I had scheduled gel x with Sam and pedicure with Trini. This was my first time in a long time going to a nail salon. The check in process went smoothly. You check in on a tablet and I was seated almost immediately. The customer service was great. Sam ate down on my nail design. I'm glad I chose this nail salon for my birthday set. They take all forms of payment but prefer cash, just a heads up! I will be back again.

I've been trying to find a new nail tech ever since my previous tech stepped away to focus on motherhood (which I fully support), and honestly it's been harder than I expected to find someone who is both incredibly skilled and efficient. Before coming here, I was used to appointments taking 3-4 sometimes 5 hours, especially with private nail techs. And at a lot of typical nail shops I've gone to in the past, they didn't really care about the health of my natural nails either. Once my friend recommended this place to me, I knew I had to give it a try. I mentally prepared myself for another super long appointment or a mid experience in general. But because the design I picked ended up being way more detailed than I originally realized ... Sam absolutely exceeded my expectations. He was attentive throughout the entire process, constantly checking in to make sure I liked the shape, color, and details every step of the way. Even with a more complex design, he still completed everything in around 2 hours, which honestly shocked me in the best way because the quality was still there. Beyond the nails themselves, I really loved the atmosphere here. Everyone seemed genuinely friendly, welcoming, and happy to be there, which made the experience feel comfortable and fun instead of stressful or rushed. Overall, I'm really happy with my set and definitely see myself coming back. I just need to be more mindful next time before I accidentally choose another super detailed design during a busy day

I have been coming to Sam Nail Bar since the beginning of this year after my coworker recommended Dan & Sam to me as I was looking for an alternative to gel-x. I like how they offer poly gel since I feel like not as many places that I know offer it at a reasonable price AND do amazing designs as well (it can be hard to find a place that does both ). They are also open every day now and are usually easy to book an appointment with and super accommodating. Everyone is friendly as well and makes sure to include you in the design/color process the whole time!

I came here to get a soak off for acrylic nails and Tiffanny was my nail tech. I called beforehand to see it they were available and they were able to take me in! She was working on a customer and asked me to wait which I didnt mind. I ended up waiting for maybe 20 minutes but was still provided with excellent service. Later on, I believe the owner Sam told me thank you for waiting and gave me a discount which was really nice! I would definitely recommend to come here and get your nails done. I can't say enough good things about this nail salon. The owners, Sam and Dan, are wonderful, and honestly every nail tech here is kind, welcoming, and gives off such good energy. You can really feel that they care about their clients and the environment they've created. I'm pretty picky when it comes to nail art style and I hate spending too much time at the salon but Dan has completely changed that for me. He makes every appointment enjoyable, and I actually look forward to getting my nails done now. He always kills it on the designs I ask for, gives thoughtful input when I ask for advice, and works super efficiently without the service ever feeling rushed. My nails last so well too!! It lasts almost five weeks and even then, the worst I'll get is a tiny chip on the sides (which is mostly my fault because I'm really rough with my hands). The quality and attention to detail really speak for themselves. Overall, I highly recommend this nail salon if you're looking for talented artists that are up to date with trends, great vibes, and long-lasting nails.

I've been to this salon before and had a great experience with Dustin, who was professional and clearly experienced. This review is specifically about my experience today with Bonnie, and not the salon overall. I asked for a simple builder gel refill with plain white polish. From the start, she didn't really engage and checked her phone frequently, which felt like her attention was elsewhere and very unprofessional since I had no designs for reference. I also overheard her speaking in Vietnamese multiple times about being hungry and saying she might faint. That may have been an exaggeration, but it gave me the impression she was rushing through my set so she could go eat. I understand being a walk-in, but I still expect the same level of care as a scheduled appointment. It was also uncomfortable hearing her talk about the situation in another language while I was sitting right there. When I politely asked her to fix a small area with missing polish, she rolled her eyes and complained to her coworker instead of just explaining that she would be filing over that area anyways. There was also no cuticle care at all (cutting or oiling), and she left polish on my skin that I had to scrape off myself, which should be cleaned up before curing to avoid irritation. After leaving, I noticed bumps in my nails and a streaky topcoat with visible gaps. For such a simple set, the quality was disappointing. It felt rushed and careless. My cousin also had Bonnie previously and had a similar experience, including being hurt during filing. I really liked this salon the first time I came, but this visit was disappointing.

I've been looking for a place to get my refills closer to home and I've finally found a place I want to keep going to! I get nervous when getting my nails done at a new place because my nails/fingers can be sensitive, but Trini did such an amazing job and gave me a perfect builder gel refill with french tips. I got to choose my base + tip color, which was nice since some places already choose a base color for french. There was a wide variety of colors and everyone worked fast but Trini kept asking if I liked my nails throughout the process which was very considerate of her. Had an appointment scheduled for 10am for a pedicure and gel removal and I arrived promptly and the nail tech I had made an appointment with was not there and was told someone else could help me. Overall, the appointment took over 2.5 hours, which I find ridiculous... The pedicure portion was fine and nothing really to write home about. The gel removal for my nails was an experience. The nail tech was cutting my nails with a nail clipper and I kid you not, my nails trimmings were being flown across the room and almost hitting customers who were seated and waiting for their appointments. And then the nail tech was asking me why I wasn't getting a new set almost in a disapproving way, and then just assumed I wanted a square nail shape when my nails were oval shape at the appointment. There is plenty of parking because the plaza is pretty inactive and there is ongoing construction at the big street in front, which was being blamed as the reason my original nail tech was running late. And then I come to find out from overhearing other conversations that this construction has been going on for a while so there was really no excuse to being late. So if you are looking for nail services to be punctual and mindful of time, I'd make sure to leave plenty of time for your appointment. read more

The overall vibe is great, everyone is super nice and kind. They did their best to replicate the inspo pic and did a pretty good job replicating it. I've always jumped from nail salon to nail salon since I never found a nail tech that I really, really loved and that has finally changed! I've had a few sets done here so far and I've been so happy with them every single time. Both Dan and Sam have done my nails and they are so friendly, have great attention to detail, and are so artistic. My nails usually lift after two weeks or so, but they've been lasting for at least three after I started getting them done here. Def recommend! read more

I got a manicure with cat eye and a gel pedicure here for the first time. The owner was really nice and the area was clean. Tiffany did my manicure and was super detail oriented, Kathy did my pedicure and did a pretty good job too. I was a bit bummed that one of my nails chipped after 4 days, but the rest stayed intact for the wedding I'm attending. Overall paid around 100$ plus tip. read more

Came in for a chrome pedicure and a cute Easter-inspired spring manicure, and had such a great experience. My nail tech was incredibly kind, talented, and attentive--I showed him what I wanted, and he brought it to life perfectly, even refining the design so it looked more cohesive and would last longer. We chatted the entire time, and I felt so comfortable with both him and the receptionist, who was just as warm and welcoming. The pricing is very reasonable, too. Highly recommend! read more

I'm extremely picky with my nails and I have yet to find somebody that would meet my needs with what I wanted for my nails and I definitely found it here. I met Dan today and he was super nice. You just know when you find your next nail spot! I didn't request anyone specifically as I really needed an appt before my trip. Dustin did my nails with attention to detail, asked me if each details were okay and fixed it easily if there was anything off. I would not be surprised if all of their techs are just as good. Definitely a cute, close knit vibe in here amongst coworkers which isn't always the case in nail salons. read more

Amazing Service and very fast too. I decided I'd come just for a manicure from Sam, but resulted in getting a pedicure as well. His work is super clean, capturing my inspo picture perfectly. He was well at making sure I liked the shape, color, and designs, checking in at all times even a bit of small talk. Environment was welcoming, wonderful receptionists and lady whose name I unfortunately did not ask but she worked on my pedicure! Respectful and also insured I like the French tip shape. Everyone was so nice and not to mention how well they did their work. I was nervous going to a salon and getting the bee nails but they turned out perfect. I got Gel X extensions with French tip and design, I also had nails from a previous salon taken off for an extra 5 dollars. I believe I paid 95 total. My friends paid about 60-80 total with tip. It was very calm and peaceful inside and great vibes. I recently went again and got my toes done, I got gel polish and unfortunately after 2-3 days they had already chipped. Every time I come in with a new nail design, Dan always takes it to the next level to not only elevate the design, but also to add his own touch to it. I love the attention to detail and precision that is used for each nail which has led me to have 3-4+ week retention and I have never broken a nail. Ladies, say hello to your new go-to nail technicians!! I have been Sam & Dan's customer for almost a year now, and I will keep coming back due to their amazing and quality service! Their new salon is vibrant and welcoming, and the new technicians they have are also very experienced at their craft. Their prices are very fair for the quality you receive, and I am happy to say the builder gel sets I get from them have never chipped (I have had some of my sets for over a month)! I'm hesitant to write this because selfishly i don't want them to get too busy!! I have seen Dan and Tiffany both and they have both done an amazing job!! They're very sweet too, and affordable!! I got stuck in horrible traffic tonight and was almost 30 minutes late, last appt of the day and they still took me and didnt give me a hard time (I did call ahead). Towards the end the guy working the reception area came over and helped Tiffany with polishing so we could be done sooner. Love that extra attention in a world where customer service has really gone downhill in other places. read more

This time, I didn't realize I had been assigned to Emillee again. During the waxing, I repeatedly asked her to be gentler because the pain was unbearable, but she continued anyway. The experience was extremely painful, and afterward my skin developed blisters. I've had waxing done many times before, including by other staff at this location, and I've never experienced anything like this. Throughout the appointment, she repeatedly commented that I had darker skin and darker hair. Those comments made me feel very uncomfortable and singled out. I also noticed her adding something to the wax during the appointment, although I wasn't told what it was. In addition, wax was spilled on both the floor and the table, making the entire appointment feel disorganized and unprofessional. During the service, I told her how much pain I was in and warned that I would consider taking legal action if my skin was injured because I felt my concerns were being ignored. Despite that, the service continued without any noticeable adjustment. Overall, this was one of the worst waxing experiences I've ever had. Based on my experience, I would not book with Emillee again.

I do not think they keep track of appointments and, if they do, I simply cannot imagine how. I have tried texting and the response I get every time is "ok", even if I ask a question in my appointment request. I've tried making an appointment online and the appointment slots are always available and open, which can't be true. While in the salon, I've seen them answer the phone when someone calls to make an appointment, they are always on speakerphone, and I have never seen anyone write anything down after the phone call, they say ok and then just continue to work. Out of the 5 or 6 times I've been here I have only been seen at the time of my appointment once. Once! I am often waiting 30-45 mins and I stay because I have a very tight schedule and make appointments on the only days I can. I'm currently sitting waiting for my 5:00 appointment and it is 5:40 and there are 5 others also waiting, though I don't know what time their appointments are or were. (At 5:06 my manicurist asked me to wait 15 mins and I said fine....but I ended up leaving at 5:45 because she was doing someone's pedicure.) I have always been happy with the services I've received here and their prices are reasonable, which are the reasons for the 2 stars, but I simply will not be back due to their constant lack of respect of "appointment times".

I was a first-time customer at Sam Nail Bar today and felt compelled to leave this review after witnessing a very unfair situation. I was at the back of the salon while my friend was at the very first table, and she could literally hear everything from start to finish. The salon was extremely busy. In fact, I had to be flexible and come in later than my original time just to help them manage their tight schedule. When the customer who left the 1-star review walked in, the staff explicitly told her they only had a gap for a gel pedicure. My friend at the front heard this clearly, and I heard the same from the back. Later, when she demanded acrylics and builder gel, the staff simply couldn't do it because they were fully booked. They were professional and remained polite despite the pressure. To claim "if you aren't Asian or white they won't treat you good." just because a busy business can't break their schedule for a walk-in is completely false and damaging. This salon treats everyone with respect and they value their clients' time. Please don't let one misleading review overshadow the hard work and honesty of this team! Even my teenage son noticed the difference when I showed him my new nail set. These are his exact words: "Wow! Mom. This new place compares to your old place is like instant noodles versus a ramen shop." I personally think that is the highest compliment one can get from a kid's perspective.
