After going on a hike at the nearby Baldwin Hills Overlook we wanted to have some quick no waiting Indian food. This was the nearby choice and we found free limited parking in back. We picked a three item combo, garlic naan, plus a samosa on the side. They only serve vegetarian and no meat at all. The food was really good and had lots of flavor. We love hot and spicy food which this was not but we still enjoyed it very much. There's amply room inside to eat but many customers were taking it to go.

Quality customer service affordable freshness I definitely recommend this place. Great location and available parking in the back!

You can select a two or three combo plate that includes rice and bread of your choice. Everything is already made and placed in heaters to be scooped up onto your plate. Surprisingly, the vegan options weren't clearly marked and I mistakenly ordered a veggie chicken dish that ended up not being vegan. It was a mistake on my end to not ask, but I falsely assumed most items would be okay, but definitely double check to make sure. I went with their Daal, Jackfruit Curry, and another dish that I honestly can't remember because the food was fairly plain and basic. I appreciated having the veg options but nothing really blew me away or left a memorable mark for me. My friend seemed to love the samosas so I likely messed up by not ordering the restaurant's namesake. Next time!

I feel this place has gone downhill. This is for my brown brethren and sisters. Just wanted a small snack and I always want this to be good. But then it just kinda fails. Who puts Chana masala/chhole on bhel puri? Like what?I mean at least try to make an authentic dish. It's just hella soggy mess.

The food here is incredibly flavorful, fresh, and consistent. We ordered a mix of classics and everything was amazing: * Chicken Tikka Masala: Rich, creamy, perfectly spiced, and packed with tender chicken. * Saag Paneer: The spinach was perfectly seasoned and the paneer cubes were delicious. * Aloo Gobhi: Perfectly cooked potatoes and cauliflower with an excellent blend of spices. * Mulligatawny Soup: A comforting, deeply savory yellow lentil soup that hit the spot. * Naan: Soft, pillowy, and the perfect vessel for scooping up all the extra sauces. Delicious and authentic Indian food…read more My friend and I were seated quickly and our order was taken. Food was brought as it was ready. They forgot to bring the paneer dish we ordered but once we asked about it, they made sure to get it to us quickly and with a new basket of warm naan. The mango lassi was amazing. I absolutely loved the paneer butter masala and garlic naan. I will be coming back for those. The dosa was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the veggie samosas had a nice crunch. Lots of families come here to eat. This is the type of restaurant I would feel comfortable dining at alone as the waiters are very attentive and kind.

This is a completely vegetarian restaurant…read more I came here to get their spinach masala dosa because I love my spinach masala dosa from my favorite South Indian restaurant near home and I REALLY wanted to try someone else's version. We soon found out that their dosas are not gluten free. This was a really big bummer. But...good to know for anyone who is gluten free. They do put wheat flour into their dosas. We changed our order to two vegetables dishes. We ordered Bhindi (okra) fry and Saag Aloo (creamy puréed spinach with potatoes. My husband ordered a chili garlic naan. Both dishes came with a hearty amount of basmati rice. While we waited for our food, I noticed the restaurant was full of Indian people and a sprinkling of other people (including me) which I think is always a good sign when I'm ordering Indian food. True to my observation...Annapurna did not disappoint. The saag aloo was perfectly spiced and flavored and I really enjoyed the meal. The Bhindi was also very good. My only complaint is that the leftovers for the Bhindi were rather sparse! So overall i think they did a good job. I was disappointed about the glutinous dosas -- i called to double check and my favorite dosa place back home does not have gluten in its dosas. So key is always ask and don't assume there's no gluten. Even though i couldn't have the dosa, i still really enjoyed my meal. I didn't dock any points for the lack of gluten free dosa batter because my food was still very good and I felt like i wasn't missing anything. The service was very good. I want to give a shout out to Rush who was our waiter and was very helpful throughout the night. Parking lot was full. We found side street parking fairly easy.

I paused briefly to enjoy the tea while the kitchen busily prepared my meal. Staff were courteous and gracious. The kurma was full of mystical delights in a very smooth subtle sauce. We ordered takeout and were pleasantly surprised by how cheap the order came out to be (thinking that Abhiruchi just got set up on the app and was offering discounts to entice potential customers). However, I was underwhelmed by the food. The butter chicken was delicious -- well seasoned and not *too* overwhelmingly buttery/creamy. Gobi manchurian was also superb, but the batter was a little heavy so the cauliflower didn't maintain it's crispiness when it arrived at my place. I was most excited for the gutti vankaya (eggplant curry), but it was bland. The garlic naan was limp and flavorless as well. Disappointing.
