It's a small and quaint (not exactly everything is bigger in Texas) location but we've had so many great meals here over the years! The quality control and management at this location is always on point! We usually like to be served by David if he is there, but this past Father's Day we were served by Bree who was a breeze of fresh and delightful air! She was not only so sweet and kind but an excellent server taking care of us and the tables around us. I have driven past this place for years and finally decided to try a Salt Grass! I was slightly confused by the back entrance. Also, they have you go through the kitchen to the front. I wasn't sure if I needed to put gloves on. lol. Anyhow, we ended up in the banquet hall. Our waiter provided excellent service as he checked on us frequently. Our food was out in a good amount of time. We were provided with recommendations from the menu. I opted for the lunch special which was the steak and potato. My happy hour drink was ok! A Cosmo. Came here for their Houston restaurants weeks menu as it was a great deal, 4 courses for $39! We decided to split an order, 1st course was a house salad which was so refreshing and had tasty crunchy croutons in it. Second course was shrimp cocktail which was delish with a lil heat to jump start your palate. 3rd course was a sirloin steak with grilled shrimp. Steak was cooked to perfection, and the grilled shrimp was seasoned and grilled just right. 4th course was a cheesecake served with strawberry compote and White chocolate sauce. So, we came here on a Thursday with very big appetites paired with a good amount of excitement to end our family day with a warm, affordable meal. Unfortunately, that excitement gradually dwindled as we left Salt Grass disappointed and annoyed. Upon our arrival, we had a little wait, which we were beyond understanding of. However, once we were seated and our waiter essentially forgot about our table, the annoyance levels rose. It took our waiter over 15 to 20 minutes to come back to our table. Additionally, the prompting that alerted our waiter to come back to our table was initiated after we had to ask another waiter to take our orders as our drink order had not yet been taken and our waiter had not yet come back to check on our table. After our drink orders were finally taking via another waiter, one of our drinks then came back wrong, which added disappointment to the annoyance. Then there was our food. My sister's steak came back undercooked and my steak was just not appetizing. Overall, this was a very poor experience, one that plants a seed to avoid this Salt Grass. read more

We started at the bar, and while it did take the bartender a few minutes to acknowledge us, once she did, the service was fine for the rest of the evening--nothing standout, but nothing terrible either. The ambiance was relaxed and comfortable. It had a casual steakhouse vibe that made it easy to unwind and enjoy conversation without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Definitely a laid-back setting. For dinner, she ordered the filet with mashed potatoes, and I had the bone-in ribeye with a baked potato. I went with the Caesar salad, while she chose the garden salad. I had a White Cosmopolitan, which was good, and she ordered a drink I can't quite remember--so it must've done its job . The star of the night was the steak. My ribeye was cooked exactly how I requested--medium well--and it was flavorful and satisfying. Overall, it was a solid first visit. Please give Lily and Alex raises! They made our time here so much better than a typical experience. Lily was the sweetest server I have ever experienced. She genuinely wanted us to have the best time ever and it showed. We gushed to manager Alex and he was not shocked how amazing a server she is. Alex runs this place like a machine. My experience at Saltgrass Steakhouse was unprofessional, unsafe, and downright hostile. I was picking up a DoorDash order with my two-year-old son. Because the pickup station is located inside the kitchen walkway (unsafe and crowded), I politely stepped outside and asked the staff to let me know when the order was ready. A man who appeared to be the manager (short blonde hair, beard, plaid shirt) was extremely rude and dismissive. He told me "no," I'd have to keep going inside myself, and then proceeded to scold his own employees for trying to help me. When the food was ready, he contradicted himself by bringing it out -- but instead of handing it over professionally, he snatched the bag back out of my hands after I had already confirmed in the DoorDash app. He demanded to see the address in a hostile manner, in front of my child, causing unnecessary stress for both of us. To make matters worse, the customer later messaged me that their food was unacceptable and even encouraged me to complain about the rude manager. This proves that the issue wasn't just my interaction -- the restaurant failed on multiple levels: customer service, food quality, and professionalism. This experience caused emotional distress, scared my child, and reflected terribly on Saltgrass. Both customers and delivery drivers deserve respect, safe conditions, and quality food. Unfortunately, Saltgrass failed on all counts. Saltgrass needs to train its management staff on respect, professionalism, and safety -- both for employees and for customers/drivers. I will be pursuing this matter further. read more

I can't say enough good things about our experience, as Sean (General Manager) and his team have always provided wonderful service...from event scheduling and menu selection to flow/layout to IT support. We dined in the back building which was quiet and not crowded; it was a little more space for our kids to be kids without us feeling like we were disturbing people. First let me start by saying l love Saltgrass and have been a customer for many years...I like the fact that all locations have the same consistency of service and quality of food. This particular location has a tiny parking lot but no worries as across the street is the Cadillac Bar (also part of Landry's) and there is a huge shared lot for both. I was lucky enough to of found an open spot at the restaurant. There was 3 of us and we all ordered different dishes (not steak lol) Fried Mac and cheese app then chicken fried steak, pork ribs and I ordered the double cut bone in pork chop along with flash fried green beans and wedge salad...those two are my go to sides every time!! Not to busy but wait time was a little longer then expected but not to long. All food came out hot and fresh and looked as good as it tasted. I normally order a steak but today the pork chop called my name when looking at menu. It's not my normal location but would return for sure next time I'm in the area. I suggest you sign up for the Laundry's select club rewards program.. $25 to sign up but they give you a $25 credit for your next visit. You get a point per dollar spent and every 250 points you get $25 credit to use. there are a lot of restaurants under the Landry name so you can add up points fast...also for bday you get $25. read more
