This place is a little hidden gem that deserves more recognition than it gets truly! If you get nothing else, get the ramen. It is beyond delicious. I love the bulgogi ramen it's my personal favorite but the spicy pork ramen is also AMAZING. The fried chicken is also really good. I prefer the chicken breast but the wings are also really good. We haven't had the bbq yet but it looks so good and I just imagine it's amazing! Worth giving it a try. The service is always wonderful. Everyone is so nice and always so friendly and attentive. The place is small so it could get packed but it's really clean and the bbq tables are outside which are really nice. Must try if you're in Boca craving Korean and Ramen! read more

Wow has this place gone downhill. I've been going here for years. I've gotten the same thing, bulgogi tacos. The quality was horrible. I couldn't eat it. The meat was completely some sort of hard cartilage, that first bite was a thick string that came right out of my mouth from the taco. That was all the meat. I was saddened that I had no taco left. I could have looked past a small piece, but my entire taco was gone. The staff wasn't very friendly even from when we first walked in. I just ate my other taco and took some of my husband's food. I wish this place was getting better not worse. I'm going to go back again and hopefully it will be better. But these last few times the staff has been very bad. read more

This is one of our favorite Korean food restaurants. The food is delicious, service is fast, and never disappoints. We have our favorites, beef bulgogi bibimbap - a popular Korean dish meaning "mixed rice." We opt for the stone bowl where the rice crisps at the bottom. The bowl has white rice topped with various seasoned, sautéed vegetables, a fried egg, and marinated meat or tofu, all mixed together in a harmony with a spicy chili paste called gochujang. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. We also love the Kimchi fries. I consider myself a French fry connoisseur, and these are tops! Other dishes are really good, too. We've had scallion pancakes, dumplings, tofu with kimchi. All delicious. There are outside tables with table side BBQ. One of these days we'll try that. Korean beer is available along with sugary Korean soda options. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Reasonable prices. Nice size menu with vegan options, too. Have been here twice recently and we were extremely happy! The spicy pork (not spicy) was excellent and the bulgogi was very good as well. The spicy pork hands down is definitely the favorite. Service the first time was excellent, the second time we were there the waitress a seemed like she really didn't want to work, even though we were the only customers eating at that time. Cute little Korean spot -- no lunch specials, but some all-day options that work for mid-day eats, like Korean tacos (an LA import) and rice/greens bowls. Rachel tried two tacos: *Spicy Pork - solid flavor. *Yangyum Chicken - fried chunks in a sweet/"spicy" gochujang glaze. Not really spicy, more sweet-leaning. I went for the Spicy Pork Red Bowl (pork bulgogi over greens + rice). It's described on the menu with a sriracha "yum yum" mayo on top -- I wasn't paying attention, so that's on me. I really don't like that sauce, so I asked them to remake it without, which they did without hesitation. Just a heads-up for others who might feel the same way. Banchan spread was a nice surprise: fish cakes, cucumber kimchi, napa kimchi, spicy horseradish noodle salad, bean sprouts, and marinated onions. Verdict: good first run. A fun korean restaurant! Felt more commercial than a mom and pop place but it was nice and trendy! Good amount of inside and outside seating. They played kpop music at a decent volume. I don't like that genre of music so i was quite content. Service was quick! Fries came out first and were super delish. Crisp fries. Not so much bulgogi but i always want a lot of meat. i really enjoyed this take on kimchi fries ! The fresh tasting mango sauce was super awesome ! Good amount of kimchi for sure. We cleared the bowl. You do have to ask for bonchan (side dishes) but we were brought out several dishes! Fish cake, bean sprouts, kimchi, kimchi zucchini, and pickled onions. I got some soup! I have dreamt of this place since I had a chance to visit during my adventures in Boca Raton. We stopped in and perused the menu. We were instantly offered some glasses of water to help cool us done. There's both indoor and outdoor seating-- not a huge space but enough to accommodate at least 6 other tables inside and about 3 or 4 outdoors. We walked over but the parking situation can be a bit challenging as it's downtown Boca Raton area/ not too far from Mizner. I instantly gravitated to the kimchi fries as my starter! Imagine what the perfect loaded fries situation should look like and double your expectations! The fries were crispy just like they should be, the kimchi, cheese and bulgogi was a perfect ratio! I lowkey wished I wasn't sharing (sorry friends) lol. This was probably the most memorable dish I had since it's been really challenging to find it on anyone else's menu. Our server was prompt with the service and took our table's orders as quick as we'd like and brought the food out relatively fast. I loved that I had a chance to try the honey garlic chicken as well. The rest of my party ordered tacos and bibimbap which also looked really great. I thought the price was reasonable and we were all able to get a taste of the kimchi fries (the star of the table). I recommend this place and often check to see if they'd deliver to northern Palm Beach County-- no such luck so far. I'll be back again before Spring Break for sure! read more

I try to stay away from negative reviews but we had 4 takeout entrees and 2 appetizers and no one in our party was pleased with their meals. Since our meal was takeout, I can't comment on the service or ambience beyond the fact our order was ready at the time promised. The dukboki was spicy with a very harsh gochuchang taste. Usually, the sauce has a little more of a complex flavor with a balance of sweet and spicy. The kimchi bokkeum barely had any meat and spice. The bibimbaps were average and the galbi was disappointing as well. The meat was tough and just didn't have a very memorable flavor. There are a lot of positive reviews so we had high expectations. Maybe they had an off night? Not sure but as a Korean family, sadly, the meal was a letdown. read more

Came here on July 4th and the food was amazing! My favorite was the seafood pancake. Such crispy texture complemented by the moist pieces of scallion, shrimp, and squid. There was only 1 server this day, but he was awesome and would preemptively see to our needs before we even knew we needed it (extra utensils, frequent water fill ups, extra napkins, etc.) This place is small and quaint, but the flavors of the food are BIG! One of my favorite things about this restaurant is their consistency. My #1 pick is their bibimbap bulgogi bowl. Comes with all the delicious sides like kimchi, various pickle veggies. My friend tried the hot dog with potato but she didn't like it. She did enjoy her pork toco though. Clean & unfussy, I highly recommend this family owned restaurant for lunch. I got the Galbi bimimbap on a stone bowl. It came out extremely hot, the stone bowl allowed the rice to get extremely crispy. The beef was flavorful but two of the three short rib were very chewy. The vegetables and eggs were seasoned well. Together the entire dish was very balanced and flavorful. Staff was friendly. The dish costed $20 plus $2 for the stone pot. Christmas night my husband and I had dinner at a recommended restaurant in Boca called Tacowa Korean BBQ. This was our first time having Korean food. The food came out hot and fast. The service was excellent, and the restaurant was vibrant, with soft music playing and very clean. We ordered the fried chicken and french fries which were very unique and tasty. We also had their signature soup. The owner Jon and his wife came out to greet us and welcome the first time Korean diners. We will definitely return and bring our friends. Great little Korean Bistro in the middle of downtown Boca. Loved the minimalist decor and service was fantastic. Hubby and I shared a chicken Bim Bim Bap(it was late so didn't want to stuff ourselves). Everything tasted clean and fresh. You have to go for the stone pot to get the crispy rice on the bottom. Actually it had the best crispys ever. If you want bbq they have outside tables with grills. So if you sit inside you're not smoked out but do get to enjoy the aroma. This is a solid place for Korean-style fare if you're in the area. I visited for lunch with a coworker and ordered the kimchi fries and the spicy pork bibimbap. I wish that the pork had been spicier, but I thoroughly enjoyed the mix of flavors and textures from the addition of the egg and the mix of veggies. The bibimbap was served with a few banchan, which I thought was a nice touch. The kimchi fries were okay, but I would probably skip them next time and try something else. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and I liked the outdoor seating area. I do think the prices are sort of high, but that's Boca for you. First, thanks and kudos to all those restaurants that remain open during COVID-19 2020! This means you Tacowa! The pros: The Kimchi Fried Rice with the beef bulgogi was . It will definitely be a reorder. I don't even have a photo because we just dug in! Ordering for pickup through Yelp was super easy and the order was ready on time! I'm interested to try the Kimchi pancake next time. The cons: I had the Kimchi Bowl on a prior Uber Eats delivery order. I was not in love. It was just "okay." The Kimchi fried rice on my second order was definitely so so much better. On the pickup order we also ordered the Garlic Honey and the Sweet/Spicy Korean Fried Chicken. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt here and say I probably would have liked this much better in a dining in experience (but we can't do that in these COVID times). They did they best they could...the boxes were vented and then they also vented the plastic bag they put the boxes in. Alas, the KFC was steamy and wet by the time I got home (less than a 5 min drive). We tried to save it with a little oven time, but it was no use. It was not crisp and delicious any longer. So if pickup is the only option I'd say skip the KFC for now. We were also disappointed the LFC was chunks/nuggets and not on the bone drummies. It almost makes me not want to order it again because of that alone. Back to a plus....the KFC portion was very healthy definitely enough for two people to split one order. So if you just like good quality chicken nuggets with nice flavor and aren't concerned about that crunch...you'd probably like these...especially the Sweet/Spicy flavor! read more
