Nice big outdoor patio looking over the water but the food was underwhelming. Service was good, food came out fairly quick but all the dishes were heavy on the salt. We had chicken and sausage bowl of gumbo; fresh catch of the day flounder with crawfish etouffee topping; dirty rice and red bean and rice. Would be delicious if they were less salty. My recent visit my waitress was Rachel & Laura and they were awesome!!!! Went in on a Tuesday evening. We had our dog with us so we got to sit out on the deck. We got two pounds of crawfish, waitress asked if we'd like extra seasoning and drawn butter which we went for. The Crawfish were not bad. One medium sized potato per person, one segment of corn per person, and that's pretty much it. When we received the bill we saw that we were charged for the seasoning and two melted butters. I'm kind of glad I wasn't asked if I wanted a diet Coke refill, I have a feeling I may have been charged. The service was lacking although the seemingly locals sitting at the bar weren't for wanting more than their share of attention. Restaurant had gotten a little busy as our evening progressed, the outside area wasn't more than a third full. I'd go try out a few more places before coming back here to give it a second chance. More like a 3.5. Great place for a meal with a view or to watch sports. Picnic style bench seating on the patio. Most of the standard bar fare I've eaten here was tasty (nachos, wings, fries etc). The crawfish were really big and well seasoned but the seasoning was a little overpowering for the corn which was very spicy. The snow crab was good. I tried the stuffed snapper the last time I was there and was disappointed. It looked amazing but the flavors were off. The sauce had a strong mustard flavor and the crabcake stuffing was bland. The fish tasted old like it had been cooked and reheated. I was told the VOD was broccoli but got squash which had way too much garlic. I like garlic but you could literally scrape the minced garlic off in heaps. One thing that bothered me the last time we went on a Sunday afternoon was that we were told it was a 40 min wait for the patio even though my fiance could see three empty tables. We opted to sit inside and shortly after overhead another couple talking about the 15 minute wait for the patio. We figured by the time we finished our apps a table would be ready so I went back to the hostess to put in our name for a patio table and this time was told it was a 35 minute wait. Our table was ready in 15 minutes. I don't know if she was intentionally trying to discourage us from waiting for a table outside or if she was bad at estimating wait times but it was an odd discrepancy in such a short period of time. read more

Went for lunch after NASA with the family. The view on the water was gorgeous! The food was mediocre. The crab bites might as well be renamed to hush puppies, because they are all breading with little to no crab. The shark bites were super fishy. The catfish had great flavor, but the breading came off as soon as you picked it up. The fried shrimp and the view were the saving grace of our lunch. We aren't from the area, but I wouldn't return if I lived there. If I did, I would return for the view abs drinks only. read more

Very disappointed! I had a good lunch, but when I went back to my car the gate to their dumpster was broken and had hit and dented the side of my car. Marv the owner said it was not his problem or responsibility and to call Endeavor Marina. I talked with a very mean-spirited lady Stacy that said it was not possible that that could even happen and not her problem and No...she would not come out to look at it, nor would she give me any insurance information. So..I end up having to file a police report and pay to get my car fixed The kitchen staff put a keg in front of the gate to keep it closed, but when I drove by today the gate is still broken and nothing is keeping it in place and there isn't a sign not to park in that space..so please be warned..that was a VERY expensive lunch read more

Went for lunch with some colleagues got the lunch blackened fish with a drink the food was okay didn't amaze me but not bad yet when it was time for the check I noticed I had been overcharged and the waitress told me it would be taken care of and she collected our cards anyways when the new check came (that had already been paid for) I noticed I was overcharged even more than the first time! We simply didn't have the time for her to do it all again so I tipped and left but it left a bad impression being overcharged twice in one sitting especially since the second time was even more than the first check I told her about. read more

So I'll give them the shark bites were amazing... then that was the last good thing that came from the kitchen.. the nachos came out soggy... the wings came out with the mango habanero sauce on only half of the wings on top of that sauce tasted like they mixed a buffalo sauce with the mango just wasn't a good fit either way... then to top it off of the 5 burgers ordered not a single one came out correctly and I'm talking missing ingredients that were listed to come on the burger. I had eaten at Sam's Boat a few years back and wasn't very impressed. We dropped in to watch the astros since our usual bar was packed. They have plenty of TV's and a small projector for viewing sports balls. We were pleasantly surprised that there was no wait! They had a few beer/bomb specials (3.25 domestic longnecks) so we settled in for a long 9 innings. We ordered dinner and were happy to see that they have an expanded menu and the food was actually pretty darn good. I got the shrimp blt wrap and the hubby got the shipwreck chicken, which was definitely the winner of the night. Service was a little spotty and the table tops were kind of wobbly (like almost all of them), so minus one star. We will be back! read more

We sat outside and the cloud of cigarette smoke was horrible. Our waitress was not very attentive, as she was gone for 30 to 45 mins at one time without ever coming to our table. As we left the hostess again never said bye, have a good night, come again etc etc. These girls are the first thing and last thing you see. Went to Sam's boast last night with a couple friends to watch the Astros game. From the moment we walked in we were NOT greeted by the 3 hostess staff up front. They were very unwelcoming and one in Particular had a serious attitude problem. We decided to stay and watch the game outside. We were flooded by the smell of cigarette smoke. It was hard to enjoy our environment. When leaving, once again NO "goodbye thanks" or "come again, have a good night" from the front staff. Sorry, but your Front desk welcoming staff is The first thing you see when you walk in and the last thing you see before you leave. These people can make or break you. After a long day of travel and picking up other family members from the airport and getting settled in to my Airbnb, my mom, aunt and I were starving and looking for someplace that was open at 10:30 at night. Yelp led me to Sam's Boat. The reviews looked good, and it was open and so off we went. It's a spacious sportsbar/seafood place. Lots of TVs to watch The Game (whatever one you want) but with a very nautical theme. After a very long day, I just wanted a cocktail and some food. Luckily it was Thursday night and they had some great drink specials. Premium alcohol for $4.50. Cool. I ordered Ketel One and oj. My mom and aunt ordered Salty Dogs in honor of my grandfather/their father. Our drinks came and we made a toast, each one of us tasting our drink at the same time. We three had identical looks of having tasted a very stiff drink. LOL. They do not skimp on the booze here. I actually had to ask for a side of oj to be able to drink my cocktail. Wow! For food I ordered their grilled shrimp tacos. They were delicious. The beans were just how I like them, kind of soupy. The Spanish rice tasted homemade, not just some gross mix. We ordered queso too and it was really really good. Perfectly crunch chips and all around fantastic. I didn't see a waitress after the crawfish landed on my open seating high top bar table. Speaking of crawfish, only 3 in the 1lb pan separated from the tail. The pan also only included one potato and 1" of corn cob. Market price for this is still a mystery since I've been sitting here for 30 minutes without service. Pretty average restaurant/bar. They do have some outdoor patio seating, which is nice by the water. While the front door says "no smoking or vaping", they do allow smoking on the back patio seating area. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, most of the chicken was beyond over cooked. Some Chicken pieces were even harder than the croutons. We also ordered a BBQ Crispy Chicken Sandwich. The burger was average but the fries were actually very good. Service was really good. Sams Boat was a HUGE disappointment tonight! We ordered the appetizer sampler, 8 boneless wings, ($2.00 extra for bone-in which I happily paid), 4 sliders and a cup of queso w/chips for $15.95 +$2.00. We also ordered an order of fries and onion rings. SB uses to have GREAT wings but tonight they were horrible. ALL were dry, out of the 8, 6 were imperfects. What I mean is a drum looked like a drum and a flapper looked like a flapper. They plated the top nub of a drum, they plated 3 flappers that were either missing the second bone and meat or were cut on one end to where the bone was sharp and sticking out, one of which cut my upper lip, another flapper had one bone and part of the tip. One piece we couldn't even make out what it was. I tried to make the best of it but once my lip was cut I was over it. I left 3 wings, well 1 drumette and the other 2 were the top of a drumette and the unidentifiable one. Now for the sliders. They were served on sweet buns like Hawaiian rolls and bread and butter pickles. Well, my husband does not like sweet rolls or sweet pickles. Had the menu started that, we would have reconsidered our order. He ate 1 1/2 and just couldn't stomach anymore. Carina our server did bring us some dill pickles which were fine. She accommodated us all night and did a GREAT job. I brought to her attention about the wings and the buns and she quickly called the Manager, DEVON. I explained and showed DEVON, the quality of the defective wings. He showed little to no interest in what I was showing him. I pointed out that some of those wings were so defective they should not even have been plated. He said the kitchen was very busy and missed it. As far as them being dry, he said they have to make sure the wings are cooked. When I showed him the defective wings, he asked if I had broken them off of another piece. I had to count the wings for him, show him that I had not "done anything" to the wings to exaggerate the defect. I also told him that the menu should specify that the sliders are on a sweet bun. He asked what I wanted "out of this" and I said 50% off of this plate, =$9.00. He said no way, he would do 25%, but that's all because we consumed, part of the food. I left 3 1/2 wings and 2 1/2 sliders. He said 25% was all he was willing to do. He came back 5 minutes later and said he would give us $5.00 off. At this point I just was over it, made my mind up that this would probably be our last time here, which is sad, because this used to be our go to place for ball games, crawfish and when visitors came into town. I cannot see myself going to an establishment that does not respect their customers and wants to blame the customer for their defective food. What was supposed to be a nice night out, Astros game, great weather, celebrating my husband back in the country, turned out to be a fail. Me and my travel partner had a great dinner at Sam's Boat. She got the blackened shrimp and a cobb salad, I got the fried fish tacos and a side of onion rings. The fish tacos were really flavorful and while I typically like breaded, fried fish, the fish in their fish tacos was pan fried and I really liked it. I didn't care for their Spanish rice or beans but the onion rings were delicious and my friend loved the shrimp. Me and my family have been here at least 10 times. It is one of the only restaurants near us with a water view. The atmosphere is nice with the indoor/outdoor vibe and a lot of TV screens with sports. The food is legit and reasonably priced. The burgers, sandwiches, fish, wraps and gumbo are all good. I've taken out-of-town visitors here and they all loved it. The house-made pickles are crazy good. My kids beg to go to Sam's boat. They have drink specials pretty much every day. I live in seabrook and took my friend to sans boat. I ordered the crab legs. I ate one and my mouth immediately tasted funny. I opened another leg, it smelled straight up like ammonia. Told the waitress who was so nice. She came back and the manager told her to tell me they would make me another plate. I declined. The manager never came out. So disappointed WILL NEVER GO BACK. Absolutely the worst experience ever today. Ac no good it's hot in there . Had to wait on a table with a bunch of tables open like maybe 40 people in the whole place . Just 2 of us .. so then finally get sat at a table by these boxes of TVs with the ac vent dripping on table . So finally got moved to another table ... order 2 draft beers they were not even cold ... so not saying anything we go ahead and order the haystack burger and stuffed jalapeños for this to all arrive . Starting with Jalapeños not done and cold. So now the burger comes and fries burger was missing the guacamole and chipotle mayo which obviously the part of the reason we ordered the burger the fries were uneatable like leather . So we bring to waitress attention and her reply was oh yea we're out of that. Let's just say this place needs help. Absolutely awful experience . Finally just got up walked out.
