After speaking with Blaine, he was able to send out a guy the next morning between 8-10. I had called back after our phone call and left a message requesting if they could either call or text when they were 15-20 mins away just in case I was out running errands or busy on a call at work. That didn't happen. I was out doing an errand. Around 8:45 Adam shows up and I'm not home. Luckily I left the side door open for him to inspect everything. I rushed home and spoke to Adam who inspected everything he said yup, for sure our spring needed to be replaced. We also had him change out both garage door cables too. After about 30-45 mins Adam was done! Boom! Garage door was able to open no problem! Adam was kind enough to give me a quick 101 on how to maintain our garage door too. I'd give this company 5 stars because of how fast and efficient Adam worked. Only thing I would have knocked off for was if they could've just shot me a quick text/call on their way over. I get it, they give a 2 hour window, but there's a lot that could be done within 2 hrs especially if you have to work.

He was over in a short time (had to finish a job he was in the middle of). He helped me manually open my garage door, which was "heavy" due to the broken spring. A friend had told me to upgrade from a 10,000 cycle spring to a 25,000 cycle spring (2-1/2 times the life). Shane was surprised when I asked him, but only because no one asks that normally. The price increase was just a little more, and it took a little longer to do, but definitely worth it. Sorry, lots of words... here's the important part: Shane was a pleasure to work with, a great handyman, was available, and prices were reasonable. We purchased or home before it was built. Our builder installed wooden side gate was already…read morerepaired once and now was sagging, warping and just getting old. It was time to replace it with something sturdier and less likely to warp, shrink, fade. I did a lot of research on what materilas would best hold up to the brutal So Cal summers we have. I also had to keep within the Architectural guidelines of our HOA for fences. I found a company in Orange, CA, called SoCal Gates. I established contact with the owner, Ray, who is a really knowledgeable and personable guy to work with. We scheduled an appointment for him to come to our home to show us color samples of the composite material we would choose for him to use in our steel framed gate. Ray arrived, and had us look at the different colored composite samples while he took his measurements. He then went over with us the color choices and which ones would intergrate best with our home's exterior colors, including the tiled roof and front entry door and garage door. He explained how he visualized the gate would look, once mounted. We agreed on the materials and and the price. He mentioned that his installation pricing included the removal of the gate from the cinder block wall it was attached to, but did not include the removal of the old fence post or the haul away fo the old fence. After hiring another fence company to remove the fence post, back fill with concrete and haul away all of the old fence, Ray told he would've done it had I specifically asked him, for an extra charge. In fact, he told me how to remove the old post myself, so that gave me the impression he would prefer to just to install the gate with the old fence gone and the area prepped for his installation. After the HOA approved my gate plan, It only took a few weeks for Ray to build our gate and to schedule a date and time for the installation. On the day of the installation, I watched Ray assemble and install my agte, He is meticulous and thoughtful throughout his installation process. He showed me how to change out the composite planks if I ever needed to, and how to program our electronic lockest. We are very happy with out new sturdy, side gate. I would recommend anyone needing a new steel framed gate with composite planking to contact Ray.

All they did was LIE to me OVER & OVER. I hired this company to install a new garage door opener on 6/30/2026 for $1500. I confirmed with Danny twice that it would include 2 Remotes and Keypad. Danny's response twice was "it includes everything". He quickly installed the motor, then wanted $700 more constituting the 1st lie. I told him to take the motor down and leave. This was a classic "bait & switch" tactic. I now read he did this to another person who posted a review. He then agreed to honor our agreement. After I paid him, he gave me only one remote control and no keypad, which constitutes the 2nd lie. Danny started to argue with me and was just plain nasty. He told me to buy the 2nd remote and keypad at Home Depot & install them myself. I called and they set up appointments to fix the issue and never showed up 3 times wasting my time and money constituting the 3rd, 4th, and 5th lie to me. As soon as I posted my negative review, I received an immediate call from Danny who asserted that I had the wrong business and to take down the review and that it was costing him business. My phone displayed it was the same business just under a different different name. Additionally, I recognized his pronounced Middle Eastern accent. When I called him on it he said they would fix the issue even though they were not the same business that I was complaining about. I had already reported them to Thumbtack, where I hired them from, and Danny responded to them which confirmed their identity as Best Guys Solution Garage Door and OA Garage Door Repair was the same business constituting the 6th lie to me. They operate under various names: OA Garage Door Repair OA Garage Door & Gate Services Best Guys Solution Garage Door Panorama Garage Door and they change the last word to Services, Repair, Repairs, Gate or Gates and who knows how many other names. In my opinion, they change their name to get a new list of reviews so they can leave the negative reviews behind. They use at least these numbers: (949) 615-2360 (888) 980-4439 (213) 255-4176 (213) 756-3799 (818) 979-1436 (818) 699-4556 especially this number. So looking at the number is the best way to see who they really are. I am still out the $100 for the 2nd remote and the keypad I bought and all the time they cost me. Before you hire them get their real name, license number and address before you do business with them. I could not find any kind of license from the State of CA, the County or City or their real name. In my opinion, shady businesses should be exposed as to who they really are. If you are a woman be especially concerned. They must think woman are stupid from the reviews. See 5/3/26 review, 6/16/26 review. I recommend you do your homework before you hire them. P.S. Immediately after I posted this I refused to take his call, he texted me many times and he offered to pay me $100 to remove my post. He should treat people with respect and honesty and he would not get negative reviews nor have to change their name so often. read more

This morning, just my luck, I opened the garage door only for the spring to break. To make matters worse, I had an important meeting at noon. I reached out via Yelp and was bombarded with dozens of text messages from brokers representing various garage repair companies--super frustrating. After contacting a few companies, some promised to stop by within the hour, but I wasn't holding my breath. Then, I found OA Garage Doors & Gates. I called them and they said that there is no waraty on labor and only 1 month waranty on parts, but in the invoce they put 1 year waranty. Asked me to try to move the sensors around to fix it. I spent 2 hours before I alligned them. Again after a few days I had same problem, and when I reach this business I get the same response. Basically they want to extarct money from me again to visit and fix the work which they did within the last 2 months. Now I have a garage that wont close, and forced to look for another service on Yelp to fix this.

Wasn't even the same company he was working for (this one). I got completely scammed & at the end of the day, that's my fault. Called again and spoke to someone that said " company owner is out of the country, and I don't know when he will return. I'm unable to verify your warranty status" . Then I submitted another project inquiry on Yelp, and they stated they were eager to come by and diagnose the issue. These guys do a poor job on the install, then don't honor the warranty . They just want more money from you. The sensors of my unit weren't even installed correctly . Lazy and poor customer service . AVOID THIS COMPANY

Also Yonatan indicates hi company is a Member of the Berrer Business Bureau. However a search on their website indicated there is no member by that name.
