    8" cheesesteak and salad
    Joe K.

Stopped by Mancino's for lunch with co-workers for the first time... Very average. I've heard a lot of chatter about Mancino's from friends and colleagues, so I gave it a go... The service was great (the woman running the counter, who I believe was the manager was really friendly), but the food was just ok. I ordered a half cheesesteak and salad... On the surface, it looked like a lot of food, but it was really just a lot of bread. Mancino's makes all their own bread, which is pretty cool, and it's solid (probably the best part about the restaurant). As for the cheesesteak and salad, they were bland... The cheesesteak was what I presumed was frozen/prepackaged steak (maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt it), a very small portion of steak that desperately needed to be seasoned - The meat had no flavor. The salad was okay, but nothing to write home about... It was a big salad (which came with a slice of garlic bread), but was made with iceberg/head lettuce - Not a big fan of that (I really wish restaurants would spend the extra few bucks and serve romaine or mixed greens, etc., because iceberg lettuce has no flavor). The restaurant was clean inside, and had a large dining room, but didn't have that many tables (kind of weird)... The dining room definitely needs a facelift because it looks 25+ years old. All-in-all, Mancino's wasn't bad, but I won't go back... Penn Station, Pot Belly, Jersey Mikes, and Firehouse are much better.

We have been frequent customers of Mancinos for what seems like forever. They have always been our go to for Grinders because their bread is a homemade ciabatta type which is always freash & complimenting. Especially when ordering an Italian. On Sat 8/18 I ordered a full grinder to take home after work...drove 12 miles home to find THEY HAD CHANGED THEIR BREAD!? It was the consistancy of a Subway Italian bread sub. NOT what we had expected to come the cherished Mancino's we have been frequenting for years. Sad day.

    Menu. Lots to choose from.

Delicious pizza! Their grinders are top notch too! Service is friendly. Not the cheapest place for pizza, but it was worth the money.

Don't Let the Exterior Fool You--This Place is an Absolute Gem!…read more If you are just driving past, you might completely miss Salvatori's since it's attached to an older gas station. But don't let that fool you for a single second. Step inside, and you're instantly met with a cozy, inviting, and bustling little neighborhood Italian joint that packs a serious punch. ### The Vibe & Service The New Haven spot is small--it only seats about 48 people--which actually gives it an awesome, high-energy, intimate atmosphere. Even when they are absolutely slammed with dine-in, carryout, and catering, the service is lightning-fast and genuinely friendly. The staff treats you like regular family the minute you walk through the door. ### The Food The portions here are massive, and the value for what you pay is incredible. If you leave this place hungry, that is completely on you. * **The Dough:** It's easily some of the best tasting, freshest dough in the area. Whether it's their garlic breadsticks or the crust on their pies, they nail the texture perfectly. * **The Calzones:** They are absolute monsters. The *Abruzzo All Meat Calzone* and the *Salvatori Supreme* are loaded to the brim, baked beautifully, and served with a killer pizza dipping sauce. * **Veneto White Pizza:** If you want to skip the traditional red sauce, this is a must-try. The combination of chicken, alfredo, mushrooms, and fresh basil on that signature crust is top-tier. * **The Pastas:** They offer half-plate and full-plate options. The full plates are massive enough to guarantee lunch for the next day. The lasagna and the rich meat sauces taste like they've been simmering all day long. ### The Verdict Salvatori's New Haven proves that some of the absolute best food comes out of the most unassuming places. It's affordable, hearty, authentic comfort food served by great people. Just make sure to get there a little early if you want a table, or call ahead for carryout--it's a local favorite for a reason!

So it was being held at a very high standard for the other three who had not been there. It did not disappoint. The bread sticks were nicely cooked, airy with holes in the middle and choice of sauces. Manicotti with meat sauce, fettuccine Alfredo add chicken, spaghetti and meatballs and a small pizza were all delicious. They do have a gluten free option. Single bathroom that can accommodate a wheelchair but likely not a large enough turning radius. It is attached to a gas station so that would be alternative option. Sangria was on par, not too sweet. Server's are all experienced and very nice. Management checked on table to insure food was good. Full size portions are enormous. We definitely have left overs.

Being that it is a private club probably explains the smoke filled dining room. We ordered a pizza. It was next to impossible to find a menu anywhere on the internet. What little information we could find indicated they had 10 and 14 inch pizzas. We ordered a 14 inch supreme pizza. It was made by Betty. She was really nice and took our order. It would be ready in about 30 minutes. "Did you want anything else" she asked. Well I don't know. Without a menu, I had no idea what else I could get for carry out. We arrived at the appointed time. We had to get buzzed in to get past the front door lock. The pizza was excellent. Ingredients were spread across evenly, and I-kid-you-not, were an inch high. I am not sure how Betty did it, but the crust was crispy, and the ingredients were done and the cheese melted. Kind of like the pizza TRI-FECTA! Since we were not members it was carry out which was just fine. Nice sturdy box. We ate it at the motel and made everybody else jealous who walked in or out during the next 45 minutes. Only think I missed was a packet of dry red pepper flakes. We couldn't eat anywhere all of the 14 inch I ordered. Packed it in to the cooler. This morning I stripped a couple of the pieces of their toppings, warmed it up in a skillet, then added some eggs for scrambling. No complaints from my dear wife. Tonight I think I will use the toppings to make an enchilada stuffing. Maybe cut the crust into strips and warm them up in a toaster and dip them in cheese sauce. Oh. For the pizza purists out there, the pizza is cut into squares. I am used to that, having grown up in Pizza King land, but I have had some easterners have a conniption fit. It is bothers you, I'll bet Betty would cut it into wedges. Siskel and Ebert--Two thumbs up!

The place is very dated and had an older decor and smell. It was pretty clean.

I was confused that the sauce options were not on the menu. However the kind bartender gave me an 8 pack of sauces to try. I found that the Carolina mustard sauce was my favorite. Very mild in spice. The consistency was also thin so it had trouble sticking to the wing. A slight mustard taste that accented the crispy fried skins nicely. This order had 10 nicely sized wings. The wing was was cooked perfectly - no pink on the inside. The skin was nicely crisp without being crunchy. Extra crispy wings have never been my favorite. However, Rack & Hellen's did an incredible job with these wings! I loved the onions rings. A large-thick piece of onion with a thick batter. The batter was moderately crispy but a bit oily to taste. Definitely recommend! The mac salad was very good. They use a larger shell along with egg and possibly onion. The mayo is pretty heavy. However the dish was pretty tasty! On this occasion I sat at the bar. The place was busy. There were plenty of servers hustling and helping each other. The bartenders were very kind and friendly. Antonio's, although there were literally a dozen or so places within walking distance from where I was having my Tire Service Service performed. It was between 2:30 - 3:00pm time frame. The employees were obviously tending to other priorities upon me walking in. I was greeted immediately by a pleasant young Man. After telling him my choice { 9 Hot wings w/Blue cheese & a Root Beer } I went ahead and seated myself. Although I requested Celery along with my Wings I was told they were out. I initially requested a Beer and was told they don't serve Alcoholic Beverages. Those two things were quickly put out of my mind as not mattering, I cant begin to stress that enough! The service was fantastic, ( professional & pleasant ). The Wings were lathered in a great sauce with quite the kick accompanied by just enough Blue cheese dressing to finish off the ninth Wing. Root beer served in a generous sized Tumbler and I was asked by the Female server if I'd like a re-fill to go, although I declined Her offer. All in all, this Restaurant was clean, neat, and the Service & Food scrumptious! To say I'd visit them again would be a gross understatement..! The 2 setbacks were no Celery and no Alcohol served. I say, "so what", to both of those issues. This place made me feel like a King. I will definitely go back and look forward to tasting a multitude of offerings on the diverse Menu. It was extremely obvious that meeting the Customers wants and needs in a professional & pleasant manner was their Mission Statement! Give this Restaurant a try.., you owe it to yourself to experience a Place where the Employees clearly aim to please..! THANKS B. ANTONIO'S...! You made me feel right at home...see ya soon I hope!!!

We got two sausage rolls, a medium pizza, and a small pizza for almost $50.00. The sausage rolls were a great price, but the pizza is way overpriced, in my opinion. Unfortunately, the food was a letdown, big time. The sausage rolls were kind of burnt on top, and the inside was not hot. The carnivore medium pizza was dry and overcooked, and when you grabbed a piece, all of the toppings fell off. The small Thai chicken pizza was overcooked, dry, and hard to eat. It was like eating cardboard. We tried to eat but threw most of our food away in the trash. I really want to go back and try others, but I don't know if I will, unfortunately.
