Yesterday was the worst visit yet. We came to get some groceries and have lunch with the kids. The lady at the cafe was by herself. Everyone in a very long slow lane was very patient. I got part of my food and took to the husband and kids. I came back for my last item. The lady just plain yelled at me for not waiting for all of it right away and continued to yell that she is alone and it's my job to stand there. Well, it's not my job to get yelled at in front of the full cafe and my own kids for not meeting someone's expectations. It's also not my job to make sure this lady is not alone during a weekend lunch hour. When we were leaving the lady was gone and 3! People took her place. I feel bad for her having a hard day I also had to explain to my kids that I did not do anything wrong. Do better, Sam's Club. I find the price for fruit are very reasonable and lately the watermelon and peaches are the best. I like their scan and go up option which makes shopping that much easier. Ice had to return items and the process is pretty seamless. The app makes our easy to hold your receipts and good for keeping grocery list for Sam's. I don't have much interaction with the staff but when I do, it's pleasant. I ordered a cake recently and noticed that it's online order only. You order and pay online. It bad for those trying to pay cash and you can't see your personal message once you completed the order to confirm so you have to call them to make sure it went through OK. Overall, the shopping experience isn't bad and because we buy a lot of things in bulk, we'll continue to keep our membership. read more

Local Sam's in area has good options different from other stores. They have a larger parking lot. No Walmart is attached but there is a gas station also. Food court inside and tire center. Good place for large families to shop. Reasonable prices. Recommended. read more

Recently bought a membership to Sam's Club. On the app was able to order my son's 13th birthday cake, custom from the flavor of cake, frosting, and two kinds of frosting beading to ice the cake the day before I needed it. It was 10" and two layers all for $18. We had a happy birthday with a delicious, and huge cake for the half the price! read more

Self scanning wit Sams and free delivery as plus customer is great. The staff was very polite and helpful.

Do not come to Sam's Club to change your tires. They will damage your wheels 100% of the time and gaslighting you that the damage was not done by their machines. When you open a claim the Walmart Case Manager (David L.) will sit on a claim and do nothing for a month before you hear from them and you will have to manage the claim yourself. You can clearly see all 4 wheels have near identical damage and the same location (valve stem) and near identical pattern. Statistically impossible for that damage to be done by driving or anything other than a machine. Pure fraud. read more

Sam's Club Car Wash I decided to get a wash done on my car since I had just gotten gas from them. Please don't bother getting a wash done by them. Probably one of the worst drive thru washes I've been to.... Didn't clean properly and left streak marks on my car. You can see where it the spinner began on my hood. Didn't even touch the front of my car grill. Afterwards I had to get out of my car to dry off the drivers side windows because it was still pretty wet. Unsure if it left scratch marks on the top of my car or if it was from something else, but I'm adding it just in case someone else has this problem. read more

Everyone avoid Des Peres Sam's Club AT ALL COSTS! Took my car there for a tire replacement. I keep an heirloom from a passed family member in my car... It was in my car when I dropped off the car for this new tire. After waiting 2 hours for my new tire after I was told it would only take 20 minutes I finally got my car back. And the item was GONE. STOLEN by the tire employees!! Told them many times to simply give it back and I would leave as if nothing happened as the item was sentimental to me. They denied taking it every single time. Started calling the police to make a report and they suddenly "find it" under a pile of tires.... Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE! If they took an item from my car, what have they probably stolen from others cars, SAMS CLUB HIRES CRIMINALS!! After speaking with the manager, who seemed to not even care about what had just happened... PROOF an employee DID STEAL something from my car... all she did was write what happened on a post-it note. Absolutely ABSURD!!! read more

From the customer service to the electronics department to the Samplers I always have the best interactions with all the staff at Sam's! I typically only come for dog food. However, I have a couple sets of the scan and go option. I used to dried going to Sam's Club because the lines are always so long but now, as I'm shopping, I can scan the items that I am purchasing and then when I'm done, I hate complete purchase, and I'm able to walk right to the door have them scan my receipt on my phone and leave it has made my experience and see him so much more enjoyable, and pleasant. I will say if I ever have an issue looking for anything there's always a staff member around and they have no problem with helping me and making sure I find exactly what I am needing or looking for! read more

Worse Sams Club I've been to. Club pick up order take over an hour to get after you check in on the app. Membership desk no one picks up. No one in the club has walkies on to communicate with each other. THIS CLUB needs a visit from home office bad. I understand being short staffed but if it's then bad they shouldn't offer service they can not fulfill. Ask anyone a question about anything they are confused or don't know how to answer and don't know how to figure out a solution. Employee needs better training and direction from their managers and company. read more

I have a membership and frequent the different locations quite a bit. Yesterday I ran over to the Manchester location specifically to get gas and a few household items. Their gas pump setup is not my favorite, but it wasn't too packed yesterday. It's hard to get in a "line" there and they only have 1 pump per stall. I ran in to get household items and decided at the last minute to grab a snack for lunch at the snack area. There was a short line and I learned that the customer at the front was placing a large order. I had been waiting only 2-3 minutes when a Manager came over, let everyone in line know there had been a large order and they would be with us as quickly as possible. He also offered everyone a free fountain drink just for hanging in there! Proactive, understanding customer service is not something you find everywhere. Kudos to the team at this store for identifying what could become a problem and taking preventative measures and communication! I will definitely be back to shop at this location. read more

Picked up my curbside order. I use curbside because I take care of my dying husband and it saves me time. Associate was rude, sighing, and threw things in my vehicle. Had chemicals and food in the same box. Left without a word at all. When I reported this to management, they said there had never been complaints about this person. They said they would review camera to "see if aim telling the truth". I happily told him to. Sam's has not responded. It's been over a week. My plus membership is up for renewal. Cheapest gas in town; members only. I don't have a large family or have use for much of the large quantity items that Sam's offer. I do enjoy the reasonable, much cheaper fuel option, the dog food/treat selections, produce, dairy and fresh vegetables that come bulk. This is my favorite Sam's Club location. Gas for the car- check. Fountain Diet Coke- check! Fresh flowers, pharmacy, photos, optical, cellular, jewelry, bakery, butcher, tire and auto- check, check, check... Okay so you get the point. I have shopped every department except one (Cigarettes) at this Sams Club over the years and keep coming back. I love the layout. I love that if I forget something in one area...I do not have to walk a football field and a half to find it. I love that their employees know there stuff! Don't even get me started on the Cakes...Best prices on custom made sheet cakes I have ever found. And they are not just good- they are moist and delicious. Pre- Order and pick up when you need. I get multiple sheet cakes a year for work functions through this store and everyone always loves them. read more

This is one of the better Sam's locations in town. The gas here is hit-n-miss cheap. I find the Kirkwood location to be the cheapest for gas. I love that this location has a car wash, it's the best. I get a great wash for $6 that includes the under carriage. They have a great selection of products and I don't find them to be as crowded as other locations, which is a plus. It makes for an efficient "Running Errands Day". I also ALWAYS get reeled in whenever they hand out samples... I'm guilty of walking over to a booth and... "Oh hey, what's this???" yeah I am still a fan. Mrs. K and I went shopping at Sam's today for our usual groceries. Good healthy food. Milk, Chlorine, batteries, green beans, dish soap. Oh the green beans are for my dogs. They like a healthy snack. Me not so much. So why am I writing this review? It was me not getting a free sample of Finish dishwasher soap. Yes just a few days before the wife and I got our two free samples. Knowing that we exceeded the amount of free one can get free we tried the kiosk anyway. I just love it when it buzzes and say hey mooch you have already had your limit of free. In fact I liked it so much Mrs. K and I went back and made it refuse us two more times. I always find everything I need at Sam's. We specifically go there for paper products: paper towels, bathroom tissue, Kleenex, paper plates in a variety of sizes, paper cup/lids for hot drinks, and, of course, puppy pads. And buying a delicious roasted chicken for 4.99 can't be beat. Great selection of meats and fish, specifically salmon, as well as their smoked salmon. I have used this Sam's Club a number of times due to its proximity to my office. For the most part my Sam's Club delivers an excellent value due to this locations price on gas, they are often one of the better priced stations in the area. I have also used the automotive department to get a battery replaced, and often grabbed items for the office here. The location itself can be a little confusing to get to, however once you are in the lot you will find more than enough parking, self-service gas pumps and a car wash. The inside of the store is clean and has a large selection of items and friendly staff. Overall Sam's Club offers a decent value, however its only what you make out of it for my money it has been well worth the membership cost and probably saved me a considerable amount just on gas over the years. read more

Normally I like this store , but a very disturbing thing happened. My girlfriend bought 24 cup cakes for an after school function. She noticed that only 3 cupcakes had the happy birthday toothpicks stuck in the cupcakes and removed them because it was not a party. It was odd only 3 had them in and not all 24. Once the kids bit into the cupcakes the plastic toothpicks were stuck in the middle with no happy birthday on top. This was very dangerous and could have seriously injured one of the children. It appeared as though the top of the decorative toothpick had been broken off and hidden in the cupcakes. We spoke with the manager Robin about this incident. Honestly, she is not seem concerned at all. Please be very careful if you buy baked goods from this location. read more

I wanted to keep one of my old tires, so they bagged it in plastic and put it in the back for me. You get your first rotation free. I've been going to Sam's for more than 30 years, and there are some things I get often: vitamins calcium Ceterizine cinnamon capsules Atkins chocolate shakes for breakfast: 160 calories, 2 carbs, 15g protein rotisserie chicken toilet paper paper towels tissues dog food dog treats frozen cherries frozen blueberries greek yogurt cherry tomatoes Not glamorous stuff. I tend to steer clear of the samples. I usually don't like them. Ground beef is 90/10, which is good for some things (chili), but not for burgers. 80/20 is better for burgers. Roasts are good cuts. Customer service is always great. Clerks when I'm coming in and going out are very friendly. Last time I was there, early July 2015, the checkout clerk said I had a $30 rewards bonus on my Sam's Plus MasterCard and asked if I wanted to apply it to this purchase. Yes, please. The customer service people here are not loving life.. or at least they weren't on Saturday when I went to join. At least there wasn't a line, even on a weekend afternoon. The store itself is clean for a warehouse and laid out just like every other wholesale club out there. Little bit of everything here. Great prices on steak too. I snack on beef jerky quite a bit and they have several varieties all at a great price. I switched from Costco recently just because Sam's is closer. I was pleasantly surprised to see they have an automated carwash here too. $6 for a nice touchfree wash that drags your car along on a belt. Worker there to help you get in and enter your code if you need it. Great deal! FYI, Sam's doesn't accept Visa any more, just Mastercard, Discover, and debit cards. read more

I think we find the best deals on things like baby clothing, baby books, diapers, wipes etc. But what I am finding increasingly dissappointing is that I often find items that I don't need in bulk anyway for the same price or cheaper at Wal-Mart. I don't really understand this since Sam's is suppose to be advantageous because you buy in bulk. I used to claim that I made back my $40 annual membership in gas savings but I don't think that is even true anymore because I can find gas just as cheap at regular fill stations. So, save a a few items that I will list as a great deal we may not continue our loyalty to Sam's as it just doesn't make much sense anymore. Roses are generally very cheap here and last a decent length of time. Of course, bulk party food is a good idea here and also bulk milk and eggs. If you own a small business I can see Sam's being helpful but if you are just getting groceries there for a small family, you'll get them cheaper at Walmart and you won't throw away the food you didn't get to in time. read more

I recently purchased four brand-new tires for my sons car and he got a nail in one of his tires . so I gave him the warranty envelope with the receipt and my membership card and told him to go up to Sam's and that they would take care of it and they turned him away because his mother wasn't with him and he's 21 years old. He showed his ID and we have the same matching last names same address. Still refused to fix it. It's Friday weekend before the 4th of July and I'm busy at work. Very disappointed! I decided to purchase a 2 pack of T-Bone steaks this afternoon and put one on the grill this evening. The filet portion of the T-bone was good but the main part of the steak was extremely tough. I tried cutting against the grain, but couldn't even see the grain. It is supposed to be USDA Choice Angus Beef with "rich marbling". Not hardly, otherwise it would not have been so tough. BTW, I cook it on an open grill outdoors and cook it to Medium Rare. After spending $48.29 for 2 steaks, NEVER AGAIN. At one time Sams Club put a label on the steak packages, guaranteeing the tenderness of the steak. Now I know why the label is no longer on the steaks. read more
