To prepare for the delivery of a new clothes washer, I tried to turn off the hot and cold water valves and unhook the water hoses. When I tried turning off the hot water valve, the valve broke into pieces and I was stuck with quite a problem. Sam was the only person out of many that responded to my call for help. Sam is very creative and has a lot of ingenuity. He was able to create a new handle for the valve and it works perfectly. Called Sam back again because the first door handle was bent and unable to install. We had a hard time getting the company to replace it - unfortunately, the second handle was bent as well. So we have to get another handle and call Sam back -- I told him to charge us for his time anyway, and was told we would not be charged because the job wasn't completed. No fault of Mr. Russo, in fact, his installer was able to straighten the handle, but the thumb turn would not fit on our door. We will try again with new hardware. His company is our go to for sure. I reached out to Sam to install a ceiling fan in my master bedroom, as my current fan was broken and suffering through some of the warmer nights we had been getting lately was not ideal! Sam responded really quickly with a more than fair quote (especially compared to others I received), and was able to come by only a few days later. I've had some BAD experiences with other handymen and was pleasantly surprised at how easy Sam made this experience. He brought a blanket to lay down under his work area, which I really appreciated since I have a white rug directly beneath the fan. He was able to remove the old fan and install the new one in under an hour, and even explained why the old fan broke so quickly and helped resolve the issue so it wouldn't happen again. He cleaned up the area when he was done and left the old fan in a state in which I could easily dispose of it. He was very polite and personable, and had great customer service. Sam is a great handyman under any circumstances. That said, given the state of the world right now and the impact all businesses, but especially small businesses, are experiencing due to shelter-in-place restrictions, I'm of the opinion that Sam really is the best option for any handyman related work and would not hesitate to recommend him to others. read more
