Our families all started arriving here on a Thursday evening and we highlighted the nightly tequila toast that is different each night.

I came here with my husband and son on a Friday night. Not too busy and they don't serve food but have a rotating food truck out in their parking lot. You'll see the sign for the taproom from the road and turn in. Continue all the way down past the shipping docks and you'll see the sign once you make a left. Decent amount of parking available. They sell more beers than what you see of theirs in the stores. They also have rotating guest beers. Pours are offered in 4oz and 10oz, which is nice if you don't want to drink too much or are trying to pace yourself/taste different beers. They also sell various merchandise, likes hats, shirts, etc. One thing I'm starting to add in my reviews is if there is a changing table now that I have a baby. They have a changing table in the large stall in the women's bathroom; not sure about men's bathroom and they do not have a family restroom.

I asked the beertender if I could sample a couple of their wheat beers, and they were more than happy to help. I ended up going with their American Wheat (super refreshing, crisp, and easy to drink). My friend opted for the Pilsner, which was just as solid and well-balanced. The only downside is that they don't serve the beer in proper glassware (everything comes in plastic cups), which takes away a bit from the overall experience. That said, the atmosphere is great, the staff is friendly, and the beer is delicious. Definitely a spot worth checking out

Everything is made differently with less flavor and finesse. The lettuce wraps used to be standout now they're dry and under seasoned. It's also presented differently which made for an awkward dining experience. I remember being blown away by the katsu chicken sandwhich the first time. This time it was gross. It was not fried like katsu but more so like a battered chicken breast. It always was not pounded flat into a uniform piece of meat but was more so a badly butchered breast that fell apart when you ate it. It was dry, under seasoned, fried way too hard and was stringy. I'd come for drinks and completely pass on the food all together. Not worth the high price tag associated with it. Karaoke DJ was stellar!!!!! Kept the party going and was so fun!!!!!

It is dark inside and usually I do not like going into establishments that do not have windows. At 530 pm on a Saturday night, the bar was half full and there were a few tables with people as the band was setting up for later in the evening. We ordered drinks and some appetizers. Perhaps our waitress was just having an off day, but there were a few errors. I specifically asked for our appetizers to come out prior to our main courses as I like to enjoy the small plates before the main course. I want to sit down, taste the food, enjoy a beverage and the experience, and not feel rushed. The main courses came out almost as soon as the appetizers, and the tables are small (there was just my wife and I), and it felt cramped when everything came out. The appetizers were quite good and were the highlight of the meal. The Devils on Horseback (Bacon Wrapped Dates stuffed with Herbed Goat Cheese) were flavorful, but would have been better baked then deep-fried. The Spicy Korean Style Meat Balls (House made Garlic Ginger Meatballs served with Baby Bok Choy and a Spicy Korean Glaze) were excellent! I had the Sonoran Perfect Manhattan. While the drink was ok, I think using the word "perfect" is more of an aspiration. The Kara-Age Chicken Sandwich (Japanese-style Fried Chicken sandwich with our Asian Slaw, on a soft Brioche Bun. Also available "HOT" style with Sriracha) could have been better. I asked our waitress some questions about the food and then pointed out this is not what was described in the menu for example it was supposed to come with Cajun fries, and these were just plain fries. She explained that they were down a cook. I was going to have another drink, but we just decided to leave. Perhaps they just had an off night; it happens. I think this place has potential, and I'd like to experience it more positively than I did.

He obliged ;D so TY both. Bob also makes a mean Sazerac , a $6 upcharge on the rye, but good quality drinks with inventive menus will cost you here, so save up, it's worthy. Ever heard of a beer press? Ingredients to flavor your draft mixed in a French Press. Oh and the house made old fashioned bitters are tell tale cocktail elevaters that really shine. Bob also took time to read over sugar content/Cals on NA drinks in fridge with me, tiny writing and low lighting, he was very understanding and patient in helping to make a selection. The pizza? It's Jaime's from next door but no app or running there needed, the bar takes the order, delivers when ready and has the extra condiments behind the bar to parm red chili flakes or black pepper up your slices. The bottom is crisp and 72-hr cold fermented dough has great flavor as does the sauce which has slight tang and zestiness, and now my go to over Empire Pizza, my previous downtown fave. Got the Gorgonzola bacon salad with house croutons, heirloom tomatoes and for $7 small, it was plenty for both of us pre-pizza. It's large, nice and proper cold, so delicious and had the hubby singing it's praises, we can't wait to try another salad as the quality of ingredients and house made dressing was tops! Good Oak has a dark speakeasy vibe with long velvety drapes to greet you on entry, a photo booth to capture your pre and post giggly highs from what the gorgeous wood bar will provide, along a long counter with wood booths to hide away in and sip the night away. Music is on blast, metal last 2 visits and spooky Halloween decor currently, adds to the mood.Games are stashed behind the fridge and exciting art nights, Sunday spin your own Vinyl, movie projections a-coming on the shared back patio with Jaime's and corner Art Bar give you more reasons to search Good Oak out, if you ever needed one! And there is a Happy Hr with discounted drinks ..ck Insta.

It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day

We were greeted by a giant statue of a unicorn zebra and of course took a selfie. We then went to the bar area and absolutely loved the dark speakeasy vibes. Burk, the handsome man with a shiny head, was at the bar. He handed us a drink menu that contained fun drink names like Death of a Unicorn. The drinks tasted good and had a lovely presentation. Mine even came in a zebra mug. We also learned that this bar has both an upstairs and downstairs area. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and headed home. This place left such an impression that we have been back two times since. On another occasion we had Nate the bartender. He had a lovely personality and accommodated all of the guests that came in near closing. We enjoyed Santa's Banana Hammock and Unicorn Ski Accident. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem. I look forward to seeing where this place goes. It has a ton of potential for special events with the basement area. P.s. It's also a boutique hotel. You could always book a room and enjoy dreams downstairs without having to drive
