We had the most delightful lunch today at Saltgrass. Our server, Mercedes was a delight! She was personable and attentive and catered to our every whim. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant was perfect. We were first greeted by Michael who supplied with water and bread. (The bread here is fantastic We were also visited by a manager (name?) acknowledging our Landry club membership (which i recommend). Finally, we would just like to highlight the lovely Mercedes. She went above and beyond to deliver a special experience and for my husband and I. The value for the money was excellent. The steaks we enjoyed were juicy and flavorful. We came in on Easter and had a really great experience from start to finish. Even with it being a holiday, we were seated immediately, which was a pleasant surprise and set the tone for the rest of the meal. We were greeted right away, and the service stayed consistently friendly and attentive throughout without ever feeling rushed. The bread and butter alone is worth mentioning. It was fresh, warm, and incredibly good, and definitely held us over while they took the time to cook our meal properly. We both ordered steaks, and they were excellent. High quality, cooked just right, and full of flavor. You can really tell they focus on doing things the right way rather than rushing food out. Another big plus for us is the location. It is very close to our home, making it an easy and reliable option when we are craving a well prepared, home style meal in a comfortable setting. Overall, it checked all the boxes. We went here on a Saturday evening, so it was pretty packed. The wait was 45 minutes but we found seats at the bar within 15 after a couple left. The service at the bar was very disorganized. Seemed like they weren't used to dealing with it being so busy. We ordered a frozen jack and coke and a pomegranate mojito. The frozen drink was good, but the mojito was underwhelming. For food, we ordered an appetizer, the range rattlers. They were decent. I would order them again. The redfish dish lacked flavor and so did the brussels sprouts. The chicken fried chicken and baked potato were just okay, nothing to brag about. I definitely wouldn't return to this restaurant but it seems to be in a small town or something so I can see why the locals probably like it. But I prefer seasoned food. read more

Service was really good. Baked potato soup was delicious as always. We sat outside on the lovely patio. The patty melt during lunch was yummy and I absolutely loved the sweet potato fries. The only downside was my drink. I've had excellent cocktails from this location before but there must not have been an experienced bartender this time as I was not given the drink described. Sad. My son heads off to a college internship tomorrow so he decided on Saltgrass tonight for dinner. Julio was our waiter this evening and he was wonderful. He was attentive, personable and provided a delicious food recommendation that I ordered for my entree. We have been here a couple other times and service has always been complimentary. Not the same as we remember. Started out adding butter to the bread. A hair was sticking out of the butter on my knife. The waiter was polite and brought new bread and butter but in the back of my mind it's likely from the same batch, right? My wife ordered steak medallions and a side of mashed potatoes. She ask the waiter to make sure the potatoes were hot. He said of course. The meals came out and the potatoes were cold. Verified by the back of my finger, absolutely no heat. they took it back to microwave I suppose. Now I'm eating and she has no meal. It came back fairly quickly with what looked like a different scoop of potatoes. Cutting into the steak she immediately said it was Luke warm at best too. She returned the plate and we shared the burger and fries which was ok. We have had repeat experiences there and we are happy not to return again. They use to be solid. I try not to spend a great deal of time, commenting on chain restaurants not because I have a particular bias, but I really enjoy the individual entrepreneurship of a solo operation. But, I would be doing a disservice to my fellow yelpers if I did not mention this particular salt grass steakhouse in Fulshear. Not only as the food quite dependable, and the servings rather generous and quite good with steak done precisely to my order which now on four or five occasions has been right on point, but the service is absolutely phenomenal and very, very dependable. Not only the servers, but the bus staff and the managers dropping by to check on how your experience is, is a very pleasant experience. The ambience is always lovely predictable dependable, but quite lovely as I say I would be doing a disservice if I did not mention how good this particular salt grass steakhouse is and well worth visiting if you're in Fulshear, TX. read more

This place is very inconsistent. They don't check to go orders, so expect to be missing entrees & sides, or have damaged food items after condiments spill everywhere. Sandwiches are missing vegetables, entire dessert order missing, they just don't seem to care. Definitely check your order before leaving. read more

Went to the Fulshear Saltgrass today and had one of the best steaks I've had in years. It was the 9oz filet that was cooked to perfection. Absolutely one of the most tender steaks I've ever had and I've eaten at just about every high end, expensive steakhouse in Houston. I was not expecting that from a $36 steak at a chain restaurant. My fiancé and I showed up at 6:16 pm and were told there was a 15 minute wait. We got a text our table was ready at 7:18 pm. Ok. It is is what it is, they were busy. But after waiting an hour we finally got the text our table was ready. We went to the host stand and gave our name. We were told "to walk to the back of the restaurant and seat ourselves in the back bar area". So we walk ourselves back there and see an open high top table. Mind you no hostess sat us, no menu, no silverware. Then the bartender at the back bar said we can't sit there, the table may be for another party. The hostess seats people there. I'm like ????? We were on the waitlist for an hour and were told to walk ourselves back here to eat. She said well you can sit at the back bar. So we do. Then I get 2 MORE text messages saying our table is ready. THEN THEY CALL ME. I'm like this is ridiculous!! So you're telling me we got a text the table was ready and then were basically shooed to the back bar and then you call me to tell me you have a table ready if we want it but it's in the cocktail area. I declined and we had our meal sitting at the back bar. The entire experience with the hostesses and their in organization was absolutely terrible. read more

We had a gift card from Christmas and some Birthday rewards on our LSC, so met some friends out by their house at the Fulshear location. I like this one better than the others, its more quaint, feels less chain-like, and more homey. There was a solo artist playing covers of hits on the patio (everything from the 70's-now, and takes request), he wasn't overly loud so we could hear and carry on a conversation. Staff is nice and pleasant We started with Range Rattlers Poppers - these are spicy, but sooooo good! And no cream cheese, its pepper jack, which my husband's lactose-intolerance can handle without misery. They have the ShinerBock bread, which to me is unique but just ok, and I do love bread! Also started with a Grilled Pineapple Margarita. Not everything I was hoping for, but I drove so was stopping after one anyways. I ordered the Blackened Redfish which was really good with a side of green beans. The Crab and Shrimp on top gave it the perfect "sauce" alternative and kept it moist, only thing i would change is to chop up the tomato smaller. I had some pretty big chunks and they were kind of smoosh, not firm, which through the texture off. My kid had the cheese pizza off the kids menu (we warned him but he was craving pizza) and he said it was a 4/10. It didn't look great, but he ordered some french fries to make up for it. My husband got the Urban Cowboy and seemed content. There's a small play yard at this one with some corn hole boards. Plenty of OUTSIDE waiting space, like practically NO indoor waiting area. Parking could be tight, but it backs up to housing so potentially street parking available. There is a small bar area right when you walk in, but the 2x Ive been here it's usually full. I feel like this is a much smaller location than the ones on the major freeways, but thats kind of why I like it better. read more
