This is a review for Tire Choice #936 (1250 Old Orchard Center). I had been going to this location for many, many years and, until the past two years when they seemed to have retention issues with employees, I had received great service/experiences. The first issue was when I contacted them for a specialty service and they quoted me $800. I called three other service stations in the area and received quotes for the same service between $300-$400. The second, and most important, issue I encountered was in Dec. 2025. After doing a lot of research on pricing, rebates, and interest-free options for a new set of tires, they had the best "bang for my buck" and I purchased a set from them in Dec. 2024. I left my car the day before with a note that stated the services needed and that this was to be interest-free and I would be receiving $300 in rebates. I received the rebates, but not the interest-free; which I did not find out until the twelfth month when I went to the credit card website to make sure I had a zero balance. I didn't so I paid it off. But then I thought, "If the transaction amount was under $1,000, I should have only made 10 payments, not 12.". So, I started looking at all of the statements and noticed I had been charged interest monthly. When I called the credit card company on Monday, December 29, 2025, it was stated to me that they were not able to refund the interest of $164.20. However, if I had contacted them after the first month, they would have been able to fix it. I had set the account up with auto payments on my first bill and thought the whole purpose of auto pay was to not have to worry about making payments or checking statements. Also, I did not think it would be necessary to check the statements as it was stated in a note and verbally during checkout this was to be a 12-month interest-free purchase. When I made the first payment, there was no interest. Then, I called and left a message at the store, but nobody returned my call. So, I sent a certified letter to the credit card company with all the information to be reimbursed and they only credited back the last two interest rates totaling $28.43. Seriously?!?! To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I contacted the store again and this time was able to talk to someone. They told me that it was the person who completed my transaction that made the mistake as they have to click the interest-free button. This employee said that he didn't know why the other employee didn't hit the button because he always does. Apparently, this was supposed to make me feel better. It did not. Again, told nothing they could do. I say all of this for 1) to get it off my chest - it really ticks me off to lose $130+ especially when I'm on a budget, 2) if you need any specialty work done, get several quotes, and 3) make the employee show you at the time of checkout that they've done the simplest task ever given to a human being and pressed the interest-free button. I went to this place when I desperately needed an oil change and couldn't get into my dealership or local garage. They had good reviews, so I felt like I wouldn't be sold a bunch of "extra bs" because I am a woman. I was a little shocked at the price of an oil change on my vehicle ($150+) but because I had waited so long, that's on me. The waiting area is nice and comfortable, with clean restrooms. After my service was complete, they brought out my paperwork. According to them, my passenger axle was "busted", I needed all new tires and all new brakes. I just paid for my oil change and told them I would have my regular mechanic check everything out. When I went to check my paperwork, I noticed they had charged me for someone else's service! My regular mechanic also just replaced my brakes two months prior to this, rotated my tires and examined the tread, and then checked the supposed busted axle and found all of them to be fine and in working order. I'm not saying I wouldn't go back if I needed too, because the staff was friendly and respectful, but it is not going to become my regular shop. read more

Made an appointment for 6 o'clock got canceled an hour later. I called back at 9 AM in the morning they say they're booked up for the day so they can do it tomorrow. I called back to finalize an appointment for tomorrow and all of a sudden they have an availability for the same day so I head up to the store and they say that they have a call center in the Philippines that it goes to and they have no idea of their availability or staff so basically it's a completely dysfunctional business. I had one appointment canceled and showed up for another and they weren't able to do it. On top of all of that, I repeatedly asked the representative on the phone if they would mount used tires and turns out they aren't able to at all so even if their scheduling wasn't totally wonky I'd never be able to get my tires minted in the first place. Employee was also arguing with a customer stating that they had called him multiple times and he didn't answer, to which he showed them his empty call history and had the employee called him in front of the man and it went right through.would give zero stars if possible don't know how they're still in business read more

Went in for tire rotation & oil change. They didn't rotate tires. It was on my invoice, but not done. Luckily, I mark my wheels to make sure they rotate them. Been coming here for years. This place used to be great, but recently are under new management. No longer great. Not even good. read more

They were able to mount a used spare tire onto my car after I had a blowout, for a very fair price. Was turned down by a couple other places before I found them. Very friendly customer service as well. read more

I needed new tires, so I went to Auto Tire like I have the last 5 or 6 times I needed them. I told Cary I trusted him and for him to help me select the tires. He did and told me it was a great tire. I said thank you and went home. Then he called me and said I needed new lug nuts, again I trusted him, so I went for it. $70 before tax. Picked my car up, paid $796.43 and went home. I went to work that night, and when I got off at 8am and was driving home, my tire light came on. I drove to Auto Tire and talked to Gregg. He told me 3 of my tire censors are out and it would be about $100 each to fix them. I decided to go home and call a friend I really trust. He said "censors can go out, but if they work when you took it there, and now 3 out of 4 don't work, odds are they broke them doing the tire change. I went back to Cary and he said they did nothing wrong, but he could fix them for about $70 each. ( I guess these guys get to make their own prices, one guy said $100, the next guy $70? Well, they have lost my business. If after reading this you decide to still go, don't tell Cary you trust him, He wil stick it to you. read more

I have been taking my cars to Carey and Gregg at this shop for 14 years. I now take my daughters' cars there as well. Phil is newer and just as nice. These men don''t just care about your car, they care about YOU. They are always so helpful and never "talk down" to me. They are respectful and so courteous. They care about your safety in your vehicle. One time Gregg put new wipers on my car in the rain 15 minutes after the store had closed. Carey takes the time to educate my daughters on noises they should be aware of when they are driving to/from college. He was also honest enough once to tell me not to fix the car and that it was time for me to look for a new one. I will never leave these guys!! read more
