This specific location is my favorite fast food restaurant. A "side" of chicken or steak is keto friendly and priced very reasonable. Their preparation is delicious so even plain meat isn't plain, and tastes delicious! Add a side salad and it's a reasonably priced, very quick, very healthy meal! They recently completed a complete store renovation just before COVID hit so the store looks fresh and clean inside. Warm and friendly owner who remembers all of his regular customers. Man oh man! This spot is very good!!! I stopped in and got a sumo bowl that has teriyaki dark meat, white meat and some teriyaki beef! And it was made fresh, quickly and was so delicious! Went in after a shift at work and was starving. I just had a baby 11 weeks ago so I'm trying to watch what I eat. They have new flavors of sauces that Louis showed me and samples me on. Customer service absolutely the WORST! They deserve no stars! I've always enjoyed the food. I was craving a steak teriyaki bowl so I bought a large meal. My daughter is vegan so I thought the edidame would be a great option for her. Checked the food when I got home and they gave me a medium bowl not large. Almost zero teriyaki sauce. My daughter started to eat her edidame and it was hard and she said tasted like it was sitting there few days then overheated. She threw it away. I took a bite out of my egg roll and spit it out. It was hard and stale tasting. The teriyaki bowl had barely any teriyaki sauce on it. The steak and rice were so gross I threw it away too. Thought for sure we would get food poisoning. I also got two sides of just the meat (overpriced) those went in the trash too. The only thing good was the fountain soda. I called them right away the girl said she was very sorry and she would leave a message for the manager to call me immediately. Two days later and I just called them and gave feedback only to be yelled at. Told her I would leave a bad review and she said go ahead as she's yelling over my voice and hung up on me. I just want my money back so will have to dispute charges. I will pass the word to everyone I know to not eat here. Customer service was as bad as the food. Too bad because it used to be my favorite. Nice guy behind the counter, but very stingy on the meat. I asked for 2 dishes, both "Large" meaning extra meat but it still was paltry. I asked for a meat/chicken combo w/brown rice and he got it right. I also asked for a large white meat chicken with NO rice, but more veggies. I guess that was too complicated. Both dishes served in a plastic bowl 5/6th full of rice, a thin layer of veggies and a thinner layer of meat. It took exactly 75 seconds for my order to be passed to me. If this was McDonald's , that'd be normal. For a teriyaki place, that's an obvious indication of 'pre-cookery' so who knows how long ago the meat was made. I just moved here and I really hope this isn't the best Teriyaki this area has to offer. I also got some chicken wrap thing, which was actually pretty good, well 2 of them as that was my own "delivery reward". Paid $19 for the entire order. I won't go back since I'm not into paying all that $$ for a huge bowl of rice and very little meat. This place would not last 1 week in Seattle. (or many other places for that matter) read more

I went in with some stamped cards to after ten stamps you receive a free meal I actually had 11 stamps. I gave them the cards. He started laying the cards out on the counter yelling at me that they need to be on one card. We have always done this and they always accepted them. Continuing to tell at me in front of other customers did not feel good. He then told me it was all done electronically. He never helped me understand how to set that up he ended up giving me 5 dollars off so I lost my free meal and my 11th stamp as well. Very rude I was so upset how I was treated after being a customer for 17 years in Scottsdale. I sent a message to the manager and to corporate and haven't heard s word from either one. Food was very good. I ordered the Korean barbecue chicken bowl with brown rice, lots of chicken and vegetables and the Korean sauce was slightly spicy and very pleasant. Husband had chicken and steak yakisoba bowl, no veggies, and spicy teriyaki sauce, he liked it, lots of chicken and steak, he said sauce not that spicy but he has a high pain tolerance. We also tried the grilled eggrolls, they were tasty, the filling seemed like ground up meat and veggies rather than actual pieces of meat and vegetable, we like hot eggrolls so I warmed them in a pan just a few minutes. The people are just rude, and don't care at all about maintaining loyal customers. The couple that run this place are always happy which affects you in a positive way. (Makes me wonder what's really in that teriyaki sauce ) They are my go to place when I'm in the mood for teriyaki. I've used them a few times for team meals and they have always had everything ready on time and helped me out to the car. Of all the Samurai Sam's in the Valley, I like this one the best. For some reason the chicken is always so much better here - I don't know why but its seriously better here. I really like the manager guy who is always there (can't remember his name) he always remembers what I order and asks me how business is going. The outdated, faded menu makes you feel like you are ordering at a concession stand at a baseball game. The food is decent, but nothing special. I have had the teriyaki bowl, egg rolls, and the Thai Peanut bowl. The sauces were very tasty, but they go a little light on the protein and veggies, especially for the price. When Samurai Sam's was new on the scene, they seemed to be innovative and making something others weren't or doing it better. I love eating here and stop by almost every time I get my nails done. Their specialty is their teriyaki chicken bowl. I would suggest adding extra teriyaki as the rice can be a little dry at times. We received some coupons at work and decided to try this place out. I had never been at Samurai Sam's before, but in looked good in the pictures. Got there and when placing my order I asked a couple of questions about the menu and the cupon I had (what options I had, what else I could get...) and he take the coupon from me and says "Is only one, teriyaki meat, sauce that's it." I said okay (prob had a bad day, won't make a big deal about his attitude), and continue to order adding one more bowl to it. Every question I would ask him he would answer it as if he was scolding me, just very horrible customer service. He was older, hispanic male at the cash register, I couldn't see the name tag but he had like a gold tooth it seemed like. Got my order to go, asked for a couple of fortune cookies from the box sitting behind him when I was about to leave, and he said that my order did not come with any fortune cookies, only the kid's meal. This I just thought was outrageous, I just spent $20 for 3 bowls and 2 sodas, horrible service, and you are going to deny me of a fortune cookie, really? Really?
