We were winery hopping today, and the gal at the Miller's Winery said " have you been to Bubbly's" and I said "No". She said you must go there next, so that's exactly what my husband and I decided to do! I was greeted by the owner Karen, lovely lady. She was explaining to me all of our choices, so I went for the popular Champagne slushie for my husband and I. They were very refreshing and wished it was a hot day outside because they'd be even better!!! I loved how you walk down this alley way and you encountered a big bubble machine!!! How fun is that! This is the most darling place for some rest from shopping. Me and my sister came in here spontaneously and absolutely had a great time. We loved being able to have a flight of champagne, as neither of us have done so before. The champagne was all so delicious. My family ended up joining us and we both did the international flight. TEN STARS! This spot has the smartest dang marketing I've ever seen. We were walking around Sutter Creek Main Street, when we saw some bubbles floating into the air. It was so whimsical and magical. As we got closer, we realized...it is the alley entrance to a bubbles tasting room, Simply Bubbles! BEST MARKETING EVER. We took some time for some selfies and photo ops at the bubble maker, and then of course had to go in for a glass. They have a small outdoor space right on the river that is just darling. The sofa in the outside space is equipped with blankets and decorated so well. As you step in, you feel like you're in a Lake Tahoe chalet. It's cozy, inviting, and warm wood features surround you. There's a good amount of high-top long table seating, and some comfy sofas and tables as well. They offer a variety of bubbly - champagne, prosecco, etc. by the glass or bottle. They also do bubbly slushies - so cute! We cozied up in the corner table near the fireplace going on the TV, ordered a bottle and grabbed some board games they provided. We loved spending the afternoon here sipping and laughing. The team members (and possibly the owner?) were SO kind and friendly - a wonderful local owned business that's a must during your visit! ...and you KNOW we stopped for more bubbles pictures on our way out :) read more

Simply Bubbles is simply awesome! Dropped in during our visit to Amador because my wife loves bubbles...ergo she was in her element! Not terribly hard to find as there is a bubble machine to help guide you down a side street...clever! The place itself is adjacent to Sutter Creek which is currently flowing nicely. Speaking of flowing, so are the bubbles! There are several different flights to choose from and all were very good. The owner, Karen, was a fantastic host, knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Inside there is plenty of seating with different styles of wooden tables. There is also outdoor seating where you can overlook the creek. It's quiet yet can get a little busy with the guests who obviously know a good place when they find it. Highly recommend Simply Bubbles for a nice wind down before dinner or just to hang for a bit. I agree with another elite who said the marketing here is *really* smart. How can you not be drawn to a place that reflects its name with bubbles floating toward you? We followed them on down to find a friendly owner that we would have loved to have sat with for hours on end and a great selection of champagne and sparkling wine. Amador county is not the most resourceful when it comes to small events & we were lucky enough to come across Simply Bubbles for my mom's surprise party! It was PERFECT. The best part was the convenience for me. As an event planner and former venue manager, efficiency is everything, and the owner of Simply Bubbles Greg was so communicative and quick to get back to us and help us lock in the booking. In fact, we booked Simply Bubbles before even hearing back from other local small venues/restaurant options. We paid a small reservation fee and were able to bring in our own food and desserts (we went full local and ordered from The Outlaw Baking Co & She's So Charcuterie, Gold Dust Pizza). The place: The patio is so cute! The cowhide chairs, heaters, Creekside view, and perfect amount of sun & shade were great for guests and air flow. The inside was so cute! It's a modern rustic style with a variety of seating options & materials. They had a large brick counter that was perfect for our food display. They have small nook lounge areas for conversation and a large TV. They played country music & the place is just CLEAN. The owner was wiping things down throughout the event while stilling serving guests. She worked hard and we appreciate how seamless she made our event. The restrooms are a little funky, it is definitely an old building, so I don't think they have much room to modernize this facility, but just be prepared that it's small and more outhouse feel then restaurant restroom. But hey... it's clean. The menu: so many options! Competitive pricing and they have SLUSHIES! A great variety of local options and beers. You can tell so much care goes into the running of this business. From the bubble machine to the refrigerated options for snacks, Simply Bubbles is charming, personable... and a true little gem in the county. Drinking something bubbly without having to be in an upscale environment is my kinda place! read more

The idea behind what this little local hot spot is has such potential, but they're not quite there yet. When one thinks of champagne and sparkling wines, luxury and sophistication come to mind, not dark cellars and a country barnyard feel. The kitschy bubble machine outside to draw people in is cute and does its job. The service is nice, but it would be helpful to have a sommelier or wine educator on site to discuss the various flavors and profiles of the wines offered. There is a lot of tourist business with their frozen wine selection. The frozen wine is much like an icee. The selection of champagnes and sparkling is ok and nothing one couldn't purchase at a grocery or liquor store. The restroom situation is bizarre, but clean. We ordered a couple of glasses and bought a couple of bottles to go. Overall, I'll give them a third try when we have guests staying with us. Wow what a great place to hold my daughters bridal shower. It was such a pretty setting on a beautiful weekend in Sutter Creek. The staff there were so happy to help. We had our own area to host it and the bubbles kept flowing. They even have adult slushy! That's what I will have to try next time. Had the best time here on Saturday, celebrating their grand opening! Driving into Sutter Creek, my friend and I took the first parking spot we could find and then pulled out our yelp apps to see if we could find the bar. Before I got much further, my friend said, "....or we could just follow the bubbles...?!" I looked up and saw bubbles all over the street, streaming from the other end of Main Street! Such a great way to announce their presence! And a good thing too, because their entrance is not right on the street, but rather down an alley/driveway and in the basement of the main building. Good signage is going to be very necessary because I'm not sure they can run the bubble machine 24/7... Following the little stamped footsteps down the drive, we entered a cute little patio set up with some bar stools and counter space, and a couple bench seats, and then into the main bar area. A cacophony of sounds and a mass of people greeted us...everyone having a grand old time. We made our way to the counter, and ordered our Italian champagne flight. Their pours were very generous, almost 5 ounce pours! We spent a good hour on the bench outside drinking our delicious champagne and snacking on truffle potato chips. There was a pizza food truck on the premises for the event, but we were happy with the chips. More of my friends arrived as we were leaving, and the place continued to be packed. If this is any indication of the future, I can say that Simply Bubbles is going to do just fine :) I will definitely be back for more! read more

Cool place... PSA**** NOT kid friendly We learned the hard way. Brought our (well behaved) 6 year old daughter because we were camping locally. We saw the bubbles (what kid doesn't like bubbles?!) and knew we were here! We thought it was like a brewery, but I was literally chased down by the owner after my daughter walked in with us looking for our party of 14. The owner was a little aggressive telling us she can't come in not even past the red line of the patio, we approached him later after ordering drinks and after much questioning he said it was the liquor license.. totally understandable but didn't appreciate the hostility. So just a heads up, it's a BAR. I'd never bring my 6 year old to a bar but now that I know it's a bar-bar.. I though it was more of a brewery type thing. They don't serve food. My bad, it's not advertised that way, I thought cool, a champagne place! Nice touch since a brewery gets old after a while.... Overall, the flights of champs were very sweet. Seemed they were pushing that more than anything. Glad I got my 10$ sparkling champs, it was decent. If this place offered food it would prob be better off. My advice, expand the parking lot, offer food and allow kiddos, you may have a better outcome. Hope it's different for when we come back next. read more
