Once to Fry's and another time to another mom & pop repair. Both were over 10 years ago and both times I felt I was ripped off. After scanning througb the 1 & 2 star review's on yelp, I found this place. Jose wasn't available, but I was assured that they would find out what was the problem with my tower. Jose was nice enough to respect my lack of knowledge when it comes to PC's and I felt I got a steal. I will definately be back if I have another problem and or need to upgrade my PC.

The address is for a sports racket store where there's a random stack of printers in the middle of the store. Mike and/or his team I guess (?) pick up and drop off and you pay the guy at the counter who knows nothing about printers. I never saw the printer guys; just talked to Mike on the phone. It took almost 3 weeks, but at least prevented me from buying a whole new printer. If I spent another $100-150, though, I could have just gotten a new printer the next day. So this is the kind of situation you're dealing with.

She went twice, including once with an appointment, and both times the employee was late to open the store or meet her at the scheduled time. If you are taking appointments, you should at least be there on time. Second, she went in because her iPhone was having battery issues. They told her they could replace it with a "universal battery," which is misleading. After the replacement, her phone started having black screens, overheating, and other performance issues. When she went back, the employee then said iPhones do not take aftermarket batteries anymore. That makes no sense. Why offer that solution in the first place? Instead of properly fixing the issue, they offered a cash refund and said they did not want to get in trouble. That is very concerning. Between the unreliable hours, questionable repair practices, and lack of accountability, this place does not feel trustworthy. I would not recommend coming here.

Other repair…read morestores I called said there would be a several day wait, since they were busy Without an appointment, I walked in and spoke with Lian at the front desk. She was incredibly kind and took the time to explain the entire process to me. Since I arrived close to closing time and didn't have an appointment, she let me know they would run diagnostics on my laptop the following day. There's an $89 diagnostic fee, and if repairs are needed, part of the $89 fee can be used towards the cost, which felt reasonable. The next day, Martin called to let me know there was no damage and that he had cleaned the affected keys. He explained that my laptop passed all tests, but the battery was consumed. When I wasn't sure what that meant, he patiently explained and advised that since the battery wasn't swelling and the computer was still performing well, there was no need to replace it unless I noticed issues. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain everything and didn't try to upsell me. I was able to pick up my laptop later that same day which was less than 24 hours after dropping it off. I highly recommend Di-No for honest and fast service!

Our main office was vandalized recently by some lowlife youth who damaged every phone, computer, window, and desk they could get their hands on. We have a security system set up in our office - we have an alarm, which went off and the police were alerted. We also had two security cameras outside the building. However, the vandals must have seen them because they destroyed them as well. The vandals got away, and we had no footage of them because the cameras were blown to pieces. We spent a few days getting everything back in order cleaning up the mess, ordering new equipment, and so on. We had a lot of data stored on our computers that we needed back, so one of our manager's brother in law who is an FBI hostage negotiator expert living in Pasadena referred us to Sam's computer repair, they were highly recommended so we went ahead and hired them for the job, they graciously helped us recover all of it. Now, here's the interesting part. Since they did a good job with our Pc and Macs hard drives at the office, we wondered what would happen if we also gave them the damaged security cameras. Those had internal hard drives, after all, so we figured we'd let them give it try and see what they can do. And here's what happened. One of them was beyond hope, but the other - they managed to yank the data off of it, and they pieced together the footage of the vandals breaking into the office. We immediately alerted the police, and they managed to identify the perpetrators. we're planning on demanding that the vandals pay for all damages. We are really looking forward to this, and we owe this to Sam's Computer repair. Thank you very much! read more

My hp laptop fell in a friends house in Arcadia and the screen got damaged, I visit this friend very often as they live close to the Santa Anita race track and we follow many horse races live or on my laptop as most races video are available online. I contacted Best Buy Geek squad in Pasadena as my laptop was still under the extended warranty and I had all the right extra protection plans for accidental damage theft etc.. I was told they can not perform a cracked screen replacement on a laptop at that location, I asked if they have any other location I can go to and I was told no best buy Geeksquad in Los Angeles area nor other cities in California can do this kind of repair on the spot and it has to be sent to a repair center out of state ( somewhere in Texas) and it might take between 1 to 2 months for the repair to be completed and the unit to be shipped back to me, I was very very disappointed and furious as I use this laptop for work and entertainment and I can't wait that long. Make this long story short, I found Sam, he was available that day he fixed it within 15 minutes and charged me less than $150 for parts and labor and everything. he already had the right part and was able to take care of my problem quickly. other repair-shops I called quoted me between $200 and $250 and they didn't have the part available so a week or 2 of waiting with them, with Sam it took less than 20 minutes I couldn't be more thankful for the quality of the service and the price. thanks Sam read more

Absolutely outstanding service, couldn't be happier with the quality of the service and the price, for me the best tech service in Arcadia and Pasadena area. They got my computer up and running and I fortunately did not lose any of my stuff. I totally flipped out when my desktop computer crashed, bestbuy Geeksquad was not a help whatsoever, and Sam very patient with multiple problems we had with our computers and router. My husband and I just bought a brand new laptop that we wanted to make wireless. We bought a Netgear router but we are having difficulty connecting to the internet . Sam fixed my corrupted hard drive on my desktop, recovered and restored all my files, connected our wireless printer and the new router with the new laptop and unbelievably didn't ask for more money, he charged us a Flat fee very fair despite the fact that we had 5 issues and he fixed them all. Sam didn't treat us like we were just some client, his visit felt personal, he treated us like friends and family, providing many tips and advices about the way we could improve our user experience dealing with our day to day activities on our computers and he left my desktop computer running like it was almost new. I took my Toshiba laptop to Sam after receiving an outrageous quote for repair at Best Buy. I had accidentally spilled a drink on the laptop and the keyboard stopped working. The computer still turned on and seemed to function normally when using the mousepad, but the keyboard was useless. I had purchased the laptop at Best Buy, but it was not under warranty. I took it there anyway to get a quote for repairs, telling them that I just wanted the keyboard replaced, since the computer seemed to be functioning otherwise. A week and a half later, they told me that the motherboard had been damaged and quoted me almost $400 to fix it! I promptly requested to get my computer back. I found Sam on a local Google search, and called him to discuss my problem. He said that he could replace the keyboard and check for any other damage. Sam was very quick in replacing the keyboard and getting it working again. He also told me that he saw NO DAMAGE to the motherboard!!! I am very grateful that I did not take Best Buy's word for it and pay a ridiculous amount of money! My laptop has been working great since the repair and I am very grateful to Sam for his help. The desktop PC that I dedicated to Netflix streaming in the family room stopped dead a couple weeks ago in midstream(ing)! Overheating? Nope. Software malfunction? Nope. Hardware issue? Most likely, said Sam, who helped me figure this out over the 'phone on my very first call to him. The guy's very generous and knowledgeable; I was impressed. I tried to fix the machine myself, but kept striking out. Couldn't get the thing to even POST (turn on). So I called Sam again. He offered to come to my house to look at the machine (and all for a reasonable price). Once on site he found the problem in just a few minutes----a bad cable running from the power supply to the CPU on the motherboard. Sam then stayed around to help me boot the machine, told me if I had any problems installing hardware to give him a call. Generous. And later around 7 pm I did call----about the installation of a video card. Once again, Sam provided good advice. The PC in question now merrily streams my movies. I hired Sam to fix a virus in my computer and update my computer to Windows 8 after I heard what a great job he did for my mom's computer... She runs a bookkeeping business and her computer crashed. Sam helped her recover all her data. So when my computer got a virus Sam came to the rescue. He was very nice and knew exactly how to fix the problem. my computer screen cracked and I took it the Geek Squad to have a price quote and repair done. Upon looking at the computer and plugging it into another unit, I was told that the mother board was no longer good and that the computer needed to be replaced. I called Sam and he told me to bring it in so that he could have a look at it and make sure that the diagnosis was correct before I went out and purchased another computer, He found right away that there was nothing wrong with the mother board and only the screen needed to be replaced. Sam is really the best!!! I brought my Toshiba laptop to him few months ago to have my hard drive repair. The hard drive was fully repaired; the upgraded windows; and the lot faster speed. I found Sam on craigslist because I was looking for a ac adapter for my laptop, he had the best deal and when I met with him he made sure the ac adapter he sold me powered up my laptop, he even brought with him a power supply you plug into your car cigarette lighter but my cigarette lighter didn't work so he trusted me to take the ac adapter to a near by Starbucks and plug it in there. This guy is awesome! I called him to get a new charger for macbook pro and met him the same day. Then I just asked him whether he could restore my old corrupted hard drive from mac. Apple products restore companies were charging half the cost of a new laptop, so i decided to pass on that and I put my drive in the drawer until Greece pays all the debt. Michael helped me reinstall the network drivers and patiently checked every possible cause of the problem. When none of it seemed to work, he told me there was no charge for his time. But when I got home and turned the laptop back on, it automatically connected to the internet! It turned out everything Michael had done had worked, the laptop just needed one more restart. I went back to Computer Plus wanting to pay him, but Michael refused to accept any payment. He said he had only spent about 10 minutes reinstalling the drivers and didn't think it was fair to charge me. How can someone be so kind? He said hed take a look and quoted me an estimate based on what he thought the problem was and said it would take a few days. The next day he calls me and tells me its ready for pick up and he fixed the problem. Charged me less than quoted and its been working fine since. No damage no extra upsells, just good honest work. Mike and his team are professionals and broke everything down so i understood what i was paying for and their work is super solid. Cant even tell my console was taken apart.
