Returned to Enza's, one of our favorite Italian restaurants. As usual it was outstanding! The atmosphere is always warm, cozy and a bit dark and the service was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We started with the fired calamari, which is always good and sometimes great. We had a huge portion of calamari that was nicely fried but a touch tough/chewy. Next were their famous Enza salads with lettuce, onions, feta cheese, black and green olives, roasted peppers and their special house "Enza" dressing--delicious!. My wife had the Grouper Elliana that was a large piece of perfectly cooked fish, cooked with lemon, capers, garlic, tomatoes, mushrooms, and green onions with a large portion of freshly cooked spinach. I had their chicken marsala (one of my favorite dishes) cooked in a delightful Marsala wine sauce along with mushrooms, roscuitto and green in onions. Note that their version of Marsala is a bit thicker, richer and a bit sweeter tasting than many Marsalas that you can get elsewhere and is truly Devine. For dessert we split cannolis which were tube shaped shells of fried pastry dough filled with a sweet and creamy ricotta cheese based filling. However, we decided that we couldn't leave without ordering their wonderful tiramisu and chocolate cake to take home with us--both are not to be missed! Again, Enza's is one of our favorite local restaurants and the only reason that I gave it 4 stars this time, was because of the slightly chewy calamari. Otherwise, it was and has always been a five star experience. Please try it out if you're in the Mandarin area.

Enza's is always delicious. The service was wonderful! The restaurant was wonderful and they had live music which was the perfect for setting for a dinner with friends!

If this review was based off a flavor, it would most likely get 4-5 stars, if this is based off of portion sizes and the amount of protein with your meal, it would only be two stars. We came here on a Saturday night at about 6pm and did not have reservations and were told we needed to sit at the bar but there were plenty of tables outside empty when we arrived as well as when we left. I have been craving chicken marsala for quite a while and they had it here. Do not let the photo for you. There was four very small thin pieces of chicken under all those mushrooms and marsala sauce, I doubt if it was 6 ounces of chicken. I got my pasta on the side which I'm sure makes a different as far as feeling like there's enough food. But I never eat all of my food and I ate all of my chicken easily. The marsala sauce was a bit sweet, but I thought it was delicious and my husband ordered the chicken alla enza extra spicy. He said it had excellent flavor, but also agreed extremely small amount protein/meat that was in there. There was only three small slices of Italian sausage not even enough to equal one sausage link, and 3 to 4 ounces of chicken We were greeted promptly with friendly service, but I feel for the pricing there are so many better places to go In response to the owners reply below, I appreciate them taking the time to reply, but at the same time, I don't order my chicken dishes because I want to get satisfied on pasta. If I wanted to get satisfied on pasta, I would order a perhaps baked pasta dish, or one of your pasta only specialties.

Stopped in for an early dinner on a meatless for us Friday. We each had a glass of Meiomi Pinot Noir ( one of our favorites). We sat at the bar and indulged in appetizers. Calamari , bruschetta and Shrimp. All very delicious and our server/ bartender was fabulous. Nice touch with a piano player as well

Best tiramisu I have had in a very long time. So I'm not a big tiramisu but my friends recommended so we went for it. It was so airy and creamy. We also enjoyed the spinach ricotta ravioli and fettuccine Alfredo. The fettuccine was perfect and so light and the Alfredo was also creamy but not too heavy or thick. Definitely would get again. The chicken marsala was good just a little more on the sweet side from what I'm use too.

From start to finish, this restaurant delivers an outstanding experience. The food is absolutely exceptional--every dish is prepared with care, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. The service is just as impressive, our hostess was Brooke and she gave us her favorite dishes but also stated everything was delicious. We all tried one another's meal and she was right! She also mentioned their dressings were homemade and I asked if we could have a flight of dressings, I was joking, but she said "sure"with excitement. My favorite was the Bleu cheese, but they are are so good. Enza, you need to start bottling this up so we can take dressings home . The entire staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely makes you feel welcome without ever being intrusive. We met the owner Enza and she was so sweet, I just had to keep hugging her for her warm hospitality. She took the time to show us the entire restaurant and tell us how she started, I was asking so many questions and the joy in her voice when she was telling us made everything even more special. The ambiance ties it all together--elegant yet comfortable, with the perfect atmosphere for both a special occasion or a relaxed night out. You have to go down the halls and look at her pictures, from her family pictures to pictures she's been given from guests. You also have to check out "My Husbands bar" her hubby's bar. This place truly sets the standard for dining excellence. Highly recommend. I'm sad that this isn't a place we can dine at weekly since we live in California, but I know that when we come back, this will be our must stop restaurant every time! Oh and ask to try her olives, Sooo good!!! Oh and one other thing, they have cooking classes!!! See you all again!

Sat down at 8:02 pm at a high top table behind the man playing the piano. Finally the server came over at 8:08 pm. She's asks would you like anything else besides water to drink and I say no and she replies I'll be right with you and walks away. 8:14 pm some guy just swings by drops of garlic bread. No chance to say anything else. Garlic bread was not appealing and cold. 8:24 pm server comes by with stuff in her hands to ask if I'm doing ok. I said yes and she walks away as I'm getting ready to ask for a cocktail. 8:33 pm I see my server again only to bring my food and rush off. Not even to ask me if I needed nothing else. 8:45 pm came and took the plate and asked if I wanted dessert advised no just the check. She brings the check but then has some other girl come get it from me. Ordered the Chicken Piccata it was ok and the price for what you get is not worth it. VERY INATTENTIVE STAFF! I've been wanting to try this place and sad to say if I come back it will be at the bar. Maybe they will have better service to who has seated. Enjoyable vibe but the service sucks. Server was Candice. I didn't leave a tip I would normally leave if the service was amazing but at least I left something.

I feel bad rating this low due to its popularity, but the food was nothing special - for the prices we expected it to not taste like chain Italian food so paying almost $200 for 2 adults and 2 kids was a gut punch for nothing memorable. We went for Mother's Day to celebrate as we had heard great things. The best part was $15 for a full bottle of wine and great bread, but the food left a lot to be desired. The soup was not good. I LOVE angel hair pasta but there wasn't enough of it - I had a lot more protein by the time I ran out of noodles.

    Janice B.

I lost a bet to my husband and this was where he cashed in his winnings. However, I basically won too! Food is a 9.8/10. Always delicious. The seafood combo with angel hair pasta is my go to. The holiday special drink biscotti martini was delicious and sweet. The espresso martini was good. They don't make it with real espresso but the cold brew works too. Service was spectacular. We sat at the bar. Ambiance is amazing. The piano man takes tips and requests. We requested some Frank Sinatra.

Do they make their pasta in house?

Due to the volume of pasta we prepare to keep prices fair we do not make our own pasta, while we agree hand made pasta offers a texture and flavor unmatched by any dry pasta, we use Barilla pasta which we believe is the best quality dry pasta…

I was one of 6 in a group and had great conversation and larger than expected appetizers. I ordered a flight of reds, broadening my tastes to explore a Tempranillo. It was my favorite, actually, and paired well with the Shanghai Short Rib! I was pleasantly impressed. I did have the crab, shrimp and lobster bisque for my appetizer, the seasonal Shanghai Short rib for my entree and the peach butter cake to finish. Truthfully, I was finished long before the dessert, but had to taste each course. It was delectable! Personally, I would've appreciated more spice in the Shanghai sauce, but it was tasty for a more general palate and customer base. There's some risotto that called to me, so I will definitely return! Our server Frenchie also made it very clear that she's only working for tips - but she wasn't working very hard for them. Not only did she belittle our party for our ages, but also made it our problem for taking our food/drink orders late. One person in our party asked a question regarding an entree on the menu and he was met with a smart remark and little to no detail explaining the entree. Later on in the night when the whole table is done eating - we all decide to help out and clean up the table as best as we can. Frenchie decided it was a good time to make yet another smart remark about stacking the plates on top of each other. She continued to say "Have you ever been a server before?" and before really answering she cut me off to say "well then you should know not to stack the plates because you don't know if the server can handle that many plates" ... as she continued to take the pile of dishes out of my hand. If she can't handle too many plates in her hands, then she should've just waited to clear the table or politely say "i'll come back for those plates in a minute" by the end of it all , the entire table felt very uncomfortable by her demeanor towards us - of course we still tipped because we understand what it's like to make a living off of tips but to have a sour attitude and continually reminding us that you're here for tips isn't a great way of having customers coming back.

We did come in on a Saturday Night so there was a wait to get in which was about 45 minutes for 2 but lucky Monkey's Uncle is right next-door so we grabbed some drinks there. We got our text that our table was ready and we walked over. Once seated our waitress went over the specials and I checked out the menu. They really have something for everyone and even some New Orleans classics. We of course had to get the New Orleans BBQ Shrimp since it's favorites plus it's one of their most popular dishes so it has to be good and you already know it was. The spicy butter sauce had so much flavor and the shrimp were cooked perfectly and the bread was great for sopping up every last drop of sauce. Being at Picasso's we also had to try a pizza and they have St Louis style which is have never had but I do love a thin crust so we tried the 12" The Gourmet Pizza which comes with Pancetta Bacon, Caramelized Onions, Brie, and Truffle Oil. This pizza was amazing and unlike any I have had. I will say the Brie will catch you off guard at first but this pizza is for sure worth a try. For my entree I went with the Fettuccine Alfredo and I added a Chicken Cutlet for $10. Let me tell you.... This might have been the best Fettuccine Alfredo I have ever hit it's that good. The Fettuccine Alfredo is made in house from scratch which is how it always should be done and the Alfredo is so flavorful. The Chicken Cutlet is also crispy, tender and flavorful as well. You really cannot go wrong with this combo. If you are a connoisseur of Fettuccine Alfredo Picasso's is a place you can not miss. My wife loved the dressing on their house salad last time, so she went with that again too. You get garlic bread with your meal and yes, it tastes every bit as good as it looks in the photo I took. I picked the Seafood Over Linguini for my entree. Again, the lemon aspect of the butter sauce wasn't overpowering which is great. There was a LOT of seafood, just like the seafood risotto I had last time and the noodles were cooked perfectly. In short, I'm going to have a hard time moving away from their seafood offerings. My wife had their Chicken Francese last time and absolutely loved it. She wanted to try something else this time she so went with Chicken Scampi. It was as good as she hoped. She didn't give me specifics but she did say "oh that's the stuff" a lot from the first bite on lol. A couple of other things are worth note: first, we got there at 5:30 and even with the expansion, they were PACKED. We felt pretty fortunate to get the literal last available booth. I rarely recommend this but if you're going to go try them, I'd strongly recommend reservations for your first time. Just to make sure you don't show up at the wrong time and end up with a long wait because their word of mouth is so strong. Last but not least, shout out to Waldi, our server. He greeted us at the counter with a smile,, sat us, then became our server too. He was taking care of us, other tables, handling carry out orders and probably other stuff I didn't see. And the dude was smiling the whole time to top it off!
