I had a macbook pro that was running very slow and sluggish after a new hard drive installation. I wasn't sure what the issue was, but from what I was reading online, it could've been many things. I found Sam by looking for computer repairs on CL, called him up and explained my situation and he told me to come by. I arrived and he started working immediately, and explained how he had to run a few tests before figuring out what was wrong with it - the hard drive and wires were fine. After some time of trail and error, everything was working (he had to replace the RAM). Really like Sam, because he is honest and I was able to watch everything he did and that is really important to me as a customer to be able to see what it is he was doing. Usually, I'm pretty skeptical of services found on Craigslist, but I took a chance with Sam to help recover data on a crashed hard drive and was more than satisfied at the outcome. I had gone to Best Buy first before I found Sam to see if they could recover my crashed hard drive and my business invoicing program and they gave up after having the computer for a couple of week. Last night I had a dream about a black puma. It was friendly and I was petting it until it was startled by some outside source. At that moment, I was unsure whether it would attack me. I awoke abruptly and went to my computer for fun to google the symbolism of "black puma" within dream interpretation. I clicked on a link and was suddenly attacked by a nasty virus with an audio warning and a prompt for me to call "Microsoft". Right... I tried shutting down and powering up but the virus kept directing me back to this malicious site. Enter Sam, puma hunter and computer expert extraordinaire. My laptop had a harddrive issue and couldn't even start up due to all types of malware. Sam worked his magic and now my computer is back in working condition. I work from home and the other morning my laptop just decided to die. In a panic I searched Yelp and found Sam and another local computer repair store. I called Sam and left a voicemail. I went to the local computer store just in case and they wanted to keep my laptop for 24 hrs. Thank goodness I didn't agree and left with my comp. On my way home Sam called me and was able to diagnose the issue which just the description I gave him over the phone. He was upfront about costs and said he could be over early the next morning. That was great with me! Two hours later he calls me back and says he was able to get the part my computer needed and would be able to fit me in that day.
