I spontaneously met up with an old (vegetarian) friend here for dinner and really enjoyed their non-meat options. We ordered the Jackfruit Jalfrezi and the Daring "Butter chicken" with imitation meat. I normally am not a fan of imitation meat, but both dishes were overly. The jalfrezi had an incredible flavorful profile and I loved the tang of the gravy. The rice and garlic naan were good, but nothing memorable by themselves. My drink, the NA Indian detox was actually a smash hit. Service was friendly, but the bathrooms were surprisingly dirty/old. The food was totally fine, but just fine. The curry fries were a decent snack but there was no particular synergy between the fries and curry, was kinda just fries with curry on top. Not bad. The butter chicken was tasty. A little too spicy and also there were still some bits/chunks of chili that made it particularly spicy for some bites and I had to take a break lol. The roti was not bad. The reason I'm giving 3-stars is because the value is terrible for fine food. Can get really delicious Indian food like this elsewhere for way better. I think the butter chicken was like $27 and didn't even come with rice : ( The portion was pretty large though. Maybe you should just share one between two people and add rice. This location has metered street parking in front or there is a paid parking garage around the corner. It was a Wednesday and the area was busy with samples. We were able to get a table right away. There is an outdoor patio or indoor seating with a full bar. It has low lighting inside and an open feel. Our waitress was busy and it took a while to get water refills and our order taken. I've been searching for good Indian food for a while, and this hit the spot! The patio had a great vibe and the weather was beautiful. Honestly, best butter chicken in LA. Also amazing samosas, other appetizers, and garlic naan. Slightly on the pricier side, as the entree doesn't come with rice nor naan, but it's so worth it for the absolute best Indian on the westside. DineLA Restaurant Week February 2026 It was the last chance for DineLA and while poking around on another social media platform, struck up a conversation about Indian food. That's how the craving hit. Downtown Culver City. If you know the area, you know it's parking structures. At least it is for me. I don't care for doing laps hoping to catch street parking - so I just pull right into one the structures. There's one less than 100 yards behind Arth Bar. Walked in early. Intentionally. It was a Friday and the last evening of DineLA just in case. It started to fill up as I left but it was nice to have the place to myself - chose to sit at the bar. There's also both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was excellent. Sitting at the bar, the bartender is right there. He was attentive, friendly and was able to help me choose which what extras to order, on top of the DineLA menu options. Enjoyed everything I ordered - not sure why the pics aren't populating. Portion sizes were more than I thought they'd be for DineLA so I ended up taking about half home for leftovers. Wish the dish was spicier however it was good flavor to the point I'd order it again and just ask to add the heat. The Naan was a little less garlicky than I'd like but I'd still order that again too. I'll just say that even the next day the leftovers heated up well and I devoured everything - not a morsel was left. I liked Arth Bar & Kitchen as adult beverages were also offered. Arth recently hosted friends and I for a joint celebration and overall enjoyed the nice ambiance, amazing cocktails, and good cuisine! Their staff did an excellent job communicating and checking in on us through out our dinner. Their cocktails seemed to be the shared favorite highlight of the meal from the table. I remember looking around and seeing like 6 of the same cocktail; Arth's Jal Jeera sunrise. In my best attempt at describing the consuming experience; its flavor and texture was similar to a pleasantly boozy mango lassi. Kindly sweet and a generous serving. I personally also loved their Mire meets Pedro. I love spicy cocktails with a kick and this one definitely had some horsepower. It's zingy sip had a good chunky sliced Jalapeño slightly charred in the drink. it was paired with a Tajin rim, which added another spicy element to mix with the Latinesque liquors of Mezcal/reposado tequila.. it was outstanding. We had gone family style on the food and enjoyed the appetizers (pictured) most! They were lovely bites and their sexy fries especially were a hit at our table! We also had some entrees and while the flavor was good in the butter chicken and masala plates we ordered I do wish we had it more spicy. There's no spice meter offered on the menu but certainly would have enjoyed the opportunity. Nevertheless our experience was very good. All they did was take the paneer tika masla and wrapped it Naan. Nice try but that's not called a Kati roll. This one I was highly disappointed in. However the Avacado bhel was good. Had some decent flavors. This one i would recommend but maybe a little Spicer if they have an option. Hakka noddles was the best dish. It was good simple load w some veggies. This spot has gone downhill. I have been to this restaurant multiple times since it opened and my most recent experience made me vow to never return. They are now consistently "short-staffed" or at least that is their excuse for poor service. Food came out without the bread. Had to wait 10 mins for that by which time the entrees were cold. Got multiple pieces of broken plastic in the kebabs. No one came to refill water at the table. Had to literally flag servers to get our orders. Chicken curry was more curry than chicken. Good Indian food! Nice ambiance inside, clean and smells good. They have a full bar too. I parked in a lot on Cardiff - they don't validate parking unfortunately but the rates aren't awful. We're dairy-free so we were a bit concerned since some Indian restaurants use a lot of heavy cream and cheese in their sauces, but after explaining our restriction to the waitress, she did explain we had some options. Though there aren't a ton of options... None of the Tandoor dishes can be dairy-free which is a bummer. Old Monk Drunken Wings: comes with 4. Generously sauced and pretty flavorful. Classic Samosas: comes with 2. Pretty big size. They're alright but I wasn't blown away by the flavor. Fish Moilee: we got it with shrimp (+$2). Really enjoyed the flavor of this dish. You don't get a lot of shrimp despite the hefty price, though. Homestyle Chicken Curry: We enjoyed this one too. Both this and the one above are good with rice and were a nice mix of different flavors. Besides these 2 entrees, we could have had the eggplant masala and the lamb kosha. So, not a ton of dairy-free options... 4 entrees to choose from. We ordered the cumin cilantro rice with our mains... don't think it's worth the extra cost to have it be "cumin cilantro", we couldn't taste the cumin at all. We also got rosemary garlic naan... also couldn't taste the rosemary. And then an order of garlic naan which was better. My friends found a couple of hairs in their food which wasn't the most pleasant surprise. They gave us a small discount on our meal after we told them about this which was kind. Dec '24 -- The butter chicken is worth doubling back for! I love good Indian food and with regard to that, I'm particular about where I go for it. This is now one of my TWO favorite Indian cuisine restaurants. Initially tried their food at a yelp event and once I discovered it was local, I eagerly went back because the sample of the dish I tried was so good. When dining, I sat at the bar and because I just dropped in solo, I couldn't try as much as I would have liked to. Everything smelled fragrant and delicious as plates passed me by. I had the butter chicken, saag paneer, and basmati rice. Everything was delicious! Parking was easy enough around the corner in a parking structure and service was ok. As an example, we asked how many pieces came in a chicken dish order and staff had no idea whatsoever. The lamb kebab was absolutely delicious. Would recommend this if someone came to the restaurant. The Tandoori chicken tasted quite bitter. The biryani was actually rice poured over some tiny pieces of chicken not an authentic biryani. I can't believe an Indian restaurant would serve a dish like this. Won't be coming back. The chefs really need to up their game. Fusion Indian food We came at brunch time and they had a special but limited brunch menu. Friend ordered the chicken and waffles and seemed to enjoy it. I got the hakkah noodles and it was spicy and seasoned well. I originally wanted a saag paneer but they don't offer that at brunch. The sexier fries were tasty and good for sharing. Amazing food and cost effective . I couldn't imagine that I could eat in $30 a full meal in LA. We had 4 people and we ordered butter chicken , panner spinach kofta , biryani , masala papad and soya chap. Quantity was enough for 4 of us . This location used to be my favorite spot - Ford's Filling Station - and this part of Culver City has changed a lot since then. With so many restaurants opening/closing nearby we waited a long time but Arth seems to have created a home for itself. We were up for some Indian/fusion and had no issue getting a reservation last minute for a Saturday night. Always prefer to sit at the bar and we had drinks (Harlan hazy is a SUPER good beer). Menu was pretty easy to understand being fans of Indian food. Samosas - usually these can be pretty dense but at Arth they were much lighter with two sauces (spicy/sweet) that were perfect and could have used a little bit more. Saag Paneer and garlic naan were both really good as you can eat that naan all night... The pistachio lamb chops were good but unimpressive as I had seen other reviewers post much better looking versions. It tasted good but you do eat with your eyes first and they didn't look great. Service was quick and friendly and we'll definitely come back - If you are not familiar with the area, the traffic and parking can be tough since the whole downtown Culver City area has been a mess since COVID. read more

When we got there, the menu is clearly Indian only, probably needs a reclassification on the Yelp page (in the interest of accuracy). Anyway, this did not deter us from enjoying the elegant decor and inside seating area, before ordering lunch. The first dish was the Shrimp Moilee (Coconut milk, Tumeric). It came out well presented with nice optics. The curry was thick, silky and with a satisfying flavor that was not overpowering. The six shrimp were cooked perfectly and delivered a fresh and fragrant bite. The second entree was the Signature Butter Chicken. Also well arranged, good color depth, with a distinct aromatic flavor. Basmati rice and Garlic Naan were the accompaniments. Culver City does have nice restaurants, but traffic in the restaurant area is always in gridlock. While it is frustrating to get in and out of the area, I still get attracted to its dining establishments and when I can drum up the drive (and patience), you will find me there. read more

Modern Indian cuisine in a casual atmosphere. Some interesting cocktails (both alcoholic and alcohol-free). For example, the tamarind refresher is delicious. The selection of beers is limited but the Harland hazy IPA I tried was a great accompaniment to the food. Most of the plates are great for sharing so it's better to under- than over-order. With how fast their kitchen is, you can always add more items. The avocado bhelpuri was presented as a towering volcano-like creation on the plate. It took some deftness to dig into it without spilling the food all over! The dish was delicious and was easily shared by 7 people (along with other appetizers). We went there for Saturday brunch. We got, PaniPuri, tandoori sliders and kathi roll, mango lassi and tamarind refresher for our mains and mango rasmalai for dessert. As we settled in, the lack of energy in the space became noticeable. Service was polite, but not engaged and there wasn't much attentiveness. We started with panipuri, expecting a burst of sweet, spicy, and refreshing flavors. Instead, it was all one not,no complexity, no sparkle. The Kathi rolls arrived soggy, weighed down by sauce, with spices so muted they were barely there. Roti and dal were fine, the fries were actually decent, but nothing on the table made us pause and say "wow." Situated in the middle of Culver City, this is a cute Indian fusion restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. There was lots of space inside, which is where we sat. The service was good. This is my goto spot for north Indian food in the area and one of the best Indian restaurants in the city in my opinion. Modern but casual ambience and service is quick. Probably my top pav bhaji spot in LA(not considering artesia). All the other food is on point too and very high quality, but the portions are a bit on the smaller side. Garlic Naan - It's 1 piece of average sized naan cut into 4. I wish it was bigger, especially since the waiter said it was good for 1 or 2 people - 1 if you really like naan. But it was so little for even just 1 person. Tasted great, I just wish they offered a bigger serving size and/or were more accurate with their portion recommendations. Wine - I can't remember the name of the white wine we got but they charged us a little over 40 dollars for this bottle. After our meal, we were curious to see what the up charge was and came to find out they sold us an 11 dollar bottle for over 40 bucks. Bad on us, but also bad on them! Food was super tasty; everything happening in the kitchen was superb!! My only true gripe with this place was the extremely expensive wine bottle for such poor wine quality. Had dinner with a friend here the other night. She picked the place and I was ready for something different. This place did not disappoint. Everything we had were amazing. The samosas, avocado bhel, mint chicken, dal makhmali, and garlic naan ... were just so delicious. We shared all the plates and did not leave a morsel behind. The servers were all very attentive. The papad chaat is basically like an Indian spin of chips and pico de gallo, except the chips are in cone form with the pico stuffed inside. It was okay. Samosas were also fine but not impressive. The entrees are where things really got good. Butter chicken was savory and delicious. Same for the chicken curry. The naan was fluffy and light. Four pieces for $5 was plenty. For drinks, I got the Mira meets Pedro, which is a margarita made with mezcal and tequila. It took some getting used to, but I found it refreshing. Service was very friendly and attentive.
