Low rating based on Celeste, a receipt scanner. She and her male colleague raised their eyebrows and ignored me when asking for directions to the bathroom. I asked three times and it was so awkward that the customers responded. She and her male coworker were talking to me to tell me to use the other entrance and I then asked for the bathroom and they ignored me and refused to tell me. Rude and tacky. After my purchase, I asked why she wouldn't tell me and she said she was going to tell me but the customers answered for her. I told her I had to ask three times and that's why they HAD to respond. 3:15 pm on Saturday 4/13, if management wants to review the video. Just getting fed up of being a customer and still have to fight for common courtesy. The cafe line was long, almost reaching the exit doors. Items were more expensive than Costco. For example, Samsonite set was $30 more expensive than Costco, cupcakes were $2 more etc. Was given wrong directions for items. Couldn't find what I was looking for. Pick up service charges a fee. Cashier and food sample person, Margarita were pleasant. Normally spend a few hundred dollars each trip at big box stores. Was upset with the service that I only spent $40. read more

Ugh- Ew This place is the pits. I had tome come in here to exchange some shorts I had gotten as a gift. I wanted to just swap 'em out for some that fit properly- even Steven. They hemmed and hawed- we didn't have a membership, so they wanted us to sign up, for a fee, so we could exchange the shorts. Lots of going back and forth, radio calling, checking with the manager, we finally were permitted to go into the store, and pick out the same shorts, but in the correct size, and bring 'em back where there were more manager overrides, hemming and hawing. In all, the clerk was doing a good job, but was just so overburdened with processes, authorizations, etc. The store was in general disarray. Shelves looked like they'd been rummaged through by angry shoppers. Gah. The aisles are much more narrow than their competition at CostCo. I'd rather shop at CostCo, frankly. read more

If awful slow is allowed then this is what this place is. No one is in a rush and people come in groups blocking aisles so no one can pass. The food area is slooooooow. 49 minutes in line. Plus additional to get my order for about an hour total. I had a good dozen people to twenty plus people behind me at all times. The line extended to the entrance, that's how slow the food area is. It's lunch time and there are two people working. The one machine is out of ice and the other is not dispensing anything but soda water. You tell service and they can care less. If we can't find specific items at great price and value, Sam's is our go-to place. Although most of the Sam's near us needs better upkeep of their store, it's still decently clean and organized. Noticed that the only be in 410 around the Jollibee area is being improved, at least they are trying to do something on the store facade. It looks promising and hoping whatever fixing they are trying to do outside would also be done inside, big time. The interior really needs to be fixed so it would look more modern and inviting so shoppers like me would stay longer inside, meaning more purchases too. Just like Costco, they have great prices and great value for our hard-earned $$. read more

Omg I love Sams! They always have great deals and the employees are always friendly. The store is kept clean and fully stocked at all times I've visited. The eye optical department is amazing as well. I buy house hold items, body essentials, cleaning supplies, food items, clothes, purses and just about everything from Sam's and I'm never disappointed. Sam's brand is very durable on everything they sell. The water they sell is 45 count for $4 including taxes. Can't beat it honestly! Their fresh foods are awesome! Always have low priced deals and always have samples! Who doesn't love sampling foods before buying! I also love their fresh baked goods as well as their bread selection. Breads are sold in two which I like for having a large family and the baked goods are so fresh! We always order cupcakes and cakes from this location and they are always baked to perfection! Definitely better then other retailers. One thing that's a downfall about this location is the restrooms are always absolutely disgusting! They are always a HOT MESS. Like every single time. I invested in a membership for two reasons: 1. Premier Protein Shakes. The 12-pack is $16.99, a better deal than the $7.99 4-pack deal you'll find at HEB or elsewhere. 2. Gas. I get a $0.05 discount per gallon when I gas up my tiny bean of a car here. Through these savings, I believe my investment has been sound. It's $45 a year, completely acceptable and doable, and even though I regularly only do the above two things, it's reason enough to keep my membership active. Sometimes it's also nice to shop around for a bit. I mean, I live by myself, I don't REALLY need to buy bulk/wholesale. What am I going to do with 50 rolls of toilet paper, build a fort? Great place to buy bulk items, the waters are very well priced for the large quantity, the food is fresh and affordable. The beef meats seem to be higher priced compared to similar places. I've only been a Sam's Club member for a few months but I've enjoyed my experience so far. A large variety of items at prices cheaper than their competitor. I especially enjoy the prices on the paper products and fresh fruit. I find myself wandering up and down each aisle trying to find a hidden bargain. Many items have instant savings which is a nice bonus. Beware that the checkout lines are usually long and the cashiers are only semi-friendly. I know if you look around and go to diffrent stores maybe you'll get a better price but for me I don't have time too go from store to store just to save from .50 to maybe $1.50. Well I have to say if you have never come in on a weekend you are absolutely missing out. When I come I leave with way more than I came in to get but it's because of the great deals and sales that they offer their members. They send out monthly ads of the best sales and it really comes to be the best deals as most thi ge ste in bulk. I come in for the waters and chips,pub mix and dog treats but they have so much more. I have just been introduced to their great clothing that is breathable a d fashionable for our texas heat. They always have samples and that sometimes leaves me full to where I might not need a lunch. But it's me so lunch is needed and the pizza combo or hot dog combo are greatly priced and they are good for the entire family. They just added sushi and now this is a place I highly recommend coming to her tonight dinner. read more

I've been a Sam's club member for a year now and it's saved me and my family so much money. This is the closest Sam's club to my house and I usually come once a month. The store is laid out like other Sam's club and they have sample galore on the weekends. I like being able to pick up paper products, printer ink, drinks, coffee and more in bulk. Prices are always clearly marked and I like that you can see the price per unit as well as if the item has an additional sale price. I went this past Saturday and noticed the self check out open for the first time. They should have this open all the time! It was so fast and easy! I also noticed that the pharmacy has Zyrtec D now, which is great! read more

This club is just a no. They have crammed so much junk into the store that the aisles are non existent. Add to that the extra large carts and it's a nightmare navigating around. Sometimes I feel like everyone in San Antonio is just really dumb(or too girthy to move) and they find it impossible to get out of the way when someone is trying to pass them. I only do Scan and Go because the lines are ridiculous. Well, in this particular store the cell service is awful and half the items do not scan. Well, I guess I won't be getting that item. read more

This Sams club is always dirty. The tables in the food area rarely clean. One of our kids favorite thing to do is get pizza when we get all our shopping done. We always get it to go and wrap it with foil. Pray over it and keep it moving. No one really offers assistance or even greet you for that matter. They do check your receipt faithfully though. This Sam's Club is always busy, probably because it's located right off of 410. I bought my tires here in August and the process took a couple of days, first my husband had to call and make sure they had the tires in stock, then they had to order them. Sam's notified us when they were available, and then we went in to get them on. I made plans with friends while I waited, and it was a good thing I did, because I would have waited for a long time!! I left my car to be serviced and picked up my car afterwards. They made a big deal about the tire warranty and assured me that I could stop by for any maintenance. In January, my little tire light turned on. I checked the tires, realized they were low, and added some air. I think I put in too much air, and I didn't know how to fix it. So I stopped by Sam's to ask for assistance and the cashier told me it was a three hour wait, and that I should go next door to Walmart to have it looked at. I was frustrated and ended up going to Firestone tires, and will continue to take my business somewhere else. Don't boast to have the best customer service, and then not provide customer service at all! read more

The first Sam's Club opened a whole 5 months prior to the first Costco, just a mini history lesson there for the unknowing. So if anyone is "impersonating" anyone, it's Costco. Obviously, Sam's would look like a Wal-Mart since they are owned by the same company. It's not that difficult of a concept to grasp. Anywho, I personally prefer Sam's to Costco because (1) I get major membership discounts and gift card incentives through my employer and (2) it took me 2 hands to count Costco's food & safety recalls for the year when compared with one hand for Sam's Club. Today does not seem like a good day to get salmonella poisoning! And of course for obvious reasons, convenience. There are 6 Sam's Club locations vs. 3 Costco Warehouses. I am not always exclusively on the North side since I do travel across SA regularly. So why, then, does this particular location only get 3-stars? That would be due to their sub-par customer service and lack of friendly employees when compared to the other location that I frequent on DeZavala. The clientele of this location are also not the most courteous people in SA, neither. But when it comes to great deals, quality meats, competitive prices, Nathan's hotdogs (not some Kirkland crap), and a variety of random finds, Sam's Club is the perfect fit for me. read more

Have been going to this Sam's location for quite a while, but I hate when they decide to ask you for your card upon entry, but the are not consistent about it. First of all, I would be wasting my time shopping because I cannot check out without a Sam's card.. but today the man at the door turned down the customers in front of us who tried to show him his card and immediately asked for mine upon entry, I told them they can't do something and no be consistent and only do it upon discretion... this location is really irritating. read more

I realize that there's a lot of people that go to Sam's club every day. Trying to find help is nearly impossible. I shop here just because it's more cost effective for my family for certain things so it's hard not to avoid this place. I used to like Costco more but Sam's has more variety of things. I would usually give this place 3 stars but today was infuriating. I bought a chair and was waiting near the register because that's where the register worker told me to stay because he was the one who called to get the chair sent up front. I waited and waited and waited. He called back to the other guys at least 4-5 times to check on it. Each time he called back, they gave his a different excuse and kept saying that it was being retrieved. After 30 minutes of waiting and my food thawing out I got fed up and asked him to get a manger to get a refund because I had enough of waiting and my food was probably completely thawed. I asked him to request a manager to get a manger to get a refund. He tried twice but no was available either. I went to the service desk to get a refund when what do I see? My chair! Would've been nice if someone had told the other guy that it was brought upfront. I don't know how long it had been sitting there. Think it would have made sense to communicate better? read more

This location NEVER answers their phones. I spent over 2 hours getting transferred electronically between the department I called for and "member services." When someone did pick up because the phone was continually ringing, they hung up without acknowledging the call. I called back at least 15 times with the same results. They charge membership fees and they should at least value their customers enough to provide good customer care by answering their phones. I called corporate and their customer service line to file a complaint. I will do so every time I call and no one answers the phones until they do something about this problem. Their selection doesn't even come close to Costco's selection of computers, or any electronic for that matter. The store is smaller, less stocked, and just looks like a Costco wannabe, right down to the exact layout and offerings in their hot food offerings (hotdogs w/ drink, pizza slice w/o drink). Pathetic. This is a review based on the At@t kiosk. I was sold a phone on 9/8/20 based upon a false monthly quote. I was quoted a monthly amount that was nearly half of what I was given once I went to the At@t store to have the phone activated. I spent an entire day between the store, SAMS kiosk and CS over phone. The only result I got is the hassle of having to send the phone back and a $57 dollar loss.
