Popped in for an iced latte, I regret not bringing my laptop or a book to stay awhile. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cozy interior and plenty of space to hang out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I really loved my coffee and the baristas were super kind.

I've given this place a shot a few times now thinking it'd be better the next time I come in but I keep getting disappointed! The chai I got last time didn't have much of a taste. This time around, I ordered a pistachio matcha with almond milk to-go. They accidentally made my drink with oat milk but re-made my order which I appreciated. Upon picking up the drink, it felt pretty light. I couldn't drink it right away but by the time I did, most of the foam had settled and left a big gap at the top of the cup. The drink itself was more on the bitter side and was very clumpy, especially towards the end. I ended up paying more than $10 with tip. For my drink to be missing that much milk and with large clumps of matcha, it was not worth the price.

Got a pistachio matcha and a Banana latte... both were diabolically amazing. That matcha... so creamy, perfect amount of pistachio flavor but also not too sweet. The latte was strong and also not too sweet. So yum town. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Vibes - 10/10.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Baristas - 10/10. Drinks - 100/10

You can get 1 free bag of coffee beans after buying 9 bags. If I'm not mistaken.

As a home coffee drinker from Indonesia, I have tried many coffee beans from various locations and coffee roasters throughout the country. I have also tried some coffee shops near downtown SLC. Salt Lake Roasting Co. is different. They offer a vast selection of beans from Africa, Asia, my country, Indonesia, and South America. This is an advantage because you can try to find varieties of coffee from around the world and mix them. Tips for coffee drinkers: 1. Identify your preference: Do you like bold coffee or fruity? Or, like me, 60% bold and 40% fruity? 2. Ask the barista which matches your preferences, or you can mix your favorites. 3. Buy pour-over coffee and ask to use 50% Brazil/Sumatra for a bold taste, and 50% Ethiopia/Peru/Any fruity beans to add a fruity taste. You can mix anything you want and match any ingredients to create So my point is, drinking coffee doesn't mean you need to drink what the barista serves. At Salt Lake Roasting Co., you can have an adventure of taste. Tips for Home Coffee Brewer: Consult with John, the owner. Ask about your preferences. He is like a doctor who can recommend the perfect beans for you. He is a fantastic guy. I think I like Ethiopia more than Bali, but he highly recommended that I should try Bali Natural. So, I trusted him and bought it, then brewed it at home. He also gave me a small amount of Ethiopian beans to test it. And he is right! I really like Bali Natural compared to Ethiopian beans. (This is personal preference.) Bali Natural has a fruity taste, similar to the Bali Kintamani I usually drink in Indonesia. He roasted it well. He is a genius! You can also get free beans after buying 9 times, if I'm not mistaken.

Here to get a sweet treat for my mom's birthday, this was her choice and It was a great option. We both opted for a honey lavender latte and a couple of their pastries. The barista/cashier was amazing. He was so friendly, warm, and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place had a great atmosphere and the vibe was very mellow and relaxing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had cozy seating, games, and plenty of places to have a cup of coffee with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely be back!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Salt Lake Roasting Co is a cozy place for a cup coffee and light work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Would be a great place to bring a friend![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I am studying for exams and would not specifically recommend this location for focused study or deep work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is tight quarters and an easy place to get distracted.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Food quality/flavor was great. Coffee experience possibilities are the best. A truly unique experience. Gets a little expensive but worth it.

    Honeybee latte & coffee beans!!

The place was easy to find. I liked that they had their own parking area. The Honeybee latte was one of their specialty drinks for the season so I opted to try the hot version of the drink. Despite it's name, it doesn't taste too sweet, its sweetness was just right. It had lavender notes & a hint of cinnamon.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Super cute place, seems big and has lots of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Typically busy tho and you have to search for a spot sometimes![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I come here to work and it's a good environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place to order being in the center of everything with people sitting right behind you kinda scares me when I don't know what I want haha.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Only gotten some flavored lattes here but it's yummy!

    Tamales
    Isabella F.

I recently came here with a friend and absolutely loved my cappuccino. My friend also got a latte and loved her drink as well. I noticed they were offering tamales when I was there and we just had to try them. I haven't noticed that before when I've come to study and grab a drink. However this time they had them and they came with an assortment of sauces that tasted amazing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]As always the service and ambience here is great and they offer a wide variety of coffee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is also a great study atmosphere and they offer tasty pastries as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It has been years since I've been to Salt Lake Roasting. The last time I was there was when they were in the old location closer to downtown and 400s. I stopped by here on my way to work one morning. I loved seeing how open and bright this place was, and it still had the upstairs seating, as previously. The staff was super nice and helpful in helping me decide what to order for foods. I tried their salted caramel latter and some chicken empanadas. Everything was delicious! The empanadas were super hot and fresh! I loved the flavors of the sauce that came with it too! Oh and I love when places have live plants, especially massive aloe plants in the windows! :)

When I'm around this area, I like stopping by to grab a cold brew, a great variety of single-origin coffees, quick service, and great pastries. It's such a cool place to hang out and do some work, as they have plenty of seating. On the 2nd floor, you get a view of the place.

    Roaster and cool neon sign

Great and quick service even though it was packed on a Saturday morning. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is so cute inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love that you can see one of the roasters front and center.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Huge fan of the neon signs inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I appreciate the outdoor seating surrounded by flowers and hummingbird visitors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the cold brew and felt so pampered with the cold brew ice cubes so that it doesn't get watered down. Immense amount of parking which I appreciated. Looking forward to coming back again.

The man working was polite and friendly, but the woman working was not. She literally said, "What do you want me to do about it?" No apology, nothing. There's a great window in front, but it's partially blocked with a flag. There's no wifi. The coffee was delicious, though. I saw they were selling Heart beans, so I'm guessing that's what they use. It was close to where I was staying, so I went in again, this time with my own cup. There, seated in the front with a cup of coffee, gifted to him I'm guessing, was a homeless man having a psychotic episode. Yes, there's oppression in the world, and it feels insensitive to write this, but I'd just like a quiet place to sip coffee and look out the window. I don't want to pay a place to have to deal with that. I'm all good with people being real, but if I'm paying for the privilege, I'm a lot less understanding. Customers should come first in a business.
