As someone who lived in Vietnam for just over a year, coming back here is absolutely nostalgic. Authentic as can be!

This place was fantastic!…read more We ordered the Phở Sườn Bò (beef rib pho) and Nem Nướng Cuốn (DIY spring roll), and they were both excellent. It was our first time assembling our own spring rolls at the table, which made for a fun and memorable dining experience. The beef rib pho was packed with flavor, generously portioned, and easily left us with enough leftovers for another meal. I also tried Nem Chua (fermented pork) for the first time and absolutely loved it. Everything tasted fresh, simple, and homemade--the kind of food that feels like it was made with care. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, and I appreciated that they're open earlier in the morning, making it a convenient option compared to many other Vietnamese restaurants. Great food, great service, and a great experience overall. We'll definitely be back!

It was a little loud, but still comfortable enough to enjoy the food and the atmosphere. I ordered the Nem Nuong Cuon, and they were exactly what I was hoping for. They reminded me of the ones I've had in Orange County, which is the only place I've really had this style before. Now that I found them here in Sacramento, I'm excited. I haven't tried the pho or other dishes yet, but I definitely plan to come back with a friend and try more dishes. If you love this style of Nem Nuong Cuon, you need to check this place out ASAP.

I originally came in fully committed to ordering the Bún Bò Huế (P4), but the moment I heard about the $3.50 giant rib add-on, all bets were off. I switched to the P1 Combo Pho just so I could have that massive, fall-off-the-bone rib soaking in that rich, aromatic broth and it was absolutely worth it. The broth was deeply savory and comforting, layered with flavor without being overly salty, and that rib took things to another level. Tender, meaty, and perfectly braised, it made each bite feel extra indulgent. My boyfriend went with the bánh mì pork sandwich, and we added fried egg rolls for the table. The bánh mì had that perfect balance of crispy baguette, juicy pork, and fresh pickled veggies, while the egg rolls came out hot, crunchy, and packed with flavor. We also got the chance to meet the owner/chef and had such a great conversation, which made the whole experience feel even more personal. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the night. Safe to say, this spot continues to deliver -we'll definitely be back for more.

And no cilantro is offered. Service was less than stellar. We were there on a weeknight, it wasn't very busy, just a few tables -- but the waitress seemed disinterested in waiting on her tables. Everyone appeared to have to flag her down to order drinks, to order food, to get sides, and to get their check.

We ordered the following: * Bo Tai Chanh beef carpaccio (10/10) - best I've ever had * taro fries (10/10) - surprisingly a better version of regular fries! * chicken banh mi tacos (8.5/10) - it's a damn good taco, but I do wish it was pork since it was a bit dry * garlic noodles (6.5/10) - I'm sure it would be great, but all the other food outshined it * pork dish (7.5/10) - pretty good, nothing special, better than most places The service was great, we asked to move to a nicer table and our waiter assisted us. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place, as I don't generally rate places this high.

We started with the Soft Shell Crab served with lettuce, herbs, and a tangy vinaigrette. It was very delicious and perfectly crunchy, although the portion was quite small. The Fried Chicken Dumplings were also very good, and the dipping sauce paired perfectly with them. The Saigon Alley Wings were equally delicious -- crispy, flavorful, and definitely one of the highlights. The Dynamite Scallops tasted amazing as well, but again, the portion was very small, so I'd recommend ordering more than one if sharing. The Fried Shrimp tossed in salt and pepper with jalapeños was nicely balanced and not overly salty. The Fried Calamari with cilantro aioli was cooked perfectly -- tender and not rubbery at all. For the mains, the Charbroiled Pork Chops and Short Ribs topped with scallion oil, shallots, and fish sauce vinaigrette were wonderfully flavorful, and the meat was tender. We also tried the Garlic Noodles, which were decent, although I've had better garlic noodles at other restaurants, and they arrived a little cold. The Garlic String Beans sautéed in garlic butter sauce with chili flakes were surprisingly one of my favorites -- crunchy, garlicky, and absolutely delicious. I also loved the Thai Tea because it wasn't overly sweet. For dessert, we tried the sesame balls with condensed milk, which we enjoyed, although it was the only dessert option on the menu. Overall, the food was flavorful and well-prepared, but the portions definitely lean on the smaller side. Ratings:* Ambience: 4/5* Food: 3.5/5* Service: 3/5 -- mainly because it took about 30 minutes to receive the bill. Still worth trying if you enjoy flavorful Vietnamese fusion dishes and don't mind smaller portions.

I'm not sure how long this restaurant has been open but it was our first time here. We decided to…read moreeat here because we saw on the reviews that they had ox tail soup and bun rieu ( crab noodle soup). It appears the restaurant mainly serves seafood. As there are a lot of seafood options. However there is hotpot options and other noodle and rice dishes as well. The restaurant has a small outdoor patio. Inside has spacious table seating, some with booth and good lighting inside. There was ballad vietnamese music video playing. The restaurant was not busy and there were elderly men at the tables playing cards and some at another table they were chatting & drinking. Im not sure if they hold karaoke or have live bands but there is a stage with music instruments and a projector with installed party lights. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted right away. It was a bummer when they told us they didn't make ox tail or bum rieu today. Instead we ordered beef tartare, beef pho and shaken beef with rice. The beef tartare was this sliced raw beef with onion, herbs and lime which made the dish rich and savory. The pho was mediocre and same goes for the shaken beef, but both dishes were still tasty enough. During our time there, the server did not check on us or refill our water. If I'm craving for seafood, maybe I'll come back to try their seafood options.

The razor clams were really good too, solid 8/10. Morning glory stir fry is one of my go-to dishes and they did it right -- 9/10. The clay pot catfish was tasty, just a little too sweet for me, but it went great with the rice 7/10. Definitely ask for the Dasavi Lemon Chili Sauce for the oysters and clams -- it's sooo good. I usually drown everything in chili oil at Asian spots, but theirs was sweeter and had a different flavor, so maybe try it first before dumping a bunch on your plate. Service was good

I found out later, you can also either call your order in, or you can order pick up or delivery through DoorDash. I came back on the following Monday, and the place was still busy, but not as busy. They have a decent number of cash register stations taking orders. They have an extremely large menu. I counted 18 different Banh mi variations, and lots of other things For my starter, I wanted to try the. Pate chaud, which is pate in a puff pastry, but unfortunately, they were out. Instead, I got a mini steamed bao bun, with fried chicken in the middle. For my banh mi, I ordered the egg, sausage, and pork loaf, but instead, I got the grilled pork and egg. I'm not going to take off any stars or anything, because hey, misunderstandings happen, and it was still an amazing sandwich. They gave me a number, and it was a short wait for my sandwich. Between the registers and the people making the sandwiches in back, it's like an assembly line operation. They are quick, and the prices are extremely reasonable. The sandwich was very large, The bread was still warm. I took the sandwich home, but I ate the bao bun on the way home. It was very good. The bun had a good consistency, and the chicken was excellent. Seasoned well, just the right amount of breading, and tender on the inside. When I got the banh mi home, that's when I discovered the mixup. But I enjoyed it just as much. The egg was fluffy, and the pork was excellent. . It was a little bit sweet, like a Char siu. The pork was also very tender. The veggies were fresh. There was generous Portions. I was only going to eat half, but it was so good, I ended up eating the whole thing. I will definitely be back when I'm in South sac. Heck, that sandwich was so good, I would drive down from Rancho, just to get one. Thanks!
