Sam's has an excellent selection of fresh and packaged foods. We love their sandwiches - today we got a Little Italy, a Harry Potter, and a Cape Cuban. They were so fresh and well priced, the Harry Potter might be the best sandwich I've ever had! They are an easy go-to for fresh sides when we barbecue at home. I recommend ordering ahead of time so you don't have to wait for your order, but we don't mind browsing the shelves for new items once in a while. read more

Stopped by this deli for a quick lunch. The Sandwiches were stuffed with fresh ingredients and very reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and handled a big crowd of customers with ease. There are some picnic tables outside but the rain kept us inside. Would have been nice to have more indoor seating to make it a more inviting place to stay and eat. Best sandwich ever! Ordered the Basil Rathbone based on other reviews and was happy that it was as good as stated. The sourdough bread made the sandwich. My husband had the Joe DiMaggio and also was pleased. The homemade cookies are also great - especially the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip. We called in our order at 11:30 am and were given a 40 minute pickup time. Plan ahead but worth the visit. read more

We were searching on Yelp and we came across Sams Deli and saw it was close by so let's give it a try! Great variety of deli meats, cheese, chicken salads, potato salads and more. They had exactly what we were looking for I wanted chicken salad and my boyfriend was looking for some prosciutto! We ordered our sandwiches the girl at the counter was very friendly even let me sample the chicken salad that was very tasty! Our sandwiches were made exactly how we ordered and we didn't have to wait long at all! Ingredients were fresh and we both were very satisfied with our sandwiches! Awesome spot! We grabbed sandwiches, which were very good, and ate outside on the many picnic tables they had set up.

Disappointing. Although they make great sandwiches, you have to cross your fingers and hope they get your order right. We've gotten the wrong sandwich at least 5 times in the past 2 years. What's worse is that they are not friendly or accommodating when they are asked to correct their error. So, before you go, ask yourself if you're willing to play sub sandwich roulette. If the answer is yes, go for it. You might be lucky and get the right sandwich or at least like the wrong one that they give you. But if you're looking for consistency and quality customer service, I'd suggest you go elsewhere. read more

Disappointed in the "convenient" on-line ordering process. Ordered at 2:30 for 3:00 pick-up; but wasn't ready until almost 3:30. (It wasn't even the lunch hour rush.) All three sandwiches were not made custom, as ordered. No mayo or tomato, had both; on ciabatta bread, came on an extremely hard hoagie; toasted, not toasted. These were all specialty sandwiches. I'll start with the good -- the sandwiches, breads, and pastries all amazing. You need to order ahead otherwise you are going to be waiting for 30 min+. The other offerings such as lasagna, pasta salad, coffee, etc. are ok but not great and very pricey. The reason for the low-rating is because I've been coming to Sam's deli for 10+ years and the service has gotten increasingly worse. I brace myself every time I call in an order. The people on the phone and in the deli are so rude - it is baffling. The pick up vs in-store order checkout could not be more chaotic. There should be some sort of instruction on how best to pick up your food when you arrive. The sandwiches really are amazing I wish they could put effort into treating their customers with basic respect. So know before you go -- the rude attitudes don't correlate to the quality of the food. read more

For example this guy Brendan was a great worker who was very personable and a great sandwich maker, probably made the best sandwiches I've ever had from here, and the very few like him make me feel welcome. Food-cannot go wrong with Boars Head and fresh bread! We stopped here due to the yelp reviews after a day at the beach. The help, however, was not friendly. My son has severe allergies to egg and milk. The manager did not feel like she had to help us, and appeared irritated that we were even asking for help. I assume she was the manager, as she was probably 20 years older than the rest. Most people at food establishments are glad to assist in finding a little boy something he can eat. Not here. The sandwiches have really gone down hill. They are overloaded with condiments. I've tried asking to go easy on the condiments and they give more! My first time here by recommendation. Wow! this place is soo busy. I ordered the Smoked Turkey Cheddar Melt in baguette instead of the wrap. It was fresh and delicious! I went back the next morning to pick up a breakfast sandwich. I got the egg and cheese on a hard roll which I didn't care much about. Great little deli with some of the best bread EVER. No trip to the Cape is complete without a sandwich from Sam's. Great daily "special" sandwiches, as well as a menu of classics. You can build your own sandwich from a lengthy list of ingredients and everything tastes fresh. The best part is, the portions are huge so you can usually get two meals out of one sandwich! Forgotten I'd complained about the coffee here. It's actually very good. Everything else I said before goes: especially recommend the turkey club. They also make a good chicken pie. My only complaint now is if you buy a quart of soup they put it in a very flimsy container with a very solid lid. More than once I've lost a lot of it in the car driving home. Should also add that a couple of friends who visited me on the Cape have now made this a must do when they come up here the sandwiches are that good. read more

Average sandwiches in a good location not many options if you want some lunch for the beach. Probably one of the worst managed places on the cape. I thought last year they were disorganized by chance but nope! That's just who they are - orders get confused or lost no one has a grip on efficiency. Because ONE person is assigned an order so ONE person was making our 8 sandwiches while all the singles were in and out. It's surprisingly hard to find a good sandwich in this area. This deli offers upscale sandwiches of the kind you're likely to find in a nice city Cafe. The sandwich menu is creative although focused on typical cold cuts. The prices are pretty good for what you get. The breakfast sandwiches are disappointing though.
