He did an excellent job showing me the specials and served a very tasty Old Fashion and asked hiw I like my old Fationed with bourbon or rye. I choose knob creek rye. I then ordered the goat cheese bruschetta and then main course was the pork osso buca which was so tender and filled with flavor. For desert I had the limonchello mascarpone cake. As soon as me and my wife walked in to the restaurant we were greeted and sat right away. The ambiance of this restaurant is truly amazing and very Italian vibe. We were greeted by our server MORGAN who was fantastic from beginning to the end. She suggested some incredible stuff that as a vegetarian I tried and was just amazing. For drinks we had mojito and pinacolada which was nice and refreshing. For appetiser we were recommended with Pomodoro Caprese which was amazing especially their Pesto sauce. For my entree she suggested me Luingini Josephine which was unique and nice pasta. Morgan surprised me with a dessert which was very kind of her. Back to back reviews everyone we are here again with the same group. Got my good buddy Bezos, ogre, bs wife, and tragic.. Initially, we were going to Coopers Hawk, but forgot we had to make a reservation a year prior. We were told a 2 hour wait! That is wild given how big the place is. But again it is a Saturday night, and people were smarter than us and made reservations, and thus we left. After giving the news to ogre she full on had a rage attack in the parking lot screaming for those classic Coopers Hawk egg rolls. While we were consoling her I heard a soothing sound coming from behind the restaurant and we landed in front of Enzo's. We were greeted by the kindest owner ever who thankfully along with the help of her staff got us in with no wait, given how packed it was.. We were greeted by a very nice waiter who seemed all over the place though. I think he was definitely new, and was forgetful at times.. Anyways! We got three apps which were all fried stuff. Fried ravioli, Fried mozzarella sticks, Fried calamari. Honestly looking back kind of gross.. but they were solid tasting! Nothing out of the park at all on the apps just your standard.. a little tasteless on the calamari, but then again I had like 3-4 pieces because the ogre consumed them.. but then I got clarification from my good buddy bezos that it was kind of tasteless. The most tastiest was the fried mozzarella! Which shouldn't happen. Onto the entrees! Actually wait side reference note I initially ordered mussels with linguini. It was the worst dish of seafood and pasta I have ever had. I literally NEVER send stuff back, like literally never.. it feels inconsiderate and I feel like a bother even if it is just a little edible I would eat it with no complaints but I literally could not. It was so fishy I am now writing this nauseous. Some of the mussels were also closed, cold or broken.. it was just very very poor and I'm mad I had three mussels. Returned to Enza's, one of our favorite Italian restaurants. As usual it was outstanding! The atmosphere is always warm, cozy and a bit dark and the service was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We started with the fired calamari, which is always good and sometimes great. We had a huge portion of calamari that was nicely fried but a touch tough/chewy. Next were their famous Enza salads with lettuce, onions, feta cheese, black and green olives, roasted peppers and their special house "Enza" dressing--delicious!. My wife had the Grouper Elliana that was a large piece of perfectly cooked fish, cooked with lemon, capers, garlic, tomatoes, mushrooms, and green onions with a large portion of freshly cooked spinach. I had their chicken marsala (one of my favorite dishes) cooked in a delightful Marsala wine sauce along with mushrooms, roscuitto and green in onions. Note that their version of Marsala is a bit thicker, richer and a bit sweeter tasting than many Marsalas that you can get elsewhere and is truly Devine. For dessert we split cannolis which were tube shaped shells of fried pastry dough filled with a sweet and creamy ricotta cheese based filling. However, we decided that we couldn't leave without ordering their wonderful tiramisu and chocolate cake to take home with us--both are not to be missed! Again, Enza's is one of our favorite local restaurants and the only reason that I gave it 4 stars this time, was because of the slightly chewy calamari. If this review was based off a flavor, it would most likely get 4-5 stars, if this is based off of portion sizes and the amount of protein with your meal, it would only be two stars. We came here on a Saturday night at about 6pm and did not have reservations and were told we needed to sit at the bar but there were plenty of tables outside empty when we arrived as well as when we left. I have been craving chicken marsala for quite a while and they had it here. Do not let the photo for you. There was four very small thin pieces of chicken under all those mushrooms and marsala sauce, I doubt if it was 6 ounces of chicken. I got my pasta on the side which I'm sure makes a different as far as feeling like there's enough food. But I never eat all of my food and I ate all of my chicken easily. The marsala sauce was a bit sweet, but I thought it was delicious and my husband ordered the chicken alla enza extra spicy. He said it had excellent flavor, but also agreed extremely small amount protein/meat that was in there. There was only three small slices of Italian sausage not even enough to equal one sausage link, and 3 to 4 ounces of chicken We were greeted promptly with friendly service, but I feel for the pricing there are so many better places to go In response to the owners reply below, I appreciate them taking the time to reply, but at the same time, I don't order my chicken dishes because I want to get satisfied on pasta. We arrived a little early and were promptly seated in the dining room. Upon being seated we're were greeted by our server offering water as well as drinks from the bar. The menu is quite extensive and took several minutes to review. Soon our server arrived with our evening cocktails and then allowed us additional time to talk and catch up with our friends. The restaurant was slowly beginning to fill up as we decided upon our appetizers and entrees. We were told of the day's specials and our choices were made. A piano player played in the background as the restaurant continued to be filled with customers. The noise level was not bad at all as everyone was able to communicate across our table as more and more customers continued to arrive. The meals were all delicious and quite ample for our healthy appetites! We haven't been to Enza's in years, although we used to be regulars. Then a couple of newer Italian places opened nearby that were clearly better, so no recent visits. Last night we decided it was time to revisit Enza, and overall it was a good experience. The dining room and some of the staff are the same, which is amazing since the last time we visited was more than 5 years ago. It's a cozy, relatively quiet place with piano music and low lighting - I had to use my phone flashlight to read the menu and the check. Service was excellent and friendly. We ordered veal parm and a spaghetti dish with scallops, sun dried tomatoes, and capers. Garlic bread for the table (kinda tough) with dipping oil and salads. The Ceasar salad was good (with anchovies), and the Enza salad as always was exceptional. The scallops were perfectly cooked, but somehow the spaghetti was undercooked - not even al dente. Surprising for something so simple. The veal was a huge piece of meat that covered the plate completely, but nice and thin with an excellent crispy breading. My longstanding complaint with Enza's is their tomato sauce that is used on the veal, other dishes, and the side of pasta (I had penne). This is truly one of the reasons we haven't been visiting here regularly - for a relatively upscale place the tomato sauce is just that. Very plain, not marinara and not seasoned at all. Hard to understand why this isn't better. It would make a significant difference in quality for very little effort. So you will most often get a decent meal here in a relatively quiet environment with good service. read more

Best tiramisu I have had in a very long time. So I'm not a big tiramisu but my friends recommended so we went for it. It was so airy and creamy. We also enjoyed the spinach ricotta ravioli and fettuccine Alfredo. The fettuccine was perfect and so light and the Alfredo was also creamy but not too heavy or thick. Definitely would get again. The chicken marsala was good just a little more on the sweet side from what I'm use too. read more

From start to finish, this restaurant delivers an outstanding experience. The food is absolutely exceptional--every dish is prepared with care, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. The service is just as impressive, our hostess was Brooke and she gave us her favorite dishes but also stated everything was delicious. We all tried one another's meal and she was right! She also mentioned their dressings were homemade and I asked if we could have a flight of dressings, I was joking, but she said "sure"with excitement. My favorite was the Bleu cheese, but they are are so good. Enza, you need to start bottling this up so we can take dressings home . The entire staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely makes you feel welcome without ever being intrusive. We met the owner Enza and she was so sweet, I just had to keep hugging her for her warm hospitality. She took the time to show us the entire restaurant and tell us how she started, I was asking so many questions and the joy in her voice when she was telling us made everything even more special. The ambiance ties it all together--elegant yet comfortable, with the perfect atmosphere for both a special occasion or a relaxed night out. You have to go down the halls and look at her pictures, from her family pictures to pictures she's been given from guests. You also have to check out "My Husbands bar" her hubby's bar. This place truly sets the standard for dining excellence. Highly recommend. I'm sad that this isn't a place we can dine at weekly since we live in California, but I know that when we come back, this will be our must stop restaurant every time! We wanted to try this place so bad and we were seated fast but we waited 25 min and we saw many servers but none came to out table or asked if we needed anything, they saw us with the menu and we felt ignored. No one came and the place was not even full. We felt awful and we got up and left. Not even front hosts asked anything they were just talking. Sat down at 8:02 pm at a high top table behind the man playing the piano. Finally the server came over at 8:08 pm. She's asks would you like anything else besides water to drink and I say no and she replies I'll be right with you and walks away. 8:14 pm some guy just swings by drops of garlic bread. No chance to say anything else. Garlic bread was not appealing and cold. 8:24 pm server comes by with stuff in her hands to ask if I'm doing ok. I said yes and she walks away as I'm getting ready to ask for a cocktail. 8:33 pm I see my server again only to bring my food and rush off. Not even to ask me if I needed nothing else. 8:45 pm came and took the plate and asked if I wanted dessert advised no just the check. She brings the check but then has some other girl come get it from me. Ordered the Chicken Piccata it was ok and the price for what you get is not worth it. VERY INATTENTIVE STAFF! I feel bad rating this low due to its popularity, but the food was nothing special - for the prices we expected it to not taste like chain Italian food so paying almost $200 for 2 adults and 2 kids was a gut punch for nothing memorable. We went for Mother's Day to celebrate as we had heard great things. The best part was $15 for a full bottle of wine and great bread, but the food left a lot to be desired. The soup was not good. Her marinara was balanced and slightly sweet (which I LOVE) My husband ordered the Shrimp Fra Diavolo while I had the Chicken Marsala And WOW were blown away at how delicious our meals were! My Marsala wine sauce was perfectly balanced with rich and creamy sauce. The chicken was moist and generous with the mushrooms. His meal was perfect spice and tons of shrimp. We immediately knew at FIRST bite this was now our #1 Italian restaurant for us here in Florida! The staff all work together to make for a perfect dining experience. Enza herself worked the room and greeted guest to include our table. She and her husband have put their hearts and soul into every dish. All around a dining experience that's almost gone in today's world. I could easily see Frank Sinatra (should he be here today) giving this his seal of approval. We walked in fifteen minutes after opening and of course it was empty at first, but within the hour it was bustling along! After many trips to this restaurant, I still dream about the simple deliciousness that is the tortellini. Personally like the meat tortellini over the cheese, as it stands out more against the carbonara. Chilean sea bass was on special and well worth the market price of the fish. Came whole and perfectly prepared. Crème brûlée is hit or miss. Sometimes it's perfectly crisp and other times it's too burnt to enjoy. Tiramisu had a good flavor, but a little too mushy for me. What a gem in our humble Mandarin community! We were pleasantly surprised the moment we walked in - a bustling and stylish bar area to the left and white-clothed tables everywhere else. Went to Enzas for my step dads birthday, the restaurant is very spacious and has plenty of seating, I do recommend a reservation as they tend to stay pretty full. The staff was very tentative and friendly, our waitress kept our cups and bread baskets full. The food did take some time to come out, but it's to be expected when you have a large party. The food was good I wouldn't say it was bad, but the only dishes that we found to be the most tasty were the seafood ones. The other plates that had the red (marinara) sauce lacked a bit of more flavor. I do have to point out that the portions are big and will definitely fill you up. read more

Wen you come to Enza's, you know you are going to get exceptional food and service. This time didn't surprise us. We were shown to a table in the back room which was quiet, yet full. It seemed like everyone had a special occasion on this day. As was with us, my daughter's birthday and mine. However, for the price and size, our food was rather disappointing. It wasn't bad; it was just kind of meh. It was about $4-$6 extra to add chicken to the fettuccine Alfredo (i.e., the restaurant didn't have chicken Alfredo on the menu, just fettuccine Alfredo). Additionally, the portion sizes of both the chicken Alfredo and eggplant parm were rather small and kind of bland. For the two of us, it was over $50 with tip for mediocre Italian food. We recently had the pleasure of hosting our daughter's Quinceañera Party at Enza's. The food was delicious and the party was experience was amazing!!! Enza's hospitality was incredible, no detail spared. Their private room accommodated our party of 55 guest, plus it left plenty of room for dance floor space, and a cake and gift table. The private room at Enza's also has built in speakers, allowing us to connect our dance playlist directly to the room - we danced for over an hour - no need to spend money on a DJ. This is a nice Italian restaurant in Jax! We went for dinner and our server Nancy was such a sweet heart. My reason for the 4 star rating is that the pricing of the dishes I do not think is worth the price due to the sizes of the plates and a lot of the dishes need to purchase the pasta separately. The quality of the food was delicious so no complaints there. Another factor would be they do not have fresh Parmesan cheese which I find strange for an Italian restaurant, they only offer the normal grated cheese on the tables. They do have a nice selection of cocktails and wines to enjoy with your meals. Great service, fancy atmosphere with piano music, and yummy food. read more
