Tijuana Burro with rice and beans and a small Adobada Fries
    Hyrum R.

First time here and there is a lot of choices. Raul did an absolutely great job explaining the menu and history behind it. Was very patient. I ended up landing on the Tijuana Burro with rice and beans and the small Adobada Fries. The Tijuana Burro was super good!!! Love the chilis in it. The Adobada Fries were like a El Pastor, and was super flavorful!! The rice and beans were really good and fresh. Can taste the fresh homemade flavor. Very filling. Couldn't finish the burro. Oh and 4 flavorful salsas you gotta try. I liked all 4 of them! I will have to come back for the breakfast stuff and try more items!

I came for a burrito and fries and somehow left in a committed relationship with this place. First, the tortillas deserve their own round of applause. They taste fresh, soft, and dangerously close to homemade. The carne asada burrito was packed with juicy, actually-good-quality meat, and not in that "where did the rest of it go?" kind of way. This thing had a real, respectable portion. The fries are your classic shoestring style, and they do the job well, especially when you start loading them up with extras like you've lost all self-control. My only heartbreak: Pepsi products. A tragic twist. But they redeemed themselves with Dr Pepper in the fountain, plus Mexican drinks and canned colas, so I've decided to begin healing. I have not tried the breakfast burritos yet, but based on everything else, I am fully prepared to believe they could change lives. Or at least improve mornings dramatically. I'll absolutely be back for one. Also, shoutout to the service: super fast, super friendly, and the place was ridiculously clean. The drive-thru was moving people through like a well-oiled burrito machine, and the dining room was genuinely impressive. Overall, this is a quality spot. I wanted lunch. They gave me trust issues about every other burrito place.

Hubby and I came to check it out. We've been stalking the place patiently waiting for it to open! Absolutely did not disappoint! I ordered the street tacos- one pollo and one carne asada. Absolutely amazing and loved that it wasn't greasy and everything was fresh! My husband got the carne asada burro and was throughly pleased! Had a bite and was hooked! Definitely more fresh than what we get nearby at Filiberto's or Rili-B's. If you download the app you'll get a free churro and can accumulate reward points. They also have a Drive-Thru as that is how we knew they opened. The town did a bad job creating awareness for the business. We are excited the first visit didn't disappoint like the FarmerBoys did. Everyone was very nice and quick to serve!

Carne asada street tacos (no cilantro)

Hubs and I tried out their street tacos and it was very good! We ordered their carne asada plus one birria street taco. The birria was good but I think the guacamole on the carne asada tacos puts it over the edge. The tortillas are absolutely delicious and they do not skimp on the meat. We went through their drive thru and it did not take long for us to get our food. The staff is polite and quick. I also purchased their Jamaica agua fresca and it was good too. We will definitely be back!

We've been wanting to try this new spot since they opened a few weeks ago, so we took a detour from our usual lunch plans to check it out. The restaurant was moderately busy with a short line, and while there is a convenient drive-thru, note there is no outdoor seating. We downloaded the app before entering and scored a free "thank you" churro, which was a nice touch. For lunch, we ordered the surf and turf burro, five rolled tacos, and a bag of chips. A few hiccups: I wasn't allowed to split the taco order between chicken and beef, and they don't offer brewed iced tea (though they do sell small bottled tea). The food itself was a mixed bag. The surf and turf burro was excellent--huge portions with large shrimp and plenty of steak; we actually had to take half home. However, the chicken rolled tacos were just okay, and the $6 bag of chips was massive but felt a bit pricey. The salsa has a great flavor but definitely packs a punch! A few service notes: it took a bit of time for the food to arrive, a fountain soda is about $5, and the cashier wasn't sure how to scan the app for loyalty points. Total for two was around $43. While the burrito was a standout, the high price point and lack of drink options mean it might be a while before we return.

Pretty good food, prices are a little bit high. Would recommend on a pay day, but it's a place I wouldn't think about unless I pass by.

The gravy tasted burnt for some reason. Maybe they used bacon grease that was left on the burner too long? It wasn't burnt but tasted like it. They also didn't give nearly enough gravy. So it was quite dry. Crackers & Co off the 60 & country club is still the hands down winner of biscuits and gravy in the east valley. Fresh squeezed OJ was good. Pricy. But you can taste that they for sure were squeezing their oranges fresh in the back. Pancake dog was pretty good nothing to run home about though. Scrambled eggs were really tasty - not liquid fake egg or powder. We sat outside and even though we were in the shade now I was concerned that the sun may of been hitting the area we were sitting earlier in the day. And this concerned me because they don't mind having the cholula and ketchup baking in the sun. So be aware of you use their condiments they may of been outside baking in the az sun (as shown in my pic). The service was respectful and nice. Don't think I'll be back especially if I want biscuits and gravy... may try something else in take out in the future.

Though, the wait was quite long but I tried to be understanding since not many locations are open on holidays. It's counter service so some delay was that the staff couldn't find us (example: croissant arrived after our meal and 10-15 minutes after the cappuccino ordered with it). The patio looks nice for cooler days, and we enjoyed sitting in the little nook that had paintings and small crafts for sale. Recently purchased by new owners from France, I knew I had to try as I love French cuisine. They have a French Specials Board and a Croissant Menu, which my boyfriend both ordered from. We both said we wished there were more French items to choose from. What We Ordered: ~ Coke: served as a can with a mason jar of ice. ~ Goat Cheese Croque Monsieur: My boyfriend loved it, but wished there was more béchamel sauce. The goat cheese compliments the ham really well, and he throughly enjoyed. ~ French Quiche (Chicken, bell pepper, cheddar): I really enjoyed this quiche as it's not something you can find done well in a lot of places. The combination of ingredients work well together. ~ Cappuccino: This was crafted well and I enjoyed the light dusting of topping (believe cinnamon sugar). The espresso paired nicely with the frothed milk and velvety foam. ~ Croissant & Butter: Sadly, this was like any croissant you can get. A skip for us next time, but probably great for a sandwich. Overall, we enjoyed our meal though I'm not a fan of counter service. We'd return again, and pick a table more in the open so it's easily to deliver food to us.

The woman who gave me my food talked up the jam but it was really tart & we didn't like it. In addition, I paid $6 for coffee. I went up for a refill & there was only decaf. The bartenders said they were brewing more but kinda blew me off. They were way more concerned with the alcohol buying/tipping customers. After 10+ mins I went back up to just wait. After all the bar customers left, a bartender finally acknowledged me & she took my cup & filled it up behind the bar. Supposedly, they'll have a dedicated coffee area ready at the end of August. But, at this point I feel that you shouldn't go to the Olive Mill for hot food, especially at breakfast. They're soo popular that they've stopped caring about flavor. Sad really. Olives & salads your best bet. Nice live music was outside but it was so hot our group decided to go inside.
