I went for their "Crabster," a lobster roll with some crab and a special sauce. The price was $38, which I'd already expected, and I felt it was a pretty fair one-time splurge. The lobster was good--definitely a solid portion, though not the most life-changing bite I've ever had. It came with a side of potato chips, which.... eh. I got the Connecticut Lobster Roll and hubby got the Cajun Lobster Roll, both came with chips. First bite-- HEAVENLY!! The lobster was perfectly warm and buttered, and the roll it sat on was nicely toasted and slightly sweet. There was about a 30 minute wait until we got a text that our food was ready. Salty Jax Seafood is not a restaurant but a food truck, and part of a wonderful growing trend around the MS Gulf Coast. The easiest way to find them is to follow their Facebook page for locations, which vary weekly. Salty Jax is most famous for their lobster rolls, because few other places down here even offer such a thing. They are quite expensive (upper $20 range, depending on market price) but for obvious reasons since we don't have lobsters out in the Gulf. I always go with the Cajun roll because it is doused in garlic butter for a wonderful kick of flavor. They recently advertised that you can now get lump crab meat added to your roll, and I can't wait to try it! You can also get extra lobster meat so you get a stacked lump of seafood. Be sure to grab some extra napkins because you'll need it. I've been to Maine twice and had plenty of lobster rolls up there, and Salty Jax can hang with the best of them. They give you a roll stuffed with meat and it is quite filling. The owners are local and super friendly, and I don't mind paying for this gourmet premium because of that. If lobster isn't your thing, I highly recommend their fried shrimp basket when they have it on the menu. It's some of the best fried shrimp I have had, and they are plump and crispy. This place legit! I had been wanting to get to their food truck for a while but could never time it right with their locations. Thankfully they've opened this location in the Crave food hall! I spent a couple of months in Bar Harbor, Maine and was able to try many lobster rolls while I was up there - Salty Jax is in line with, possibly even slightly above, the best lobster roll I had up there. I still have yet to try the crab roll because I can't get myself to order anything but the lobster roll when I go (which has already been 3 times since they opened a couple of months ago ). Came here because I had a lobster roll itch that needed a scratch, and in the South Coast of MS, this was the closest one I found compared to one in Perdido. The service was great, and the roll was packed with lobster. I tried making my own with lobster meat from Costco, and the price and service with Salty Jax is worth getting theirs over making your own. I tried two of them, the Cajun and the Connecticut, they were both outstanding but the Cajun takes the cake! Follow their social media to know where they will be serving. If you want lobster rolls and you're in the area of Biloxi, look no further. They also have limited drink options so you can support them by buying the canned colas or if you're particular with what you're going to be doing washing down your food with then byob! read more

Good amount of lobster which was juicy but not good taste. Had the Cajun and I didn't care to even finish it. Maybe if your Cajun don't do it. It was expensive like Maine prices too. Maybe they can do a normal one justice. Not sure I'm willing to give it another go. read more

Follow this food truck on IG or FB to see where they're posted at! This is the most lobster I have ever seen on a buttery toasted top-split hot dog bun. I prefer lobster shredded vs chunks. These people are great everything I've ever ordered was delicious! They don't skimp on the meat and there's nothing else around like them!

Talk about sheer pleasure. If you long to have the perfect coastal dining experience then you found the place! It is a wee pricy but only because people literally die catching lobsters so it checks out. I drove once in torrential rains to find this truck and frankly it's was worth the risk. I mean drive safely but you will never regret coming here. The lobster rolls are top notch and the bang bang tacos have become my obsession. I have such admiration for these true professionals! I've had lobsters rolls from many places around the US. But their Cajun roll is hands down the top. The shrimp tacos are also a 2nd favorite. I have yet to try the cold one yet. But the Cajun has Ton of flavor, and they do not skimp out on the meat like some other places. If your craving a bite out and about I would highly recommend checking them out.
