITHER of our stomachs the right way and we barely made it home. We will NEVER, NEVER eat there again. read more

What I enjoy about this place is the consistent and tasty meals. But what is my favorite appeal is the price you pay for the consistency and delicious food. The servers are professional and diligent and have met my needs when I dine in. The bar is hidden in the back and you wouldn't know it was there when you walked into the entrance. No need though cause they will bring you what you want. read more

There is no review necessary for this place. The food is great. Fattening, but great. The service is exemplary. I have been to all of the Mexican restaurants in St. Mary's county and this is the best. It's not even close. I've never had a bad experience. For $5 to $10 you will be completely full and maybe take some home with you. Awesome lunch option, with entrees around $5. Tip: Ask for "Queso Blanco" with your chips. read more

Salsa's in Leonardtown is a very good quality Mexican restaurant. The food has nice portions but is also affordable! The décor is very subtle and finely represents the Mexican culture with abstract pictures and textured wallpaper. The music they play is soft and relaxing instrumentals. The servers are very attentive but not exasperating. They welcome you right when you enter the establishment and seat you immediately. After they bring out your drinks you ordered, they also bring out some slightly salty and very warm chips with some tangy salsa. The best thing about them is that the food comes out very quickly so you are not waiting there hungry for more than ten minutes. I ordered a cheese steak wrapped in a soft tortilla with some lettuce and beans. The cheese on the tortilla and beans was creamy and rich, the steak was tender and juicy, and the lettuce was crispy. I would recommend Salsa's to anyone who enjoys good quality food for a cheap price. read more

A co-worker and I came for lunch a few months ago. I ordered fajita nachos. I had taken a couple bites and thought they were good. I lifted a chip and attached to tnr underside was a long hair sealed on with cheese. I showed it to my waiter who took my plate but didn't offer me anything else to eat or apologize for it. He brought my check when my coworker was done eating and had charged my for just my soda. I go to the register to pay and the manager was standing there. He says " I told him not to charge you for anything. Even though no one in the kitchen has long hair" It was all I could do to bite my tongue. If you take a short hair out of someone's head it's going to look long stuck to a chip and I have long hair so it obviously wasn't mine!! I swore them off at that point. 6 weeks later I had a taste for shrimp & rice. I ordered it to go and brought it back to my office. I took the tip off and fond a quarter size ball of foil sitting right on top. Swearing them off for good!! I'd stay away unless you like the threat if food poinioning. read more
