Kansas and New York cut steaks cooked medium and medium rare with chimmichurri and the Gorgonzola sauce

Went for Valentine's Day. A nice vibe to the restaurant. Our waiter was so sweet and attentive. I wish I could remember his name I know he had dimples ! Our food was amazing. We tried the octopus for an appetizer, wow !!! We both did steaks (Kansas/NY cut). Again amazing and cooked to perfection. We finished off with a fudge cake with gelato (I think). Amazing !!!! We might make this our go-to spot as we are local to the area. Recommend this place !

There wasn't a good balence in service. Either I wasn't tended to or when I was it was like over compensating. While sitting at the bar they favorited certain people. For the food the fried provolone was tasty despite not looking appealing. The house garlic bread was really nice. The spicy pasta was just ok. Lacked depth of flavor. Steak was most disappointing part of the meal. Was tough had no real flavor clearly relying on the sauces. The roasted potatoes were not good. Overly sauced and not crispy. The mushrooms were just ok nothing special.

Steak was perfectly cooked at a medium rare temp for Ribeye and medium for Filet. Mashed were 3/5, carrots were 4/5, garlic spinach 3/5, and mushroom onions 4/5. Employees were very nice and accommodating for how busy they were. The ambiance was very nice, bar area was packed. Parking was ok considering the snow. Will return.

Wish I could rate this higher, perhaps they will work out the kinks in time. We sat at the lovely outdoor bar, and you could tell the staff were overwhelmed. The kitchen was backed up and the food was slow. We ordered the house salad and a pasta to start. The salad said it had candied walnuts, but came with regular walnuts (it was one of the reasons we got it, so a bit disappointing). The pasta never arrived - our bartender said initially, it was coming, just a little behind. 60 minutes later he comes by to apologize and say "they ran out of pasta" (that is a first - who runs out of non-homemade pasta). We also ordered the bone in rib eye, with carrots and fries as the sides. Took 90 minutes to get it, but the steak was cooked perfectly (my only gripe is they put a bunch of garlic on the steak - should just be salt, maybe pepper). The brought the fries, but never brought the carrots. I'm sure I could have asked for them to fix it - but again, they were overwhelmed, so I let it slide. All in - there's potential here, they just need better management/organization (and no garlic on steak).

As a girl's night tradition, my friends and I look to find a new restaurant to try, and Salvatore's Steakhouse did not disappoint. The location does lend itself to some tricky parking; however, after having already parked, I was informed the lot in the back has spots for customers. The restaurant interior was beautifully decorated with ample and comfortable seating. The menu offers a large selection of drinks and food choices. All the entrees (including steak dishes!) came with the choice of two sides. I ordered the American lamb loin chops with a side of wild mushroom sauté and spinach with parmesan pesto. The loin chops were 3 5oz portions, cooked to the perfect temperature, and each packed with flavor and not much fat. The sides were a generous portion, resulting in the need to take some leftovers of my meal. My friends had ordered the steak and fish and were also happy and satisfied with their meals. I look forward to returning to Salvatore's and would highly recommend!

Lamb chops with mashed potato and asparagus

What a great meal ,lamb chops were superb, the house salad was a meal in its own and great salad dressing My wife had the seafood casserole, another great meal My brother in-law had the Kansas City Strip, perfectly cooked and tender Great restaurant and service was top notch Will go back when the patio is finished The only thing is it's a bit noisy and need to add some decorative noise panels This was a Wed and place was packed so make reservations you will be very happy and full with enough for dinner the next night

ALERT: New Steak House. Great atmosphere. Food is unbelievable and reasonable. It must be 2018. Local vibe. Family owned. Check it out.

Just when we thought it couldn't get any better than the first time we went , and it was even better and why you ask ? Because the menu had some different things ( as if it wasn't one of the Best steakhouse menus already ) haha . So we found out they try to change it monthly wow , love that concept So with that I had to try the "Wellington " now this was a pork not a beef and all I can say is if you're lucky enough to go when it's on the menu , get it . Oh my goodness, tender and perfect pastry crust . Everything was Delicious and the service this time by Heather was beyond exceptional. Courtesy and attentive to all her patrons . Made some nice cocktails and was so appreciative. What a lovely soul The whole staff is so welcoming Highly recommend this restaurant it's a very relaxed atmosphere and the steaks are pretty good and trust me we've been to many steakhouses / restaurants. They're holding there own

I've been wanting to try Manjares for drinks and a bite since I already know how good their baked goods are for breakfast. Tonight was our chance despite traffic jams on the Parkway and snow drifts that makes parking everywhere in New Haven a treasure hunt. Decor is beautiful, ambiance is chill and relaxing. Very reminiscent of Olea without the downtown hustle and bustle. Menu is small yet carefully curated with something for everyone. We came specifically for potatoes bravas, one of our favorites. Saw it on the menu online but was told it was no longer available. Our server, Tabitha, suggested some Yucca fries which was not on the menu but she made a request to the kitchen for us. They were delicious and honestly if they were in the menu we would've ordered that as well. Fried calamari was seasoned and fried to absolutely tender perfection. The coating was light and crispy. My wife loved the aioli and picked onion combo on it. I preferred the lemon. Both of us decided to get a pasta course, bolognese and carbonara. For a non-Italian place to cook both of these dishes with such perfection blew us away. Flavorful bolognese that wasn't drenched in tomato sauce coated the al dente rigatoni perfectly. The carbonara was rich and savory with a little pepper accented by the guanciale. My wife had issues finishing ir and I suggested taking it home. She then finished it out of spite I believe. For $25 each, the pasta dishes were both satisfying without making you feel so full and bloated that you needed a wheelbarrow to get you back to the car. Plenty of food for even the biggest eater. Well worth the money. The attention to depth of flavors was evident. These were not some thrown together pasta dishes. Our compliments to the chef. Tabitha was great. Her cocktails were fantastic. She was attentive without being intrusive and has a great sense of humor. We are definitely coming back.

He and his lovely wife Ana have created a little haven in the neighborhood. The food was excellent-- my friends and I enjoyed the fried artichoke salad, grilled octopus, crispy calamari, the branzino and the carbonara. And our server Tabitha took such good care of us to top it all off! A great start to the weekend.

My expectations were high for this place. The ambiance, decor and location are all on point. Cozy,…read morechic, New England vibes. My friend and I started with a glass of wine, and the service in the beginning was good. However things quickly went downhill. This library proves you can't judge a book by its cover. We ordered the calamari appetizer. When it arrived, I opened my silverware from the napkin and discovered that my fork was filthy-- a giant glob of white, crusty food, the size of a dime, was still stuck between the prongs. I waited for my waitress to check in (she didn't deliver the food) but she never came. We tried to get the attention of another waitress and were ignored. After 10 minutes, with my calamari growing cold, I eventually walked to the bar to get a replacement. The bartended exclaimed, "Gross!" -- my sentiments exactly-- when I showed him the fork. By the time I actually sat down to eat, the calamari was cold. It was also super tough and chewy. There were hardly any peppers. We didn't eat much of it. I love French food, and I ordered the duck for dinner. I ordered it medium. When it arrived, it was cooked well done- perhaps in an oven rather than seared. I say this because the skin was not crispy and the fat had not rendered, so the skin/fat remained thick, chewy and inedible. Usually the crispy skin is the best part of duck, so I was disappointed. I had to cut off the skin and thick layer of fat to make it edible. It tasted quite gamey and there was no pink center. It came sliced into thirds, so they knew it was overcooked when they served it to me. I only ate a small portion. The rest of my dish (which came out looking stunning by the way) was also a big disappointment. Although it looked beautiful at first glance, I discovered the delicata squash still had the rough, inedible skin attached. The cherry sauce was heavy-handed and drowned my brussel sprouts, sweet potato purée and carrots to the point that all I could taste was the sauce (a thick, sugary glaze). I did my best to eat around it, because my waitress didn't check on us until much later. In fact we were basically done by the time I saw her again. I had given up at that point and left most of my food behind. There was also an issue with where we were seated. We had a small table in front of a window, but completely blocking a much larger table in a narrow corner. There was a family there when we arrived, and each time they got up to use the bathroom, I had someone's body pressed against my chair to squeeze by. A woman's behind actually grazed the back of my head at one point. When the family left, I could feel them brushing my coat off the back of my chair, resulting in them stepping on it. I can't blame them- it was a tight spot and a very awkward place for a table. I was annoyed that the waitstaff (I'm assuming) took the other chairs at my table, making a 4 seat table into a 2 seater, so I had no choice in where to sit. I didn't understand why they did this, because there was a lovely fireplace nearby and I had my back to it all night. Clearly, they weren't thinking about the dining experience from the customer's point of view. Maybe I could have switched tables but finding my waitress was like trying to find Waldo all evening, so it wasn't worth the hassle. Safe to say I won't be back. If you decide to try it out, be sure to get there early as parking is a pain to find at peak dinner hours.

Some finishing salt would have been welcomed. My wife had the scallops and was so happy with the root veggies as she does not do glutton or flour and most places put it over something she can't eat. Christmas lunch has got to be the best because we usually order 2 or 3 of most of the appetizers, a couple of each of the pasta dishes, a couple of each entree and then we end our meal with coffee and dessert. We were seated at the front of the restaurant at table for set for 14, surrounded by windows on all sides. We started with the hot Antipasto Caldo, from the dinner menu, Calamari, Calamari New York style, and Broccoli Rabe with Sausage. A few of us had garden salads with a super garlicky dressing. We ordered the Penne Amatriciana, Gnocchi Napoletana, Penne Vodka. I only had four of the Penne Vodka and two Gnocchi, but what I had was good.
