Had a great night out at salt & spirits. Live music in the corner, plenty of seating, plenty of fans to stay cool and great pours. Would definitely return. For people with allergies I experienced both good orders came with sesame seeds for which I'm allergic to and they were not listed on the menu it came with sesame seeds. Just a recommendation to list them as there are more and more people who are affected. The wonton chips, salsa and guacamole were really good. We had a pretty good dinner in a very casual environment. We sat at the outdoor bar and the bartenders were quick to recommend favorites dishes and provide sample rotating tap beers. We chose the chicken sandwich and tuna tacos with chips as a starter. All were delicious. The taco shells and the chips are really crispy. The bar has a tiki type feel with mostly outdoor covered seating and a smaller inside area. There is also an area without a cover. There is a live band at 9 pm (weekends?) and that's when the crowd seemed to show up and get a little more rowdy. They are in a busy area so parking is a little tough to find right in front on the weekends, so check out the parking garage for easier parking. read more

Service and ambiance is top notch. Fun, relaxing and casual, unlike most of Boca. Feels like you're down on Duvall Street in Key West.

This place looks really inviting from the outside with it's laid back tiki look, colorful lights, and it's bright lights "Relax" sign at the bar. The live band was playing great tunes, and it was a nice cool night to sit outside. After a while we finally got a server, and drinks. My boyfriend asked for a Margarita, when asked what the well tequila was, he only got as an answer "well". So he asked what was the one above well and she just started mentioning brands. He went with Don Julio, which usually is the next above well in most places. Well here apparently it wasn't. They charged him more than double of what my Tito's and soda was. He asked if the price was right, since it obviously seem high, but she just said next time just ask for "well". Pity we had that experience because we really wanted to like this place. Maybe we'll give it another try and just stick to vodka, and enjoy the band and chill atmosphere they have. read more

Please do not support this business they hire girls to work and then never pay them. He owes the bar tenders, food vendors, liquor vendors and even bands and entertainment. They purchase and sell liquor illegally as they are blacklisted from their vendor. They stretch their food out past expiration dates. Truly I don't know how they haven't gone out of business yet but they should not be supported as they don't care about anyone, not their staff members nor their clientele. read more

we stepped into the Salt & Spirits the other day and it was a good time. We had been at a couple other spots in the Mizner area and had wanted to try this spot, so walked over. It had a good vibe, even from half a block away. There was colorful Christmas-like lights and a 2 piece cover band was jamming away. It was a homey energy,, not too full of people and the band was a good listen but not loud. We grabbed a spot at the outdoor bar(the indoor seems to be closed) and checked out the drink menu. It was strangely vague. every drink said for example "Margarita -- tequila + mixer" I asked what the well was and was told "well". It was an off putting way to order my drink. She named off a few brands and I picked a low end one, I didn't need a super top-shelf drink if it had mixer. Drinks are served in a plastic Dixie cup. After a few rounds and good times we got our check. lets just say it was twice as big as expected. Long story short, nice place to stop in, silly priced drinks. We will be back, maybe as a last drink of the night place. read more

As some may recall from previous posts of mine, I refer to places as " Joints", this place is no exception. Met a friend at this joint as he had found it by accident. Great find! Really cool, 1950's vibe " tiki -bar!" It's small on the inside but a larger covered patio area. We ordered fish dip which was very good. Along with with a few drinks, it was enough. Decor is really cool, old movie posters, tiki and tropical. Worth a try to kick back. A good find and a place I'll return to. read more

Rustic Tiki bar seemed appealing so we gave it a try. A man gave me a menu and I asked him if he had any suggestions or favorites....."Yes", he said,"I'll be right back to tell you about them". Tiki bar in Boca!? If you can get over how toasty it can get in their outdoor section despite their best efforts to circulate the air with fans, their cocktails do NOT disappoint. Fresh jalapeños and crisp mint, always a win. I've only visited a couple times since finding this gem a handful of months back. Absolutely delightful service. Failing to remember the tiki tenders name from the first happy hour visit, but he recommended two great rounds of cocktails based on provided preferences and entrusted him to create whatever he wanted my last round. Came for some good music and loved the atmosphere but the almost non-existent service was slow. No matter, because the music was about to start and I liked the band. It was about 30 minutes before someone asked me if I wanted a menu which was extremely limited. I didn't see the server/bartender for another 30 minutes before she made it back to take my order. They were out of peel and eat shrimp and do not serve iced tea so it was two disappointments before I settled on the conch fritters. Another 40 minutes later I still didn't have my fritters but my Diet Coke was served in a small plastic cup. I asked about my order and was told they only have one guy in the back. Meanwhile, since nobody else was eating anything I had to assume everything is done from scratch which is a better assumption then totally in La la land. The conch fritters were not the best I've ever had but they were not the worst either. The vibe is very key west and relaxing but the service was so slow I was jumping out of my skin and there was only about 20 patrons in the establishment. I can't even fathom what happens if they get a few food orders at the same time. Additionally, I do not like places that request my credit card to hold while I am patronizing them so I paid cash. They charged me four dollars for my Diet Coke which was small with no refills. There is nothing very exciting at Salt and Spirits. I cannot recommend this bar/restaurant and I would not return unless they revamp the menu and hire some more help. read more

Had the worst guest service experience. The owner was unprofessional and rude and denied entry for so-called under 21 when he was absolutely wrong. Went for a night cap with a group of friends and after showing multiple forms of ID from each persons. He stated "the reason I know these are fake is from 25 years in law enforcement".
