We had a wonderful experience here celebrating a birthday! We arrived for an early reservation and were able to enjoy selections from their Happy Hour menu, including the delicious Zucchine Fritte, fried zucchini flowers stuffed with ricotta. We followed with the Calamari and Shrimp appetizer and two pasta dishes, which we enjoyed immensely. It never got too loud in our dining room, and you could still easily hear the Italian-language music (of many genres) playing. Our waitress Carly was lovely and always attentive, and the manager personally came over to see how we were doing and extend his birthday wishes. Tried this place and was blown away by the meal we had! the drinks were refreshing and tasty. The service was a bit slow, however our waitress Peyton was running around serving every table with gusto so that is not her fault and when she was able to stop by our table she was friendly and knowledgeable and quick to help. The food runners were also a big help to her during this busy dinner rush. Now the food! The Polpette meatball appetizer was good, the meatballs were delicate and smooth, tasted fantastic. My suggested would be to bake the cheese with them or serve it cold but the dish was still excellent. I had the Lasagna and it was fantastic as well. Love the mix of Bolognese and Bechamel. We had heard mixed reviews and honestly lean toward our tried and true restaurants in the area like Mezza and Dwight's. My son wanted to try this spot so we called just a few hours before the time we wanted and they did accommodate us at a high top in the bar. Not ideal but I get it was a same day request. We started with their version of their caprese salad and it was very watery and mushy. I love Cacio e Pepe and was looking very forward to that as my entree. It was good but not great. My son had the Carbonara dish and thought the same. Good but not great. The starter bread was very good with dipping oil and balsamic vinegar. The most off putting thing for me and I knew before I went was they have the audacity to charge $35 for a corkage fee to bring in your own wine. No one in Jacksonville charges that and I know as I take my own bottle of wine to every restaurant we go to. We dine out 4-5 times per week at high end spots.To pay a $35 corkage fee while sitting at a high top table in the bar is extreme! It is not fine dining though the prices reflect such. No table clothes, very loud, service was OK though not great. Again, food is decent but there are better options in the area. read more

Perfect spot for Happy Hour which is Monday thru Friday from 4 to 6 PM. Highly recommend the Zucchine fritte that is stuffed with ricotta and comes on a bed of salad and side of tartar sauce. The cocktails are reasonably priced. Love the Aperol Spritz for $8 (saving you $5 during happy hour). Finally, top off the meal with a huge slice of tiramisu. Parking can be tricky since it's Neptune Beach. But there is paid street parking in front but limited spaces. read more

Got reservations on a whim and arrived early for hapoy hour at the martini bar. Great bartender and enjoyed my Aperol Spritz. Our friends joined last minute and the staff accommodated seating for 4 in the main dining room which was very nice. Great service by polite staff and it was easy to converse with the level of noise being moderate. The pricing for salads seems a bit steep, but they were generous. The restaurant is open and fun with an Italian cafe vibe. We were warmly greeted and seated quickly. Our server was pleasant and friendly. Unfortunately I forgot her name! We started with a happy hour of meatball sliders, charcuterie platter, an Apperal spritz a first Coast martini and two margaritas. All were delicious! For the main course there were 2 orders of the Tagliatelle Bolognese which was so fresh , delicious and served perfectly Al Dente! My husband ordered the chicken Marsala with mashed potatoes special which he said was tender and delicious. My friend ordered the Chitarra Cacio Pepe which is prepared in a cheese bowl. Had a great experience overall! Our server Izzy was very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was great, I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't add any protein to my pasta dish and that they don't carry any type of chicken whatsoever! I'm not a big seafood fan so I ordered a pork dish (pork Milanese) and wanted a side of pasta with it but their only option for pasta was to pay for a full entree... While this review seems as if I'm not happy with the restaurant, what I did instead was split a meal with my mom, she got the pasta with no protein and I ordered the pork. The food was delicious! Apps we ordered the meatballs, while it only came with 3 meatballs, they were a decent size. Only complain is that the middle wasn't hot but it wasn't cold. The pork dish was very good and the pasta dish (Cacio e Pepe) was incredible! They tossed it right in front of us. The complimentary table bread was seriously one of the best table breads I've had in a long time. Drinks wise the espresso martini was very good. Other dishes we had were the lasagna which my dad raved about it and said it was the best he's had in a long time and the Tagliatelle Bolognese was good!
