    Honey Lavender
    Tony T.

This is probably the least packed salt and straw I've been to and the people were all waiting for customers to help out. It's probably the least packed since parking is expensive in the lot and parking elsewhere is hard to come by. Ice cream of course is pretty standard to other Salt and Straw locations so you can't go wrong. I got the honey lavender and it tastes the same as the other places. This one does have a gift shelf I might not have noticed at other ones. But it looks and feels like all the other salt and straw just bigger probably because it was empty when I went

Always enjoy trying the new seasonal flavors at Salt & Straw. Small, clean icecream shop in a busy plaza. Service is always super friendly and helpful. The parking is the only why I'm knocking it down a star. Parking is now $3. My favorite flavors are the honey lavender, olive oil, and salted malted cookie dough!

We got the vegan seasonal flavors. Overall they're ok. Service was great as always but they did change the parking to add valet which is annoying. It's also small inside no real sitting just standing room and 2 benches outside.

My favorite flavor is now a seasonal item that is going away already, dreaming of my peanut butter brittle ice cream after this last visit.

I'm so glad this Salt & Straw opened here, I wish I still lived in the area, but it's a nice stop when you're in the area and craving Salt & Straw. The service is friendly and the ambiance is what you expect every time you're in a Salt & Straw. A little disappointed by the fall seasonal flavors, and some of the decisions they've made on the menu.

Pear & Blue Cheese on top, Strawberry Honey Balsamic w/ Black Pepper on the bottom! A split scoop of deliciousness!!!

What is there to say?!?! If you love ice cream, exceptional service and wonderful flavors, this is the place for you, me and, everybody screaming for ICE CREAM!! I love food and exceptional flavors. Pear and Blue Cheese & Strawberry Honey Balsamic with Black Pepper are my absolute favorite flavor's!!! If you can't imagine how satisfying savory ice cream can be, try Salt & Straw. You'll thank me and all of the creators of this amazing establishment. So let me thank Salt & Straw for such a wonderful experience! Please never stop creating! As a Chef's wife, I tip my hat to you!!!

Salt and straw is a well renowned ice cream chain in California. I've had ice cream from them a couple of times, and have never been disappointed. I stopped in during the evening because I saw the tacolate was restocked and wanted to give it a try. The inside is very sleek and modern, and everything is very neat and clean. Service was fast and friendly. The tacolate was well packed and neat. Biting into it you get a nice crunch from the chocolate/waffle taco shell, and the nice vanilla/cinnamon ice cream inside, all very nice quality. The tacolate by itself is pretty good, but adding the spicy berry sauce creates a whole new experience; the intense berry flavor creates a lovely contrast with the ice cream, and the sweetness and slight kick really elevate the whole experience. A lot of the time chains will put out gimmicks like this and they'll be more hype than substance, but salt and straw definitely delivered with this.

Very cute shop, friendly workers, easy parking. Not a lot of tables though to sit down and enjoy your ice-cream, but there are benches outside. They have both limited edition flavors and regular classics. Vegan and dairy options. Flavors I've tried: Honey Lavender - not my fav. Anything with lavender tastes like soap to me. Double Fold Vanilla - not too sweet or vanilla-ey. Disappointed, thought it would be more flavorful. Strawberry Honey Balsamic w/Black Pepper- The first bite had a strong balsamic flavor, but it wasn't unpleasant. The balsamic actually heightened the strawberry flavor. Would get this one again. Marionberry coconut sherbet (v) - Surprisingly tarte, but good if you don't like super sweet ice cream. Will definitely be back, and it's nice that they're open late until 11pm.

Absolutely love Salt & Straw - so happy one opened up in Brentwood! Servers were very friendly and helpful, and the store itself is clean and modern. I'd recommend getting the flight (4 scoops for $16) if you have 2+ people - better deal + you get to try more flavors. My go-to for years has been the strawberry + coconut water sherbet. For May flavors- highly recommend the rhubarb crumble w/ toasted anise. We also enjoyed the pistachio w/ saffron + rose water and jasmine milk tea + chocolate almond stracciatella. Will definitely be a regular here!

SO excited to have a Salt & Straw in the neighborhood! Came in on grand opening day, no wait and no line around 2pm. Seasonal holiday flavors are still going strong. We got Gingerbread Cookie Dough - yum! Service was attentive and friendly. Will be returning very soon!

Love salt and straw. Now that there is a location so close to me feels dangerous almost. Parking lot available, service is friendly. No issues whatsoever.

I absolutely love their ice cream and I'm glad they opened another location closer to our home! The staff here is so friendly and welcoming, our entire family always enjoys it here. The smell of freshly baked waffle cones lures you in and the unique flavor assortment keeps you coming back for more!they are very knowledgeable here and always happy to help. High-quality, delicious ice cream, highly recommended!

Service was friendly and staff were helpful when I asked about adding a matcha cream top to the matcha latte. I ordered my matcha less sweet just in case my drink would be too sweet. The drink wasn't sweet at all which I didn't expect, but it wasn't a bad thing. I wouldn't make any adjustments next time. The matcha was astringent, bitter, and umami. I did taste some slight graininess, but nothing too bad. I think they prepare the matcha as a paste then add it to the top of the milk. I've never seen other places prepare their drinks like this before! Overall, it was a solid drink for an decent price.

The drinks and pastries have always made it an easy place for us to grab a treat, so I'm not writing this based on one random first impression. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing enough that I felt I needed to say something. When we came in, the trash cans were overflowing, and the floor looked like it had not been cleaned in quite some time. I understand that cafés can get very busy, especially in Little Tokyo, and I never expect a place to look perfect every second of the day. However, the dining area felt noticeably neglected. With two children, cleanliness is something I pay closer attention to, and it was uncomfortable trying to find a clean area for us to stand and sit. The overall atmosphere also felt disorganized. We waited at the register for help, but it took a while before anyone acknowledged us. A simple "I'll be right with you" would have made a big difference. I have had better experiences here in the past, which is why this visit stood out so much. I'm hoping this was simply a bad day, because Café Dulce has always been a place I was happy to visit with my family. I'm sharing this because I would genuinely like to see the cleanliness and customer service return to the standard I remember. Private Feedback for Management I did not feel comfortable putting the full details of this experience in a public review, but I believe management needs to be aware of what happened. While I was standing at the register waiting to order, the male employee working there was engaged in a conversation with another person and appeared to be openly gloating about drinking while on the job. Based on what I heard and observed, he also appeared to be impaired or intoxicated. He continued the conversation while ignoring me, even though I was standing directly in front of the register waiting to place an order. The tone of the conversation was not subtle or professional. It created a much darker and more uncomfortable atmosphere than what I would ever expect from a family-friendly café. I was there with my two children, and hearing someone behind the register casually talking about drinking while working was deeply concerning. Someone who appears intoxicated while operating a register and handling customers' money creates a terrible narrative for the business. It raises concerns about judgment, accuracy with transactions, food-service safety, and the overall professionalism of the workplace. Even if the employee was exaggerating or joking, it was still completely inappropriate to have that conversation openly in front of customers. What bothered me most was not only the conversation, but the fact that I was being ignored while it continued. I was waiting to spend money at the business, yet the employee seemed more interested in talking about drinking than acknowledging a customer. As a mother standing there with two children, the situation felt uncomfortable, disrespectful, and honestly a little disturbing. This is not my first time visiting Café Dulce, and I have never felt compelled to complain before. I understand that employees are human and that businesses have difficult days. However, the combination of overflowing trash cans, a dirty floor, being ignored at the register, and an employee appearing impaired while discussing drinking on the job crossed a line for me. I am sharing this privately because I believe management should have the opportunity to address it directly. I hope the situation is taken seriously, not only for the reputation of the café, but for the safety and comfort of the customers and employees.

Due to the undercooked quality, it's not a cookie I'd get regularly, though I am a big chocolate chip cookie fan. 5/5 Rocky Road: This was delicious. I'm not usually a marshmallow fan, but the addition of this ingredient formed a nice chewy consistency that I expect from a cookie.
