My favorite place to buy shoes and leather goods. The sales staff are very friendly: they are eager to help and don't pressure you into buying. Kimberley and Mark are some of the best people to work with! Prices are reasonable, compared to other high end brands, and the quality of leather goods are comparable or higher. Overall Ferragamo is a great place! My only critique would be that the store needs to be refreshed - it looks a little dated. read more

Go to Nordstrom to buy your Ferragamos. I own many pairs of Ferragamos, and they're one of my favorite brands. I've purchased every pair at Nordstrom, with the exception of one pair: I purchased a pair of Gomes' in the South Coast Plaza Boutique several months ago, and they ended up squeaking quite loud in both shoes. It was funny at first, and I thought that breaking the shoe in would fix the problem. I was unable to break the shoe in, the shoes just continued to squeak. I examined the problem and it looked like a flaw in the design of the shoe. I won't go into the details, since this is more about the customer service of the boutique. I drove up from San Diego to return the shoes, but was told by the manager that I couldn't do that, but they would be willing to repair the shoe. Repair a brand new shoe? In my mind if you purchase a brand new shoe that needs to be repaired, there's something wrong. I know if I purchased the shoes at Nordstrom, it would have been a very customer focused, seamless event. Not the case at the boutique. They ended up shipping my shoes to New Jersey and returning them to me seven weeks later. At one point someone called me and tried to charge me for the repair, when I told her the repair should have been for free, she tried to charge me to ship the shoes to me in San Diego. Unreal. When I got the shoes back, of course the issue wasn't fixed the shoes still squeaked, but in addition the the squeaking, a popping noise was coming out of the sole of the left shoe. The shoes came back curled up, like they were put in a vice. Hey look, the bottom line is that a place like this should have top notch customer service, and should be focused on cultivating relationships. This was a pair of $600 shoes, whose construction should have been flawless. Rather than focusing on the customer, the manager focused on saving a buck and alienating me. If you have problems with your shoes, expect a hassle from the manager at this location. Just save yourself the trouble and go to Nordstrom. Those folks are always on top of their game. Came to this store couple times to check out the leather wears, and sadly they do not replenish their inventory that well and do not keep stock of popular sizes like 10. Also watch the shoes that you get, some of them might have been tried and you can see wrinkles and blemish/poor stitching on them. When you are paying $700+ for a pair of shoes I am pretty sure you don't want to get something that have been wore/tried by many others right? Back to my story, I inquired about a pair of Fenice when Kathy was helping me, and they did not have any of the 9, 9.5, 10, asked about the Paris and Cipro, both no sizes too. DUH? Was asked to check back on Monday, called and nothing. So ended up getting them from Nordstrom instead, which they did not have them in stock too but was able to ship to my home within 2 days. read more

You must understand "luxury" to understand the product, the policies, and the wear of such beautiful leathers/products. It's like your favorite leather jacket, it gets better with age. You've earned each "beauty mark" on it. I wish everyone could understand that kind of luxury. The SCP team/staff is impeccable.....I know from personal experience, and being an 11 year elite client, I can't pick a favorite. When I shop, I usually know exactly what I want and am usually just very particular about things. I'm also neurotic so when things go wrong, I really stress out to the point of needing to just sedate myself with something. In spite of how busy things can get over the holidays and during, Jessica helped me get exactly what and the entire experience was just easy and flawless. She's super sweet and everything I needed arrived beautifully packaged. This store is one of the most well stocked of the Ferragamo boutiques on the West Coast and are usually the ONLY ones that carry my size in shoes, so I'm definitely a fan and will be back! read more

My mom and I have been going to this particular Ferragamo boutique for years. Our sales rep is Jessica and she is the sweetest ever. She does not pressure you into making purchases and makes you feel at ease. My mom and I have small feet and buy our shoes from here. She brings out our sizes and similar styles in those sizes for us to try on. Shipping (usually from Hawaii) from elsewhere is not a problem at no cost on our end. She is very friendly and pleasing to work with. My mom and I have been going to Jessica for years. If she is unavailable, then we come back some other time to make purchases. This is defenitley one of the best retailers to go to, not really crowded, and the worker was pleasant, I am very surprised how pleasant he was even if I was in a regular sweat suit. I opted for some shoes, a shirt, and some jeans, and the individual who helped me was very patient and kept a casual conversation which I appreciated a great deal, I already knew what I wanted before I came into the store, however I appreciate that it was a pressure free enviornment and that sales people weren't down my throat this is very very very good. I like that even when I was sitting down I was offered cofee!!!!!! while trying on shoes, I was like wow this is very good, not being generalized because I have on a sweat suit, and also being offered coffee? very good. Ferragamo is known as the shoemaker of the stars, and there is seriously no doubt about it. It is the master of all leather shoes and bags although I still prefer buying it in Italy where it originated. I go to Costa Mesa often and the staff are very friendly and helpful especially Linda Chan the sales supervisor. The price is quite expensive but you see, you pay for its quality and it will surely last you a lifetime. Ferragamo is timeless and classic. Go give yourself a treat sometime! read more

I am not a target demographic for this brand, yet I was greeted and helped by a sales representative as soon as I walked in. The sales representative was professional and answered my questions. I originally went in for a suggestion on where to take my handbag for repair (from another designer). They not only told me, gave me a card, but convinced me that I needed a new Fall Ferragamo bag. I was recently shopping in the Salvatore Ferragamo store located in The Plaza and had such an awesome experience so I just had to write about it. I was given assistance by Kimberly, as well as the store manager, Rachelle, who served me champagne, which elevated by experience at the store even more! As both Kimberly & Rachelle were assisting me in trying on a couple different pairs of fabulous heels I noticed how well all of the employees were working together helping other guests and they always had a smile on their faces even when dealing with a difficult customer, which I happened to observe. I was so disappointed in this individuals attitude & manners, but as far as the employee goes, she handled this woman's very unreasonable complaint like a champ; I think her name was Gabriella, so needless to say I was quite impressed! I ended up not being able to decide between the two different pairs of heels I was looking at; therefore I ended up purchasing both, and will definitely be returning to purchase a handbag that caught my eye while at the store. I would absolutely recommend a trip to Salvatore Ferragamo at The Plaza; I can guarantee that you will have an amazing experience, not to mention have the opportunity to peruse many, many fabulous items!
