Clean, Organized, Well Stocked Store! This Sam's Club is really clean! I like that the staff seems to keep it all stocked and organized to make shopping easier. I really like the Sams APP that allows you to scan your own items as you put them in the cart and pay without standing in long lines like at Costco where you wait 30 minutes in line to pay. This puts SAMS ahead of the game by a mile in my book! I really like the Red Pepper Hummus here, it is awesome! Anyway, not sure what else to say about this place... After speaking with a manager, I was given the rebate with no problem. Not impressed with the computer sign up process or corporate but Melissa, manager, was great. Customer service is horrendous! I pay for membership, thus, i should not have to be my own cashier. Thanksgiving eve and only 2 cash registers manned by employees, then, they don't want to put your items on a box so it is easier to unload. If i wanted to be a cashier i would apply for a job. I have been shopping at this Sam's Club for over 15 years for good reasons. Aside from the products, what brings me back to, "The Club" are the employees. Every time I ask for assistance I am greeted with a smile and someone who is always willing to help me locate a product. It's rare in retail now-a-days to find that every employee is friendly and helpful. There is one exceptional employee that always has an extra big smile for me and makes me feel special when I walk through Sam's Clubs' doors. That employee is Ken. I have a high stress job and it's really nice to be greeted in such a friendly manner. It makes my day. Thank you, Ken for putting a smile on my face, especially when I have had a hard day at work. I love Sam's Club, because it's so convenient! Customer Service is hit and miss of course, it's retail so it is understandable, I like Costco too, but I'd choose Sam's over Costco if I had 1 choice; reasons are, because their lines at the gas station are always shorter, they always have the best gas price, you can actually walk through the store with your cart vs. Costco is overwhelming always bumping into people or something, though checkout lines can get long, they have scan and go where you literally scan your own items on your phone and you are in and out, anyone who waits in line, waits because they don't download the app to use scan and go. I actually know who's working here because they wear vests, unlike Costco I don't think I've ever spoken to anyone only at the register. If you have the high membership it is so worth it free shipping and you get 2% back on everything you purchase in store. And if you combine that with their MasterCard it's insane! It's only me and my fiancé and the return back is amazing 5% back all gas stations with other perks. The pharmacy at this location is also the best! The whole team is knowledgeable and knows exactly what they are doing and work so fast, you actually don't need a membership to use the pharmacy which is kinda cool. They have great prices and it's best to buy the everyday things I use here, even though it's in bulk it's worth it (long run it saves money). The cafe here is hit and miss they can be slow, but they have gotten better! They have a tire & battery too, I buy my tires and batteries here because they have warranties and if anything happens they have you on their database where they can help you out if need be. read more

Now that Sam's Club has upgraded their machinery, it makes the overall experience so much better because their machines are brand spanking new & nice & shiny. Unfortunate, is all I can say about my experience here yesterday(Sunday). The line at the food court was about 10 deep. We waited 5 - 10 minutes to get up to the counter. When we approach the register,a sign stating no cash, debit only,while this in itself wasn't the deal breaker,the customer service and the fact that the 3 employees standing around behind the counter with a stupifed expression as folks were screaming "fuck you all for not fixing the soda machines"was .Now they had their meals and syrup with no carbonation. Apparently it had been that way for awhile,and the geniuses kept selling sodas. I was midway thru ordering,and was shaking my head when the ding ding simply looked at me and said "bye" when I said maybe put up a sign she simply said next, for the next sucker in line. This is unfortunate that Sam's has now ruined that little bright spot of shopping here. Rude and condescending are traits I never want to experience when it comes to customer service. It's obvious that Sam's is cutting corners at the food court,which is a service that comes with a paid membership. I don't believe there are carbon shortages,any more than I buy there is a change shortage,forcing folks to only use debit. It's just the easier softer way,andthat place takes in enough cash hourly to keep the hotdog stand drawer fully stocked with cash.So, I call bullshit!! This review is directed mainly to the tire and battery center, though also Sams overall. I brought my wife's car in to get a tire replaced Friday May 31st right at 8:00 when they opened for plus member. Th e tire lead David was nice enough. He inspected our flat and told us it will be replaced under warranty. He stated he needed to order it and that it should be in by Monday, and they'd call us. I called on Monday and was routed to Sams out of country center due to a, "heavy call volume". Abuda dabu told me the tire won't be in till Wednesday. He couldn't comprehend or understand when I explained what I was told and my frustration with the lack of communication, I called back today 06/05/24 to check on the tire again. This time Rasjneesh answered (again supposedly due to a high call volume). He informed me the tire had arrived Monday on the 3rd. When I asked, why, wasn't I called he just said the same thing, Tire arrived on Monday. He had ZERO answers. I finally drove to Sams and it wasa apparent that I annoyed David (the tire lead) because I did not have an appointment. I asked why wasn't I called about the tire being there? He stated, "the tire just arrived yesterday." I explained what I was told about the tire being there on Monday and that every time I called, I got sent to an out of country call center. I asked why I wasn't called, David ignored my comment and said, I'll fit you in". It should be noted there were absolutely ZERO customers. Communication is horrible and apparent it's part of the company culture! Attitudes from the tire lead and out of country call center when I'm trying to find out what's happening is horrible! For the $200 you save on tires here, just go to Discount. No issues, most crew are very pleasant and happy plus great communication! When Sams Club can't / won't even take a call from a customer, it becomes inexcusable that a paying customer is considered an inconvenience!!!! read more

First of all, when I got to the register the woman checking me out didn't even acknowledge me and kind of looked at me like "why are you here?" I had to initiate the conversation. I, as the customer had to say "hello how are you?" I went over to get a box for my stuff, and I came back to see the cashier wiping down her conveyor belt with a wipe. Unknowingly, the ground beef I chose to purchase was leaking blood. Initially, the ground beef was sitting on the paper towels. The cashier then took the bloody ground beef and put it on the box of trash bags. So now I have two items that have ground beef blood leaking everywhere. The cashier then proceeds to say "you didn't tell me it was leaking!" As if it were my fault. I was utterly shocked that she wiped down all of her areas and left blood on my items. She did not even offer me a wipe to clean my things. The cashier was extremely rude. I was appalled. However, when my approval for the MasterCard printed out her attitude immediately changed as she tried to get me to sign up for a credit card. Lastly, when I went to unload my items I had to open my paper towels in the parking lot and wipe off the blood which had now leaked onto even more items. This was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. read more

DO NOT RELY ON THEM FOR A CAKE! Ordered a 3 tier cake with flowers and was told ONE HOUR BEFORE PICKUP that all they would be able to provide for me was a SHEET CAKE. They said they didn't have "dowel supports" to be able to make the cake like it's the hardest item to find in the valley let alone in a bakery! So unprofessional! DO NOT BUY TIRES FROM SAM's! I purchased a set of tires several years ago. After taking my car to an auto shop for what I thought was a needed front end alignment, they showed me that one of the tires was separating and that the tires were old, dry rotted, and all needed replacing. One tire was actually manufactured one year prior to when I bought them. I had also been advised by Walmart personnel a month ago when I had work done there that the tires were old and needed replacing. I didn't believe them since I still had 40% of my warranty left. So I go back to Sam's where I am advised that they will give $30 credit for the one tire, but nothing on the others! I tell them that literally everyone is telling me the tires are bad, but they won't do anything! Today, 3 weeks later, the tread on one of the tires peeled off while driving down the freeway! Luckily, no accident, but the piece of tread damaged my car! Sam's Club SELLS OLD TIRES, and DOES NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY and PUTS YOUR LIFE AT RISK BY TELLING YOUR TIRES ARE OK WHEN THEY ARE IN FACT DANGEROUS! read more

Oh man, so in my old review this was mediocre at best, a pretty typical Sam's Club location but I had two atrocious experiences. The first was a really nasty old lady cashier, Colleen, who was so rude I ended up talking to the store and then district manager about her. The second was a gift card that wouldn't work in the store, and when I called the toll free number I was told I spent it, which wasn't true. After escalations to the customer service, and refusal to help, I had to do a chargeback on my credit card, and then cancel my membership. My advice is always to stick to Costco, but now, if you like the products at Sam's, just drive to Chandler or Mesa. read more

I was considering a club membership at either Sam's or Costco. My wife and i stopped in with a notebook to do the research to see if a membership was worth it. We found a few items to be a better deal than Costco but mostly they were higher. Prices are lower than the chain stores but fairly close to Walmart or Winco, and in some cases Walmart, a sister store was cheaper. I was a member at Sam's club for 2 years. It was great at first, seeing as I had never had a membership to a big box/warehouse grocery store club. I don't have a huge family, but I would go here for all of my dry goods and shop their seasonal items. The store itself is quite large and they have vision, hearing, photo, and pharmacy services. Samples on the weekends, which we always enjoyed and even got some tasty recipes out of it. The pricing at the pharmacy wasn't amazing, some medications were cheaper OTC vs buying it as a prescription. Prices are competitive regarding household items and groceries. Gas is always cheaper than the regular gas station. Customer service is friendly, and it is usually very busy lines on the weekends. Their food court is average, nothing impressive. I tried their pizza and a hot dog once, and I was good after that. The condiment station and sitting area was dirty and needed to be stocked. During the 2 years I was a member, that was my first and LAST experience at the food court. Yearly membership renewal was $45 for us and we paid extra for the additional member rewards, which they pitched to me in line with a bunch of people behind me, so I said yes, but to this day I still don't comprehend what the benefits are lol. This year we decided not to renew since there was a Groupon for Costco membership that I basically paid $5 for, and it was also closer to our house. So far, I am preferring the latter warehouse club. I think it is worth it if you live close by and have a large family. read more

Ordered a brownie sundae. Waited while 6 more orders piled up. Three employees working. Boy at register, slightly older boy was presumably the "manager", and an Asian woman doing the work. The "manager" is explaining to the woman something about the raw hotdogs she's handling, while 7 orders pile up, and customers wait. Then she turns around, grabs my ticket off their order line , AND PROCEEDS TO PICK UP THE BROWNIES FOR MY sUNDAE WITH THE SAME GLOVES SHE WAS WEARING WHILE HANDLING THE SLIMY, WET HOTDOGS!!!!! And the manager is shuffling around squares of brown paper in a stack, avoiding looking at customers or working. We left. Didn't even wait for her to finish making it. DISGUSTING. They also need to dust their sign over the emergency door next to the counter. Take a look next time you're there, but god, don't order their food. read more

I'm giving 3 starts today due to the customer service we received. My family went in to 1. renew our membership & 2 see about opening a business account. The first lady that greeted us was very nice, however she was going on lunch and passed us over to a gentlemen saying he was an "expert" at business accounts. However this man was just rude, he made comments asking my husband "do you only feed them once" speaking about my kids. Now this comment could have gone 1 of 2 ways which neither are acceptable ! One both my children are athletically built they are skinny and have muscle definition, or TWO he was being racist asking if we feed our mixed (black, white and Hispanic) kids once a day! HE WAS RUDE!!! THEN come to find out HE NEVER DID ANYTHING WITH THE BUSINESS ACCOUNT!!!! We waited a whole week and never heard anything back!! So we drove to another location were a women helped us out! Even though she was the only person working their and had a long line behind us she gave us her all her attention! she didn't rush the process she had sure she followed every step and completed everything!!! I believe that this store has a very weak or inexperienced main manager. Two weeks ago I wanted to buy the tallest fan they had on display. They didn't have any so I had to drive clear out to San Tan. Well I like the fan so much I wanted to buy another one. Well this store "has them on order" which was the last excuse for not having them. Hey Mr. Manager, be proactive, call everyday and find out why your shipment isn't being delivered as ordered. Call the next person up your chain and complain that you are not getting your orders shipped in a timely manger. Somebody at San Tan is doing a better job than you, they have 100 of those fans in stock. But I live less than a mile from the store on Gilbert Blvd. I DO NOT WANT TO DRIVE TO SAN TAN. And I don't want to pay for shipping costs if you would just do your job better. Your customers are getting pissed. read more

Lines were long and as we pulled up to the next pump the gas attendant pulled out an orange cone and said the pump was closed and we would have to drive around again for a pump. I have had two horrible experiences with the Gilbert Road Sam's Clubs tire center. Both times the employees were rude and dismissive. They would not honor my warranty or even try and help me out even though my tires were three months old and had a huge nail on the side. They said my lug nuts were swollen and they couldn't get them off even though they didn't try. I took my car home and he took the lug nuts if super easy!! My suggestion is save yourself the headache and go to the tire center on Market Street. They are way more helpful and pleasant to work with. I will NEVER go back to the one on Gilbert Road. And when I replace my tires I will not use Sam's again. read more

Recently my Sam's Club membership under my former business expired and I was contemplating renewing on my own. I had pretty much decided to renew once payday came around since I've been a member for 7 years and haven't had too many issues with the store. Today, however, changed my mind and I will be activating a membership with Costco. I had purchased 4 brand new tires from Sam's Club last February. About a week ago I noticed that my tire was low, so I put air in it. Then a few days later it was low again,so I knew it needed to be fixed. Without hesitation, I drove to Sam's Club to have the auto center fix it since it was a tire I had purchased from there less than one year ago. I run in to get out of the rain with my 4 month old baby and approach the service person at the counter, who was definitely not wanting to be working or something, didn't even greet me and acted like I was bothering him. I tell him the scenario and he scans my Sam's Club card. Of course it didn't come up since my membership has expired and I haven't had a chance to renew yet. Immediately he informs me he can't help me, and that's it. So I say, "But I bought the tire from you? Really? You're going to send a woman with a baby back out to drive in a downpour with a flat tire, not even offering to put air in it?" The utter disregard was unbelievable! So there you have it. I cannot fathom doing business with a company with such horrible customer service. read more

Where to begin here that has not been said before. Well, lots of parking. A nice big clean container of wipes for your cart and your hands. I really like that. The store is laid out well. I went to every point to get what I wanted and there it was. The only thing I really couldn't find was some really good fruit. It looked a bit on the old side. So I passed that up. But, lots to choose from all over the store. Processed,packaged items. Fresh meat and vegetables. Baked goods, you can even order cakes for all types of parties. I used to belong to both Costco and Sam's Club. I found Sam's Club to be more reasonable with their prices. And the quality is about the same if not better. Costco is always crowded, mostly with snowbirds looking for free food at the sample tables. There are snowbirds at Sam's Club but not as many as Costco. I don't know why there's more at Costco than at Sam's Club. Perhaps the birdseed Is better. read more
