Good little breakfast spot. They run a steak and eggs special for $15. I got the french toast with western potatoes (diced potatoes with onions & peppers), bacon & eggs. It was filling & flavorful. Not a 5 star restaurant but a good place to grab some breakfast. they are PACKED on the weekends, about a 20min wait for 2 people is the norm. We got immediate seating at the bar. Service was a tiny bit slow @ times but there was always someone running by to try and grab to get a refill. Not the best, but not the worst. It seems to be a frequent spot for alot of older couples, the waiters are very friendly and attentive to them. They know their "usuals" it seems & crack jokes with them. Any place that caters to the elderly the way they do is a great establishment. They also do lottery. If we are near it we will pop in for breakfast but wouldnt go out of our way for the salt & pepper. read more

I live a few blocks down from this restaurant for many years. Finally gave the restaurant a try on a Saturday morning. Came by to have breakfast with my mom on a Saturday morning. I was not disappointed. The breakfast here is excellent. Breakfast steak and eggs was made perfectly. Pancakes were excellent. Also had the corned beef hash and eggs with biscuits and gravy. Food is horrible! Do not waste your time coming here. Food is insanely expensive for the quality, menu is inaccurate compared to online. Lasagna was trash, half cold half hot. Burnt cheese on the bottom of the lasagna, half inedible because of how hard and burnt it was. The appetizer platter was clearly frozen, most random assortment of sides ever. Fried zucchini hard and cold. My boyfriend had the Carne asada plate. It was drier than a bone, tortilla chips thrown on the side with melted shredded cheese, sad excuse for "nachos". Booths are dirty and outdated. Extremely dark inside not even fully working lights over the booths. Too many tvs everywhere. The back door isn't even accessible anymore. I will say however service was ok. The main guy who seems to be the manager was somewhat friendly. He seems to rush you more than anything which was off-putting. My boyfriend had asked him a question before he walked away with the order and he ignored him. But other than that he's quick and asked if we were doing okay and if we needed refills. Tried to eat our food and leave quickly. S&P used to be amazing, haven't been in about 5 or so years. We used to eat there as a family regularly growing up, but I will not be back! read more

My wife and I enjoy coming to Salt & Pepper at least 2-3 times a month. We love the service and the food. Their breakfast is so generous and the hash brown is so very very good. More recently we tried their lunches and they too are so very very good and generous. The fried zucchini is so delicious. The best we have ever had. Again the service is the best. read more

We've been loyal customers for years as my in-laws live right down the street so we like to like to go for football Sundays. Today was a disappointment and it had nothing to do with the food or the staff with the exception of a lady named "Diana". We show up and sit down at a table in the bar area that was open as it's open seating and there are no reservations on football Sundays. Diana proceeds to walk over and instead of greeting us as customers she's upset that we sat down and claimed the table was reserved. We naturally defend ourselves and refer to the policy of no reservations. As she continues to argue with us a fellow employee comes by and said no it's okay to sit there. She gets more upset and said "he's just a buss boy" as his role isn't as critical as hers which is insulting. It's takes everyone to make a restaurant run properly. She continues to argue and insult while using profanity. Said she's not serving us. Luckily for her and us the other employees stepped in and took control of the situation. Big shout-out to Carla for diffusing the situation and taking care of us for the rest of the visit. As for Diana, I hope you find peace as it must be exhausting being so angry. And guess what? This place has one step below average food. But out of convenience I have been several times. The last time I went I noticed that all of the TVs had fake news network CNN. I politely asked if the TV in front of me could be changed to FOX. The response I got was sickening. They said that FOX was not allowed by the owners of this restaurant to be played because of Trump. Apparently this place is all about the Trump hate and mediocre food. If this place concentrated more on the taste of their food and less on politics, maybe it wouldn't be empty most of the time. I am a patriot and I love America. All of the people I have spoken to that have eaten here agree with me. I live 1/4 a mile away and I will never come here again and neither will the people I told this story to. If you hate America, leave. Spontaneous decision to grab a quick breakfast here before I spent my day studying. Service was very friendly and the food was surprisingly tasty. My server suggested to do the "pick five" breakfast special where you pick any five items from the list they provide. It's so much food and only $7.99!! Crazy cheap and very yummy! Kind of weird to think of this place as a "sports bar" but really it is. They've got meals at all hours plus TVs everywhere you look. It's like a Denny's Sports Bar! (only better than Denny's) Pretty big place with friendly and terrific service. I've only been here a couple of times but every time I feel like I've been transported to some cool old Mom and Pop roadside diner in the Midwest while on a family vacation. Portions are huge too and they also have a full bar, even at breakfast! I've only eaten breakfast here and it all has been wonderful... omelets, pancakes, toast - you name it, it's greasy spoon/diner perfection! The only thing that needs improvement is their bacon, it's not so thrilling. I don't care what you come in wanting to eat, I'm gonna bet they have it on their vast and interesting menu!! I've been wanting to try this place for a while now. When we first walked in we were blown away! Definitely not what you think it would look like from the outside. The bar area is very nice!! Now my review is based off what I ordered. I got the wet burrito and I hated it. I took one bite and could tell the red sauce was from a can and it was full of onions. Don't know what I was thinking ordering a burrito from a mom and pop lol should have stuck there fish and chips. The portion sizes are huge though and the rest of the food was good. My kids got chicken strips fries fruit and a grilled cheese. My husband like the burrito. We will be going again and I'll just order something else .. Wow. That's all I have to say. We have lived here for over 3 years in Fullerton and have not heard of this place or been to this place. It's actually a bar. But they are open 24/7. The bar closes at 2am. But let me tell you there coffee is to die for. You have to try this coffee. Like I'm not even kidding this coffee makes me so happy and it is fresh and strong and perfect. As soon as I came in I was met with all the regulars telling me hi and how I'm doing and telling me what the best things on the menu was (which was everything ) and the waiter Sherri omg! She is amazing, outstanding, funny and everything. She was on point, explaining everything to me in detail and making jokes, asking about me and my family and refilling my coffee so fast that I had no time to even know it was empty. Honestly this place is a gem, a place where everything is perfect. It seems unreal. The rest rooms were clean and smelled perfects the restaurant in whole was kept up and clean and fresh. The kitchen staff even came out and said hi. The breakfast special: pick 5 or pick 6: we got the pick 6: and 3 eggs, bacon, sausage, pan cakes and ham. It was delicious, amazing and fresh. We also got the: S&P Classic Burger with chill Wow! It's amazing and fresh and tastes so homemade honestly. Honestly. This will now become my new favorite spot. I now have somewhere to go at nights when I'm hungry and want to talk to someone and chill. Sherri is so amazing and she is off Wednesday and Saturday. But try to come see here when she is working. Their pizza here is THE BEST! Crispy crust, gooey cheese YES! HUGE TV's in the bar area. We like it because it doesn't get too crazy, it's always very mellow, at least when we've been there. We've been passing this restaurant for years now and made a point of driving out of our way to try it out. On our way in from the parking lot, we were bombarded by the stench from a couple drinking beer and chain smoking in their enclosed patio at 10:30 in the morning. We informed the manager when we walked in, and he claims to have said something to them. What he didn't do was have the confidence and leadership skills to do what needed to be done. In fact, when we left, they were still there, smoking and frankly mocking us. As for the food. It was just alright. I ordered eggs Benedict which was a fail. The eggs were not poached, they were over-cooked and the Hollandaise sauce was thick and goopy. The rest of the food was decent and the service was wonderful. Sometimes I like to just sit back and people watch. I love watching everyone's interactions with each other. You can tell a whole lot about a person by how they treat their servers. But you can also tell a whole lot about a server by how she treats her guests. Vicky was our waitress on this visit. Our last visit was over a year ago and since we're on Spring Break and we were in the neighborhood, we decided to stop in for breakfast. Glad we made that choice because the day before we had a late breakfast at Kimmies Coffee Cup which was $50 too overrated for underwhelming breakfast. Atlast I digressed. But this was breakfast redemption! Thank you Salt & Pepper! The food was tasty and flavorful and Vicky, well...Vicky's the reason why I'm on here typing away. She's the reason for this review. She was so kind and courteous...not only to us but to every table she helped out! She truly was going above and beyond with each of her tables. It's hard to pinpoint it but you could just see that share cared about her guests and that goes a long way! She's also an Angels fan and a wonderful grandma. We know this because she saw us in our Angels hoodies and she mentioned how she couldn't wait to take her grandson to his first Angels game soon. Go on by and give this place a chance. Ok this place isn't mind blowing by any means BUT their pizza is awesome and I am REALLY digging this new taco bar on Tuesdays AND Thursdays. This place has been around for decades and is pretty solid for breakfast staples like eggs, bacon, pancakes etc. They have a full bar but be leery of their mixed drinks, they're kinda meh. I would just stick to beer. I would definitely recommend coming in and checking out their taco bar! I mean who wouldn't want to eat tacos twice in 1 week?? The meats were all good imo. Prejudice and racism was so visible here from one Hispanic to another! Why - because we did not speak Spanish!!! The waiter was sarcastic, rude and pestering, mocking us as we were there with out of town family. The manager Marco DEDENDED AND MINIMIZED his employees actions. One of our fam members is a regular, looks Caucasian although he is really of Hispanic descent and speaks fluent Spanish. The point is, this was horrible. And we watched him be nice to those who spoke Spanish and the older regular retirees in the restaurant. Jist over all bad bad. Even the waitress joked that she brought us toast that she dropped. Terrible service tonight. We arrived for karaoke Tuesdays only to find out there was no karaoke due to the Lakers finals. There was no sign announcing karaoke was cancelled. The karaoke DJ was set and ready to go. Many were upset about that Karaoke Tuesdays being cancelled. I saw lots of people leaving the restaurant upset. I've been going to this restaurant since moving to Fullerton over 20 years ago. It used to be my go-to place for great comfort food and seeing staff that had been there for ages. Last night my son and I went for a dinner together. He ordered an omelet and I ordered the taco salad. Service was great, but the food has definitely gone downhill! The broasted chicken is no longer on the menu. It was my favorite. The taco salad with shredded beef had an abundance of lettuce, a modest amount of avocado, and a skimpy portion of meat (that was not heated). Tortilla chips on the side were good. Refried beans were UNDER the large fluted shell (to keep it from sliding?). When I tasted the large shell, it tasted like FISH! Was it rancid? Was it fried in the same oil as the fish? YUCK! The entertainment of the evening ... seeing the female server picking from a plate one of the french fries meant for a customer and popping it in her mouth at the kitchen counter. OMG! read more

I feel weird giving a 24hr diner 5 stars, but for what it is; it couldn't be better! My first time here was to watch World Cup. I saw the morning match at the bar with my $6 22oz Stella and came back later to watch the afternoon match with a pitcher of Stella $15 and Nachos $7. Yum! Bartender, Servers, Bussers, Mgr...
