I wish I could give this place zero stars…read more I took my vehicle to Brake Check to have the brakes replaced. After they completed the work, they left the vehicle in brake maintenance/service mode, which meant I did not have normal braking operation. When I contacted them about it, their solution was essentially to take it to Ford. I took their advice and contacted Ford. Ford specifically told me not to drive the vehicle in that condition because it was not operating normally. That put me in an incredibly difficult position because, like most working-class people, I don't have another vehicle sitting around that I can just use. At that point, I decided to take it to a Ford dealership to have the problem they created properly diagnosed and repaired. While I was actually driving to Ford, Brake Check called me and told me they couldn't get my vehicle in until Monday morning. Then came the part that really frustrated me: they insisted they had done nothing wrong because, in their words, "technically they changed the brakes." That's not customer service. That's refusing to take responsibility for a problem that occurred immediately after their work. The service was awful, the attitude was even worse, and I felt like they simply didn't care that their mistake left me without a properly functioning vehicle. If you are trusting a shop with something as important as your brakes, you should be able to expect the job to be completed correctly and safely--not be told to take the vehicle somewhere else when their work leaves it in an unsafe condition. This place needs new management and a serious change in how they treat customers. I would strongly recommend taking your vehicle somewhere else. I will be warning as many people as possible about my experience so they can avoid going through the same thing. Absolutely the worst automotive service experience I've had.

Everything went great, they fixed my AC (I was worried about the cost being super high but it wasn't), changed my breaks, and did a full inspection. I mostly dealt with Aaron and he was so great - friendly, knowledgeable, communicative. And here's the best part - they saved me a ton of money. I went to Big O Tires to get an oil change a few months ago and they were having a deal to get a full car inspection to see if any work needed to be done. So BOT gave me a quote of $1,459.99 to get everything serviced on my car. I didn't get the work done. Well, my total bill at Christian Brothers was $395.15. I'm not the kind of person that knows ANYTHING about cars so I really wouldn't have known better what parts and labor and everything should cost. I'm not saying Big O Tires was trying to take advantage of me buuuuut I meeeaaan... that's a pretty big difference in price. I obviously couldn't be happier!

The staff was rude, dismissive, and acted like I was an inconvenience for asking basic questions about my own vehicle. They replaced parts I did NOT need, without properly explaining or confirming anything, and then charged me more AFTER the repair was already done. On top of that, the fourth quote was DOUBLE the total cost for ONE part, and they weren't even sure about the labor--despite it being a 1.5-hour job. I was originally quoted 599.99 w tax and enned up almost paying 1600 for four parts, that i brought. brought my own parts, expecting to pay labor only. Instead, I got charged an inflated amount that felt like I was paying for the time they sat around doing nothing. This shop is disorganized, unprofessional, and dishonest with pricing. If you value transparency, respect, or not being taken advantage of, go somewhere else. I will never return and do not recommend this place to anyone.

My friend spoke with them first while I was at another shop. Initially my friend told them I may need to change back to the old headlights. When I arrived at BYOP I told the guy in the office the headlights worked and all I needed was for them to be leveled. The guy wanted me to pay for a diagnosis so I explained to him the lights work fine, and all I needed was leveling. Since my friend started the ticket I left it in her name. If I knew she signed for a diagnosis instead of just leveling the lights, I would have went somewhere else. Bottom line up front, they charged $273 to diagnose and level the headlight (more than what I paid for the light). Diagnose what? Not once did they call and say the lights did not work, or they were installed improperly, or anything to that effect. All they had to do was level the lights. If there was more to be done, pick up the phone and tell me you weren't able to level them and let me decide what to do next. Did not happen. I explained how I did not appreciate this entire process since I specifically said the lights needed to be leveled. The guy in the office called the manager Martin (who is located at the 1604 location) who gave me $50 off and made it $210. One of the problems is you have (1) manager for all (3) locations who makes it sound like he is really going to assist you, but in the end, the price is always higher at checkout. Why do the employees in different locations have to call Martin for every transaction? This business is very unprofessional and unorganized. They also do not have a fee sheet to tell you how much their services cost, nor do they itemize what was done, especially if Martin gives a customer a "package deal". Find a reputable business that is upfront with their costs and business practices or find a "backyard mechanic" with integrity and moral values. Not a business like this always trying to overcharge by any means possible. DO NOT USE ANY LOCATION. It is NOT WORTH IT!
