Dropped into Salt on a random off-season day and was pleasantly surprised! It's located inside the gorgeous Hotel LBI, and the décor alone is worth stopping in for... coastal chic with a touch of elegance, from the grand chandelier in the lobby to the cozy yet upscale Living Room lounge area. We started with oysters..fresh, briny, and perfectly chilled and the tuna tartare stacked over creamy avocado with crisp taro chips, which was a standout. My lobster pasta was rich and flavorful, though the noodles were a bit more al dente than I usually prefer. My date went for the short rib, which was melt-in-your-mouth tender over a smooth carrot purée. Everything was beautifully presented and clearly made with care. It's definitely on the pricier side, but the quality, service, and overall experience make it worth it. Service was warm and attentive without being overbearing, and the whole atmosphere felt relaxed yet refined. Whether you're staying at the hotel or just in the area, Salt is a great pick for a nice night out on LBI especially if you want elevated seafood and a setting that feels special.

What a wonderful dinner in The Hotel LBI. Atmosphere was great and Rooftop bar was an added bonus. Service was excellent and the waitress was on top of everything. Food was delicious, highly recommend any seafood on the menu and Filet mignon. All in all ,a great night out.

We had a delicious dinner at Salt Kitchen & Bar to celebrate a friend's birthday, and the experience was lovely. The bread service was unexpectedly phenomenal the rolls were warm, fresh, and honestly one of my favorite parts of the meal. We started with a charcuterie board, which was just okay--not bad, but nothing special. On the other hand, the burrata we shared was excellent. The heirloom tomatoes were so fresh, and the drizzle of balsamic brought everything together beautifully. For my main, I ordered the salmon, and it was cooked perfectly: crispy on the outside, soft and tender inside. The rice that came with it was surprisingly flavorful, and I couldn't stop eating it. We also ordered the truffle fingerling potatoes on the side, and they were absolutely heavenly: crispy, rich, and totally addictive.

Beautiful, open beachy indoor and outdoor dining. Blue and white decor throughout. Friendly and attentive service. Cocktails were good , we had a lemon cello spritz and a Hugo spritz. For all we tried the Greek spreads. Better than expected. It came with sickly sliced cucumbers and pita and hummus that was top of tabouli that had a sprinkle of pomegranate seeds on top and a decent amount of olives. It was very light and refreshing. We had three entrées one was the chicken dish one was the halibut and one was the cod. Every dish was delicious. We didn't save room for dessert maybe next time I recommend this place for a nice dinner.

Gorgeous restaurant with great food. Recommend sitting on the roof for sunset. Seafood tower was amazing but definitely overpriced. French onion pizza was honestly the most unique standout dish but we also ordered the veggie pizza and the sausage and those were great too. The lychee margaritas are also a fantastic choice.

As if Hotel LBI couldn't get any more alluring, this coastal chic restaurant inside is top notch. The ambience is light, airy and refreshing. The signature cocktails and oysters are divine and the fresh seafood offerings are fabulous. I tried halibut -- for the first time might I add -- and it was incredible! A fresh summer salad, fingerling potatoes, and the filet topped with a Dijon cream sauce: devoured in under 5 minutes. My girlfriends ordered the salmon dish with a romesco sauce and bed of rice which was another excellent summer dish.

Extremely disappointing experience. The only thing we liked about this restaurant was the atmosphere and the decor. One downside was we could hear music from the ballroom that was planning for a wedding. The service was very slow and scattered. We told the server that we did not like the ceviche that was on special and his response was "oh but you like everything else"? And then he just walked away. We order two glasses of the same wine but they came out in different wine glasses, with different amounts. Our filet was over cooked, lacked flavor, and was a low quality of meat. The only item we liked was the burrata and the crab cake that came on out steak (the crab cake was an additional $35 to add it to the steak). Would not recommend- you will pay very high prices for VERY below average food.

This place is an absolute gem of LBI! Located inside of the gorgeous Hotel LBI, valet is complimentary for those dining at the restaurant. The service was very good, and I loved that they offered seasonal specials. We really enjoyed the fresh burrata appetizer as well as the chicken and halibut entrees. Overall, a really nice, upscale dining experience. Reservations recommended.

Saw a few Strongly negative reviews on this Restaurant in the LBI Hotel in Surf City, NJ. But must say had a 6:30 dinner reservation for 5 with a baby also and was happy to say the experience was excellent, from being greeted by the valet, to leaving . Our waiter Matt was fantastic, drinks were perfect, food very good, will agree with other comments that it was a little overpriced, but it's a summer vacation spot so I can see the prices. Our table had the strip steak, Halibut, crab cake. No dessert. I thought it was 5 star service. Sorry to see some reviews were not happy. Ambiance was nice lots of big Windows so bright without being to much , but Great big bar area, not noisy as stated by others but we did leave by 8 pm. Our visit was on 8/6/24

    Kids Mac and cheese

I used to love this place but the prices are truly out of line with reality. $229 dollars for a bottle of champagne that costs no more than $60 dollars at the store. In NYC, the price is never more than $150.

At that point it was a small restaurant, BYOB, but it was immediately apparent that real gourmet food had finally arrived on LBI. (I still remember their version of shrimp and grits from that time.) We no longer had to put up with the prevailing surf and turf that we had unfortunately become accustomed to. Since then they've moved to their current, much bigger space and have created a beautiful, vibrant, inside-ourside restaurant that still serves excellent food (their lumache is terrific--we try not to order it every time) and has expanded to include pizzas--thin crust and very tasty; every one we've tried has been delicious. So we would definitely recommend Black Eyed Susans. The staff is welcoming, friendly, well trained. This is now a big, beautiful destination restaurant. The pizzas and beer lower the price point.

This was very relaxing and I truly felt like I was transported to a resort. They do a great job of creating a little outdoor oasis. Once we were seated, we literally wanted to order the entire menu. Everything sounded outstanding that it was hard to choose. We settled on the seared tuna and a pizza as our apps. We also did indulge in an order of homemade sourdough because when in Rome! The pizza was by far my favorite. The crust was so thin and so crispy. You could tell all the ingredients were very fresh and the dough was perfect. For our mains, my fiancé had the swordfish special and I went with a crab cake. I love that I was able to get a single order instead of a double. It was the perfect amount of food after all the apps. We agreed the swordfish was outstanding. So moist and not dry whatsoever like it sometimes can be. The real highlight of the meals for me was the homemade soft serve. As a huge ice cream stan, this was the perfect ending to my meal.

They said we could either leave the stroller on the porch or sit outside, so we chose to sit outside. It was a nice day anyways and they have umbrellas over the tables for shade. I did think it was weird that no strollers are allowed. Haven't seen that before and it didn't feel very baby-friendly. Overall, I'd still recommend LBI table.
