This place totally scammed me charged 340 for a dryer repair. Allowed me to put 175 down and said I could pay the rest later. They were fixing a dryer that wouldn't get hot. After a failed repair, I reached back out to have my dryer looked at since it was still under the repair warranty. On a Tuesday, they said they could not come back out until Friday. When I insisted that it was urgent they said they would check the schedule send call back that evening or the following morning. The evening after, I called back and they said someone would be out on Thursday by 4 pm send would provide a call 30 mins prior. It's now 5 pm with mo call and no tech. Their phone ettiquite is terrible and I never receive a follow up call when promised. I will never use this company again and would strongly recommend against using them. read more

We had the worst service with Sameday Repairs! Extremely unresponsive. Paul came to my house to look at my dryer and said he needed to order a part. I paid the $60 service fee and he left. I have called 3 times to follow up and it's now over a week and a half later. I was finally told by someone else that they may have the part tomorrow or sometime next week. I immediately called Appliance Services, Inc. and they came out the same day and had the heating element part in their truck. Very professional! Within 45 mins my dryer was fixed. I will NEVER recommend Sameday Repairs to anyone. Such a scam! read more

I called Singh on the Monday before Thanksgiving and he had me scheduled for an appointment on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We had a furnace issue that we were concerned about, with company coming to stay for the holiday and record low temps on the way, we were desperate! Singh showed up early in the scheduled window and determined the issue, contacted the manufacturer and arranged for parts and work to be completed THAT EVENING! I tried to talk him out of coming in the evening the day before Thanksgiving, I didn't want him to have to stay out late just for us, but he insisted and completed the work quickly! I am so thankful for the service we received and that we will now have heat for our holiday! He and his partner also fixed our refrigerator and dishwasher while here! This could be an ok repair company, except for the one person they hired to answer calls. They should consider hard replacing or re-train this person. Not sure if she is hired or the owner. But, she is the one you have to deal with the most (appointments, quote, billing). You really only deal with the repair man at the time of the diagnostic and repair but he doesn't answer anything else. The repair man is good, which is why I put 2 stars instead of one. The operator who answers all calls however, is a totally different story. There doesn't seem to be anyone else answering the phone other than this woman, who sounds very depressed and monotonous (all the time). She sounds like she does not like her job at all. No greetings, no common sense phone etiquette in general. What ticked me is when she represented me wrong info and didn't even bother to admit it, let alone apologize. At first she told me my appointment can be scheduled within the week. I had to check my family's availability, so I told her I have to call back. Then 2 hours later when I called back, she said I couldn't make any appointment for the week and being very snippy about it when I tried to remind her about our conversations earlier. Then 1 hour later calling me back to tell me I can actually make the appointment without acknowledging that she had made a mistake. Then it took her 2 weeks to send me the invoice. That's after 4 calls. First call to request it. 1 week later, 3 days later then the day after. At the last call, she said she did sent it the day before, then we validated that she got my wrong email. However, she then call me back to have me check how much the charge they applied to our credit card. After I told her the amount, she said thanks then hung up. What the heck??? I got the invoice few minutes later with the amount I told her clearly she just made that invoice. So making me doubt that she ever tried send me one eve with the wrong email. Never use "Sameday Repairs" 703-866-0766!! I needed my Thermador oven repaired and found them well reviewed online. They came out on 10/30 - while I was not expecting next day repair, based on the company's name, I thought at least in time for Thanksgiving! WRONG!!! After not receiving any follow-up after I week, I called. They did not return the call when they promised. Wednesday 11/15 I was about to try again and had a message. They gave me a ($750!) estimate to replace 2 parts, but said the parts would not arrive for another week. WHAT THE WHAT? No expedited shipping available, no offer of assistance or help, nothing. read more

The top tray of my 77-year-old mom's dishwasher appeared to be broken.What we did not notice is that there is a latch that had come undone. It is Same Day Appliance's policy that there is a $60 diagnosis fee, which goes toward the work if you decide to have the work done. When the guy discovered that the latch was undone and snapped it into place, his initial charge was $125. So, yep, no parts involved, instead apparently closing a latch is $65 worth of labor. I was not at my mom's house to refuse "the work" so that she would only be charged the diagnostic fee, but my mom did object to the amount. The repairman agreed that a total of $125 to click a latch into place was ridiculous, so he lowered the bill to $85. I think $25 labor for snapping a latch into place is still ridiculous. We were happy to pay the diagnosis fee, but even reduced, the "labor" fee seems exorbitant. I called the office and was told that a manager would call me back. This did not happen. I gave the service two stars instead of one because the repairperson arrived quickly and correctly diagnosed the problem. read more
