Bacon egg and cheddar with red raw onions on a toasted egg bagel with butter.

Sams is my #1 bagels spot. Bagels are baked fresh on site. It's not a huge place, but they do have seating available. It's a clean environment. They are quick to take your order and typically serve you fast.

Bacon egg and cheese on everything bagel

This has been our favorite bagel spot for years. They are open early (6am) BUT their grill won't be ready by then, so if you go there at that time before work, they will tell you that you'll need to wait a bit if you want to order any thing with bacon or sausage. Their bagel is has been our favorite and they always fill up the sandwiches, so you'll get a full hearty breakfast. Staff are always nice. I did notice however that their prices been going up (but times are rough so, I think that's inevitable, everyone is raising their prices) Most recently, yesterday I spent about $13 for a bacon and cream cheese on everything bagel, bacon egg and cheese on everything bagel, and a snapple

I wish I can give them 100000 starts . To be honest I don't know why I've never written a review on one of my favorite breakfast spots . My coworkers and I've been eating from Sam's for about 8 years now . Ive literally almost had everything on their menu and it's so much to choose from . 1st of all staff there are like family , as soon as one of us walks in they already know our names and our orders lol. Especially the delivery guy Miguel. He knows everyone in the neighborhood . One time I was at an appointment in Bay Ridge and he walked in to deliver food and the whole staff was like " hey Miguel what's up" and I was like wow Miguel your freakin popular lol. Anyways One of my absolute favorite things to order from here are their home fries oh my goodness to die for. Everything bagel toasted with veggie cream cheese, sausage/bacon egg and cheese on a toasted roll. Chicken salad on a toasted everything bagel with lettuce tomato onions and mayo. Their salads are actually very good and fresh my favorite one is the chef salad. There honey mustard dressing oh my goodness. And when I order my iced coffee, I usually order when ever I see sam there , he knows how to make it best in my opinion . I get an iced French vanilla iced coffee with half and half and he makes it the best. My office literally orders from Sam's every single day like we know the phone number by heart lol . Love this place , love you guys . Thank you for always feeding us lol.

Order take out - my favorite bagel in Brooklyn Toasted sesame bagel with cream cheese - bagel is not dense, not too chewy, not big, just perfect Toasted sesame bagel with bacon, egg and cheese - so good but it depends on who make it, not very consistent Def will come again

Montecristo Sandwich-turkey ham, swiss, lettuce, tomato, honey mustard on a roll. Pretty tasty!

Decent bagel shop with a deli sandwich options. Stopped by for lunch cause the brisket house was closed for afternoon prayer. Sam's has your basic options for bagels, spreads, and sandwiches. Espresso drinks are instant from a vending machine but ice coffee seemed fresh. Probably a 4 star rating for the food ( got the montecristo sandwich and a turkey provolone on everything bagel) if service was better. Waited 5 mins before the staff of 5 guys acknowledged us waiting to order. Seemed like they were too busy talking to each other to greet the customers. Same thing happened for the customer after me...just kinda strange to have a bagel shop have slow service when they aren't slammed morning. Hopefully it was a fluke and they normally do a great job. I'd give em another shot, maybe next time for breakfast.

Nice happy hour and a large chocolate drink selection I was at this unique Guatemalan (ish) restaurant a while back with one of my groups. I said "ish" because the menu has dishes from all over, ranging from sandwiches to BBQ ribs to Guatemalan and Mexican soups. It's out there, and even though not everything works that well, it's fun, and if you can't find something you want to order here, you probably shouldn't go out to restaurants. There was also live jazz music that night, which was loud but nice to listen to. Since it was happy hour, a bunch of us got drinks. I went with a maracuya margarita, which was decent; someone else had a jalapeño margarita, someone had a beer, and someone had a mojito. There were a few nice hot sauces on the table, with the red one reminding me of salsa macha as it had a smoky kick and a spicier green sauce reminiscent of ají verde. They gave us some complimentary blue corn chips and a very mild black bean dip, which was tasty enough and hard to complain about, as it was free. From the appetizers, we got the Hot Figs for $15.95, consisting of honey goat cheese, corn tortilla chips, and plum + pumpkin seeds. This was a unique and fun blend and reminded me more of something you would find in a wine bar. The mix of sweet and salty, with a bit of crunch from the seeds, was nice. This was good, and I would recommend it for a table rather than for a solo diner. There was also The Zingy Salad for $21.95, featuring zucchini spirals, yuzu, tomato, onion, cilantro, pumpkin seeds, and a jalapeño infusion. $18.95. The salad was fine with a bit of crunch and a mild spiciness. It was fine, though a bit wet, for lack of a better word. The best dishes of the night were the soups, which each had its own distinct flavor profile. My sight presence went to the Pepián for $21.95, consisting of chicken, pumpkin/sesame seeds, green tomatillo, cinnamon, cumin, black pepper, carrots, chili coban/pasta/guaque, and potato + rice. There was plenty of tender chicken inside, with the soup having a nice roasted flavor with some spice and a bit of sourness. The potatoes and rice on the bottom added more sustenance to this dish. Almost equally delicious was the Caldo Tlalpeño Rojo for a dollar more with shredded chicken, tomato, black pepper, garlic, onions, peas, chickpeas, corn, achiote, chipotle, Monterey jack cheese, and crunchy blue corn tortilla chips. By comparison, this was a bit heartier, with the melted cheese and shredded tortilla chips inside, similar to soups found in Mexican cuisine. While I also liked the mix of veggies a bit more in this one, as it added a bit more texture, I still slightly preferred the flavor of the other soup, as I usually prefer a bit more spice. The rest of the food was fine. The TPC sandwich for $19.95 with chicken, peanut butter, coconut cream, ginger, cilantro, pickled carrots, and lime was fine. For the number of ingredients, I found it a bit sweet, likely from the cream and the peanut butter mix. The bread was nice, but it also fell apart. It came with a nice side salad with a good vinaigrette. The most expensive at $24.95 were the Slow Cooked BBQ Ribs, consisting of baby back ribs with rice and beans. The ribs were almost a bit too tender as they lacked any bite, which was nice, but the sauce was a bit too generic tasting, reminding me of Sweet Baby Ray's or something similar. The rice and beans were standard. This was also OK. Next came some dessert. There was first the $12.95 Rosemary Churros served with dulce de leche & chocolate dips. While I'm not sure if it worked, the rosemary did add a unique smell and a bit of flavor, and at least it wasn't generic. The churros themselves were hot, and the sauces were standard, with my preference being the dulce de leche. I also ordered a Champurrado for $7.95, which was fine. It wasn't as thick as I expected, though perhaps the style is a bit different than the champurrados I rarely buy from Mexican street carts. The chocolate flavor was very nice, though, and I like that it wasn't too sweet. Another person got a $4 Alfajor, which I got a bite of, which was standard. This place is a bit hard to rate. The two soups were wonderful, I liked the appetizers, and I found a couple of the other dishes just OK. Overall, it was a good meal, but I'm not craving to go back. This would be the perfect 3.5, but I'll round up as that doesn't exist.

We then ordered a couple things to go and while waiting outside, the owner comes out with a table and allowed us to dine outdoors. They even brought out a bowl of water for our dog! A wonderful gesture and I don't know how often they do this but we really appreciated it. The tortilla soup was so amazing - they nailed both the savory and sourness of it and even the soggy tortillas in the soup were really good! I had the steak breakfast burrito which was incredibly filling and the chorizo and avocado eggs Benedict were fantastic!
