Our front bumper had a major dent from a garbage truck dislodging a dumpster that was on wheels. First of all, Degrazia's gave me an estimate within the hour that I scheduled to bring it in to them. They let me know that they would be able to talk with the insurance of the at-fault party to ensure that the insurance would pay for the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and for the labor costs. They assured me that if the insurance offered a lower estimate that they could negotiate their prices to reach an agreement, so that I wouldn't pay anything. I thought it was a good sign that they had gotten a discounted price on the OEM bumper and so listed that price on the estimate, rather than charging the price that it would typically cost. Luckily, the insurance of the at-fault party was willing to pay for the labor costs and parts without an issue. DeGrazia's set up a rental car with the insurance for me and had my car ready within 72 hours of drop-off (dropped off on a Monday, picked up on Thursday). It couldn't have been easier. I made an appointment and arrived on time only to wait a half hour for an estimate. On of their staff said they were running behind and could not get an estimate that day, but would take a cell phone image and let me know. After not receiving a estimate for several days I went to two repair shop who both gave a examination and ended up with similar estimates. Classic eventually estimated a repair rather than replacement of the bumper at about half of the other shops, which the other shops repairs would crack over time. The insurance company who referred me to Classic says they will only pay what Classic quoted and if I went to the other shops I would have to pay the difference between what that amount was and the Classic number about $700.
