Grilled chicken bbq sandwich was super tasty too.

What a great little spot to kill a few hours. We we're staying at the new auto camp just a mile or two away looking for something to do in the afternoon and this was perfect. The food was tasty. Drink options were good and mini golf was an easy fun activity. Also, dogs are allowed in the back area on the cupboard patio, which is nice and cool. Also alcohol and delta 9 drinks available.

Our first time here, and we had such a good time, the service was very friendly and caring, the place is very nice, clean, spacious and pleasant, and the beers we had were delicious and the food, it definitely hit the spot, it was just what we needed. We had: - Brunch Burger - Czech Dark Lager - Ca$h Crop Sweet Potato Brown Ale

We went during Ashevilles restaurant week and got the special which was a burger and a beer! This was our second time there and we loved it the first time! We actually got a beer flight of all the IPA's that they offer. We enjoyed that and really liked 2 of them. We got the brisket nachos for an appetizer. I enjoyed the chips. I am not a brisket fan though & ate around it. The burger was pretty good and I was happy that I got to pick okra to go on the side! The burger was definitely unique with feta cheese and the arugula was very fresh and tasty. The restaurant was really clean. The staff was really friendly as well. It was snowing outside the day we went and it was kinda chilly inside the restaurant but we were sitting by the window.

I came here for a private event and a fun time was had by all! We pulled into the parking lot and there was ample parking. When we first walked in, we were immediately greeted by a staff member. She oriented us to the brewery and later got us set-up for mini golf. She was a hoot and served up a little extra mini-golfing pizazz for luck! Our event was hosted in the patio area, which was covered and had heat lamps to keep us warm on a brisk fall evening. Staff was excellent all around. They were friendly and quick to serve drinks. There are two different bars to get service so that you're not queuing too long during busy times. They also have a small water station near the mini golf sign-up/gift shop area. The catered barbecue served at the event was delicious and showcased some good Carolina BBQ - pulled pork, beef brisket, smoked chicken, and all the sides - coleslaw, salad, Mac and cheese, and potato salad. The smoked brisket eggroll dip with tortilla chips was my favorite! The dip was creamy, cheesy, and had melt-in-your mouth brisket. The only things missing were rolls and some Carolina BBQ sauce... crazy enough, they only had tomato BBQ sauce and mustard BBQ sauce. Staff did an excellent job of checking on food levels, refilling them as needed, and cleaning up the space when the event ended. They have two mini golf courses here - both 18 holes. We chose the fun/cutesy/easy course which was decorated with Halloween decorations. Each hole has a small rack to hold your drinks while you putt. Since we went with the easier course, the holes did seem a little basic and not very dynamic or exciting (every hole had a par of 2), but this is a brewery with a side of mini golf, not a mini golf place with a side of brewery. When you take that into account, having two 18-hole courses is impressive (regardless of complexity). Salt Face Mule Brewing is a fun hang out spot to check out in Asheville!

Came to Salt Faced Mule to check out their food and beer. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were friendly and offered samples and suggestions. Decided to order the chicken sandwich special (grilled or fried) with fries and a pint for $16. Beers were very good and both chicken sandwiches were tasty. The only thing off for me was the vibe, felt a bit more like a game/activity place that happened to have a brewery as the two mini golf courses and some other game options available. For me I might come back for the food and beer but not if I wanted to hang out for a while.

First time visit. You can enter and order food, pay for mini golf, and start a tab. Or you sit at the bar and do the same thing. Plenty of tables to choose from. A few TVs but not a sports bar. 2 mini golf courses in the back and bocce ball lawns as well. 14 beers on tap ranging from a few IPAs, German styles, Czech Strong Ales, and ESB. Maibock was my favorite. Decent selection of appetizers with smoky brisket on both nachos and eggrolls. Both delicious. Staff is friendly and attentive and we were lucky to meet and chat with the brewer. I have visited over 80 breweries across US and looking forward to returning. Cool vibe focused more on having and pint and chatting with others.

Very impressed with this place. Vibe was cool and laid back! Heirloom tomato salad was excellent and cucumber sandwich...take me back to my younger days at Grandmas!! Service was quick and efficient. Definitely try their Seltzers!

Service and ambiance worked out well. I got a burger on a GF bun without cheese and with lettuce, tomato, pickles, mushrooms and way-back sauce, along with fries covered in BBQ seasoning. The burger was highly moist and the bun was the perfect warmth. The other ingredients worked nicely. The fries were not only perfectly crispy, but seasoned to perfection. Overall, one of the best burger-fry meals I've ever had.

Lot's of eclectic spice and vegetable beers, but the pairings are generally interesting and well done. They also have a few more traditional beer styles, if that's what you're in the mood for. The space is also very nicely done. Plenty of room at the bar. A somewhat dark and muted color tone that created the feel of a slightly rustic and understated space. I liked it. In terms of food, I ordered a mediterranean bowl and was pretty happy with it. Reasonably well presented. Some evidence of investing effort in creating an individualized concept. The ingredients were also very fresh. The toppings also fell within a reasonable balance. It wasn't overwhelming. It wasn't the best salad of this type that I've had, but it made for something crisp and fresh to pair with a pint. All that having been said, my suggestion would be to go for the beer. If you want to order food alongside your beer, that's secondary.

Almost every beer on the menu is a split batch fermented with two different yeast strains to showcase the resulting differences. It's a great concept, even if you're not into brewing. In terms of the food, it seems like the really leaned into providing something good, well-balanced, and sometimes takes advantage of the yeast and beer being cultivated on site. I had a house salad and some dilly beans for lunch. The house salad was fresh and extremely well balanced. I'm glad they had something vegetable centric available. The dilly beans were good, but quite a bit for a single human. They're probably the type of thing you would want to split among friends. I actually showed up for an event in the evening where they served pizza using dough fermented with one of their yeast strains. That was truly excellent. Nicely balanced, not over the top, with a deeply flavorful crust. If you're in Asheville, I would consider this a must visit destination.

A pint of the "American Style Lager" for me and their "Spicy!" ginger beer that Mrs. K. said was good but not all that spicy. Less than ten minutes later, my chicken wings arrived. They sell them as "a pound" which was good because these were very small wings. Small, but tasty in a sweet/spicy sauce and I ate nearly all of them while slowly sipping that very crushable beer.
