Whole wheat bagel with egg and extra butter and strawberries jam
    Ilwoo H.

I wanted give this place 2.5 star if I could. This is one of the mu favorite bagels shop in this area. Very small Inside and if you go this place late there's limited selection of bagels. Always I ordered whole wheat bagels and extra egg and jam & butter. So good but I used lived in manhattan. I still didn't find out better than NYC bagels place. Sometimes they are not kind when they busy. Table wasn't clean sometime so you have to clean the table but you can grab bagel and go eat out side or go.

Had the Everything and Cinnamon Raisin. Everything was nice and I would give 4 stars cuz it came out hot out of the oven. However the crust was not as chewy like the best that I've had. The Cinnamon Raisins was so so, almost like it was from day old, not as cinnamonie. The Jalapeños Cream Cheese was nice and spicy and simple.

We enjoyed our breakfast sandies! I ordered the sausage egg and cheese on cheese bagel which I enjoyed more than the bacon my partner had! Friend also ordered the lox and was able to spruce it up with some tomatoes/onions/cream cheese/capers and she LOVED it! Food was made to order, bagels were good/fresh, and wait was short on a Saturday late morning. Forgot to ask for hot sauce which would have elevated a little - only things missing were a little extra flavor and outdoor seating wasn't cleaned! Otherwise for a quick grab-and-go, this is a great option! My sandwich was about $10 and can customize cheese/meat options

Amazing quality! I love to order the egg bagel it's very fresh. They have many kinds of cream cheeses love the jalapeño.

Ahhhhh if I only lived closer to Sam's Bagel, I'd be so happy!!! The bagels are so good! They are fresh and warm, thick with a hearty bite and soft interior. The flavors are *chef's kiss* divine! Can bagels be heavenly? I never thought so, until I came here. Put it this way, I broke my gluten-free diet for this! It was totally worth it. Service was prompt and friendly too.

Ok now here me out - these are probably a 4 star bagel not 5 BUT I'm gonna give Sam's a 5 anyway because I love this place!!! Something I value over virility and buzzy ingredients and a hyper curated product is RELIABILITY and AFFORDABILITY. This place has been there on my best and worst days and it never fails to make my day. I've never felt inspired to review them before but I pulled it up on Yelp today because I just had the BEST cup of FRESH coffee while picking up some bagels to go. At 1pm on a weekday! Im not sure why it's so rare to get a great cup of classic drip coffee after noon but it's the reality we unfortunately live in. But Sam's is the exception. Bagels are always fresh and tasty as well, our favorite is the pumpernickel. Staff is friendly and efficient. Don't have a bad thing to say about em. Well done, Sam's. I will always be a fan.

I would give them half a star if I could, I was waiting in line Christmas morning for a bagel and it's my first time so I wanted to support a small business. When I got to the front and ordered the main staff with long hair was just rude and gave me an my Dobermann a dirty look and ask that I remove my dog from the counter when she wasnt even on it. It made us feel extremely unwelcome when my dog was simply curious. I understand you having a busy Christmas morning but I don't like their attitude so I asked for a refund and he proceed to not give me a refund. It's all good tho cus this business is not getting me money either way. If you have an issue with dog then just put a sign in the front like all the other restaurants and I wouldn't have gone in. To have a bad attitude on Christmas morning is just the cherry on top. Very unfortunate but I won't be supporting Scam's bagel.

Everything toasted with plain cream cheese, small coffee.

Cute place, small. Guy running the counter was the first non-pretentious LA person I've encountered all week. Shockingly friendly and actually smiled. Ordered an everything toasted and a small coffee. The bagel itself was cooked to perfection, everything a true New Yorker would desire- soft fluffy chewy & my favorite part- the poppyseeds were cooked into the dough. That said, an everything bagel without salt is a crime! Coffee was on point, nice and strong. I enjoyed this pairing at their outside seating on a crisp fall Sunday morning.

Not a bad bagel egg sandwich here at Larchmont! It's a small, unassuming spot--no ambiance or music inside. However, it's nice that they have a table outside where you can sit. The service was straightforward and not particularly memorable, but that might vary from person to person. There was no greeting or "good morning." That said, the bagel was amazing--toasted, fresh, and delicious. It's a solid place! I just can't quite give it more than 3 stars. A 4 would indicate that I really liked it, but something is holding me back from giving it 5 stars. Five stars would mean amazing service, ambiance, and food.

    Joe C.

Sam's Bagels has been a longtime staple on Larchmont and I finally decided to give it a try. They definitely do not skimp on the lox schmear, which was packed with generous pieces of lox and had great flavor. My only complaint is that they served it cold and I only realized once I got home that it had not been warmed up. The bagel itself was fine, but to be honest I still prefer Noah's overall. That said, the schmear was delicious and made the experience worth trying at least once.

Lox spread on a toasted cheese Bialy Scrumptious!!
    Henri V.

Sam's Bagels on trendy Larchmont is a small simple, not fancy shop that offers bagels. I had passed this place many times and finally had a moment to stop inside. Was going to order a sesame bagel until I saw the last Bialy, which is a tad flatter, bigger in diameter than a bagel. It had a little bit of melted cheese baked on top of it. The staffer was nice and helpful. Ordered the bialy toasted with a schmear spread of cream cheese and lox. The staffer brought out my ordered bialy. It was made quickly, wrapped and cut in half. I just purchased a box of Holey Grail donuts a few doors down and decided to eat the Bialy first and save eating the donuts later. Indoor seating available but I noticed so much debris of crumbs on their tables and floor and no staff member cleaning sweeping or wiping table surfaces. The outdoor patio has dark wooden lattice doors which looked cool. There's a few outdoor seats were I sat for a minute to take a couple of bites. This cream cheese lox spread bialy was scrumptious. Recommend!

Sam's will always be one of my fave bagel spots. I usually get an onion or everything bagel with plain cream cheese. Today I was feeling adventurous and decided to try their Lox bagel with an everything bagel. It was savory and I really enjoyed the strong onion and caper flavors. A must try! They have plenty of seats inside and outside. Since it was cold out, we chose to eat inside where they have communal bench seating. It's fun to people watch while munching on a yummy bagel.

The search for a NY bagel in CA continue. Bread density is off for double wheat and onion bagels. Not supposed to be fluffy. Toppings fine.

The menu is meant for sharing so we typically order a few plates for the table. I've tried several different things on the menu but the sticky glazed pork shank is highly recommended and it never misses. All the dishes are flavorful and beautifully presented so you can't go wrong. The drinks are pretty, but I haven't found one I really enjoy. The vibes are great and the outdoor patio is really pretty at night. Service is always very good and adds to the experience. There's a paid parking garage nearby or you can park on the street. If you end up parking on the street, just be aware of your surroundings since the area can feel a bit sketchy after dark.

We heard lots of great things about the restaurant which led us to book a reservation to celebrate the occasion. Parking - None, your best bet is to park on the street or nearby streets, you'll find some free street parking there. If not, then there's some paid outdoor parking garages nearby for competitive prices, shouldn't be more than $20. Most are $10 - $16 etc. Upon arrival to the restaurant, we checked in through the front receptionist and was told that we had to wait a bit despite having a reservation for 7PM. We waited 30 minutes before being seated and when we were seated, it took awhile for us to even get service. Although all the staff were friendly, it did seem pretty slow. I'd say it took about 10 minutes to get water from the staff and another 10 minutes to have our orders taken. Staff did acknowledge our anniversary which was a nice gesture. Inside of the restaurant is pretty spacious and clean as well, tropical type vibes as well and gave off like a fresh air type feeling, very nice overall. -- Food -- naan & dips ($19) - Not sure what the ingredients were but this was by far my favorite of the dinner, Similar to a pita, it's very savory along with the two dips provided. Recommended to try both the tzatziki and the carrot tahini dips. It's delicious even without the dip which is how you know it's a good appetizer. Very well made. 9/10 goat liver mousse ($24) Very aesthetic dish that's served like a crackers and snack tray. Comes with biscuit cracks and crumpets, along with 3 dips (craisin relish, jam, and pickled veggies) another great appetizer. However, there was a fly that was on the dish which our staff replaced the biscuits. Not the best look as we were seated inside. Also seems like neighboring tables were also complaining about flies near their food. Onto the food, the biscuits are a bit tasteless so the dips on it is basically you eating the flavors of the dips. Not the best but not the worst either. The best part is the crumpets, they are top notch and even better with the dips. All the dips are very flavorful, my favorite goes to the pickled veggies, which have coleslaw vibes. Very savory dish overall, 8.5/10 grilled kalbi-style short ribs ($38) Covered with grilled scallions, stonefruit, and perilla vinaigrette along with the short ribs, it was very flavorful and very savory. The dish had 6 pieces of short ribs which is easily shareable. Most pieces were pretty big but two of the six were smaller than expected. The ingredients covering the short ribs added flavors to the meat and was a good compliments to the dish. Presented beautifully as well which is a good start. 7.5/10 pork belly noodles ($32) Similar to the short rib, this dish is covered in grilled pineapple, chili crunch, and pickled veggies. Noodles aside, the pork belly is absolutely blistering in flavors. Very crunchy, and juicy. Although it was just very salty which is where the pineapple is supposed to lessen the saltiness but it didn't. Although it's delicious, it was just too salty for my tastebuds. The noodles are delicious and have a kick to it, a bit of spice but very soft. 6.5/10 Overall, food was good but not the best that I've tried. Service was good in a way but it was just way too slow. I was pretty disappointed with the pacing of the food. We got our two appetizers first after about 15 minutes and were enjoying the them for a good while as well. After that, we had to wait almost 30 minutes to get our entrees, a bit disappointed there with the pacing but understandable as it seems like they have a system in place for that. Food wise, it's pretty solid, although portions can be a variable, keep in mind that the menu states that there's an automatic 4% surcharge to your bill at the end.

My wife and I stopped here a few weekends back for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised with just how much I enjoyed the food. The ambiance here is pretty generic, white and bright and very copy and paste of a lot of places popping up recently. The staff was super friendly while taking our orders and dropping the food off, which is always appreciated. I ended up ordering the Santo's Turkey Melt which is smoked turkey, grilled onions, Swiss cheese, and chipotle aioli served on sourdough with a side of french fries. The sandwich was really good and the same can be said for the french fries and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of fries given, so thumbs up to that. I forgot what the food costs so I visited the website and for some reason they don't think it's important to put that online, which is pretty darn stupid if you ask me. I had many questions, and both he and his team addressed every single one with patience, care, and attention to detail. It's clear that Dave was born to host events! That level of guidance makes all the difference when you're nervours... that patience and guidance it's exactly what you want in a venue partner. Prank was an excellent choice for our event. The location is fantastic, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the drinks and food were outstanding. Thank you so much. We will absolutely recommend Prank and keep it on our radar for future events in LA.

The open patio, the bar area and how it wraps around the corner where there is a smaller intimate section. The music was awesome, the bartender has a great pour and the people seemed to be really having a great time. As I look around I see there is an open upstairs area that looks down onto the first level. So cool right? I had a conversation with two regulars and they swear by the menu. Plans are made to come back and I must try the food when I do. Cheers!!

To be honest, I was already biased because his Smorgasburg pop-ups were consistently good. But Distrito Catorce is different , it's like art. My favorite dish was the tacos de papa with salsa macha. The crunch of the potato taco riding into the salsa macha and crema felt like home, but with some extra pop. His salsa game is on point. The scallion salsa on the ribeye taco was also gas. Lastly, I really dug the tostadita de atún. It hit perfectly on these hot summer days. Low-key, I still want to try the El Rey de Noche. Tacos de beef trompo are starting to hit LA, and dude was ahead of the curve making picanha-brisket tacos de trompo. Service is smooth too. The servers are helpful, and solid at the bar. Overall, it's a cool spot with a menu that feels unique to LA.

The food had a perfect balance of flavors. The tacos de papa is topped off with salsa macha but the spice was not overpowering. My favorite was the ribeye taco. The owners and waiter were very welcoming, hospitable and kind. 100000/10!

After our visit, I can see why. We arrived a little later than planned thanks to LA traffic but were still able to get a table. The atmosphere immediately stood out. The space is beautiful, creative, and artsy without feeling pretentious. Since we visited for lunch, we also enjoyed wandering around the surrounding area and exploring the area. Because we were meeting family later and didn't want to spoil dinner, we decided to keep lunch on the lighter side. We started with cocktails and a few dishes to share. My daughter ordered the trout tartare, which she has enjoyed many times before. While it isn't something I would normally order, I can understand why she keeps coming back to it. I chose the Louisiana shrimp with agua chile which was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. We also ordered the biscuits, and honestly, they may have been my favorite part of the meal. Warm, flaky, and served with a creamy butter that somehow tasted even better than butter should. We skipped entrées but couldn't resist dessert. The stout chocolate cake was rich, decadent, and the perfect ending to lunch. By "sharing," I mostly mean I was fortunate enough to get a few bites before my daughter claimed the rest. The service was warm and attentive throughout. With restaurant prices these days, it's refreshing to leave feeling that the quality of the food, service, and overall experience justified the cost. We both agreed it was a wonderful lunch, and a day later I'm still thinking about those biscuits. We'll definitely be back, and next time I'd love to experience a full dinner.
