Tried the Salt and Sugar Taqueria for lunch today ... tacos were delicious and my lemonade was SO GOOD! The little heart straw was so cute!! The owner was there serving us and she and her staff are top notch! I was a little bummed to hear the business is moving so had to go before they moved. I will go to their new location. No matter what I'll always choose mom and pop places over large chain restaurants. Great place to have a carne asada taco!

1 Cabeza and 1 Chicken pink taco!

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out for their all you can eat tacos for $20 from 4pm to 8pm. I for sure wanted to check out this place as my favorite color is pink and their tacos are pink! They also have a dessert (cookie) that is pink. Heck yeah! Learned about this place from Instagram. I do love how this is a family owned small pop and mom shop. However, the only 2 I see hustling and working like crazy would be the ma and pop. I'm not really sure how to explain it. It is complete and utter chaos when it gets busy. The kids (which I think are the workers) seem so stressed and unhappy. 1 even asked if she could get us anything else so we wanted to order more tacos. But then she said she had to go write it down so I'm confused why she asked because then another female worker came to take our order. They need a better system to be proficient. They just look like they are so unhappy and stressed to the max. The level of business was picking up as time went on but the wait to order more tacos or to receive them takes a very long time! A lot of sit and waiting around. When we came there was a family of 5, 2 young females at a table, then in walked 2 females that sat at the high top table area). The tacos for the all you can eat deal are only Birria, Cabeza, Caritas, and Chicken. Then tables outside were filling up. My favorite was Cabeza and I asked for no toppings as I dont like onions. The picture with the sign I asked for a Cabeza and 2 chicken tacos but only got 2 tacos. This is what I mean by needed a more proficient way to write down or take orders or to get it right. Then it's like another 15 minutes to order and get more tacos. The mom did apologize for the wait. I really want to give this place another chance and try a different dish and my boyfriend wants to attempt to beat the record of eating the most tacos here (he ate 15 and apparently the record is 17). You don't get anything special for beating the record except bragging rights lol. While waiting to order more we saw someone order dessert tacos and they looked so good I wanted to get them after I was done with their tacos tacos. The siitting around and waiting made our visit be over an hour I decided to not get any dessert in the end because I wasnt feeling it. I didn't even see any pink cookies for sale. I would come back to try dessert for sure. Glad I tried this place.

Chips and salsa. The salsas were all delicious!

What a perfect place to come on national taco day! This is a family owned business, very friendly people. You can tell that Shauny, the owner, puts alot of love into the food. It truly felt like I was eating a home cooked meal at my mom's house. Me and my bestie got the menudo, hard and soft tacos, which come with rice, beans, macaroni salad, and a churro tacos for dessert. Everything was very delicious! The menudo reminded my so much of my moms, so comforting. We got a mix of tacos, chicken, carne asada, carnitas, birria. My favorite was the carne asada, so we'll seasoned and flavorful. The churro taco dessert was the cherry on top of a perfect meal! Come support small business and check this spot out the next time you crave Mexican food.

Salt & Sugar Taqueria is absolutely amazing! They're known for their fun, pink-themed tacos and desserts, pink everything! This is a small, family-run business, and you can truly feel the love and personality in everything they make. The owner's sense of humor is so silly and fun, it makes the experience even more enjoyable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My kiddos loved it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She makes homemade cookies and desserts that are absolutely delicious. She also caters for weddings, birthdays, rehearsals, and all kinds of events. We were thrilled to win a giveaway she hosted. If you want to support a faithful, awesome local business, check out her taco shop, hire her for your next event, or just grab some homemade treats. We love Salt & Sugar Taqueria and everything they do!

Came for the pink tacos, stayed for the amazing flavors and stellar service! My best friend and I keep a list of places we want to try around the valley, and last week we visited Salt and Sugar Taqueria! Soon after being seated, we were delivered a dish of chips and a variety of salsas. Of the assortment, my favorite was the one with the beets. It had an earthy yet somewhat spicy flavor that was really enjoyable and memorable. I ordered the cherry limeade to drink and my friend had the cotton candy lemonade. We were both delighted by our gigantic and flavorful drinks. They are served in reusable mason jars, which you can bring back for a small discount on your next lemonade. For my meal, I ordered the three taco plate with chicken tacos. Of course, they came on Salt and Sugar Taqueria's signature pink tortillas. The tacos were so flavorful and delicious. I also really enjoyed the beans, rice, and mac salad. The mac salad was definitely different but in a good way. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This spot was so cute and the owners were absolute gems.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would not hesitate to return next time I'm in the area!

Food amazing! Full of flavor so good. Tried the quesobirria taco the consume is so good I just want to drink it. The cabesa tacos so tender. The pink corn tortillas are so good. The soap fria I love wish I was eating it now. The Spanish rice is also a hit. Their tomatillo salsa is phenomenal. Went for my bday dinner choice the service was just great so kind definitely going back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute establishment can dine in or take out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Ok 1st off... I love this place.... Being from Ca and now an AZ resident full time now ... [[HIGHLIGHT]]this place is worth it... and reminds me of home, It's on the small size and it didn't help that I brought in 5 grown ass adults and 2 kids so we are a party in itself it's on the smaller size very cute cozy and PINK!!!!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Yes Girls you heard me right Pink. So today July 5th we came in the owner took our orders sodas were can and bottles sodas that you got yourself and she puts on later when your ready to pay our tacos were red white and blue (well the tortilla part of it was) normally I believe there pink my sister got fish tacos and got a pink aïoli sauce every thing was very flavorful and we got a little bit of everything, they ran out of enchiladas but gives us a reason to go back the best part is the owner coming and sitting and talking with us. Honestly I love that... when I'm this side of town we are definitely coming back... thank you so much for your hospitality

I've seen the sign for this place from the road on the way my my daughters gymnastics and wondered what it was. To my surprise it was a taco shop! Decided to stop in today and give it a try. I ordered two carne tacos, two Pollo tacos, two carnitas and a Quesa Birria. Then topped it off with their lemonade and Churro taco. I started off with their Churro taco as I didn't want it to be soggy by the time I ate it, oh my diabetes it was delicious! Then I devoured the Quesa Birria and dipped it in the sauce it came with, so juicy so full of flavor and definitely was not expecting the nice kick of heat at the end! The next few tacos I only took a bite or two out of but in order, the carnitas was nice and flavorful as well, so juicy it actually broke my cute Lil pink tortilla lol Pollo taco was good too but wasn't my favorite, same goes for the carne. The carne to me had quite a bit of grisly pieces that threw me off a little and the seasoning wasn't what I'm use to I suppose. Still good, just wasn't a favorite. The lemonade I ordered I got to choose a flavor, I went with peach and it came with a few cute toppings too, cotton candy and peachos and gummy worms. I do then the lemonade portion of it got lost in the drink, although I ain't complaining. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was wonderful, the decor inside was cute, loving the hocus pocus theme currently.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Stop by and give this place a shot!

This is an experience! This awesome taqueria is operated out of the chef's house in a residential neighborhood and wow is the food good. We had the carna asada and fish tacos. It came with chips and three salsas and the strawberry tartar sauce was a sweet surprise that paired so well with the thick cut of perfectly deep fried cod. The tortillas are all pink as are the dishes and glasses. Very cute. They are also bakers and we got pink cookies at the end. I had chocolate chip and hubby had the snickerdoodle with buttercream. Go and enjoy a treat! The service is also great!

We heard about salt and sugar on social media and decided to check it out. We were greeted right away and pleased with the overall experience. Service was quick and prompt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were playing country and pop music which I did find slightly strange but not a big deal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was tasty! Some creative pink tacos with super soft tortillas, tender meat full of flavor. We also ordered a maple bacon breakfast burrito and was super impressed with the unique flavor. The only not so great item was the green salsa they served with the complimentary chips upon being seated. Overall a great experience! We'd totally recommend to a friend.

Small family owned business serving delicious home cooked food. I enjoy the basket of chips and salsa while waiting for the main meal. The green chili enchiladas were good. I always enjoy the rice and beans. I washed it all down with a refreshing strawberry lemonade. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This comfy little restaurant has you feeling like your sitting in mom's kitchen enjoying a cooked meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great service! I definitely enjoy stopping by to support this small business when I find myself in the area.

Food is very good very fresh and very non-expenses so very reasonable for your wallet

Do they have vegan taco and pasta salad options?

I think so, I had the tacos with beans, not sure about the pasta salad but they are VERY willing to accomodate. It is yummy!

The quality really stands out--especially the homemade tortillas, which take everything to the next level. The al pastor and carne asada are both incredible, packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. I also love that the al pastor is cooked authentically on a spit, which really adds to the flavor and experience. Sometimes the best meals happen because your original plan falls through. That was exactly the case…read morehere, and honestly... I'm not even a little mad about it. I ordered the veggie tacos with roasted sweet potatoes (skin on, which was absolutely the right call), pepitas, feta, and all the right toppings. Whoever prepped those sweet potatoes deserves a raise because they were cut into the perfect sized pieces. Every bite had a little sweetness, a little crunch, a little saltiness... it just worked. My dining partner ordered the barbacoa tacos, and I didn't even have to ask if they were good. The involuntary "Mmm..." after the first bite answered that question. Four tacos disappeared in record time, followed by, "I could've eaten two more." That's about as glowing of a review as you're going to get. Now let's talk about these tortillas. Handmade. Corn. Tortillas. Are you kidding me? They're the kind of tortillas that had me question every tortilla I've ever eaten. Soft, fresh, and somehow they manage to steal the spotlight even with everything else on the plate being so good. The chips and guacamole were excellent, too. The chips have to be made in-house and they disappeared at an alarming rate. The salsa that came with them had this smoky, fire-roasted, chipotle flavor that kept me reaching for another chip... and then another... and then suddenly I realized I'd eaten way more chips than I intended. The bottled table salsas deserve their own paragraph because they completely confused me... in the best way. They bring three to the table... a green, a red, and a darker red. I kept tasting them individually thinking, "Okay, these are alright." Then I started mixing them. Game over. On their own, each one was solid. Mixed together? That was the magic. I don't know if that's what they intended or if I accidentally stumbled onto the perfect combination, but from that point on, every taco got the salsa trio treatment. The only tiny hiccup was when we first walked in. We were greeted, asked if we wanted menus, and sat ourselves. We waited for a bit thinking someone would come take our order, only to realize it's actually counter service. Once we figured that out, everything was smooth sailing. Not a big deal at all... just something first-time visitors might want to know. Follow the sign "order here" I also loved the layout. You can actually watch them making the food, which somehow makes the wait even harder because everything smells incredible. Two tacos ended up being the perfect light meal for me. Could I have eaten ten? Absolutely. Those two statements can both be true. Meanwhile, my dining partner polished off four barbacoa tacos and was talking about ordering two more. We only ended up here because another place happened to be closed, and honestly, I'm glad it worked out that way. This ended up being one of those meals we keep talked about on the drive home. Oh and the bathrooms?. I walked in and immediately thought, "Whoa... this is a cool bathroom" The lighting had this pinkish-purple glow that made me feel like I'd accidentally wandered into a trendy lounge instead of a taco shop. I honestly wasn't even sure there was regular lighting in there and I didn't look... because the vibe seemed so intentional. Finally, the music. .. upbeat, dance-worthy, the kind that had me bouncing in my seat while waiting for my food. Between the atmosphere, the lighting, and the music, the whole place had me want to hang out a little longer. Zero regrets. I'll absolutely be back... and next time I'm ordering more tacos.
