    Sitting upstairs. Lovely pub atmosphere.

I am visiting my best friend in Vermont this weekend. Tonight we were wandering about and came across this lovely gem. Their corned beef poutin really hit the spot for me and my friend loved her Rueben and fries. Out server was very friendly and the atmosphere fun and inviting, like a neighborhood hangout. But, if you aren't in the mood for a pub atmosphere, downstairs they offer dining in a more formal restaurant environment. Something for everyone. I will most definitely return.

Bangers and mash was really good. My friends said the pot roast and steak sandwich were also great. Live music. One of the more interesting places in the region. Irish style pub with a kick.

The Fish & Chips was outstanding

This was a very pleasant experience. We came over here with a long time friend for a late lunch, and we were not disappointed. I had, perhaps, one of the best chicken barbecue salads I've had in a long time. In addition to that, There early afternoon beer selections are super. I had the harpoon IPAA which was exquisitely well paired for the rather spicy chicken salad My other guest at a sumptuous burger and exquisite french fries. We were also able to sit up stairs, which we never get to do. The upstairs of the salt hill pub is very welcoming, clean, and almost cozy. Service was also very good.

What really made the visit for me was the service. Our server (I wish I remembered her name) was very friendly, helpful with making suggestions for a picky grandchild (she was very happy with her meal, thanks to the server!) and she was very personable, making us feel welcome and not rushed in the least. The only negative I can report, and the reason for 4 stars instead of five was the amount of room at the table; for two adults and three children it was a bit tight but our server did her best with clearing unused items so that we were able to use the little space we did have. Thank you for being a part of our successful "date night" with the grandchildren. :)

There are a few things that I need to address: first, I was there on St. Patrick's Day with my…read moremom. We were seated at a table and the waitress brought us our first drink. After that, we were told that we had to go to the bar to order any additional drinks, after waiting over 1/2 hour for our waitress to come back to our table. We ordered the corned beef dinner, only to get a stew-like dinner that had so much fat in it. So much for $19 spent on each of the two dinners. I liked going to this establishment because it's so close to my house, but why should my bill be almost $100 for two frozen food dinners and margaritas that are not even made correctly? Sour mix is NOT an ingredient in margaritas. The final straw was tonight when I took my mom in for dinner and drinks. When I asked Erica for my tab, she brought over my check and told me that because I was paying with a card, I had to go to the bar to use the machine, even though the device is designed to be portable (taken to a table for the patron to pay the bill). The food is way overpriced for frozen stuff that I could make at home, the drinks are not fresh and made properly, and the guest should not have to go to the bar to settle the bill. What really kills me is that there is a photo of John Taffer from Bar Rescue hanging on the wall with the owner of this establishment, but quite obviously, the "owner" just doesn't care about the quality of products being delivered to his guests, nor guest hospitality. The booth seats are in bad repair and quite uncomfortable. You have definitely lost me as a customer in your establishment.
