This is my second time retuning to this location of " Pollos Mario" o my because my mother "LIKED" it.... it was her birthday and we always take her somewhere she likes... Well well well few years later and things just have gotten worst. Let's start with....... Customer service : Employees are extremely rude and not friendly at all. They stare you down and give you bad looks as if you owe them a million dollars. My sister went to the bathroom and after she return to the table and sat down she realized her phone was missing and the employees were all acting sus because apparently one went into the restroom after her and never returned the phone... they tried to blame it on another customer !! Think if it was another customer they would have returned it!! WHATEVER! The phone was returned and that's when they started to act all weird. Food: mediocre food levels , tasteless and the pork in my bandeja Paisa tasted so much like pork and bland!!!!! No wonder there was only two customer in this descent sized restaurant with two levels.. so sad... management needs a better cook and better employees!!! I will not be returning to this location. The one in queens is so much better and friendlier!!!

This was and is the best Pollos Mario to me!! My family and frequent the one located on Woodhaven Blvd and while that is delicious this one really tops it for me. Not only is it larger in size, with a slight upper porch dining area, the food was just a tad better here. I kept to my usual Bandeja De Mario which never disappoints but here the taste of the meats from the char of the flat pans just did it for me. I told my husband this will be our new Pollo Mario spot going forward. Service was good, ferried my and attentive but the food was definitely a star!

nice big open area with a small second flow

a family oriented restaurant where they are fast to ask for what you want to eat and enough options to keep you telling them give me 5 more minutes. the meals come with salads, can be ordered in half portions, and the rice and beans always hit the spot. im always partial to the skirt steak here considering how they make it which is usually medium well. be sure to asked for well done if you want want the meat red. be sure to get tostones for the sauce from the meats or the guac that you may get. this is a great place to come with a group and just to eat, and hear nothing from anyone for the first 10 mins as they all eat.

For $35 I should be allowed to make changes to a dish especially when I have certain food allergies and dietary restrictions

It's my first time eating here and I ordered from Uber eats so I can only speak from my take out experience. I was craving Latin food but I am allergic to many things so I included special instructions on my order that they basically ignored and then they wrote on my Receipt "this time only no changes". BTW I paid full price for my meal I took off a lot of stuff from The dish so I do think they should give me a side of veggies free of charge since I took off most of the sides . What kind of restaurant doesn't take into account someone's dietary restrictions? With that being said clearly customer service is not important to them so I won't be back.

Food was fine but service was horrendous. How do we order another coke to two different servers and received none of the two? But they were on our bill? If it was a busy night I could understand BUT the waitress was sitting with her coworker counting tip money.. that's not being productive. Never again. Attached photo is the second bill they brought after correcting their mistake.

Love that this place has its own parking lot. Super friendly service. Can never go wrong with the typical. Will be coming back for sure.

Located on Franklin Ave, before all the car dealerships, right by Hempstead Turnpike, I passed this place a zillion times, always wanting to try it. My husband, dad, his girlfriend and I came here for my birthday dinner around 7:00 on a Sunday night. There was additional parking in the back where a man (worker) waved me into a space. The restaurant is quite large, so we did not have to wait for a seat. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was that the food took a long time to come out. The waitress said our empanadas would take 20 minutes because they had a party upstairs. We ordered them anyway figuring they would come out with our food. Well our food took a very long time, maybe 45 mins? and the empanadas came out even later when we were finished with our food. It didn't matter though as that was the only real complaint for the night. The food was excellent, well worth the wait! I ordered skirt steak with onions and it was perfect. The rice and beans were excellent. I tried the thinly pounded breaded pork cutlets which were super tasty (Lomo) (reminded me of Chicken cutlets) and I tried my dads chicken which was perfect also! Not too much sauce and very tender. (reminded me of Chicken Francaise) My husbands dish was a little bit of everything and his steak (was also very tender), which has been very dry at other places was delicious. I love the fact the menu is in English and Spanish and they show pics!! Everything was excellent. I will be back.

So I am just returning home from grabbing dinner earlier today. I ordered the fried red snapper and swapped the plantains for fried yuca. Mistake #1. The salad was ok but when the hot plate arrived I was sadly let down. I had to keep adding hot sauce or other seasoning. The fish had no flavor. The fried yuca was fried too hard. After a few mins it harden and just wasn't worth it. The best part of my plate was the rice. Oh and I sipped on a fresh lemonade. Refreshingly good. I haven't been here in years but it used to be highly recommended and worth it. Heck I used to live in BK and take the LIRR out. But after today I can say I'm good.

Gosh this was a strawberry something so good!

I even received a rose for the occasion! However, we waited 10 minutes before someone finally approached us and asked, 'Is anyone helping you? Are you okay with tap water?' I understand it was a busy Valentine's Day weekend, but I expected a proper greeting rather than just being asked about tap water. When she brought the water, she asked if it was our first time. We said yes, expecting a brief explanation of the restaurant's concept. Instead, she just said, 'Technically, the meats will come to you, and you can go to the market and get anything you want. That's our special for tonight, you can go ahead and head over to the marketplace.' We went to the 'marketplace,' and it was delicious! We tried several items, and everything was tasty and fresh. Salads. Cold cuts. Rice. Beans. Zero complaints there. Back at the table, the gauchos began bringing the meats--filet mignon, picanha, sausage, bacon-wrapped steak, chicken, and lamb. Everything was cooked to perfection. The service, however, stayed subpar. My mango caipirinha arrived five minutes later, but my husband's Coke never showed up. We waited all dinner for it and never received it. Our waitress only came back once because we flagged her down for water, and then again for the check. Even the tables around us were wondering where she was. This was extremely disappointing!!! Zero smiles or a nice tone from Her. The food was delicious (5 stars), but the service she provided was definitely 0 stars. I want to come back for the food, but the service is making me think twice.

As soon as we walked in I noticed the ambiance and decor was a bit classy and dim (my type of vibe). The entrance was a little tricky as we had to walk through the restaurant to get to the hostess table. We had reservations, but we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. I am glad we waited, because she sat us in the perfect area. We started off with the appetizers of oysters, meatballs and crab cakes. The meatballs and oysters were exquisite, the crab cakes could've stayed in the ocean. For the main course we chose the short ribs and the prime rib which was cooked perfect. For desert we got the apple crumb and the cheesecake, delish. The drinks were on point as well, we got the old fashioned and the lychee martini. Both were made perfect! The only thing that I was disappointed about a little was the service. Our server tried his best but the restaurant was busy because it was the last day of restaurant week. 45$ for 3 courses! I have no complaints except for the crab cakes. I would definitely go back and pay full price! This place is classy, food is excellent and service could improve, but it wasn't the worst.

Our waiter was great when we first sat down to get drinks out and to order. However, during dinner service, we had not seen him again. I think we had to flag other staff just to grab him at some point as we needed utensils and refills on water. We also wanted to order more drinks but it just took a long time to get his attention. We were a party of eight and was here to celebrate my birthday. Appetizers we tried: 1) thick cut candied bacon (it was indeed thick, and we did not have the kimchi on the side it was paired with), 2) Double cream Burrata with fig (it was okay, not memorable), 3) Wagyu Meatballs (really disappointing, temperature cook was uneven. One side was hard/tough like burnt and the other side was softer). 4) two orders of lobster bisque (a tad salty, had some lobster pieces, I would've preferred creamier). From finishing the appetizers, we had to wait an entire 55 minutes for our entrees to come out. We were told any moment, two times, but it was not. It took way too long. And at this point, we needed water refills and wanted to order wine. It was very chaotic and we could not find our waiter. Onto to dinner entrees: 1) porterhouse for two (heavily seasoned and again cooked at an inconsistent temperature). A few pieces were almost raw near the bone. 2) two orders of King Prime Rib, most of it was medium rare. But again, as we got closer to the inside and near the fatty sections, it was too rare/raw even. 3) Queen Prime Rib was ok. More medium than medium rare. 4) Filet mignon, which is supposed to be the most tender, it was not. It was over cooked and the meat was dry and grainy. Very disappointed. I do not recommend this at all. Onto desserts: we opted for some cappuccino and just two desserts: two affogato's and an almond cake with citrus. It was fine, but not memorable. We spent almost $900 including tip but it was literally the most disappointing steakhouse experience I've had ever. I do not recommend. It's fine for a night out for drinks but not for the steak.

No shade, but Ruth's Chris is like the Chick-fil-A of steakhouse; consistent, but not my go-to for fine dining. That said, I've been dining here for over a decade, and the food has always been consistent. The stuffed chicken and calamari are still favorites of mine. I do respect the effort to enforce a dress code in the dining area. However, it must be applied fairly and consistently not in a way that feels selective or discriminatory. Upon arrival, my party and I made sure we were dressed according to policy and even had the dress code on hand. When it was time to be seated, the hostess, Nicole, without much engagement, seated us at a high-top table near the bar. When we asked why, she stated, "We have a strict policy on athletic wear." This immediately caused confusion, as neither of us was wearing athletic wear. I was dressed in a custom Daniel's Leather, Fox Fur Trim Leather coat, leather leggings, designer sneakers, and a dressy off-the-shoulder sweater. My friend wore black jeans, a dressy off-the-shoulder top, and designer sneakers. We were both taken aback, as nothing about our outfits aligned with athletic wear. We asked to speak with a manager for clarification. The supervisor (whose name I unfortunately didn't catch, possibly Melissa) was professional, understanding, and immediately clarified that leggings were not an issue and that our attire was appropriate. She was apologetic and even checked on us again during dinner, which was appreciated. However, when returning to the front with the manager so we could be reseated properly, Nicole remained unprofessional. She was neither apologetic nor interested in addressing the situation in a respectful or human way. What made the situation more concerning was that while seated, I observed several other guest all Caucasian who were clearly underdressed seated without issue. This included individuals in tracksuits (which are definitively athletic wear),regular running sneakers, ripped jeans, graphic T-shirts, (one with Michael Myers on it and bold white letters saying "Party Crasher" also two ladies with standard leggings that were far more casual than what I was wearing. Aside from this experience, everything else was great. Our waitress, Aya, was phenomenal especially for someone new. She was knowledgeable about the menu, kind, and attentive throughout the evening. Even offered add-ons, yet not being pushy upselling which myself having experience in customer service she was great employee. The food, as always, was consistent, and the manager handled the situation professionally. Unfortunately, the experience with the hostess left a lasting negative impression. It's disappointing, because as the first point of contact, that interaction sets the tone for the entire evening--and in this case, it was handled in a way that felt distasteful, unfair and blatantly discriminatory.

The restaurant has a beautiful, bright, modern atmosphere that feels much more upscale than its surroundings. Based on other reviews, the standout dishes seemed to be the grilled Spanish octopus and the SB Smash Burger, so I ordered both. Unfortunately, the execution fell short in several areas. The East Coast oysters arrived with mignonette but without horseradish or oyster forks--small details, but noticeable oversights. The oysters, octopus, and burger were all tasty, but the presentation of octopus and burger was surprisingly sloppy, as though little attention had been paid when the dishes left the kitchen. The bar also was understaffed. A single bartender was serving both the bar and the entire dining room, which led to waits for drinks. My bartender was friendly, attentive, and worked hard, but one person simply wasn't enough. I finished with the Key Lime Custard, which had what appeared to be a layer of shredded cereal on the bottom. I wasn't sure what it was. The dessert itself was enjoyable, though I think a base of toasted sliced almonds with a few fried blueberries on top of it would have added better texture and complemented the flavors more effectively. One nice perk is the validated valet parking, for a reduced fee, which makes arriving and leaving especially convenient given the mall location. The whiskey selection could also be improved by adding a few more interesting, off-the-beaten-path single malts or blends. Overall, the kitchen shows promise! And perhaps I came on an off night. With better attention to presentation, appropriate bar staffing, and a more adventurous choice of spirits, Small Batch could deliver an experience that better matches its reputation.

There's party music available in the background if you're not hiring a dj and want to skip making your own playlist. There are screens where they can play a slideshow if you'd like. Free and plentiful parking in the rear lot. We would definitely do an event here again!

Another Yelp Elite and I came here for Father's Day Buffet Brunch 2026, and we loved the supreme…read moreservice and stellar food. From the moment we walked in the door, we were bowled over by the exceptional hospitality and elegant atmosphere. Not only were we checked in by Isabella; and waited on by Jose and Mary; we were captivated by Manager Michael and Executive Chef Anup, who both came to our table and introduced themselves to us. A round of applause goes to Mary for taking care of us by bringing our cocktails on time and continually replenishing our water glasses. We never had to flag her down. A shoutout goes to the Chef Anup for making food that was fresh and flavorful. Everything was beautifully presented and expertly prepared. My favorites were the caviar, fresh lobster, and the rack of lamb. David Burke's Signature Clothes Line Bacon was also incredible because it was caramelized and had good crunch. It got its moniker "clothes line" from the clothes pin that it is hung on--What an innovative presentation (see photo below). The unlimited alcohol was a plus, too; and the hot coffee was so good that I had a few refills, and I don't usually drink hot coffee. I prefer iced... The brunch was pricey, but it was worth it because of the vast array of food, drink and world-class service.

The place is beautiful (as you might expect given its location) and the staff treats you like royalty from the minute you walk in. No bread when you sit down, but do yourself a favor and order the bread as an appetizer- it's so good. For entrees my wife got a pasta dish while I went for the New York strip, and it was perfect. The sides only enhanced the meal for us (seriously, the Mac and cheese was great and if not for my fish hating wife, I would've gone for the lobster mac which I'm sure is even better). We even went for the dessert and my wife couldn't get enough of the sorbet, while I had to fight her off from sampling my crème brûlée. It's a little pricey so probably not a place you'll dine in frequently, but for special occasions or a "treat yo self", you can't go wrong here!

I finally visited a sister restaurant of Luigi's located across the street from the Floral Park…read moreTrain Station. The ambiance appears to be bigger than Luigi's and it's always busy/packed. Reservations are highly recommended. A lot of my mom friends rave about this place and I got to dine here twice with them, once for brunch and the other for dinner. The first time I came here was with my child for brunch. I got a mocktail and we ordered chicken and waffles along the unadvertised kids menu containing chicken fingers and fries. Portions for both dishes were generous and took home the leftovers. We also shared the Brussels sprouts and the infamois complimentary bread, which were really good. The second and most recent time we went was for dinner with the a huge group of moms. We shared the Caesar salad, Brussels sprouts, and general two's cauliflower, which was amazing. I had the red sangria and a taste of the Huckleberry lemonade, drinks were strong. For the entrees I ordered the salmon and once again portion was huge, took it home and the hubby ate the leftovers. Other moms ordered the frose, spicy paloma, le poulet and spicy Rigatoni. At the end we had key lime pie which tasted great but I was too full to finish it. I'll be coming to this spot more often because of great company and food!

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with friendly and attentive service. There was no wait time, which made the evening even more enjoyable and stress free for such a large group. The food was fresh, delicious, and served in the perfect portions. Everything was so good that we left nothing behind. I had the flan, and it was honestly the best flan I have ever had. My niece ordered the chocolate cake, and it was absolutely perfect. This was one of the best dining experiences we have had for a special occasion. Whether you are celebrating a birthday, graduation, anniversary, or any important moment, this restaurant makes the experience feel memorable and special. We have been here before for my birthday dinner. We cannot wait to return.

I highly recommend the all-you-can-eat rodizio and the branzino, but honestly everything there is delicious. And don't even get me started on the desserts--Heavenly Whites... OMG!! Simply incredible.
