Always love stopping when coming through Jackson! Never Disappointed. Great food and service

This small fairly new Italian restaurant was such a pleasant surprise. The meals come with either soup or salad and garlic bread or focaccia. I had the mushroom soup and it was just delicious. My husband had the minestrone and he said it was the best he's ever had. We both opted for the garlic bread and I do wish there had been more than just one piece each. It was very good but it was a fairly chintzy offering. Maybe a small basket for the table would be better. The prices aren't inexpensive so I think a more generous bread offering would be nice. I had the basil cream chicken and it was excellent. Nice large portion so I took the leftovers home. Nice treat for lunch today. My husband had the sausage and pasta in a spicy Alfredo. It was very tasty but next time he will order it less spicy. We will definitely be back to Saluti's, probably often. read more

This place was SO good! I can't believe I hadn't heard of it before! Wonderful selection of Italian food, great atmosphere, wonderful wine selection from area, and the desserts are super yum! I can tell that it's popular with locals because they were busy (on a Tuesday!) With dine-in and to-go orders. The service was attentive and helpful. We will definitely be going again! read more

We just had our first dinner at Saluti's and will definitely be back! Everything was delicious, from the polenta cakes appetizer to the creamy lasagna, pasta milanese, and linguine with clams -- all served with a tasty side salad and fabulous garlic bread. We had a wonderful dinner and fabulous service. It was very crowded but the staff were friendly and very attentive. Food was delicious and we recommend the Cannoli's for a small dessert. Chef came by and asked how we were and ended up talking for awhile! We will sure come back the next time we are in town! read more

The food was very good and our server was very good but it was uncomfortably loud. The restaurant was playing some fun classic Italian music which would have been enjoyable if it wasn't competing with the country music the cook was blasting in the open kitchen. read more

My husband and I happened to be in the area. We were looking for a little hole in the wall place because those almost ALWAYS tend to be better than big-name restaurants. Saluti's did not disappoint. The service was great and the food was really good. There is no good Italian food anywhere else in the area that I know of. I have no complaints. read more

I have eaten here several times. The food and service has always been good. The one star is for the cook's unprofessional behavior. He gets overwhelmed easily, screams at the staff, throws items around the kitchen and slams pots and pans on the stove and counter. Too much drama to endure for a good meal. read more

This place by far has the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. I had really high hopes due to all the amazing reviews I saw before coming here. I got seated after a few short minutes of waiting and started looking over the menu. While doing so the chef was yelling at the waiters and screaming about garlic bread and subs, slamming stuff around. We waited about 20 minutes before someone came over take our order. The waiters were very nice but as he was trying take our order the chef threw a pan and walked to the back and started punching something multiple times so hard the walls were shaking while yelling. He proceeded to throw a bunch of dishes around. I told the waiter that I would prefer not to eat there and left. Overall disappointing and unprofessional. read more

We have been trying to eat here for months and finally got our chance tonight! OMG! What a pleasant surprise! My husband had the soup and lasagna and said they were both cooked to perfection. I had the shrimp scampi and could have licked the plate! Years ago we often had shrimp scampi at Stockton Joe's and I have never been able to find anything close. Tonight I found it! Raw meatballs. The flavors of the spaghetti and the creamy Italian salad dressing was delicious. The meatballs were so disappointing. We ordered the spaghetti for the meatballs and they were inedible due to the raw, uncooked, meat in the middle. Due to my concern of possible pork in them we did not eat them. I was so disappointed because we really wanted them. I would eat here again but I would not order the meatballs unless I saw one sliced open from the batch prior to ordering . Some of the best Italian food ever. The restaurant is very small and everything is made to order so be patient--it's well wortth it. The husbnd is the chef and the wife witresses both do a wonderful job. Ours was a party of four and we started with the bruschetta--the serving was ample for a starter for four. It was piled high with very good tomatoes and nummy balsamic. I had the chicken in a basil cream sauce over spaghetti, my husband had the linguine with clams which was enhansed with the addition of chili flakes in the sauce. Our daughter and her friend shared a shrimp scampi and a basil cream chicken. All the food was so delicious and the service extremely friendly and efficient without rushing us. We will definitely make this a regular stop on our mny trips to Jackson. I can't give this small restaurant enough praise! Next time we go we are going to order extra garlic bread so we don't waste any of the delicious sauces. read more

Our first, and most definitely not the last, visit to this amazing gem was nothing short of exceptional! From the call to make the reservation (which I would highly recommend), to the family friendly greeting as we entered the restaurant, the exceptional service and the food! The FOOD! My goodness! Everything was perfect! We started with the Bruschetta which was so, so full of amazing flavors! Then I had the loaded baked potato soup (forgot to get a picture darn it!), which was wonderful! Mother-in-Love and hubby had the side salad (again missed that photo too) and they both complimented on the great mix of flavors that complimented each other so well. For our entrees, I had the Basil Cream Chicken, my Mother-in-Love had the Beef Ravioli and my hubby had the Spaghetti & Meatballs. All equally remarkable! Made reservations for my fiancé's birthday. We both really enjoyed our food. I ordered the creamy polenta as an appetizer and it was the best polenta we have both ever had. He ordered the vegetarian lasagna and I got the fettuccine alfredo with shrimp added. The portions were large, the food was fantastic, and the price was affordable. Our server was also very nice. I am glad we made reservations because it is rather small, which makes it the perfect date night location. We will definitely be back! read more

We finally gave Saluti's a try after hearing such good things about it, and weren't disappointed. We both started with the potato soup- so good that we had to take home a pint. Dropped by to try new place in Jackson. Wow what a hidden gem. I ordered a simple ordinary French Dip. The flavor as out of this world. Tender beef w/loads of garlic on French roll. What was amazing was the home made au jus Deep in beef flavor and garlic. Certainly not the ordinary salty out of the can stuff you usually get, It came with a small fresh, ice cold dinner salad loaded with the works and dressed with a delicious creamy Italian. My wife had a flatbread cheese and mushroom pizza. She never finishes anything but there wasn't a crumb left. We definitely will be back for dinner with friends. I had seen the reviews of this relatively new restaurant in Jackson and they were all high ratings. So tonite my wife and I went to Saluti's and all the reviews were right on the money. The food was great, the service was great and the prices were right too! Already ready to go back. But this place is taking off, so if you're going on a weekend evening, you may want to make a reservation in advance because they do get busy....but it will definitely be worth it. read more

Food was ok. Not great. Service was great. The one star comes from the behavior of the husband and wife owners team. I was leaving the Raley's parking lot up above the parking lot behind their restaurant, at about 10pm, a couple of hours after that restaurant closes, when I heard screaming, so I rolled down my window and observed the owners screaming at a woman who had pulled over her camper vehicle to the empty parking lot behind the restaurant to, according to her when I asked her after the event, take a nap. She lives in that vehicle. One of our many unhoused citizens in Amador County. I observed them banging on her door and when she opened it they took pictures of her and threatened to put them on Facebook, and called her horrible names. This kind of treatment of anyone is disgusting and shameful. She and her vehicle were not in anyway interfering with or effecting their business. I would encourage folks not to support such a business. read more

This WONDERFUL Italian restaurant has come into our community just in time. It's a refreshing take on absolutely AUTHENTIC Italian cuisine. The owner is the chef. He made time to come out to the dining room to make sure every table was enjoying our meals. We started out with garlic bread with meat sauce to dip, followed by the most INCREDIBLE minestrone soup. Which according to the chef/owner was his great grandmother and possibly further back's recipe. It was sincerely the best minestrone I've have ever eaten. My husband had the Italian sausage and peppers with pasta, I had the chicken caesar salad. We both look forward to going again! read more

Salute days is the best Italian food we have ever tasted.... Including our visit to Rome a few years ago. The food is scrumptious and consistently good. We have not been disappointed on any dish that we have ordered. The beef dip at lunch time is absolutely full of flavor and melts in your mouth. I'm not kidding. He usually runs out of that by dinner time hours everybody orders for lunch. But don't let that stop you because there is so much to choose from on their menu. The owners are friendly and welcomes you to their family restaurant. There is inside and outside dining and the whole family can come and enjoy a delicious meal. Great new addition to Jackson restaurant scene. Small but the food is great. Had the chicken Marsala and loved it. Took half home. The green salad is also delicious. Husband had lasagna and also said it was good. Staff are very friendly and attentive. They should have wine and beer license in a few weeks which will be a great addition.
