Saltgrass is a quintessential steakhouse experience. The ambiance was professional while also having fun decor and Western themes. Service was prompt and friendly, never had to wait on anything. The ribeye had a great char flavor and was definitely high quality (tender, very little gristle) + cooked to perfection. The bacon appetizer was also solid, definitely a carnivores dream. Overall great experience and somewhere I would plan on coming back to.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the grilled chicken breast -- tender, and juicy with lots of flavors from the rub. The salad was also fresh and tasty. For a chain the food was really good. The place is popular as well and on a recent Sunday, it was hard to find a seat, other than the bar. The service was friendly, helpful and pleasant. However, I must state, the place is very large and very loud. There are several large screen Televisions, if you can't miss your sports.

All in all not a bad place. My steak and shrimp came out perfectly cooked. My wife's ribs were good, with meat falling the bone. My smoked mac n cheese was watery and not served hot. They replaced it and the second one was much better. The biggest issue was the manager going into a big story blaming corporate for making things difficult! I don't care. We had a saying in the military: "I don't want to hear about the labor pains, just show me the baby!" Haha. Anyhow, our waitresses, Ashlin, was awesome.

Our server was Breanna, really nice and friendly and the supporting staff as well. Food was excellent and management was on top of things. We appreciate the hospitality especially on the last and busiest day of the year. We will be coming back for sure

Inundated with numerous Big Texan steak challenge billboards but opted for Saltgrass instead. So pleased we did as this was a refreshing respite from a long road trip. Super friendly staff, helpful with tons of suggestions. Food was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. Relaxed casual atmosphere with plenty of tables to accommodate larger parties. Will definitely revisit this location when traveling through Amarillo.

I love coming to Saltgrass and this visit was terrific! The service was excellent--our server was attentive and friendly--and the food was absolutely on point. Always a great experience here, and I'll definitely be back.

My sister and fam ate here a few years ago on a trip just before Covid hit, loved it, so it was picked for dinner replenishment on our way southwest. Delicious Fried Pickles app. The light breading was awesome and had a tad spice/some heat - just a tad - and fit the role great; good dill ranch dipping sauce, too! I ordered their Chicken Laredo dish, but the side salad filled me up, so this dish was breakfast the next day. I thought the dish had waaaaaay too much spice/heat, I wasn't able to taste anything distinguishing, which is a huge turnoff for me. Most of it went in the trash.

Food was good and the service was excellent. Ambiance was typical bar/steakhouse. The noise from small children was the ambiance spoiler.

I was visiting Amarillo for about a…read moreweek to spend time with my girlfriend and her family in her hometown, and I wanted to treat her to a nice dinner. She suggested a few places, but she heavily emphasized Public House as the restaurant to take her to. We had a reservation at 7:15 pm on a Friday and arrived just a few minutes early. They were very busy and we had to wait an additional 15 minutes to get seated. The waitstaff was super apologetic, but it was also college graduation night for some, so it was simply very busy. We were seated in their main dining room, though the reservation had options for their lounge and their bar as well. Our waitress came by with a carafe of water and gave us their drink menu. For starters, I ordered a Blue Bumble Bee and my girlfriend ordered the Harvest Martini. It was very fruity and herbal. Their cocktails ranged between $11 and $15. They also had an extensive draft list available on Untappd and plenty of wine options. As an appetizer, my girlfriend really wanted their Fried Cheese Curds, which she described as amazing. They were served with ranch and a raspberry habanero jelly that was very good. The fruity sweetness hits first, with the habanero flavor coming in on the back end and sneaking up on you. The curds themselves were excellent. They were perfect to share for two, but I think they would be unsatisfying for more than three. We both ordered a side Caesar salad made with their house Caesar dressing, parmesan chips, croutons, and parmesan cheese. You can always taste a fresh salad and this was proof of that. I liked it a lot and ate the entire thing. For our main entrees, my girlfriend ordered the Lamb Lollipop Chops. They are listed as an appetizer, but the four lamb chops were filling enough for her. I ordered the special of the day, a Beef Wellington served with seasonal vegetables of chopped sweet potatoes and asparagus. The Wellington also came with mashed potatoes. It was recommended medium rare, which is how I ordered it. I thought it was really delicious. I am still thinking about how doughy and flavorful it was, especially with the prosciutto. Our waitress mentioned they had sold out of it every night for the past few nights. Both the Lamb Chops and the Beef Wellington were market price. Everyone acts gangster until those MKT prices turn into $45 for an entrée. I am usually the one ordering something cheaper than my girlfriend so I can jokingly say she is expensive, but when her entrée was $29 and mine was $45, I could only clown myself. All of this still came in under $180 before tip, and there were plenty of more affordable options on the menu. Two standard entrees, two salads, an appetizer, and two drinks could easily keep your bill under $100 before tip, which makes Public House approachable for a nice night out. If you thought we were done, you would be surprised. For dessert, we debated between their crème brûlée special with strawberries and their Ooey Gooey Butter Cake. When we asked our waitress, she immediately recommended the Ooey Gooey Butter Cake with no hesitation, so that is what we ordered. I had never had one before and was impressed by its flavor. It was served with plenty of whipped cream and reminded me of fried cheesecake in terms of texture. Side note, my girlfriend told me the ooey gooey part of its name refers to the type of butter cake and is not just a silly name, so I will continue to refer to it by its full name out of respect. We also ordered dessert cocktails, with both of us choosing the Kevin McAllister, which was described as an adult apple juice. It was made with a house made caramel infused vodka that was excellent. It truly lived up to the description and paired well with the dessert. I would definitely return to Public House the next time I am back in Amarillo. It was a fantastic dinner to share with someone I love. The staff were attentive and on point, and once we were seated everything moved efficiently despite the short wait. As we walked out of the restaurant, I took a picture of my beautiful girlfriend in front of the Public House sign. A couple asked if we wanted our picture taken. I said, "No, I just wanted to admire her for a moment." After a good meal with the one you love, that is sometimes all you need. RIYL: treating that someone special to a good meal in Amarillo, Texas

Well, that was us today -- and Bubba's 33 absolutely delivered. My husband ordered the smash burger, and I got the New England-style fish and chips, plus a full order of their hand-breaded, hand-cut onion rings that are honestly to die for. We picked everything up just 15 minutes after ordering, and every single item tasted like it had just come straight from the kitchen to our table. The onion rings were perfectly crispy with that fresh-from-the-fryer crunch and flavor. The fish had that classic crunchy beer batter on the outside while still being flaky and tender inside, and the garlic mashed potatoes were clearly homemade with just the right amount of garlic. Now let's talk about the smash burger... it was HUGE. Seriously, it could feed three people. My husband practically inhaled it before I could even take a picture! What really impressed me wasn't just the portion sizes -- it was the attention to detail. The onion rings were packaged separately so they stayed crisp, and the savory Bubba's 33 sauce paired perfectly with them. We each ate several onion rings and STILL had leftovers. Even the side salad was incredibly fresh. I'm obsessed with those little crispy potato straws on top, and the homemade ranch is the perfect finishing touch. Honestly, it was refreshing to order takeout and not have a single issue. Nothing missing, nothing cold, nothing soggy or stale -- just an exceptional meal from start to finish. Huge shoutout to the cooking staff and online order prep team at Bubba's 33. You all absolutely crushed it tonight. We will definitely be ordering again and again!
